Beautiful place, really tasty food, pho soup is a must certainly one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried in Europe. It has a little touch of French brasserie with beef tartare and carpaccio. The smell of pho in the restaurant is amazing. A must try.

Went on a Thursday ~13:30 and the place was packed. They have the giant pots with the broth at the front so you’re greeted with a rich and warm aroma. Waited 5-10min to get a seat at a shared table. Ordered the chicken pho and Madam Ngo mix drink. I went with the server’s recommendation to get the mango flavour. Drink and food came out quickly. Madam Ngo mango mix: 6/10 Refreshing though still slightly on the sweet side. The fresh mint and citrus were lovely, but wouldn’t order again for €6. Chicken pho: 7/10 Superb broth, clear and light yet full of umami. Added a bit of fish sauce and chili oil to taste but honestly didn’t need it. Chicken had good flavour, but texture could’ve been silkier and more tender. Chicken hearts were a mix- some were hard and crunchy, others were soft. Liver was okay. If the chicken hearts were sliced, that might help with consistency. I usually do that if I’m grilling it so not sure if it’ll work the same for boiling. Pho was served with two lemon slices and chili. It was missing the bean sprouts and fresh aromatics like Thai basil, cilantro, and mint that wouldn’t elevated the pho and made it heartier. For €19 I expected better execution for the meat. Overall I’d come back here because of the sumptuous broth and quick service. I’d try the beef pho next time. It seems like the more popular one.

Dinner at Madame Ngo was a fantastic experience! A reservation was essential as the place was fully booked, and walk-ins were turned away. The team was super friendly, the service quick, and the food exceptional. We shared several dishes: the carpaccio with a special sauce was amazing, the chicken was incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth good, and the papaya salad was spot-on (though I’d skip the beef sticks—they didn’t add much). For mains, the salmon was delicious, paired with a unique and flavorful sauce, while the steak, served medium (perfect for us), was excellent, though the accompanying salad was just okay. Dessert was a light and refreshing mango ice with sticky rice—a perfect finish. The tables were close, but it was easy to hear each other, making for a cozy and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend! I’ll also share photos of the dishes to show how beautifully everything was presented.

Excellent Vietnamese street food. The restaurant is pleasant but can be quite loud during the lunch time rush. Order simply, courses are not recommended as the tables are small and when very busy waits can be long. At lunchtime a reservation is necessary.

The ingredients for all dishes were fresh, the portions were generous, and the taste was, needless to say, delicious. Vietnamese beef tartare tasted like a fine dining dish. Very friendly service. We will be back again.

Came a couple minutes before opening (because I didn’t get a reservation). There were plenty of tables available for walk-ins at that time. Service was swift. I had the pho with raw beef slices and it was delicious! The beef was super tender and the broth flavorful. The ginger slices in the broth was a great touch. Portion is big. If you’d like to try more dishes, I recommend coming with friends!

I visited around 1 PM on a weekday and was able to get in after a short wait without a reservation. The broth of the pho was incredibly flavorful, and the meat was thin and tender. The interior of the restaurant was clean and well-organized, and the staff were very friendly, which left a great impression!

First thing's first: definitely secure that reservation. I believe they reopen for dinner at 6pm and there was an entire line out the door waiting for them to open. The ambience is great inside, with cute decor and good vibes. The service was surprisingly prompt and attentive given our experience with other places in Berlin-- we got our food all in good time with adequate time in between to catch up with the other people we were getting dinner with. The absolute STARS of this meal were the appetizers. The spring rolls were huge and so crispy and came with lettuce to wrap it in. The server also recommended a shrimp dish that we had never had before, so we decided to try it. I have no idea what this dish is because I've never even seen it in NYC, but it was amazing-- toasted bread pieces with shrimp and a cream/cheese-like sauce. It was super indulgent but incredible all the same. The main courses were all in all good. The chicken rice was kinda like a niu rou fan (the minced pork over rice Taiwanese rice dish) but just chicken. It was an interesting serving method-- with the chicken stock on the side. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to end up as a soup? But no, the rice just absorbs the soup and makes it more flavorful! The pho was a standout only because of the sheer amount of meat they gave us. We got the three beef pho (so brisket, steak, AND meatballs). I have never seen any restaurant be THIS generous with the meat. I split this bowl with my sister and it didn't even seem like I'd eaten any meat when I passed it over to her after eating half. The noodles were a little too al dente for me, but that fact was completely overshadowed by the fact that we got a. ton. of meat. We went to 3 Vietnamese places while in Germany and I'd definitely say this was my favorite!

I came here for dinner with my brother in law. It was fantastic! One of the best Vietnamese food I've had in some time. We shared the following things: Kim's Summer Salad (palm heart, prawns, watercress..), Les Trois Cochons (pork belly 3 ways) and a bowl of chicken pho. Everything was excellent! The salad was the perfect starter, nice and refreshing herbs contrast with the fish sauce dressing. The pork belly was phenomenal and each preparation was delicious. In fact, it was not possible to choose which preparation was our favorite. And that pho! Wow! Fantastic broth! I'm craving this now thinking of this. There's one Vietnamese eatery in NY that is very similar to Madame Ngo and I may have to go visit it soon to satisfy my craving.

All I am going to say about this place is that it serves best vegan pho I have tried in my life, and I tried plenty. The broth is flavorful, the noodles are firm, and the veggies are crunchy. My companion enjoyed his beef pho that was packed with meat. He tried hard but could not finish his portion.

Pho was ok, not great but not as bad. Price reasonable. It's a nice environment for family and friends.

Closed at 10 pm. Yelp lists midnight. Perhaps because it is a Wednesday? perhaps because they are slow? Maybe because Yelp is an American website and they do not know?

Did not expect to find this quality of Vietnamese noodles (pho) in Berlin! Beats every pho places I have been to in all of the Bay Area. It is that good. Superb ingredients, real fresh beef and beef balls looked hand made to me. Taste 100% authentic. Awesome Asian flare decor with hip music in the background. I wish I brought 2 stomach :)

Madame Ngo is a Vietnamese French restaurant that serves Indochine-French fusion cuisine. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed those huge pots for the pho broth at the window, the bar that reminded me of a noodle soup bar similar to ramen places in Japan and the "typical" Berlin style interior: somehow classy but simplistic. Food: The menu consists of three sections: Pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup; Banh Mi, the Vietnamese Sandwiches and the French fusion section offering dishes, such as beef tartar. Since I am very familiar with Vietnamese cuisine from home, I ordered the Pho with cooked beef (10€) and my friend the Pho with "medium" beef (11€). The prices are impressive for dishes like pho, since they are usually located at a range of 6-8 €. On the menu, they also offered Pho with bio chicken. My expectations were high and as I was sitting right in front of the food bar, I could observe every single step in the preparation of the Pho. After having the first bite, I was surprised by the very high quality of meet, which was tender and soft, the broth was clear and full - flavoured like the traditional pho. Service: Young and hip team that is easy going and always open for a little chat. The service is good and fast. Very friendly and interesting team of mixed Asians and Germans. Interior/Ambience: The interior is simplistic but perfect to have a chilled and relaxed dinner with your friends. The dimmed lights created a warm and cozy atmosphere. Price: For the pho, I can say that it is definitely pricey. If you order the special pho it goes up to 16€. The portions are alright but not generous. So my friend (male) was still hungry afterwards. However, I have to admit that the quality of the meat and the broth is exceptional and indeed, I never had a better pho in Berlin. The quality of the ingredients they use and also the location, at Kantstraße, justifies the price level. Tip: This place has newly opened in February and since then it is packed during the whole week. If you plan to go there for a date or in a group, I would recommend to make a reservation, otherwise only at the bar you might find a seat.

Amazing! One of the best meals that I have had in my almost 5 years here in Berlin. Staff are attentive, food is mindblowing and decor is gorgeous. Can't wait to visit again

Pho was good. Big portion, great ambience. Please note that you will smell like Pho afterwards. Do it yourself Summer rolls are the best. Only thing I did not like about the pho ga /Chicken was that it was not just breast but different parts of the chicken including skin. Something I can do without.

Great Vietnamese fusion on the west side of Berlin. Finding welcoming and quality spots like this make business travel bearable. The pho is solid with a nice beefy stock and the summer salad with heart of Palm was a great twist on the common shredded cabbage salad. Will definitely return.

Nice interior. The raw beef in Pho tastes good; the portion is big, but the price (around 11 euro) is relatively high compared to normal price.

Tasty pho with organic chicken and amazing summer rolls with crabmeat. I wouldn't say that I was able to detect that it's better than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Berlin. Plus, it's a bit more expensive.

Yummy! They serve all the wonderful Vietnamese specialties ( from pho to Ban mi) we all know and love and it's delicious. Definitely a favorite in that area of Berlin.

nothing warms you up better or gets you feeling satisfied than a warm bowl of pho. i love pho. i'm the guy who gets pho even when hes in a country like hungary. i've had pho from all corners of the world... cali pho, philly pho, NYC pho (which is horrible), saigon pho, hanoi pho, and of course berlin pho. hands down madame ngo has the BEST pho i've ever tasted. as soon as you walk into the restaurant, a hard look left and you will see a huge pot where they are boiling the broth. always a good indication. the pho itself is seasoned perfectly and topped with very thin sliced ribeye meat. the meat practically melts in your mouth as you eat. the spring rolls are also bomb. love this place. 5 stars ez.

berlin and i have been distant lovers for quite some time, by that i mean we've been in bed with some of the same peoples but have never felt too close to each other. but i need to give credit where credit is due, berlin is trying, and trying hard to get closer. madame ngo is one of these attempts and while the taint of berlinesque cold hipsterness is still in the air madame ngo is part of the trending improvement of restaurants that cater to a more adventurous more diverse population, that are willing to, suspense, drum roll, add some spicy to their soups and accept that there are no potatoes in it. A for effort and B+ for food. 3 stars.

This was the best Vietnamese food that we've had, the waiters were really attentive. Overall a great experience, we'll be back!
