MadLab Creamery Review - Design District - Miami - The Infatuation

"MadLab is an ice cream shop in the Design District. And, like all things in the Design District, it’s a little fancy and over-the-top. For example, you can get your ice cream topped with gold leaf and fluffy cotton candy that will kind of make your cone look like Bob Ross. But the reason we like this place is that the ice cream underneath all that fancy stuff is really good. And if you don’t want to pick gold leaf out of your teeth in the bathroom, you can just come here for a couple plain scoops of matcha or passion fruit and still be very satisfied. photo credit: Tasty Planet" - Ryan Pfeffer

Doral Gets a Live Entertainment Focused Gastropub— and More Openings - Eater Miami

"The mastermind behind the desserts at places like Alter and Brava, Soraya Kilgore, has debuted her first standalone ice cream and sweets shop MadLab Creamery in the Miami Design District (140 NE 39th Street). The store serves up unique ice cream creations topped with items like cotton candy and edible glitter, along with chocolate bark by the pound, Japanese cheesecake, cookies and cupcakes." - Olee Fowler

Very cute place. Great location. Nice flooring (very original) The ice cream is average. They should have more flavors. Lemon and Passion Fruit flavors are very very acids (they should improve those). Mango flavor it’s delicious! Overall we liked it. Besides, when you walk outside, the atmosphere it’s amazing! You can enjoy the view of palm trees and the Dome. Beautiful!

Delicious ice cream and gelato - they offer three different flavors of cones too: 1Chocolate 2Matcha & 3Plain. The staff is friendly and happy to give you as many samples your heart desires. The MadLab ice cream shop is located in a family friendly square with plenty of seating and photo opportunities. 📸 😋 🍨 🍦

Love the ice cream here, employees are friendly and professional. The decoration looks nice and clean. The only downside is Japanese cheesecake.. It should taste more cheese like Japanese cheese cake not like butter cake.. Anything else is good.

Finally - some decent soft serve in Miami! I am from the north east and I have always felt like there is a severe lack of soft serve places down here, so I was excited when I heard about this one. They also have hard ice cream, but they are known for the soft serve. I got the chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve on a cone with graham cracker crumble. It was good ice cream - nothing to write home about, but good! I would get it again, but I wouldn’t get the graham cracker dust because every time I took a bite it would all blow away 😭. Overall, the place has a nice vibe and is a great treat if you’re walking around the design district!

Where sweet dreams come true! Sparkly cotton candy ON TOP of my ice cream cone? Yes, please!! Instagramworthy and delicious! I’m shocked by the other reviews - service was super friendly and cone is now served with a napkin (though not sure why anyone would make a big deal about this - just wash your hands before eating...employees wear gloves so they’re not contaminating the cone).

Staff was friendly enough but after we got our ice cream they the all (3 of them) took out their food and started eating. One had a big bag of potato chips. Anyway when the next is timers came in they didn’t was their hands, just put on the same gloves as before. Not enough vegan options as well but the ice cream was good. Oh and check out what was on the table next to us.

We love MadLab 👏🏼 My son loves the passion fruit flavour and is obsessed with the gold topping. Can wait to visit again.
