"Restaurant owner Magda Sayeg describes her Williamsburg establishment as a “Lebanese oyster bar.” Oysters and daily specials aside, the restaurant serves up Mediterranean fare like a falafel fried chicken sandwich, tabouli, and a trio of labneh balls. Along with outdoor dining, Magdalene is open daily from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and available on Caviar for delivery." - Eater Staff

This place had some really good food! But we had some problems with our experience. The drinks are delicious I highly recommend the hibiscus. For food we decided to order a bunch of plates to share and ordered the: mezza platter, brussel sprouts and shawarma sandwich. We also ordered the fried zucchini but they brought us out the feta cheese platter instead. They didn’t bring us the fried zucchini and charged us for the cheese platter which we did not order. Also the mezza platter comes with hummus, baba ganoush, Labne and tabouleh but the tabouleh wasn’t traditional and looked more like quinoa.

Not the biggest fan of Mediterranean food but Ill admit they did a pretty good job at convincing me otherwise. First off the restaurant is very nice and lowkey with good aesthetics (especially the lighting). The drinks were prepared to perfection, good mix of alcohol and flavor. The mezze plate was elite, I’ve never had hummus so fresh. The halal fried chicken sandwich was delicious, crispy and very well seasoned. Please try!!!

We stopped in for drinks and oysters. Loved the vibe all around. Definitely the best Bloody Mary and green mimosa we have ever tasted. Each member of the staff was friendly.

I love this restaurant! Make sure you get your drinks from Mahi and Dwyer at the bar. Awesome dude. I’ve been going on a weekly basis and the food is excellent. So the dish pictured is the Beirut Style Shawarma Galette but without the bread and with lamb. Twelve out of ten stars. Would highly recommend. Update: Just got the Lebneh & Stracciatella … and the flavors are amazing with the olives and pickled vegetables on top 😋 also, I keep coming back for the Arrack Rum Punch…

Wow. Really wild. My fiancée said "WOW, they sure earned those 5 stars" and she's right. We had the mezze platter and it was REALLY good. The bread was so fresh. It was $18 and I had my doubts but they care. They made it happen. Cocktails were good. I feel a proud Mediterranean today.

Let me start off by saying that the food and drinks were fantastic and I would definitely go back. I’m giving it 5 stars because I really did have a great time overall. I would like to note a few things that would improve my experience next time. 1: the waitress had an odd demeanor and the friend I was with can typically get anyone excited to talk to but this woman was not having it. She seemed a bit like I’m too cool for this but maybe that’s just what you get at some places in Brooklyn. 2: our entrees came out while we were still eating our appetizers. I would have appreciated having those spaced out a bit more. It felt rushed. It did not deter me from wanting to return or enjoying how amazing the food and drinks were!

Great platters and enough vegan options to pick from! Gourmet, exotic combinations of flavors. Overall, loved it and would return. Drinks were amazing. Brocoli rabu was a little salty only.

Great night at Magdalene! We were seated quickly, food came out fast and big portions. Drinks were tasty though not very strong.
