"It looks like an abandoned office building, but Maeil Garden on the ground floor is the go-to spot for charcoal-fired Yangnyum dweji galbi, where even the rib bones are saved for grilling with bonus flecks of charred meat. In Korean fashion, get it with a bowl of nengmyun either as a pairing or a follow-up to the barbecue. Even the bibim naengmyun here has crushed ice that makes for a lusciously lubricated bowl of noodles. The dipping sauce for the jeon (pancakes) like a shredded potato jeon is extra thick with seasoning like gochugaru and scallions. Across three generations, the restaurant has stayed within the family, and as a testament to its duration in a now-crowded Murray Hill, the dining room is spacious, and has a parking lot and back patio." - Caroline Shin

Google
Korean BBQ is amazing, but grill on charcoal bring the taste to the next level, the food taste authentic, the Kimchi aged very well help enhance the flavor and good for your health too. Do not forget try the seafood pancake too it's crunchy. There is good parking space dedicated for this restaurant.

Google
I had a great time at this KBBQ restaurant! The marinated pork was really tasty and cooked just right. The side dishes were delicious, especially the soybean paste stew—it had amazing flavor. The potato pancake was also really good. The staff members were friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a solid KBBQ spot, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Erin Lee

Google
This restaurant is the best charcoal BBQ place like BBQ kalbi. I loved pork galbi a lot. The port taste like beef and the meat is so soft and chewy and so juicy from meat. The price is so reasonable and I am meeting with my friends sometimes for dinner. Never disappoint!

Tayun Park

Google
We ordered 2 servings of the marinated pork short ribs and 2 servings of the marinated beef short rip. The meat servings were an okay amount but the plentiful side dishes made up for it. They were all tasteful and the wide variety of side dishes allowed everyone to have something they liked. Disclaimer: they did offer us free drinks on exchange for the review but I would recommend this place for the tasteful meat and fun atmosphere.

Google
The ambiance here is so nice, and the owner is super sweet. I came here for lunch with four friends, and everything was so delicious that I barely managed to take photos. Not pictured is the marinated beef, which was our favorite ^^

Google
I've been coming here for years and never wrote a review until now! Best pork kalbi 돼지갈비 in NYC and service is always so kind. The meat is grilled on the side and brought to the table ready to eat! Tasty seasoning and tender meat!Love the seafood pancake 해물파전 as well! Great when coming with family or a group of friends. I always find myself coming to Flushing just for this gem.

Google
We had a car rental that we had an extra day for, so decided to make a trip out to flushing for some authentic Korean food, and we definitely got that!!! The service was amazing and I felt like I was back in Korea for a bit. Everyone was so sweet and the food was delicious. Def plan to come back with or without a car ✨️ highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

Google
This is officially my favorite Korean bbq. It’s the only place that has charcoal that I know of in my area. The grilling was fast and food was absolutely delicious. There was SO much banchan!! Lots of options and all were delicious!!

Em C.

Yelp
Love the food. They BBQ is cooked on coals, I'm not sure if that adds to the flavor, but I do like how it tastes. My favorites are, pork belly and marinated beef.

R T.

Yelp
The service is decent with friendly hosts. Parking in the rear. The marinated beef is good! Wide space makes it feel not too crowded.

Eun Chong L.

Yelp
Been coming to the Mail garden for over 15 years, and recently moved to NJ.. couldn't find a place that had Marinated Pork ribs like they do..Do my long drive for their ribs....

Kim J.

Yelp
It was friendly. Reasonable price. The quality of the Charcoal was good and the side dishes and ribs were delicious. It is also recommended for those who are thinking price young people but want best korean food with good meat.

Joy S.

Yelp
Come hungry! We ordered the porks ribs and the pork belly+kimchi w/ fried rice and it was delicious! I loved the marinade on the pork ribs and the kimchi had an oily gloss that complimented the pork belly really well. Would come here again. They also serve hot tea on the side and have free parking next to the restaurant.

Yelp
BEST KOREAN BBQ that uses REAL WOOD CHARCOAL in Flushing! Ive had my fair share of galbi and k-bbq around Flushing and this is place is hands down the cleanest and best tasting. Great side dishes and meat cooked to perfection. Awesome table side service do yaself a favor and stop by! cheers!

Sojin P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, delicious food ( We had cold noodles and galbi ), lovely outdoor deck!

Yelp
Nice little bbq joint near my parent's apartment in Murray Hill (Flushing, NY). I was visiting my parents & grandma with my wife & they said they were craving this place. Originally, we were going to eat in person at the restaurant since it's a BBQ restaurant & they tend to skimp out on the portions if you order to-go. But, my grandma didn't want to come out to eat, so I decided to order for pick up. We ordered 5 servings of the (marinated pork ribs).. which comes with a bunch of sides & vegetable/pickled radish wraps (which was nice). My grandma loves veggies so she appreciated the abundance of vegetables they gave. We each got a small little package of white rice with our order as well. Perfect amount for us 5... we were sooo stuffed after the meal. My overall thoughts is.... Yeah it's good. It tastes pretty good, but is it worth the cost? Eh... I don't know. I feel like I could definitely make it better for cheaper at home. If you're okay with spending a bit of money, then this is a nice little bbq restaurant for you. If not, I'd suggest buying it for cheaper & making it yourself at home. Our experience was good, nonetheless. Solid 4/5.

Anna C.

Yelp
My favorite kbbq place so far! Close to home, large portions, fair pricing! My go to's are the ribeye and the Cold Noodles very very good!

Philip L.

Yelp
The food and service were outstanding. I come to this place every time I am in town to have marinated pork ribs.

ANGELA H.

Yelp
I come here when visit my family in queens (nearly on a monthly basis). The service is excellent! Surprisingly some of the Latin staff speak Korean and will respond to you in Korean! To my experience being a native NY'er, it shows not only commitment but also a happy staff willing to learn and speak! So awesome! The food is consistent and good. It's normal kbq. The staff is, as I said before, awesome and attentive. They refill your banchan/ side dishes quickly and no extra charges. If you just want good Korean BBQ food with great service, then this is the place to be. Groups are normal. Just don't expect a trendy ambiance.

Hee Yeon K.

Yelp
If you're Korean in Flushing and sometime you get that little crave for mak-chang (rectum) gop-chang (intestine), there's really no choice around here. My friends and I had a crave and decided to give this place a try, I gotta say.. unless they kick it up some notches.. we probably won't be coming back.. 1. 3 "Dweji-kalbi" The marinated pork rib: yes, I enjoyed gnawing on the pork ribs.. I usually don't eat marinated meat because I prefer natural flavors seldom topped with housemade sauces, but my friends recommended it. It was ok. 2. 1 "Gop-chang" The small intestine: Don't freak out. It usually comes out pre-cooked. They're not giving you left over at some other tables. But it's usually under cooked, so cook some more. When we tried it, the skin was very tough, we rrreeeaalllyy overworked our jaws today. 3. 1 "Dae-chang" The large intestine: Looks more appetizing, but skin was even tougher. At this point we were just disappointed. What.. how we're supposed to eat this! We had to ask for sizzors to cut it thinner. It didn't help much. 4. 1 "Mak-chang" The rectum: I believe the menu had another word for it, but most accurate term is rectum. It's supposed to be the lost chewy of all intestines. It was pretty good! But no other restaurants can really bring out Seoul style. Why is that? So sad. 5. "Dwen-jang Jji-gye" Soybean paste soup: Aiyaa.. I get that salt is free, but.. shouldn't it be optional. It's free, but it's salty. 6. "Gye-ran Jjim" Steamed egg: can't go wrong. It's good. Also free. 7. "Kimchee Juhn" Korean Kimchee pancake: can be more crunchy, but here it's served a bit soggy. It's midiocre. With everything single order except the marinated pork ribs (3 orders), with 18% tip, the dinner came out to $226 for 5 people. Kind of crazy. But yeah, one of the good thing is that they have their own parking space you can turn into, which is pretty rare in Flushing Murray Hill. It's usually circling around for several minutes for street parking. Star for that! But come on, accept the new trends and kick up some notches! Let's change for the good!

Ms C.

Yelp
the main menu 돼지갈비 ( marinated pork ) is the best!!! must try!!! and i love their side dishes!

Vincy O.

Yelp
Terrible experience! The seafood hot pot tasted very blend and not fresh at all. The whole experience felt rushed. I left paying $50 per person & still somewhat hungry.

Will Y.

Yelp
Definitely like previous recent reviews, this place has hit its peak 4 years ago and need to be reinvented. The pork is the only reason you should come to this restaurant and that's simply not the case. The pork is dry as hell. They do not care how its grilled anymore. They just try to grill the pork as fast as they can, so you can eat and get out asap. I should have known this place sh*t the bed, when the place was empty at 6pm. Terrible!

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great food! Great service ! The meat was cooked really well, and they kept walking by to ensure we had everything we need. It was no wait and we sat instantly.

GeonJu K.

Yelp
First time i was there with my co workers it was so good meat is soft and very delicious . So I went again with my family. But it was not good. Meat is not soft, kind of rough? tough? So It was so difficult to eat with my children. Maybe they do favor my children brought already cooked bbq meat almost well done .

Grace K.

Yelp
I ordered budaejjigae which was delicious. Their side dishes are fresh and tasty. Friendly staff. They also make freshly made dduk to buy for $4

Yolanda P.

Yelp
Exelent very good food and very good service

Yelp
I don't why this place got so little reviews. My boyfriend and I decided to go here to celebrate our 1 year. We came here on a Sunday night, a little before 6pm which wasn't crowded but still a lot of people. I see mostly families here. We ordered combo C which consisted of prime beef and ribeye, a small order of mandoo and a beer. Everything came up to be $93 for 2 people we also paid 30% tips, my boyfriend wanted to tip them well because the ajumma did an awesome job grilling the beef. She kept asking how we like it and told waiters to refill our banchans and lettuce. The beef were so fresh and had wonderful marbling on it. I love how they use charcoal instead of a gas grill. They even had to change out the charcoal 2 times. The beef was literally on fire. I love their steam eggs and the macaroni salad. The only thing is that their ventilation wasn't so good. I could feel the hot grill. I felt like I was in a sauna. Will come here again.

Viona C.

Yelp
Came here around 10:30 on a Sunday night with a couple of friends since most establishments in the area were closing. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bit of hesitation. Not sure if they were debating whether they should serve us or who was gonna serve us, but my friends and I were close to finding somewhere else to eat. Restaurant isn't really the cleanest and most items seemed pretty old and dingy. Tbh, when we walked in, we couldn't even tell if they were actually open or not. I like that they use wood charcoal grills instead of a gass grill though. It gives the meat a better char! We opted for the combo A BBQ set ($99.99) and the smaller budae jigae stew ($12.99). Combo A comes with consists of beef, marinated and non marinated. They actually grilled half of our combo in front of us and the other half in the back, so it was efficient. LOL, i thought the combo overall was just alright. The budae jigae stew was mediocre to me. There was a lot of ramen in it and most of the rice cake got really soggy. The side dishes were subpar as well, but they were very generous with refills. Not sure if I would go out of my way for this restaurant. Maybe when I have late night cravings for KBBQ and lesser options.

Susan C.

Yelp
Hooked on their dwaeji kalbi! That and their naengmyun is all I ever order there and I am beyond happy with it. Typically I prefer beef over pork as pork gets kind of dry when grilled. But whatever they're doing here to marinate and grill makes it taste better than almost all beef bbq I've tried. It's tender, juicy and oh so delicious! This is not the place for you if you like modern places that plays loud Kpop or has young crowds or are just giving KBBQ a try for the first time.

Winnie C.

Yelp
The Spanish friends were super kind, great w/ grilling, and the beef and port dishes were incredibly delicious!! Also Naengmyun was just fantastic!!! I would highly recommend this place!!! The place is also very clean and the service was excellent!!!!!!! I would give this place an A+

Eun sang L.

Yelp
one of the best korean bbq places in new york as far as i know. Ive been here so many times and Ive really enjoyed every time I've visited. price is reasonable and side dishes are great as well and the best part is you dont need to wait to get a table unless you have a large group of party. I guarantee you to like this place compare between any kinda korean bbq restaurants ktown in manhattan. P.s plz try to order Marinated pork steak!!!!!

Edward O.

Yelp
There are a few subtle differences from this Korean BBQ establishment that makes this place stand out. One is the use of wood charcoal fire instead of a gas grill. The wooden char adds a great flavor that you will not get with a conventional gas grill found in most other Korean BBQ places. It makes the meat just taste a step above the rest. The second is the fact that there is a parking lot to your convinience at the heart of an extremely busy area. Convinience of this location added with the great BBQ experience makes this my go-to place. Don't forget the ayce lettuce that you have to pick up yourself.

Jay K.

Yelp
I see so much potential to this spot but the service and quality of the food is inconsistent. I have never been super disappointed with the service or quality of the food here though. It was just hard to get the server for a while several times and the dishes we tasted the first time was way better than the other time we went. The dishes that I really liked here and recommend are the dwegi galbi and cold noodles :)

Gloria K.

Yelp
There's a reason this place has been around for a long time but only has a handful of reviews. I used to come here occasionally with my family because we grew up in the area and we liked it for it's moderate prices and no frills reliability but the restaurant has decreased noticeably in it's overall quality and service. Today our table and our requests were repeatedly ignored. The ventilation pipe for our table wasn't working so our meat was grilled at another table next to ours only to be forgotten and burnt. There were such long pauses in between getting our food (side dishes also took ages to come also) that our entire meal took two hours and we left only somewhat full and completely unsatisfied. At one moment, a waitress even waved a bowl of rice in my aunt's face while yelling across the room at another table. We politely informed our waiter and the owner about our overall disappointment only to receive a brief sorry and nothing more. All in all, I would recommend you go elsewhere. It's easy to walk across the street to much better options.

Michelle J.

Yelp
I like the pork bbq here and soups taste good! Easy parking and people were kids friendly! They have generous portion of banchan dishes!

Christine K.

Yelp
Decent Korean barbecue place, can't complain! It's not the most upscale of places, or trying to cater to a younger crowd or anything--it's just your old fashioned KBBQ. On the night that my family went, they had problems with ventilation so there was a lot of smoke, and there was a new server/trainee who wasn't very good at their job (yet?), but other than that, I had a fine time. Food itself was great, as expected. I wasn't too much a fan of the cabbage-onion sauce/side dish they had (as opposed to the onion-soy sauce or scallion side dish you usually see in KBBQ places) but it didn't bring down my experience by that much. I wished a little bit more here and there, but overall a good place and would come back.

Sam E.

Yelp
Food - 2.5 stars Service - 2 stars Value - 2 stars Ambience - 2.5 stars When you're paying $21.99 for "Stir-fried squid with vegetables" the dish in my opinion shouldn't be mostly noodles. The staff was literally running which shows that they were trying but when one of the waiters barked "Quick" in frustration at our table for not handing him our water glasses fast enough then I realized I probably wouldn't be returning. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Jake L.

Yelp
This place is beyond its expiration date. Food has gone downhill but real steep downhill. Dishes and plates and utensils are nasty and used beyond their own expiration dates. Banchan or side dishes are very boring and bland. Meat quality is the worst enemy when in fact that would be the only reason you are coming to this restaurant in the first place. What used to be very tasty and juicy wonderful marinated pork is now tough rubbery and dry and not tasty at all. It's definitely not the same seasoning and marinated process used. I used to come here every other week since 2015 till pandemic hit then I revisited just a month ago and it just is not the same place I used to love. Farewell

Ashley B.

Yelp
came to this place while visiting and had really yummy pork ribs! they cook it for you really fast and really friendly service. would recommend!

Carmen G.

Yelp
You must be wondering where this restaurant... because about half the party attendees asked the same thing. My GPS indicated that I reached my destination but all I saw was a party city storefront and a private lot. If it wasn't for the korean bbq banner hung by the lot and the asian guy confirming the 2nd floor of the building was the right place, I would have been circling around and around. The restaurant was pretty small, our birthday celebration party occupied the entire place. Great privacy, it even had a private room. It was buffet style where all the food was lined up from sashimi to jap chae. Too bad no bbq food except for the spicy pork which didn't last long out. I was hoping to sample more of their signature bbq but a last, not this time. The food was alright but I felt I didn't grasp the whole experience. Maybe due to making mass quantity, it lost some of its luster. After reading the three 5 star reviews (the ones with 0 friends and 1 review), it made me skeptical of their rating. Service was great, but I would need to come back to try their popular dishes to give a better representation. Till next time.

Caroline T.

Yelp
After a whole morning of running errands, my friend took me to this spot. She says they're konwn for their daeji galbi -bbq pork ribs. we had 2 orders of the daeji galbi which is for 2 people. $19 per serving and it came with the steamed egg (gyeran Jjim) and also a stew, not sure if it was kimchi jjigae or doenjang jjigae. There was a good amount of banchan. Something interesting i noticed was that their ssam jang came in a pipping hot stone pot. the taste was rather different but in a good way. usually they serve it room temperature or cold just in a regular dish. but there must be something special about that pipping hot stone pot. as good as the sauce was, the ribs were well marinated so really didn't need more sauce on it. but when wrapped up with the lettuce some ssam jang did add to the flavor. *wipes drool This is a casual place, we were starving and we've been at various korean bbq but of all the places my friend was psyched to bring me here- and it didn't disappoint. I do enjoy the fact that they used charcoal fire instead of the usual grill and they had a parking lot there so we didn't have to worry about finding parking in the area since resident parking can be hard to find on a Sunday afternoon. The ahjumma was adorable; she noticed how hangry we were so as she was cooking the daeji galbi for us she kept insisting we feed ourselves the the gyeran jjim as we waited for it to finish cooking. but basically instead of LA galbi - beef short ribs it was daeji glabi- pork ribs. flavor is very similar but i do find the pork ribs quite juicy here. flavor is on point- nothing to complain about. the 2 orders of daeji galbi was just right- didn't leave us hungry and didn't make us feel like we stuffed ourselves to the core. Another thing i liked was how their vents were mobile- some of the places i go to, i come out smelling by bbq meat haha... since their vents are only above us, but the ahjumma made it her priority that every time some smoke came up she'd attentively bring that vent super close to the cooking area so the smoke doesn't end up in our faces. it's something small, and i know other places has this service and function too- but what can i say ahjumma reminded me of my mamabear; and she was laughing at how hungry we were and made sure we were well fed before leaving us hahaha. I definitely want to come back here again and check out the rest of their menu. It was an afternoon well spent especially being our first meal of the day haha.

Joseph K.

Yelp
Stop sleeping on Mail Garden. People hype up Mapo Galbi which is on the opposite corner from MG but this is by far my favorite KBBQ spot in NY. I've been to Mapo, Jong-ro, Kang Ho Dong Baekjong, Sansoogapsan, Biwon, Galbi Maeul, etc etc. They're all reasonably good, but Mail Garden is by far my favorite. Any Picnic Garden fans, just stop reading here. May God have mercy on your soul. 1. They have a parking lot. Let me reiterate-THEY HAVE A PARKING LOT and it is quite large as well. If you've never been to this area then you have no idea. This restaurant is located in the heart of Mukja golmok, which is a dense cluster of Korean restaurants near the Murray Hill LIRR station. Parking during dinner rush is a nightmare. Parking during the lunch rush is a nightmare. Parking between those times is somewhere between headache and nightmare levels. And no I'm not going to trust the valets at other restaurants that will gun the engine down the narrow Flushing streets and then street park it somewhere. 2. I'm not giving 5 stars for the parking, obviously. The meat here is amazing and the quantity doesn't disappoint, either. I usually get the $100 sirloin combo which comes with an assortment of meats. That will comfortably feed 3 people although that might be 2-4 depending on your party members. You'll get a complimentary jjigae which is quite good. The banchan side dishes aren't out of this world but just solid. The highlight is the warm soybean paste used for dipping peppers/cucumbers/carrots along with your meat. Most places will serve it cold. I'm not big on naengmyun but both my daughter and mother-in-law are very picky and this is one of the few places they will get naengmyun from (the other being the dedicated naengmyun spot down the block). 3. Real wood charcoal. Most other spots use gas, and there's a huge difference. If you come here you better be planning to go home afterwards because you WILL stink. But then again that goes for all Korean restaurants anyway. So don't half-ass it, cook your meat over a real fire with real wood.

Dana L.

Yelp
This is a restaurant that's not one of the ones you'd usually go to if you were in the Murray Hill area. We decided to try it to experience something new! We ordered the Combo B, which came with 3 types of meat. We were a party of 3 people and it was definitely enough food for everyone! The meat was delicious and fresh. -1 for service. The women who helped to barbeque our meat ended up burning a few pieces. It wasn't even a busy time but they didn't stay on top of what they were doing. When the meats were burned, there wasn't even an apology offered. -1/2 star for banchan. Nothing special which included the regular type of kimchi and a few veggie banchans. No seafood or meat. -1/2 star for price. 80 bucks for the barbecue alone. Quite steep IMO compared to the other restaurants in the area. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place with plenty of other options just a few steps away!

Sung L.

Yelp
Food is perfect. Galbi tastes awesome. Reason for giving 3star is the customer service. Most of the waitress that works there are very rude. I understand that they are busy but isnt it basic to respond to what im asking for? I asked for bowl of rice, and she didnt evern looked at me. But she brought the rice a moment later. I wouldnt want to go back for what i paid for. I will rather go to other korean bbq place.

Cherry C.

Yelp
Great place for barbecue! My husband's Korean friend recommended this place so we went on a weekday. The place was pretty packed! The food was really good. I love the marinated beef! The service was also good. You almost can ask for anything you want lol. Will go there again

Thomas K.

Yelp
There are many Korean BBQ restaurants all over Flushing, NY. I have never come here with friends, only with family. I like the fact that this restaurant has a parking lot since finding parking around Mukja golmok, the area's nickname meaning 'Alley of Eats' is very hard to find. My parents love the dweji galbi (Spicy braised pork rib) here. Many do. The price for the BBQ compared to many of the surrounding restaurant's BBQ price is relatively cheaper; not cheap... but cheapER. Not a fan of dweji galbi myself, I get their deung shim or rib eye steak done medium rare. It's good, but I'd rather spend the money elsewhere. However, not many places use real wood charcoal to cook barbecue in front of you. Not only does it taste better, but it's an experience in and of itself. The complimentary dishes are plentiful and they have a separate refrigerator where customers can go to pick up vegetables for 'ssam'. There are many Korean BBQ restaurants all over Flushing and I have yet to leave one saying, 'WOW'. All of restaurants are pricey and are just OK... I have come to this establishment during the weekdays when it is not busy and the servers do take care of you a little better while during the weekends, especially dinner time when the restaurant is at maximum capacity and busiest, servers are trying their best, but due to the lack of staff, cannot pay full attention to each and every table. Many negative reviews may be due to the fact that there just aren't enough servers for the amount of tables that this establishment has. During peak hours, there were many times when my parents and I would be doing most or all of the work cooking the barbecue due to the lack of staff. Sure we are disappointed, but knowing that this is the norm and having been here numerous times, we do not expect 4/5 star dining service. I do recommend coming here for the cheaper price and parking, as well as trying their marinated spicy braised pork ribs. Other than that, I will continue to search for that 'WOW' restaurant.

Bobby K.

Yelp
One of the best pork BBQ in flushing, ny with couple of complaints. The side dishes are not upto par with similar Korean restaurants in the area and the place is not clean. If you could over look past that... their pork bbq tastes great.

Il K.

Yelp
Phenomenal. I rate this restaurant higher than any restaurants in new york. Definitely worth the price and the owner his cute.

Emma M.

Yelp
YES. YES. YES. I love this place. There's parking by the side of the place, and when you settle in, there's menus with combos and small appetizing dishes that you can order on the side. I chose the all beef combo for $99.99 and it was ABSOLUTELY so fulfilling. I then ordered the raw beef with pear and raw egg, which was FRESHER than any order Korean BBQ I've been to so far! I was given so many small dishes as I would assume as a tradition in KBBQ by now. Though refill on tea and water was a bit slow, I really loved that the servers were super attentive to our tables and the tables around us in cooking our meat. Their clever way of having the meat kept warm also made me 'wow.' The meat was enjoyable, and easy to bite and chew on. I highly recommend this KBBQ place! Will be back again soon for food next time I visit Queens for sure!

Dan K.

Yelp
It was my first time and the food was definitely better than k-town bbq places. If you want some quality korean bbq, I recommend this place.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Very displeasing service. Save your money and go to a better restaurant. No one would even cook the meat for me and I had to do it myself. They just cared to put the meat on the table. Worst part is that the meat got all burnt because a person couldn't even cook properly and we couldn't eat. Will not ever go back here again, and will also tell my friends not to go.

Yelp
Bad quality food that's not even worth the money you pay. Dishonest rip off owners. Only place I wish could give negative stars. I came here with 7 people last Saturday. We ordered 3 servings of marinated beef and 2 servings of marinated pork to start. When it came out 1 serving of beef seemed too small for its price(around $37)- came with 2 short strips. So I asked the server and she confirmed 1 serving for beef is 2 strips of meat. I said ok and we just ordered more bbq beef (eneded up with total of 8 servings for 7 ppl: 6 beef and 2 pork ). Marinated pork was so dry we didnt order more. It was pretty busy at the time so we had low expectation for service. But the bbq was cooked somewhere else and brought over to us instead of using the charcoal infront of us. We tried hard to enjoy despite of everything. But not when we got the check. The first 3 servings of marinated beef was double charged as 6 servings- charging us for 11 servings. I was treating the group so brought the check over to the front. I said we only ordered 3 servings and not 6 servings to begin with. Then this owner said that he saw us eating 2 strips of beef in the beginning and that 1strip is 1 serving. If serving size was given incorrectly it's on you not the people who ate it thinking it's still small portion for what we pay! I even brought our server to the front and said remember when u told us two short strips is 1 serving when I asked? Now the owners charging us times 2. She seemed like she didn't want to deal with it and just said she was confused and escaped the scene in rush. By then, the group of people had started walking towards the front wondering what's happening. The owner then proceeded to tell us we finished what was given and we must pay. Made me absoultely SPEECHLESS infront of my group. I didn't want to ruin our gathering that night, I ended up paying whatever he charged me. My bill was supposed to be around $300, became $450. Thinking back, I wish I called the police or someone for help. I don't know how they run their business but one thing for sure is not honestly with customers. Even if the food was great (not the case), I would not return to this place. Restaurant vibe? Looks like in the 80s with sticky table and chairs. Consider my incidence and check your bills if you would still eat here.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Quality of Galbi (Korean BBQ) is incomparable to any other Korean restaurants in the city. Definitely worth a visit.
