NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"At Maison Nur, from veteran nightlife operator who is also behind No. 79, organic house music meets Petrossian caviar and mohair banquets. Under a gilded ceiling, the Lower East Side restaurant is serving French-American food along the lines of dover sole, steak au poivre, and stuffed morels with vin jaune. Yes, that’s a Damien Hirst on the wall." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

This place is amazing. It’s like the best of NYC from all the best eras of downtown New York combined into one. I went with my girlfriend for dinner and drinks. First thing we noticed the staff was super friendly and made us feel at home. I love art and the entire main dining room is built around a massive Damien Hirst. Not expecting this in a restaurant but very happily surprised. Also, tables were spaced far enough apart to have privacy and elbow room. We had the duck and lamb that were two of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Flavor combos that were unexpected but not so crazy that it was unfamiliar. Honestly, nothing I can say to make this place better. The bar filled up with what looked like all the cool kids while we ate and by the time we finished eating some new friend invited us downstairs and…what happens in the jungle room stays I. The jungle room I’ll say no more other than it has leopard print stairs.

Beautiful space with excellent French inspired bites. The club event space downstairs has the best sound system I’ve heard. This place is truly a gem

I can genuinely tell you everyone thought the food was delicious. The tuna people couldn’t get enough of, the special pasta,, steak and fish all was delicious. Also the decor everyone kept remarking how gorgeous a room and detailed it was! Service was impeccable

FIRST OF ALL! The food is amazing. A stand out in New York City it is made with great care, executed to perfection, perfectly seasoned, and I’ve tried a large portion of the menu and I was blown away; everything exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is outstanding. It’s just as good as the food. It’s sexy, unique, cool, and it just sucks you in. This is New York City’s most desired hot spot that’s here to stay. The owner Nur is absolutely incredible.

My husband and I happened to find Maison Nur while googling a last minute date night restaurant option and I’m glad we found it! From the moment you walk in service was impeccable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The staff overall were attentive and friendly. The ambiance is sophisticated and unique. The food was delicious!! I’m very particular with drinks and their Tears of A Clown is one of my new favorites. We hope to visit again, maybe next time with some friends.

Amazing food - just the right amount of seasoning per dish. The steak was cooked perfectly and I had the chef redo the trout it came out the perfect medium - medium rare. My favorite was the herb dessert. The service was impeccable as well. Well done for opening week

Wow… just wow. ✨ Maison Nur is honestly one of the most beautiful spots I’ve been to in New York. The vibe, the lights, the energy — just perfect. food was delicious, and the service made us feel super special. Perfect for a night out when you want to feel a little extra. Can’t wait to go back! 💫

Yelp
Soooo the ambiance is nice, small intimate place. The drinks came out very slow! Order 2 at a time! Buttt they were good. The food, also very slow. Apps were good though. Entree's ugh. Disappointing. The lamb was very gamey. The Dover sole was bland. The steak was decent. I wouldn't come back again. Update! After I left this review from the table, we saw a mouse! Anddd then went to the bathroom before leaving. The lights went out smh. This place needs to get it together immediately.

Yelp
Yes we had a late seating, but to arrive at a restaurant and be told that they are out of most of the menu leaving our party of 3 to have to all order steak au poivre! Also out of bread and butter that they already have to charge for - how is a French restaurant out of bread and butter? A gem lettuce appetizer had more herb garnish ( not mentioned) than gem lettuce and one slice of avocado - did they also run out of gem lettuce. Perhaps they should rethink the name - perhaps Maison Non instead of Maison Nur! Do not go here and waste your money. By booking through Resy they have a $50 cancellation fees in less than 24 hours - we would have liked the option to have left when we sat down and were informed that the vertices menu was non-existent.

Yelp
More of a cocktail lounge than a restaurant. The service was quite slow, and the food wasn't any better. You can tell a lot of it is premade, bland, and isn't cooked by a proper chef. There is no love in the food, no research, nothing to appreciate. Would not recommend this place for dinner.

Yelp
A simple restaurant for simple people .the bartender is moving slower than my grandma and she's been death for ten years . Food was meh , service bad , decor is tacky .
