"There are so many great things to eat at this Portuguese bakery. And many of them are waiting in display cases, ready to eat. You’ll find overstuffed ham cachitos along with fried codfish balls, meat rissoles, and buttery egg custard tarts. They even stock some imported Portuguese soft drinks and mineral water, and they have dispensers full of freshly made juices, like the madeira made with pineapple and mint." - carlos c olaechea, ryan pfeffer
"Majestic specializes in Portuguese baked goods. But this casual spot is also a Portuguese-by-way-of-Venezuela bakery, so you can also find great Venezuelan things, like some of Miami’s best cachitos. But there is one thing you absolutely get at this Coral Way bakery: the pastel de nata. Majestic Portuguese Bakehouse does an excellent job with the famous pastry. It’s creamy and flaky, with little charred spots along the top. You’ll probably want to get at least two—unless you also want to get one of the big sandwiches they make here. If that's the case, save room. " - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"Like the name suggests, Majestic specializes in Portuguese baked goods. But this casual spot is also a Portuguese-by-way-of-Venezuela bakery, so you can also find great Venezuelan things, like some of Miami’s best cachitos. But don’t just come here for pastries. You should absolutely order one of the traditional Portuguese sandwiches, especially the francesinha—a behemoth with several types of meat between two slices of homemade white bread surrounded by crunchy fries, drenched in a beer-infused tomato sauce, and topped with a fried egg. But if you only have enough room for a small bite, then a custardy pastel de nata is the one thing you should be walking out of here with." - carlos c olaechea, ryan pfeffer
"Top contenders include Portuguese Majestic Bakehouse." - Alona Martinez
"Pastel De Nata I’m currently researching a new bakery guide, and a few weeks ago I asked for suggestions on our Instagram. More than one commenter shouted out Majestic Portuguese Bakehouse on Coral Way, and I’m so glad they did, because it led me to this very delicious pastel de nata. I’m ashamed to say this was my first time trying one of these famous Portuguese pastries. But I am excited to say it will not be my last, because I plan on coming back here on a monthly basis and ordering a dozen." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
