Found this place through DoorDash, got the gypsy combo, and gotta say it's pretty good, rice was fluffy and flavorful especially with the drippings from the meat and all three protein were delicious. Dressing on salad was a bit on the sweet side but pretty tasty too

Very disappointed. Ordered the family option and the chicken was not cooked and the salad must was brown and old. This place used to be a great spot.

Both were mouthwatering delish and juicy. The salad was good too, all the ingredients were fresh. Decent size portions and very affordable. Kudos to the grill master, team members and the owner. Defiantly recommending and will be back whenever in the Valleys area.

My experience was so good. I order from this place at least 2 times in a month. Their food is delicious and properly served per person. My son loves their kabob so juicy and tender.

Our go to Mediterranean place in the valley. Service is great. We love their food (kabobs and their salad dressing ) Parking is tight we usually order for pick up.

Daily lunch buffet from 11 am to 3:30 pm, all you can eat. It's a bargain! Delicious and healthy traditional persian cuisine. Nice setting with plenty of space and clean setting. Family kitchen ambience, makes you feel at home.

This is my goto spot for takeout Persian food in the valley and never disappoints. I'm a big fan of the family dinner, which easily feeds 4 (I leave the hummus and salad behind and go with some yogurt and salad shirazi instead). Since it's mostly takeout, I don't have anything to say about the ambiance or service.

Absolutely love this place! I'm speaking from my experience ordering takeout, and every time, the food is amazing--so tasty and authentic. It's one of the few spots where you can find zereshk rice, and they even serve sumac on the side when ordering to-go! The portions are huge, which is great, and the prices are just right. The staff are super friendly and quick with the orders. You have to try the boneless chicken--it's perfectly seasoned and marinated. The little side salad and its dressing are the perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommend checking it out!

It was so good exactly what I needed before going to work and I'm going to eat it probably after as well. Hot and ready the chicken is very juicy and tender I love it. My favorite tomatoes.

Love the steak salad and Cornish game hen kabobs. Takeout is fast so it's a great place to call when you need good food quickly. Will definitely come back!

This is the only place to order if you're wanting to feed a family. Obviously you can't do it every day but we would if we could. It never fails to be absolutely delicious and fresh. Everything is awesome, consistently. And the owner is super nice. Highly recommend.

First time and certainly not the last time - I ordered everything to go, and everything came hot and fresh. I ordered the soltani chicken with white rice, humus, side salad, and baklava. The meat was tender and juicy, flavorful and both pieces were very different. The salad was really crispy, which I particularly appreciated. Lastly, the baklava was one of the best I have ever had, no question. It was so sweet so a small piece was perfect, and wow. If for nothing else I would go back for the baklava. Which I will. And for more than just the baklava. Absolutely a place to try, cost made sense, everything was delicious.

The best way to give you an idea of how much I love this place.. it used to be my neighborhood go to place!! I moved. Today I traveled 72 miles to get food from Malek's. It's that good. I ordered their Family Special, with substituting the beef koobideh for chicken. I also ordered 3 additional chicken koobideh skewers and an order of the shish kebab, which is my all time favorite. Their flavors are so good! Sumac on top of their grilled tomatoes and jalapeños mixed in with their rice, topped with delicious hummus!! Yum! Try them! You won't be disappointed!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Malek's surely delivered! I had them cater my sister's 40th Birthday dinner last Saturday and the amount of compliments we received that food was hot, fresh, and most importantly FLAVORFUL. Good food, good service and easy parking. We have used them for our catering a few times and we stop by every time we're in the area. We've never been disappointed.

Got the family meal tonight - the food didn't taste anything like Persian. The chicken kabob and beef koobideh were so spicy that I could barely eat them. Both meats had red color in them... I assume paprika that could of been hot instead of regular. I have eaten at a lot of Persian restaurants and I have never had spicy hot food. The hummus was watery and had no taste, the pita bread was stale. The Ghormeh Sabzi barely had beans and the rich herb-lemon flavor was not there.The food used to be good pre covid, it's disappointing now. Will not return.

Great food and great service. I ordered the family special for a birthday and the meat was fresh, the rice and grilled vegetables were also delicious. Definitely a hidden valley spot. Will be going back or ordering take out in the future.

The chicken avocado salad is a 5. The dressing is yummy and the chicken is delicious. My order which was the beef combo rice was a 3 for my taste.

Malek's has been our go-to Mediterranean restaurant for several years now. We often order catering for family events, Malek never disappoints! Food is always fresh and tasty always gets compliments at our family gatherings. The only drawback is that everyone wants to take home leftovers! Food is very well packaged for catering orders using both aluminum foil and seran wrap. I recommend Malek's for Mediterranean cuisine.

Food is par not sure how people say they have "quality" hummus when they use cans. Beef kebabs where Plaine no taste just very bland. Chicken was straight up burned. I'm sorry this is my first and last time.

I've went in this restaurant 3 times each time the person behind the counter was so rude I left and I gave them 3 chances if you want great Mediterranean food go to 6830 fournesto it's less than a mile away and the people will agree with a smile and the foods really good too I've had it a few times now it's authentic Middle Eastern food or Mediterranean food or Persian food whatever you want to call it it's great But I won't ever waste my time here again I just want someone enjoy a place they go just like I do and that's why I will never come here again because the people are very rude

Everything I have tasted here has been delicious, from the salad dressing (I always order extra) to the grilled meats and vegetables. It's all so fresh and cooked to perfection. I don't know what it is, but the flavor is just different from other Mediterranean places I've tried. Malek's has been my go-to Mediterranean restaurant for the last 2 years. The customer service is excellent and the owners are very honest and accommodating. The food is always hot and ready on time. What do I order? The family special with 5 extra skewers of shish kabob on the side is ALWAYS a big hit when having events at my business in Granada Hills, Le Rêve Salon and Spa. All the employees and customers love the food and are left feeling full and satisfied. I always get so many people asking us where we got the food from because they love it so much. I should probably start getting business cards from them and leaving them on the table with the food. I've also ordered the family special just for myself a few times, when I know I'm gonna have a busy week and won't have time to cook. It lasts me almost a whole week and still tastes amazing as left overs. I highly recommend trying Malek's for your next event!

The guy took our order than told us it's take out . They should put a sign take out only which is not customer friendly. They need to brush up on there CSR skills .

We ordered two family specials to feed our house warming party. Everyone loved the food. The boneless chicken was our favorite. Ordering was simple and picking up was painless. No worries on day of our event. High recommend the family meal if you are planning an event

Very disappointed and concerned about their food safety practices. I received a moldy and old salad. The food here is not cheap for them to send moldy salads. I called to complain why they send me an old and moldy salad, their response was that they were busy. They didn't apologize and they hanged up. Be careful when you order from this place the food is not safe to eat.

About two weeks ago, I was in the Canoga Park/Woodland Hills area and craving middle eastern food! I came across Malek's on yelp. Based on their ratings and pictures, I thought I'd give them a try! I placed my order over the phone. I ordered two chicken plates, and two beefs plates! The restaurant is located in a plaza, you wouldn't miss it. So I got there to pick up my food and the owner helped me check out. I told him it was our first time dining with them so he gave me a few of their appetizers and sauces to try! How sweet! They were super friendly, I appreciated that! So we got back to my friends and devoured the food. Their rice was cooked to perfection and their meat was TENDER! Their chicken melts in your mouth! So good! I fell in love with their white sauce. I used it for the garden salad, it was delicious! I kinda wish they sold it by the jar. I'd love to have it at home. I will definitely order food from them again! 5 stars for customer service, quality of food, cleanliness, etc.

I definitely think this place is a good find. Priced right,and meat is so tender. I can't believe how heavy my box was,they are not skimpy on meat,my plate includes rice,salad,half a pita,hummus,half of a grilled tomato and half grilled jalapeño. It's well worth it. I ordered their family special during the quarantine for 49.99 I believe. Everything was really good but two things really stood out. 1. I don't enjoy salads but I eat them because I gotta get my greens. So what stood out? Their salad dressing was really good. So good that I didn't mind eating their salad. 2. The chicken that came with the special was really juicy and tender. This was the highlight of the meal. I would definitely recommend this place. I would love to have dined here for their ayce buffets but don't know if it's possible to have buffets anymore with Covid 19 going around. Try them out.

We were craving Persian food and decided to check out Malek's. There was a Kabob place near the Northridge mall that we used to go to, but closed long ago. There are many around to choose from and have tried others, but as I said, this is the first time here. I must say I am glad we decided to check them out, it was very good and I believe the owner was the one who helped us and he was so nice. I like supporting small businesses like this as they are normally very personable and friendly. We decided to go with the Family Special for $59.99, it comes with everything you want. 2 Beef Koobideh 2 Chicken Koobideh 3 Boneless Chicken Kabobs Saffron Rice Garden Salad Grilled Tomatoes and Jalapeño's Hummus and Pita bread It is a lot of food and enough for probably 5 heavy eaters or 7-8 light eaters. I can't pick a favorite from the meats, they were all equally tasty and and have their own unique tastes and flavors. Normally always get Koobideh, but was surprised at how tender the boneless chicken was and moist, bottom line all were excellent. Rice and veggies were also excellent, if I would say anything is that the hummus needed a bit more garlic and a little salt, but that would be it. Still very good. As of this review 6/17/21, if you check in on Yelp, you can get $5.00 off the Family Special, what a great deal. Enjoy!

This place is fantastic their food is great and I love how authentic and delicious it is. Portions are great and they have a wide range of persian food from beef kabobs to chicken kabobs and persian dough, which is a carbonated drink. Anyone who uses catering should use them as they are fair and reasonable in the price compare to the great quality food they have. This place is great and I would eat here again. If you are in the neighborhood make sure you check them out and or order for takeout cause it's a must try. Update: we just finished eating and every one of my staff was satisfied including the ones who are not the biggest fan of middle eastern food. It was juicy, flavorful and just so tasty.

I have been a customer for many years now I recommend Maleks to my friends and family. Pre covid their all you can eat lunch buffet are one of the best hands down. Right now it's pickup. Lately I have been ordering out a lot and I've seen the quality in and around town. Nothing to write home about. Now taking into consideration prices and portions as well as quality. This spot blows the other places out of the water!!

Food was mid. I ordered online, when we got there the guy acted like he didn't want our business. It was weird. Food wasn't good enough to go back.

We just ordered dinner from there. One of the dinner plates had not 1 curly short hair, but multiple. Dinner ended up in the trash. DISGUSTING!!!

Solid down home Persian spot. Tucked away in the corner of a small shopping plaza, a kabob haven. Thrilled that they had salmon kabob & different types of salad, including Shirazi salad (my fave of the meal) Several other healthier vegetarian options included, cucumber yogurt aka moust khiar, ghormehsabzi, bademjan aka eggplant dip, hummus, grilled veggies, picked cauliflower aka torshkf, etc The Atlantic salmon was very flavorful & a great portion size, loved the grilled tomato, & Shirazi salad is a must! Sumac on the table was a nice touch too. Don't be a newb, sumac on salad & rice is a game changer. Drinks included: Perrier, Soda, Persian yogurt drink aka Doogh Dessert: My mom got baklava to go & inhaled it. Service: Very friendly staff & order modification friendly too. Ambiance: Cute & clean, like me hehe ;) Defiantly would return just for the Shirazi salad haha it was delectable!

Food is always great!!!! And a lot of food for two people. Family business and side dishes are great. We celebrated my moms birthday here and it went great... all you can eat is awesome too when you want to get out of the normal burger and fries.... They make you feel like family.
