The Best Korean Restaurants In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Mama’s Kitchen in Factoria keeps things simple, but it works for any kind of hangout. You can have a casual meal with bibimbap and sikhye. Or pass plates of fried chicken—which is easily a top contender for best on the Eastside—at the communal table to strangers. Even solo lunches feel special perched at the window counter, slurping japchae while watching the chaos of the parking lot unfold like a live-action drama. With a big menu, spend a leisurely lunch here and be back in time for dinner to cover it all." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, carlo mantuano, gabe guarente

Mama's Kitchen excels at Korean fried chicken - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Mama’s Kitchen is easily the best thing Factoria’s busiest stretch has going for it. The restaurant keeps things simple, but it works for any kind of hangout fueled by fabulous Korean dishes. You can have a casual meal with bibimbap and sikhye. Or pass plates of fried chicken at the communal table to strangers who caught a glimpse of that golden mountain coming out of the kitchen. Even solo lunches feel special perched at the window counter, slurping japchae while watching the chaos of the parking lot unfold like a live-action drama. With a big menu, spend a leisurely lunch here and be back in time for dinner to cover it all. Food Rundown Katsu Mayo Over Rice The creamy mayo is rich and sweet without totally taking over the dish. And while the katsu itself is a little over-fried, it’s still delicious—and that sauce makes up for everything. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Fried Chicken Wings Easily a top contender for best fried chicken on the Eastside. Thick, cornflake-like breading is extra crunchy, and the meat underneath stays juicy. Even with lots of sauce options, the best move is to keep it simple. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Japchae Bouncy sweet potato noodles have a satisfying chew and a generous mix of sautéed vegetables. The sauce is sweet and umami in all the right places, and spiked with just enough white pepper to give it a subtle kick that lingers. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Gyoza No need to prioritize ordering these forgettable dumplings unless you’re really craving one. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley" - Kayla Sager-Riley

A family-run Bellevue favorite for Korean home cooking—grilled bulgogi over rice, galbi-jjim bibimbap, and excellent fried chicken. Featured by 425 Magazine and noted by The Infatuation, it’s a warm, community-minded stop when you crave classic flavors without the tabletop grill.

Came here with my mom and brother and we had a great time! The food was beyond delicious, our eyes were so hungry that we got way more than we could eat, but we took everything home and are excited to eat it later! Might I also say that the portion sizes are gigantic! I ordered the noodles and the bowl was literally bigger than my head and my jaw was on the floor when they brought it out. And it was only $18!!! The staff was very polite and really really helpful, one of the waiters helped us put our leftovers into boxes and was checking in on us constantly! Overall it was a pleasant experience and I’m a little sad that they don’t have Mama’s Kitchen in the south where I live.. Will definitely be back though!!

A good Korean restaurant that does many things. A good place to go with a group of people to get your fill of some soulful food. I wouldn't say anything here is particularly awe inspirings, but they do every dish well. Good for simple Korean fares. The atmosphere isn't elegant or designed in any paticular way but it's very chill. I think the rice cakes are probably their best dish!

Small and clean restaurant. My first time ordering from an online menu using the QR code. We only ordered cheese tteobokki and a combo entree with tofu soup. Food is good, but a slight pricey.

Soondooboo: spicy kimchi soup with beef, shrimp, scallops and oyster (seafood army stew version) and sikhye cold rice drink (so refreshing) and the banchan were good. Fried eggplant in soy sauce was new and delicious. Recommend having more banchan though. Bulgogi over rice was big, leftovers for sure.

I'm visiting Seattle from Southern California, and I really missed Korean food—this place hit the spot! The restaurant has been recently remodeled, so it's clean and modern, and the background music made it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal. We ordered the dolsot bibimbap, spicy Korean fried chicken, hamburger steak, and spicy pork over rice. The bibimbap was loaded with a variety of fresh vegetables, and the hamburger steak was definitely the highlight—highly recommend it! The spicy pork and chicken were a bit too mild for my taste, but overall, the food quality and portions were great for the price. Would definitely come back again!

Tasty / Comfort Food Neat and Clean Ambience Good Staff A friend took me here during my visit and the entire experience was simply beautiful. This is a small and busy place, we went around 3:30 pm for lunch there were still people dining. The food was very good. Tasty, flavorful and aptly spiced. We ordered the seafood pancake and the chicken katsu rice. Both were good. I personally loved the seafood pancake, it was loaded with various items and could taste each of them individually. A very good place will visit again.

We’ve been coming to Mama’s Kitchen Comfort Korean Food since 2022, and every single time we’re blown away by how delicious everything is. Today was no exception - we visited again and realized the flavors are always consistent, and always amazing. Our kids absolutely love the bulgogi over rice - it’s their favorite! And if you’re a fan of tteokbokki, this is hands down the rose seafood tteokbokki you’ll find anywhere in the U.S. We highly recommend this place and will keep coming back again and again. Truly one of the best.

The server almost threw thr cups on the table. I felt it was rude, but I decided to stay after spending long time finding a Korean restaurant I could dine in. I got my first dish 5 minutes after I ordered, but it took another 25 minutes to get the two remaining ones. Nobody came to tell me why it was taking so long. The foods were good except that I did not get any side dish I expect from Korean restaurants. The servers never asked if I would like to get more water, probably because they just gave me a bottle of water which I emptied. Although the foods were good, I won't go back to this place.

Yelp
Visited Mama's Kitchen for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed. We were able to spend some good time there without them pushing us out to leave. I ordered the Galbi-jjim Bibimbap while my friends ordered the Kimchi Cheese Fried Rice and Chicken Katsu Jungsik. All of us agreed it tasted great and theyre so generous with the food. It took me days to finish mine. Overall, we recommend!

Yelp
Solid spot for Korean food in Bellevue! Would recommend coming with more people so you can share. I came here with 2 friends for dinner on a Tuesday night around 6 pm and it was still fairly empty. It was completely full by the time we left with 1-2 groups waiting, so it's definitely a popular spot. We came in the middle of a heat wave, but it didn't feel like the restaurant turned on their AC, so it was super hot and stuffy inside. I was hoping to escape the heat by coming to the restaurant but sadly that wasn't the case. On top of that, they gave us room temperature water at the beginning, and we had to specifically ask for iced water. If it's that hot inside and out, at the very least they could've given everyone iced water by default... Anyways, moving onto the food. We shared the following items: Veggie eggroll ($6.99) - pretty standard Ban ban chicken ($24.99) - didn't realize their fried chicken would be in the form of chicken wings and not drumsticks, which is what I'm used to. The menu doesn't call out that it's chicken wings either, which would've been helpful. I liked it but thought it was pricy for the portion Galbi-jjim bibimbap ($24.99) - my favorite dish of the night. Galbi was flavorful and they include plenty of egg and veggies to mix together with the rice Katsu mayo over rice ($16.99) - I personally found this dish bland but my other friends liked it. I didn't think there was enough flavor in the chicken and egg to eat with all the rice they give you

Yelp
I first saw Mama's Kitchen while visiting another restaurants in the plaza. I always like trying Korean food restaurants and this one was very good! We went towards the end of lunch and were seated quickly (there's no reservations, only a wait list). While the seating area isn't large, they're able to fit quite a few tables in and there is an open kitchen at the back. Everything was very clean and the staff were very efficient in bussing tables. They were also quick in taking our order and the food also came out to us quickly. As for the food, I have my favorites and had to get the soondoboo soup. I'd say this is higher on my list of good ones, nice flavor without it being too spicy and I only wish the bowl was bigger. We also ordered the beef bulgogi over rice, also with excellent flavor and quality meat and the seafood pancake. The pancake had lots of seafood but I wasn't used to the panko-like breading. Altogether very good and would go back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Exactly what it says it is: Korean comfort food. Prices a bit on the higher side, but good portion sizes and we liked the food a lot. When you walk in you immediately get served hot barley tea. Menu on QR codes. Relatively fast service. Small restaurant that I can see getting pretty busy during peak hours. We tried the seafood ramen and the kalbi bibimbop. My only complaint is the "hot sauce" isn't spicy at all!
google avatar

Yelp
Hearty and heavy comfort food here! My friend and I have mistaken this place for Mama Dough in Kent for the longest time solely because of their similar names, yet both serve different kinds of cuisine and are located in different cities. We had that conversation as we were driving to here, which is located in the same plaza where Chi Chi is. Oddly enough, the parking lot is massive yet parking was rough to find especially on a Friday evening around 5:30pm. Well, when you do find parking and get here, you're greeted with quite a plain white interior that has many tables for 2 to 4 people, and tons of K-pop music playing in the background. The overall place was really clean despite it being nearly packed when I walked in. The menu is offered as a QR code, and servers take your order when you're ready. We placed our order for food and then waited for quite a while, to the point where the two people who got seated after we did AND sat right next to us got all their food before my friend and I did, and we all ordered very similar things. It's because of this inconsistency of orders that this visit wasn't the 5-star visit it should have been. All of the above being said, the food slaps really hard for it being comfort food! We went overboard, as I usually do when I eat out: - I got the katsu mayo over rice as my main dish. The rice and eggs were quite plain, and the egg texture wasn't my favorite. The real winner was the chicken cutlet with their mayo drizzled on top of it. My taste buds were in love with the combination of tender, juicy meat, and a subtle hint of sweet coming from the mayo. This ended up being a lot and it was one of two dishes I ended up packing as leftovers. - I didn't eat my friend's galbi-jjim bibimbap in its entirety, but he did give me a large piece of the beef short ribs that came with it. Wow I could eat the meat by itself and I'd be satsfied, it was flavorful and juicy x1000! - We both also split a serving of ban ban chicken, which came with both original fried chicken and yangnyeom (gochujang sauce covered) fried chicken. Pieces varied a lot by size for both kinds, but it was still very satisfying. I took some of the original fried chicken to go as we couldn't finish what was left. All of these dishes were quite heavy, so come with a big appetite and maybe not go as crazy as I did. You'll have a great time eating here!

Yelp
The rose tteokbokki is always a 10/10! The bibimbap was a first this time, you can't mess it up. But it wasn't the best I've ever had. The jalapeño mayo wings reminded me of the honey walnut prawn sweet sauce. I've been here multiple times and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly.

Yelp
We visited a friend and we ordered takeout from here to eat at home. I thought the food overall was pretty good! The bibimbap was made with the same meat as the meat they used in their galbi Jim. I thought it was fine. They did add a lot of bean sprouts so next time I would try to omit them. The army stew was good. I liked the soup flavor and it wasn't really that spicy. The noodles were a nice touch to the dish. I don't usually eat a ton of this dish because the meat is all processed meat but every now and then it's fine! The fried chicken was ok. It was a little hard to eat with the bones and a little dry. Tteoukbokki was decent too. I don't usually eat this dish but thought it tasted fine. I liked the katsu mayo dish. It was quite rich and hearty, and I was surprised at how nice it tasted.

Yelp
Mama's Kitchen is a small mom and pop shop serving Korean classics. We came here for lunch and was lucky to get a table right away. It was quite a wait before we got our food but they were all delicious so all is well. We got the seafood pancake, the gyoza, the ban ban chicken and a cup of sikhye. - The seafood pancake was great, it had a different texture compared to pancakes that I've had in the past, not better or worse, just different. - The gyoza I couldn't remember, it was mostly consumed by our kid. - We enjoyed the ban ban chicken; I liked their yangnyeom sauce. - The sikhye (traditional sweet Korean rice beverage) was pretty good but is an acquired taste, so some might not appreciate it. They seem to be known for their kimbap so I would try that next time.

Yelp
My parents introduced me to this Korean comfort food shop nestled in a small shopping center across from Factoria Village, and I'm in love! There is always parking either in the parking lot the restaurant's in or in the much larger lot across the street. I recommend coming a little before noon or after the lunch rush to avoid having to wait in line. The service is friendly and ambiance is bright and clean. You'll see lots of Korean families and older Koreans eating here so you know the food is legit and delicious! I've tried quite a few things here and my favorites are the Chadol Jjolmyeon Noodle and Chicken Katsu. * Mama's Kimbap (2/5) - very pretty to look at and packed with lots of ingredients, but somehow it just wasn't that flavorful and it was a little dry. I've definitely had better at many other restaurants. * Mama's Budae Jjigae Soup (2/5) - a little too salty for my taste. I personally recommend getting this at have-Nam Kalbi & Calamari down in Shoreline instead, because it's lighter and not as salty for me. * Chadol Jjolmyeon Noodle (5/5) - presentation is 10/10 and the dish is flavorful, refreshing, and filling. The grilled chadol (beef brisket) tastes buttery, smoky, and just overall addicting. If I could, I would order another side of it. The generous portion of salad topping the cold, chewy noodles below pair so well with the sweet and sour sauce. This is my go-to dish and I highly recommend it especially on a hot summer day, or even when you just want something more refreshing. * Seafood Pancake (2/5) - I really wanted to love this but it was lacking in texture and flavor. The pancake was doughy and the sauce it came with was very one-note. For really good seafood pancake + sauce, I recommend Stone Korean Restaurant in Seattle. * Chicken Katsu (5/5) - the sauce and katsu are to-die-for. The sauce tastes like it's been slowly cooked with red wine, almost like a demi-glace. The katsu portion is generous and not oily at all. It also comes with a side of cream soup, which my stepdad and I both like using as another option of katsu dipping sauce.

Yelp
A cute little shop across from T&T supermarket. Pretty straightforward restaurant there's like barely any decorations but their food is legit! Got the jalapeño mayo and honey fried chicken combo and the kimchi fried rice with melted cheese. I was not expecting the jalapeño mayo to be sweet but it paired really well with the fried chicken! The honey chickens also really well balance and fried to perfection. I kind of expected the Kimchi fried rice to be spicy but it wasn't. It was actually really pleasant and you can kind of taste the wok a little. It was maybe a little too oily for my taste but that could also be the heap of cheese on top. Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Second time back - this is my new favorite neighborhood spot! So delicious and well cooked dishes. Portion was great too. Nothing too salty or sweet - balanced and delightful, like home cooked

Yelp
Came here for lunch with some friends and it was busy but not too bad. Not much wait and food came out quickly. It's such a chill fast casual place that makes it for easy dining. Food is always good here and doesn't disappoint, Korean fried chicken is great here and the sauce doesn't over power and skin is crispy. Bibimbap with galbi jjim only came with 4 pieces of beef but it seems plenty. We mixed it up w the ssamjang sauce, we even added the leftover rice we couldn't finish from the Soondubu to take home since we couldn't finish it. The Soondubu could be a bit more spicier but maybe my palate likes it a bit more spicier. We also got Mamas kimbap which wasn't anything to rave about but it was wrapped well and tasty. Side dishes are always different but this time there was some fried eggplant which was nice since I never had a side dish like that before.

Yelp
Pros: food tastes good. I don't think it's super traditional but that doesn't make it unauthentic. Cons: restroom isn't clean and it is messy. Dining floor and tables are sticky.

Yelp
I'm writing this review based on two separate visits. I wanted to share my experience--especially with the Half & Half (H&H) chicken--and see if others had similar thoughts. During my first visit, I ordered the H&H chicken and the hamburger steak. The hamburger steak lacked seasoning and had an unpleasant ground meat smell that wasn't masked well. But the worst part was the plating. The plate was full of water from the salad, which had run into the rice and meat. Every time I picked up a piece of food, I had to shake off excess water--it was really off-putting. The H&H chicken was the most disappointing. I took most of it to go, and while packing, I noticed all six pieces were wings. I had already eaten a couple, so I was confused--how could there be more than two wings from one chicken? I looked around and noticed other tables who ordered the same dish didn't get just wings, so I'm not sure what happened there. On my second visit, I ordered the chadol jjolmyun, veggie kimbap (their best and signature item), and chicken katsu. The chicken katsu is basically the same as the hamburger steak in terms of sauce and plating--just a different protein. I'm not a fan of their sauce. I wish they offered something with more kick or a tangier flavor. The overall taste was bland, and I quickly got tired of it. The chadol jjolmyun was pretty good--plenty of veggies and nicely cooked meat on top. The initial presentation was scrumptious. However, the noodles were buried at the bottom and hard to mix in. Also, the flavor leaned greasy due to the meat and extra sesame oil. A bit more vinegar or something refreshing would have balanced it better. The veggie kimbap remains my favorite. It has a minimal rice-to-veggie ratio and is packed with fresh ingredients. The side of pickled radish kimchi adds a nice kick and helps reset your palate between bites. Overall, I still feel the prices are a bit high for what you get, but since everything is expensive these days, I might come back occasionally. When I do, I'll stick to their signature items like kimbap and tteokbokki.

Yelp
Met up with a friend for dinner and our first choice was closed so we decided to try this place. This is a small place with about 10 tables. There was only 1 waiter working and he was on top of it. He kept our water cups filled all night. It was busy when we got there and people flowed in and out throughout the entire time we were there (about 2 hrs). Food came out pretty quick and everything tasted great. The katsu with mayo was delish. If you're a mayo lover then you'll enjoy this dish very much. The potstickers was great as was the tofu soup. The tofu soup had a good amount of seafood too. Banchan was delicious too. Definitely going back again.
google avatar

Chara C.

Yelp
Katsu mayo hit the spot - the seaweed on top was a nice touch. Mayo mightve been a tad on the sweet side for my taste, could've had a touch more savory balance, but maybe others like the sweet more. Shrimp tempura was beautifully light and airy, with the perfect vinaigrette dipping sauce to cut through the oily batter. Wings were a little dense on the batter and oiliness - felt a little too heavy. Could've used a better brine for more flavor inside the chicken. Both sauces were tasty though - the jalapeño mayo was missing something (probably also the same savory factor as the katsu mayo - could've fried the diced jalapeño and maybe added some salty fried garlic to really blend the flavors together, as it just tastes like sweet american coleslaw dressing with raw diced jalapeño currently). The honey sauce was my favorite, no change needed. Prices are quite high but average for korean food. Service was good. Busy for a late afternoon lunch, which is a good sign.

Yelp
Food...delicious!!! Let's be real, I can't produce these dishes' names so I was thankful for menu with English descriptions. Thank you for that. Service was attentive and ambiance was neat and modern. I realize I like to eat in restaurants that have a warmer colors. Browns, wood, gold...this restaurant was cool colors. So I didn't enjoy sitting in the restaurant. This is totally my personal opinion, in fact, all of it is.

Yelp
Great food. The chicken, the kimbap, tteokboki. All of it is delicious. 10/10 recommend. Service is fine nothing outstanding but they do fine
google avatar

Aravind V.

Yelp
Really small shop, not much space for waiting inside and not many tables to go around. Service took a significant amount of time, from getting our order taken to receiving the order. That said, the Mama's Spicy Galbijjim was DELICIOUS - everything from the tender meat to the tteokbokki to the sauce was amazing. The kimbap was also excellent, and overall the food quality made the entire wait worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Small cozy korean restaurant. We got kimchi cheese fried rice, ban ban chicken (half yangyeom and plain), tteokbokki, seafood pancake, and mama's galbijjim. All the food was good and my favorites were the seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice!! The seafood pancake had plentiful seafood and was covered in crispy panko bread. Their food such as the tteokbokki is not spicy and more on the sweeter side. $ to portion size was a bit on the higher side. In general, good korean food and would only come back if I was craving korean food in the area.
google avatar

Nayia R.

Yelp
I came back!! And loved it once again. I ordered the seafood ramen and my gosh it's so delicious. Ramen is one of my favorites and this broth is delicious. You get a few pieces of shrimp, a muscle and scallops. Then it comes with a side of Kimchi too. The food is cooked when ordered and comes out really fast. I ordered to go and the staff was friendly. It's a cute, small place but you can dine in and has seating for small groups. If you're ordering to go, they want you to wait outside of the restaurant. Overall I enjoyed my food and will continue to eat here.

Yelp
Great spot for Korean classics! I went with a larger group of 7 and we managed to snag the long table before it got crowded! The space is not very big so it does fill up fast. We went family style and tried a bunch of things. My favourites were the Tteokbokki and making my own bowls with the mains and banchan! If you like the spice their house sauce is also really good! Review of the food we got: Tteokbokki- this was my first time trying tteokbokki. We tried both version and I loved it! The flavors were great on both though the cheese one was the winner Ban ban chicken- I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken but I did really like the way the spicy half was flavored. This was a fan favorite for everyone else! Mamas spicy galbijjim- this was really good as a dish to share since it came with rice and banchan and a big portion of the short ribs and rice cakes. The portion was bigger than we expected so we had a lot of leftovers Pork over rice- really like the flavors on this to and enjoyed it with the banchan Gyoza, seafood pancakes and shrimp tempura appetizers- pretty standard Overall we had a great meal! The service was good and they even helped us pack up the leftovers. Would love to try the bibimbap next time as that is my usual favorite.

Yelp
I come here from time to time and it always hits! This is what I crave when I want some korean comfort food. I've tried a few items off their menu but there's 3 staples I will always get when I dine in. Tuna Kimbap, you get a massive roll with fresh ingredients and the rice ratio is perfect! Spicy Pork over Rice, packs a good amount of heat with nice flavor from the marinade. I do wish it was a little more savory, korean food tends to be more on the sweeter side but that's also just my preference. Seafood Ramen, this is a must to pair with kimbap in my opinion. You have to dip it in the broth!! The ramen is a hit or miss sometimes, but when it hits it hits the right spots. Nice bouncy noodles with some squid, scallops, mussel and shrimp. Today the broth was perfectly flavorful and you really taste the seafood. It's never been super busy when I've stopped by luckily, and the service is always nice. The prices did go up I believe, a little expensive for what it is. But I'll still be coming back!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a movie. The food was decent. I had the spicy pork over rice, which I do wish was a bit spicier. My wife and I both enjoyed the gyoza. My wife really enjoyed her spicy seafood ramen. Service was good and restrooms were clean. It's only a small restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday evening and it was packed, but we were greeted and got seated right away. The overall ambiance and vibe was very relaxed and homey. We ordered the Korean army stew and the katsu and both tasted great! Super fresh and juicy and the broth was full of flavor. Service was great. It was very busy but we got our waters refilled and checked up on regularly. What set it apart was after we paid, I forgot my leftovers and the server ran out to the parking lot to hand it to me. Definitely went above and beyond!
google avatar

Yelp
Just want to add more pics. Still rave about this place! Staff is friendly, food is delicious! They seem to be always busy. We went on a Thursday night thinking it'll be slow then a wave of customers came in groups at a time after us. Tried the japchae and Katsu Mayo over rice. Both are good and we added it to our favorites! Japchae is a savory and slightly sweet dish of stir-fried noodles, vegetables and meat. Traditionally, sweet potato noodles are used but not sure if this is what they use. Katsu Mayo over rice - breaded cutlet of pork drizzled with Japanese mayo serve over rice with scrambled egg. The mayo gives this dish a slightly sweet taste. So good!
google avatar

Fenny C.

Yelp
Been here few times. Parking: shared parking with other retailers. Menu: via qr code We ordered: Korean seafood pancake - they use panko breading now. I like the original better Jap Chae - it's good. Not too oily and not too sweet. Soodooboo - it comes with rice. They have about 8 table to sear 4 people, an area for bar table and a communal table. There's a table near the kitchen counter says chargeable items: to go box, plastic bags, to go utensils. Overall is good.

Yelp
This place was clean with easy parking. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. My favorite is dipping the kimbap in the tteokbokki. And just their fries chicken gives you options to try half and half flavors. Our favorite was the jalapeno mayo.

** Visited on 7/5/2024 I had visited this cute and cozy restaurant with a group of about 14 - I had called ahead to reserve a table, however was told that it's first come first serve, but they were able to accomodate our large group and I was incredibly grateful for the staff here. Considering we came on a Friday around 4:30pm, we were able to be seated right away and situated. The staff here were especially kind and patient as we had a large group and were trying to figure what to order. They were very efficient in making sure we were all satisfied and quick to help when asked. OKAY THE FOOD: *TRY their Galibi Jjim Bibimbap, it was SUPER yummy and fills you up! *Their kimbap was the perfect kimbap, and if you order their Mama's Rose TteokBokki- DIP THE KIMBAP IN THE SAUCE AND GET LOST IN THE SAUCE. Their food had impressed me and my foodie cousin for sure. We were pretty happy with the overall price, presentation and the portion size. The best part, they're open late night so definitely a great spot in my book. Definitely next time I take a trip out to Seattle/ Bellevue, I want to stop by and try their other dishes. :-)

Yelp
Came with her on a Sunday afternoon with 2 other friends, we were seated right away and had QR code readily available. We ordered the Veggie Kimbap, Bimbibap, seafood pancake and the fried chicken. I really enjoyed the freshness taste of the Kimbap, probably the best I have ever had... the unique veggies stood out and the rice ratio was perfect (not too much). I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. Service was also attentive!

Yelp
The service was fast and the bibimbap was really good. The food is on the spicy side so keep that in mind if you don't like heat. Overall solid option!

Yelp
Mama's Kitchen has been in Factoria for at least four to five years now and is one of few Korean restaurants on the Eastside. My friends and I came here for lunch on a Saturday at around 11:30am. The lunch crowd didn't start until around noon, and so we had an easy time getting a table. Mama's Kitchen menu is pretty limited, but they have all the popular Korean fare including Korean Fried Chicken, Kimchi Fried Rice, Tteokbokki (cylindrical rice rolls), and Soondubu (spicy Korean tofu soup). For three of us, we ordered MAMA'S KIMBAP, MAMA'S ROSE TTEOKBOKKI, and MAMA'S HONEY FRIED CHICKEN. The tteokbokki and the fried chicken both came with miso soup and the kimbap came with a side of kimchi radish. Of the dishes we ordered, the ROSE TTEOKBOKKI was the best. It was super rich and creamy and came with a piece of shrimp tempura, and egg roll, and a potsticker. The KIMBAP was also decent and was filled with beef, shredded egg, daikon, spinach, and carrots. They fell apart pretty easily though and so you have to eat them in one bite. Surprisingly, the HONEY FRIED CHICKEN was a little disappointing. While it had the right Gochujang sauce and flavor, the chicken was soggy and not crispy like traditional Korean Fried Chicken. With that said, the chicken was the most generous in terms of portions. The restaurant itself is pretty tight and only has eight to ten tables max with some window seating. It's clean and modern. Service was okay. It took some time to waive the waiter down. I also wish they served complimentary hot tea and unlimited ban chan. I'm my honest opinion, prices are kind of high for what you get (in comparison to Danji and Cho Dang Tofu), but it's definitely convenient for those passing by Factoria on their way back from work. Plus, Da Boba is right next door and so you can easily hit two birds with one stone. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

Yelp
I went a few years back and I honestly wasn't that impressed by the food but it's really different now and I'm not sure if they switched the recipes or chef but I came back another time afterwards. I ordered the mama's kimbap, sundubu, and japchae. They came with this fried eggplant side that I really liked. The breading and sweet taste was perfect. The radish was also had this really nice refreshing crunch to it. This meal was for two of us and so we really ended up packing more than we actually ate. The second time we came back, I ordered this bibimbap but I think the server heard wrong and was about to give us three of them but after clearing up the mistake, she kindly took it back. If anything, I think the only thing would be how awkwardly the server has to stand in front of the kitchen and in between tables. The other server also seemed really laid off and quiet when she spoke which kind of in a way made her seem lazy? But food is food, we'll always come back if we're craving korean food.

Yelp
Such a staple place in my life. I love Mama's comfort food and I always find myself coming back. I do wish their ban ban chicken had less breading and more chicken (the pieces are small). The fried rice and budae jjigae are so good!

Yelp
The Korean chicken at Mama's might be the best I've ever had!! For us, it's worth the three hour drive!

Yelp
I like Mama's Kitchen! Makes me feel like my Mama is making food especially for me. Mama always told me "life is like a box of sushi, you never know whatcha gonna get." I would recommend this place. As Borat would say "verrrrrrrry nice".

Yelp
We were craving Korean food so stopped by in the neighborhood. Parking was complimentary. Luckily, we got sat right away before dinner rush started. The ambiance was cozy and casual. We ordered tuna kimbap, tteokbokki and mamas budae jjigae. The service was upbeat and friendly and portion was generous. I haven't been here for long time and they changed ingredients for tuna kimbap and it's worth the price. The only downside was the side dish and it only came with radish. Other than that, everything was delicious. We look forward to dining here again.

Yelp
I give this place a five star, but we just end up spending a little bit more than we'd like every time! I don't think it's over price, but I think it could be priced a little bit better. Other than that, the food quality is definitely a 10 out of 10 !! The service is pretty good ! The restaurant itself is pretty small, so there's not always a lot of seating ! But if you can grab a spot, it's great! We usually will do to go My wife always does tofu soup, and I do anything with short rib!

Yelp
When the menu said ramen on the soup, I didn't really think it was too ramen. They said sausage and I thought Italian sausage....it was those 99 cent hot dog. I paid $24 for food I ate in college. The red ramen soup I wouldn't come here again. It's not authentic at all and extremely overpriced for college top ramen. The only thing u liked was the Kim chi cheese Korean pancake.

Yelp
A great spot to eat at on the Eastside. Mamas Kitchen is a casual spot with some really good food. Besides how good the food is the other things I really like are how everything is shared so you get to try a lot of different dishes and the prices are affordable. I have been here a couple of times and tried a few different things and my favorite things are the katsu mayo over rice (you 100% should order this), the mamas japchae which is a super flavorful glass noodle dish and the soondooboo which has a good spice level to it and I really enjoy putting rice in it to soak up all the flavor. The mamas kimbap is also really good as well. The fried chicken is solid but I think the katsu is much better so I would recommend that and the cheese tteokbokki was not my personal favorite as it was too sweet for me and I just wasn't a fan of the cheese. My recommendations are to come on a week night as it is really popular and you will have to wait a while on a weekend and to try a few different items. I look forward to trying some other items off the menu in the future!

Yelp
First encounter has been great. Ban Ban Chicken is just right. Prices are higher than in the photos. It's now 24.99, but still worth it imo.

Yelp
Had the kimbap and the galbi jjim bibimbap and both dishes blew my mind! I would love to come back here to try their fried chicken and their rose tteokbokki. Both of those dishes seem to be pretty hyped.

Yelp
Good things take time. The food here is wonderful, but the wait really tries your patience. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, and took more than 40 minutes after ordering to get our food. HOWEVER. I would say it was totally worth it. I ordered the soondubu and I loved it -- the soup was the perfect consistency and the tofu absorbed the flavor really well. Their rice is also perfect! Everything comes out in a stone pot so it's still piping hot and even bubbling by the time you get it. Definitely don't come here expecting it to be a quick bite. They seem incredibly understaffed (though the staff they do have are very kind) and get way too many takeout orders which they seem to prioritize over dine in. But if you have time, it's delicious!

Yelp
I ordered the Galbi Jjim Bibimbap with a fried egg ($25.99), it was just okay in my opinion, definitely had better bibimbap before. The only side dishes they had (for free) were kimchi radishes, so don't expect a ton of side dishes that typical Korean restaurants offer. I've also been here before and have had some other items, I just feel like this place is more of a Korean Fusion place with all the cheese and rose ttokkbokki rather than traditional and that's okay if that's what you're into. The item menu is also relatively expensive, an 8 piece gimbap for $13.99 is a bit much for me, although definitely try this place if you want to. This place is a small restaurant with somewhat limited tables. I heard that this place gets relatively busy and has a 45+ minute wait on some nights, but luckily we came on a random Tuesday night so we had no wait. Also expect not a lot of service, although calling someone over for the check or more napkins is of course doable.

Yelp
No questions asked, just come here. Wow. I wished they could open an authentic restaurant like this in Houston!! The Soondooboo Soup - seafood / tofu is the best I've had. My friend got their Chicken Katsu over rice and she said it's the best she's ever had. She even ordered an additional togo plate and asked for extra mayo on it. One recommendation is they could offer more free side dishes like other korean places, but besides that... would definitely come back here! The restaurant has minimal seating and was extremely crowded during weekday night when we went... but SO WORTH it.

Yelp
Such a nice and pleasant place! Perfect for lunch. I came right at opening time on a Friday, and were the first people inside. It seemed like they were still getting ready but were still able to deliver our food in a timely manner! I got the mama's gimbap and my friend got the seafood rose tteokbokki. This gimbap was so pretty! It had the greatest filling to rice ratio that I've ever seen, and was packed full of veggies, imitation crab, bulgogi, etc. It was so fresh and delicious! I also tried some of my friend's tteokbokki which was super good as well -- very creamy and the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. We both really enjoyed our meals :) Also appreciate how the kimchi with it was super fresh and yummy too. Thanks for having us!

Yelp
4.5 stars Awesome homestyle Korean food in a casual cafe setting. Large portions and really flavorful! -Kimchee Pancake ($13.99) - cheesy and flavorful, my only nit is I wish the cheese had been melted through all the way -Mama's Kimbap ($13.99) - well made, almost like art! Loved the filling to rice ratio. -Gyoza ($8.99) - Crispy and flavorful -Spicy Pork over Rice ($16.99) - awesome and yummy -Galbi Jjim Bibimbap ($24.99) - super rich fatty short rib with a generous amount of all the bibimbap components -Chadol Jjolmyeon ($17.99) They are weirdly stingy about takeout containers and bags but I guess that's the nature if owning the business

Yelp
This place has a homey Korean vibe with workers that speak korean to each other so you would think it would match up. But it do fall short like hasabulla. The stand outs are the rose tteboki and the yangyeom chicken. These dishes would make any ajumma proud. The galbijim was good but not daeho good and everything else was disappointing like my ex. Bulk approved would come back

Yelp
Food was good; i didn't like how they give you slim pickings for the banchan. Service is lackluster because there are only 2 people manning the restaurant and you have to "flag them down" each time you want something. No barley tea, just water in a jug banchan's were - eggplant (fried), spinanch, and some radish daikon. portions on the smaller side esp for soonduboo wings were good gimbap were big and tasted good
