Mama's Pizza is a beloved North End staple since 1964, serving up classic thin-crust pies and hearty Italian dishes with generous portions and warm service.
"This homey North End institution first opened in 1964 and is beloved for its thin-crust pizza, its meatballs served in gravy, and its budget-friendly prices. The pizza, coated in Mama’s famous red sauce and heaped with cheese, speaks to St. Paul’s Italian history. Try the “Flavor Explosion” with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, banana peppers, and pineapple — or build your own pie next time you’re craving old-school pizza." - Stacy Brooks
"Mama’s Pizza, best known for the old-school, thin-crust pizza it’s served since 1964, also offers classic Italian red sauce dishes like ravioli and meatball marinara. For maximal mozzarella, try the cheese Diego, and stick around for the free miniature soft-serve cone at the end of the meal." - Justine Jones, Eater Staff
"This homey North End institution has long been loved for many things since opening at the corner of Rice Street and Front Avenue in 1964: Its thin-crust pizza, its meatballs in gravy, and its affordability. Now takeout only, pizza is the star of the show, coated in its famous red sauce and heapings of cheese. Try a Flavor Explosion with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and pineapple or build you own pie next time you’re craving old-school pizza." - Alex Lodner, Eater Staff
"The beloved neighborhood pizza joint is known for its adorable heart shaped pizza on Valentine’s Day, but when is it not a good time for pizza?" - Alex Lodner
Family owned Italian restaurant. Generous portions and great customer service. During the before times (pre-pandemic) the best part was getting the complimentary mini ice cream cone at the end of the meal. Perfect!
