The hotel service has been exceptional throughout our stay. We were upgraded on arrival, and the team even left a cake in our room for our belated anniversary, which was a thoughtful touch. The rooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. The buffet is consistently well stocked and tasty. The spa staff are welcoming and provide attentive service from start to finish. I had my nails done and a massage with Vivi, which was a highlight of my stay. Her massage was skilled and effective—she worked through the tension in my upper back, and I slept very well that night. Vivi is friendly, easy-going, and professional, and I would happily recommend her.

Good but there's room for improvement as sometimes the little details detract from what could be a great experience. The club Lounge, Haus 65, was very good at certain things and poor at others. The good, staff are excellent and very helpful, the car service was fantastic and very much appreciated. Availability of drinks and the variety are excellent. The bad, food overall was disappointing. Breakfast hot buffet food was cold every time we tried to use it, please turn the heat UP, selection was poor. Afternoon tea was the best with a good mix of choices. The evening was the most disappointing with a heavy Indian influence, ( i thought we were in Singapore NOT Bombay) one night it was exclusively Indian, Yuk so we had nothing we could eat. Again most dishes were luke warm to cold. Overall could have been very good if you had some more Asian choices.|We tried the Embu breakfast buffet one morning and it was just a shambles with people everywhere and kids running wild, we have never seen so many rude dirty disrespectful people in one place, just grubs, staff try but seemed overwhelmed.|The room was lovely but again the bathroom is a real let down with extremely poor design. there is almost no room to dry yourself after getting out of the shower as they have jammed a bath tub in the corner and it is crammed. it all looks great but is totally impractical, typical of a trendy designer with NO idea of practicality.|Pool water is freezing cold, please at least heat the water to take the edge off the temperature, is it any wonder hardly anyone was in the water. Also its a dangerous area overall as there are insufficient handrails given the volume and positioning of the many steps in the pool area.|When you paying nearly $1000 per night I think we will continue our search of better options.|This hotel gets close but the little and finer details really do make the difference and on this this hotel fails the test.|Overall stay was very good but for the price you expect excellent.

A memorable stay that surpassed my expectations. This definitely tops my list in terms of service, people, aesthetics, amenities and everything else. I rarely send compliments but this is a well-deserved one. They have perfectly espoused the meaning of "warm greetings". Our experience was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, and impeccably maintained. The standard of customer service that your staff provide is absolutely outstanding. A great stay. Everyone on the staff is so personable and friendly and really make an effort to connect. Pool service, coffee shop, Momo bar, housekeeping, concierge all stellar. Easy location for Marina Bay attractions. Fantastic breakfast.

Great hotel with recent renovations. All the staff are very polite and professional. Breakfast is great, although I would only recommend to add chicken rice as many other hotels do. Pool side food is amazing (satay and friends in particular). The hotel is connected to Marina square which is very convenient. I would also like to add that the housekeeping (cleaning) service was flawless, each and every day. The only downside - the price was significantly increased after renovations. While it is understandable, I think it will discourage customers to come more frequently, and only visit during special occasions or celebrations. After all, the rooms are not particularly superior than other hotels except for the MBS view. Considering the money for quality - I would give it 4 maybe even a 3.

We stayed at Mandarin Oriental Singapore for the final nights of our honeymoon, and it is without question one of the finest hotels we have ever experienced. True five-star service is rare, yet this property delivers it effortlessly. From the moment we were warmly greeted by Christian on arrival, the service was seamless, polished, and genuinely attentive through to our departure. A special thank you to Caesar for his thoughtful recommendations and guidance on exploring Singapore which made our stay even more memorable. Housekeeping and turndown were flawless, the amenities and food were of exceptional quality, and the pool overlooking the bay was a highlight. A standout hotel that sets the benchmark for luxury hospitality - the perfect way to end our honeymoon. We cannot wait to return.

After our trip to Malaysia we ventured to Singapore and stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. It's a beautiful hotel. They took us up to the executive lounge to check in while we enjoyed some tea time sandwiches and cakes. Our room had the beautiful view of the hotel featured in Crazy Rich Asians - The Marina Bay Resort. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the Executive Lounge or downstairs in their restaurant. There is more of a selection downstairs. Just like the one in Malaysia you can enjoy tea time and cocktails. They arranged an exciting side car Vespa ride around the city.

NOTE: This Review is for the Spa only, located on the 5th Floor. HOTEL SPA: ** Singing Bowl Therapy = (4.5) Very Relaxing! Don't be surprised if you fall asleep:)lol And while the spa is small, they have excellent service and treatments!

The location is good - you can walk across the helix bridge to the Sands and the ArtScience Museum. Though it's not directly attached to a MRT station, you can get to Esplanade via the connected mall and Promenade with a bit more effort through a skywalk and the Millennia Walk. The rooms are decently sized but can use some freshening up. It's got the same mildew scent that many of the older hotels got. For a luxury hotel such as this, one would expect better. Breakfast at the Melt Cafe has an awesome selection: Indian, Malay, Chinese, and western cuisines. Though priced at $50+ SGD a pop, I think you can do much better dining out. Overall, it's comfortable - but if I had to pick, I'd go with some of the newer ones in the area.

Booked a high-end room at the Mandarin oriental Singapore, where I had stayed previously and loved it. I got an email from them saying there was a problem with the room and they were booking us in a lower price room with a discount. OK no problem I told them. When we got to the hotel, it was clear it was being renovated. There were many hotel workers who politely greeted us in the lobby. I've never had half a dozen people greet me when I enter a hotel, but OK it was nice enough. When we got to the room, it smelled extremely strongly of fresh paint. So strongly, my wife was nauseous. Then after about a minute, there was a more or less continuous hammer banging and drllling in the room above us. it was clear the whole hotel was under renovation and yet they expected people to stay there. Also, given how empty the hotel was, it was very odd that they put us in a room directly beneath a construction site, so it was maximally loud. We obviously couldn't stay there, so we booked a hotel near the Mandarin. I told the manager that this wouldn't fly in a motel six, let alone the Mandarin Oriental. The manager was very apologetic and very nice and assured us we wouldn't be charged for the room and they would comp us a free night next time we're in Singapore. Appreciate that of course. Perhaps next time wait a few days so the air clears out and your hotel guests are not nauseous and disturbed by construction noises inwhat used to be one of the nicest, and most expensive, hotels in Singapore.

Excellent in every regard. Exactly the service I was expecting. Clean and comfortable rooms, amazing cleaning staff. I love the pool and the view. I got in late and I wish I knew that when you get out of the hotel and go right, there is a great street food area about 1/2 mile down, that is open late. I didn't do breakfast as I wanted to try more local food, but I would def do the option if I was on a business trip- it looked good. I will def be staying here when I go back. You can walk to the gardens and Mandalay Bay but takes like 15-30 min depending which but very safe and easy walk.

Slightly overdue review on MO Singapore. We stayed here for several days. It felt a bit more massive than some of the other MOs we've been to. Staff was friendly as always, pool was amazing with great views and drinks. However, there was some small mishap at the spa when I first went down trying to make an appointment, because, nobody was answering my call there. And there was absolutely nobody there for at least 10min. Then some girl who was working there came out from back room but only had attention on some existing customers. I was jetlagged and not in the best mood, so naturally I kinda exploded. I never thought booking a massage would be so hard at an MO hotel! After I went back to the room, some hotel manager called, apologized, and offered some longer massage at discounted price - not free, but the apology was very sincere. Normally that mishap would knock down one star, but I also had one of THE BEST club sandwiches here from in room services, which bumps it back up to 5. I'd come back here if I'm ever back to visit Singapore.

Over the years, I have stayed at many MO locations including in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and couple of other domestic US cities. This was our first time at their Singapore location but it left us with mixed feelings about MO. Just like every other Mandarin locations this one is conveniently located next to the Promenade MRT station, the Singapore Eye, and just a bridge across from the Marina Bay Sands and casino. It's the most ideal location for not only just tourists but also businessmen since the financial district and all the big companies are parked just few mins away. Now on to the actual experience upon arrival and hotel itself: We booked this hotel after doing a lot of research and from their official hotel photos it looks very stylish and big. However, In reality the room has probably not been renovated/updated for 15 years. The yellowish/brown tiles and furniture is so 90's..... It was really not the standard I expected from MO group of hotels. Lobby needs a major update as it's so dark and gloomy. There are only 4 check in counters and 1 small concierge/bell desk area in the lobby. During the check in the staff was not courteous and did not provide us with lot of details. Our rooms were pre-set based on our bookings however they had us on wrong level of floors which got rectified after but it was a hassle to check in to wrong room and move to our suite at later time. Surprisingly for the first time we had haul our own luggage to the room. To be honest, I would rather have a fancy room, than having housekeeping coming 3 times a day to make up my bed. We did book breakfast with the hotel and it was quite nice. Huge breakfast buffet with lots of choices, but majority of the selection was very much Asian- oriented. Over all we were pleased with the wait staff at breakfast. Nothing wrong with the hotel but just a general sense of disappointment with the experience given it is a Mandarin Oriental and the price we paid for the room. It could've been lot better. If we were to go back to Singapore I'd not stay at this place again. There are plenty of other hotels in the Marina Bay area.

This is absolutely a 5 Star hotel! The location is great - 10-15 minutes from the Bay and local attractions. The service is exceptional. All needs and requests are met. The room was tidied up and replenished beautifully each day. Employees are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here on a trip to Singapore!

The Good The people were really nice. Upon checking in, the front desk lady showed us to our room and gave helpful pointers (the electrical outlets by the desk don't need converters, how the privacy button works for room service, etc). The view of the bay is absolutely breathtaking! It's a million dollar view if you plan on staying in the hotel for a good chuck of time. Location, location, location. There's tons of attractions close by: shopping, theaters, public transit, the helix bridge, casino, flyer, street cart food market, etc. The pool is very small but gorgeous. The towel service is excellent with many to spare and always clean. The gym is a nice amenity. It's a small gym but has all the essential. I was also amazed they had TRX set up just outside of their gym. The Bad There's a concierge desk that has maps but can't really offer any valuable tips. On the day I visited the desk, the lady recommended the hop-on/hop-off bus ($33 SGD for 24 hours) which I took up. Only to be disappointed that for less money ($20 SGD) I could get a 3 day tourist pass for the public train/bus! She also told me, "there's so many places to eat." which isn't exactly helpful when you have NO idea of where to go. But none the less, she was nice. For breakfast, only The Melt is open. I thought that $400/night would get you complimentary breakfast, but nope. The Melt is a buffet style restaurant and at $53 SGD a person, it's a very pricey breakfast. There's a wide selection of food to fit all kinds of eating habits. But I wasn't thoroughly impressed with anything in particular; I'd recommend getting breakfast via room service. I was disappointed to find that the yoga studio costs $100/session/user. At this rate, I might as well just do yoga in my own room.

I would leave zero stars if I could. When we got to what is typically a $1200/night room, it smelled of paint and the fumes made me nauseous. When I asked if we could switch rooms, the guy who showed us to the room said that the other rooms would be no different because they had all just been painted and renovated. He said he would send an air filter up to the room. I tried to make the best of it as we were only there one night but as we sat in this room, I became more and more nauseous from the paint fumes. 2 minutes into our stay, there was a loud hammering noise coming from upstairs. They were obviously doing MAJOR renovations that were unfinished and had made a ridiculous decision to do what they kept calling a "soft opening" for the hotel while they were still doing these renovations (from the looks of it they had at least 6 more months of renovations that they had left to do). When the banging started and would not stop, my husband tried to get on the internet to book as another room so we could get out of there as quickly as possible but the internet was also not working! I had to call downstairs three times to let them know about the fumes, the noise, and the internet, and they just kept saying they would contact the manager to see if they could find a "solution." I finally had to physically leave the room after about 15 minutes because the fumes were making me ill. I went downstairs and could see the extent of the renovations they were doing on almost every floor of the hotel. I heard drilling as I went down the elevator and continued to hear drilling as I sat in the lobby waiting for my husband to finish booking a new room for us at the Ritz Carlton. I also noticed that the lobby also smelled like paint fumes. The people at the front desk should have apologized right away and offered to refund the money, help us book a new room at a different hotel, and ordered a car for us, but they would not admit that anything was amiss and just kept saying they needed to consult with the manager for a "solution." The assistant manager finally came and was apologetic but still acted like it was perfectly normal that they were booking rooms in a hotel that was clearly not ready to be occupied. We had to find our own "solution" by booking a room for ourselves at the Ritz and instead of offering to drive us over (the Ritz is just 3 minutes away), the manager suggested at one point that we walk over there with all our luggage. They could have at least paid for the taxi ride. BTW I used to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore all the time (yearly) before Covid and it used to be excellent. Also stayed at the ones in Bangkok, London, and SF (they were always my favorite hotel chain). It also did not need these ridiculous renovations that they were doing as it was a beautiful and classic before. The inside of the hotel with the new renovations and loud colors now look like a cheap three-star hotel in Miami. The inside of the hotel room and the fixtures also look really tasteless, cheap, and gaudy now. The assistant manager was nice enough and said that he would give us one night complimentary stay the next time, but I was thinking that there was NO WAY that I would EVER COME BACK. Something really lacking with upper level management and whoever is managing Singapore location that we experienced this at all. I would even be reluctant to go to the other Mandarin Orientals because this was such a truly far out there experience. BTW, my husband had initially booked us a pricey suite and they contacted us the night before and switched us to a regular room for half-off because they said the suite was being renovated (they could have mentioned to us that the entire hotel was being renovated!). We should have known that something was wrong then. We are very happy with our experience at the Ritz Carlton (room, food, spa, service) and will stay here from now on when we come to Singapore.

Beautiful hotel with amazing amenities, such as panoramic views of the Marina Bay, a beautiful pool with a view of the high rises, and excellent customer service. In trying to change a segment of our flight, the concierge Rolando was extremely helpful and courteous. I would recommend the Mandarin Oriental to anyone coming to stay in Singapore for its great location and commitment to it's guests. Will definitely be staying at this fine establishment upon returning to Singapore in the future.

Excellent location and guest services. Room and hotel facility was very nice and in pristine condition. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet that caters to just about every picky eater. Short walk to shopping center and eateries.

Nice rooms, corner suite especially nice, large with lots of nice touches. Service in the hotel typically mediocre for Asia. Location great for Marina Bay Sands, just a 15 minute walk. Beautiful view from the bar outdoors, good cocktails, service slow. Breakfast buffet - lots of choices, seriously the bacon was amazing - have a roti bacon wrap. All in all a good conference hotel

Very conveniently located in the heart of the Marina Bay district right along the Grand Prix track. Our room offered stunning views over the Bay and the city skyline in addition to directly facing onto the Formula One racetrack itself. You could watch the race directly from your own room if you booked it enough in advance! I chose this area knowing it is very central to all the foodie, entertainment and shopping places I had on my wish list to check out. It is also only a couple of tube stations from the Orchard Road shopping district. Our Premium Ocean Room was clean and reasonably newly appointed with a pillow menu, twice daily housekeeping and free WIFI. In addition to the buffet restaurant there are four other restaurants which include Dolce Vita (Italian), Cherry Garden (Cantonese), Morton's (Steakhouse) and Wasabi Bistro (Japanese). We dined at Cherry Garden one evening where I was gob-smacked that I could enjoy beautiful Cantonese dishes made especially gluten free. Throughout our stay we found there to be a high level of attention to detail with excellent communication amongst their staff regarding my food allergies. It was refreshing to not have to reiterate at each venue what I could and couldn't eat and I would have no hesitation staying here again upon our return to Singapore

~OVERVIEW: The Mandarin Oriental is an absolutely incredible luxury hotel with a traditional oriental feel. I had the privilege of staying here in January 2014 (sadly for just one night before I left for Australia) and it was one of the finest, most enjoyable experiences I have had at a hotel. ~ CHECKIN: We were only able to stay here for one night, and we arrived at around 9pm / 21:00, but everything went swimmingly. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy a late check-out the next day as reception advised us that the room was required for the next night (which I think is total BS, as the hotel did not appear to be anywhere near at-capacity). This was the biggest disappointment of the stay, as we definitely would have liked to have utilized some extra time in the room in the morning. ~ROOM: The room was equipped with a minibar and a lovely pillow menu; the room was serviced twice a day by housekeeping, and in-room wifi was provided. The attention to detail in the room and at breakfast was unsurpassed. I stayed in a regular room because I knew I wouldn't be spending much time at this hotel and it was only for one night, but after inspecting the executive club lounge I was very sad that I didn't upgrade -- it looked amazing! ~ BREAKFAST: Similarly, the buffet breakfast was incredible. A HUGE assortment of food that spanned multiple rooms and levels of the hotel's restaurant. Previous to staying at the Mandarin Oriental I spent three nights in the Orchid Suite at the Marina Bay Sands, and MBS's complimentary suite breakfast at the infinity pool at the "Sky on 57" restaurant was terrible compared to the quality and diversity offered at the Mandarin Oriental. ~ ROOM SERVICE: We requested buckets of ice a number of times during the night and the delivery was mostly prompt. I had to call twice at one point when the ice didn't arrive after 10 or 15 minutes, but after that they were always quick to fulfill the order. We also ordered McDonald's delivery via my smartphone, and the concierge kindly called us when the McDonald's delivery boy arrived in the lobby with our snacks. ~ CONCLUSION: Overall, I had a very positive and successful experience at the Mandarin Oriental. I definitely recommend staying here, and I most definitely will be back here the next time I'm in Singapore. If you have the means, I would recommend upgrading to access the executive floor and associated benefits -- I certainly will be next time!

Staff is fantastic; professional, friendly and most helpful. Great location. My standard room had a great view of the marina bay. Hotel is walking distance to Merlion, the historic and beautiful Fullerton hotel, and a lot more. Terrific gym. Breakfast buffet is terrific staffed with friendly people eager to help. My only disappointment is the standard room; it needs updating. That's all. I've stayed at other MO locations like Bangkok and Las Vegas and this one in Singapore was shockingly dated.

Lovely establishment with stunning views. Try the amazing breakfast buffet (with what I roughly counted) 4-5 different types of cuisines. The concierge and doormen also have amazing attention to detail, remembering my name and daily itinerary after just 2-3 morning taxi reservations and magically producing a suitcase from storage within a minute of asking for it. Also echo other Yelpers about the amazing pool, with spacious bungalows and excellent poolside dining - definitely nicer than either one of the Hong Kong MOs. Did not try the spa, which seemed a bit small and cramped, but with so many other amazing non-hotel options in SG (Ikeda, ESPA, PortaSpa) around Clark Quay and downtown, I did not see this as a minus.

After reading my review, the hotel manager contacted me and upgraded me to a nicer room. I was going to checkout and move to MBS but he convinced me to stay. I ended up being put on a "high expectation guest" list and service improved, but it was forced and unnatural. I appreciate the effort but I will not stay here again, nor can I recommend this hotel to others.

Everything you'd want from a Mandarin Oriental ... Beautiful rooms, fantastic restaurants, perfect service, ... all with exquisite elegance! Location isn't ideal for me - a very minor detail as getting around is so so easy no matter where you are. I prefer Orchard as there's immediate access to shops,places to eat, people-watching ...

I've never stayed at this hotel but I've always appreciated the decor. It isn't the newest hotel in SIngapore but it proves that a well designed hotel can last the test of time. Mandarin walks the line between grandeur and tranquility very well. And it has a great Chinese restaurant in Cherry Garden.

Very nice hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is literally attached to a shopping mall, so it's very easy to do things there. The rooms are very luxurious, and the air conditioning (a must in Singapore) is very good. Overall, this was a very good experience. I thought the Mandarin Oriental in Washington DC was better, but overall, this is still a great place.

Stayed here for a few days this past month. Hands down the best service I've ever had. Staff was really attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate us. By the end of our stay they were calling us by our names. Views were outstanding, pool was fantastic and food was impeccable. We even tried a night at Marina Bay Sands and it couldn't hold a candle. This place really made our trip fantastic. Highly recommend! :)

My favorite hotel in Singapore. Stay here a few times a year, great service and fantastic rooms and gym/pool... Diverse food choices and the breakfast in the morning is the best selection I have ever seen.

In the middle of my trip to Singapore to visit my husband, he surprised me with a short stay at the Mandarin on Raffles Rd so we were closer to the area to explore the sights and just pamper ourselves. (Yes, he is very sweet and I am one very lucky girl to have such a thoughtful husband.) Mission accomplished. We loved every amenity and service the hotel offered, the pool is very nice and served delicious drinks, (I had the MO Boston cocktail and the MO Paris cocktail) surprisingly it wasn't very hot and we could actually enjoy being outside. We loved dinner at Cherry Garden, we selected the "Joy" tasting menu and loved every course. The dessert was especially exciting because they served it with dry ice, I loved the presentation. Our room service delivered breakfast the next morning was everything an American style breakfast should be, gluttonous and a lot of protein, we thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit by our window to take in the view of the harbor while we slowly woke up and relished the opportunity to have a lazy morning. Our two hour spa visit was one of the most relaxing treatments I've had and very necessary after a long flight and completion of a very stressful grad school quarter. The hotel did everything right, we had a wonderful experience. My one complaint is actually not for the hotel itself, but for Morton's Steakhouse Restaurant and the Morton's Bar located on the 5th floor of the hotel. If you want to be treated rudely then go there, otherwise, go to another bar or restaurant in the hotel.

This is your standard corporate and I mean corporate hotel, until you walk out to the roof top pool. OMG! the view from pool is amazing and the pool itself is a tropical paradise rarely seen in large cities in Asia. Swimming at night with city lights is an experience. There is a cute little Italian restaurant siding one half the pool which is a cool hip place to hang out and eat. Back inside the hotel, corporate stiff no frills rooms and a very small spa not worthy of a visit. The Morton's steakhouse on lower level is a winner. Likely the best one in the chain, far better than the ones in the USA.

Very nice hotel in Singapore. Great service. Our company usually puts us up at the Grand Hyatt. We stay here only when the Hyatt is sold out. I get access to the lounge with our corporate rate with them. Nice spread. Location is also nice.
