Manifest & (H)ours Dining Room (what I experienced this evening) are truly one of a kind for DC. The atmosphere, the accommodating staff, the aesthetic, and the warmth you feel at every turn in this establishment has raised the bar for what you should expect when you are looking for a third space. Upon entering Manifest, the aesthetic and color palette strike you—bright lights juxtaposed with earthy pastels and clean decor with smooth lines—all throughout the venue calm you and gives you a sense of serenity that sets the tone for an amazing experience. The dining experience is unique and no detail has been overlooked. From black table linens, to the hybrid mid-century modern Japanese design, and tableware seemingly cast iron, you get the sense the owner and Manifest team want you to feel a sense of refinement but comfort while dining. For dinner, we had cocktails which were Caribbean fusion and Japanese inspired, food options that included duck and caviar bites, grilled brussel sprout skewers, claypot rice with trumpet mushrooms, plantain bread with Iberico thin sliced ham, butter and semi-hard cheese, and a pork dish iberico secreto that was mouthwatering, topping it all off with key lime tiramisu, and a beignet-like plantain rice fritter with mango sauce. Our dining experience was elevated and it was apparent the chef and culinary team prepared each item with care and a high level of focus to deliver a truly enjoyable culinary journey. Our waitress Sara was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about each item on the menu, and the waitstaff were professional and on top of things. Overall, I would highly recommend this to individuals seeking a refined and upmarket experience combined with relaxing and accessible vibes. A+ and 10/10. A huge congrats to the owner KJ and Manifest team—this is a true gem for the city of Washington, DC!
