NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"There’s a sweet taste of the Green Mountain State at Maple Creamery in Crown Heights. Anyone who has been to Vermont in the summer knows that a maple creemee, made with real maple syrup, is an essential sweet treat. This spot makes vegan ice cream, dotted with real maple syrup, as well as a few other flavors." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

So grateful we have this in the neighborhood. Simple, natural flavors without any cane sugar (all maple syrup!). Love all the flavors: matcha lemongrass, key lime, strawberry, maple pecan, ALL so good. Collin the owner is so kind and can feel his passion for it, ask him about the vanilla bean process!

Best new ice cream shop focusing on highly refined and elevated ingredients! Perfect addition to Crown Heights!

awesome flavors, and perfect location right off Franklin Ave. We got 3 single scoops (vanilla, maple and a cookies type flavor) and they were all amazing, tasted super natural and not as expensive as I expected. They also had cookies and syrup for sale. The staff was really kind. I want to come back every day.

Unique flavors! Got the matcha lemongrass, pistachio maple, chocolate hazelnut coffee, and key lime pie. Medium is 2 scoops. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

So good! Friendly staff and the line moved pretty quick. I think my favorite of the few I tried was the pistachio. Highly recommend the key lime pie one as well. It is pretty sweet so you probably don’t need more than 1-2 scoops in my opinion. I don’t eat dairy so I’m sure I’ll be coming here often. But it’s just as creamy as any dairy ice cream! So you don’t have to be vegan or dairy free to also enjoy!

Try the matcha lemongrass - you won't be disappointed 💚

I wish the portions were a bit more generous (two flavors didn’t even fill the cup) and the texture could be smoother, especially for the vanilla. That said, the staff is friendly and encourages you to sample as many flavors as you like (and they’re all delicious) I also really appreciate that all the flavors are dairy-free. I’ll give it another try.

This concept is very interesting. While I wouldn’t say I’m blown away by the flavors, it’s definitely unique. I’ve never tasted anything of this quality before. staff is friendly, They accept electronic payments. There’s seating for two people indoors, and it’s a grab-and-go type of situation.

Yelp
Woah, did I just have a deliscigasm from some local handmade vegan ice cream that didn't cost me a car payment!! Heavy hitting new creamery right off Franklin Ave bringing some AMAZING flavor to the neighborhood in the height of the summer. Couldn't be any better. Tired of walking to Washington for a $8 scoop of 2 vegan options... ($4 /scoop here) Maple Creamery had a whole spread and the best part is you'd never know it wasn't made with milk or eggs unless you asked! The owner Collin (sp?) started experimenting with making his own desserts after getting these 'ice cream hangovers' from too much dairy, cane sugars and other products. Perfecting his craft and sharing it with friends encouraged him to get a full blown store. And I couldn't be more grateful The secret is coconut cream.. a natural thick and tasty byproduct of just one thing... coconuts. This is what I'm talking about, this is what vegan should be, plants first and bringing their beauty to new heights. Love the ethos and story behind this place. I tried a scoop of the strawberry and pistachio. Creamy, sweet (but not too sugary like syrup), so much flavor and texture. I've never had vegan ice cream like this or even dairy ice cream. And my grandfather has a creamery when I was a baby! The store is pretty small so not much sit down options but there are shade trees nearby and a huge sidewalk to hang on. Amazing work and persistence to the team, they definitely went through some trials to open this venue. It was empty for so long and now it's time to shine. Congrats! And I will definitely be back!!
