Margaritaville Resort Times Square

Location is perfect! Walking distance of everything and we had beautiful view of times square and its neon beauty. The rooms were surprisingly well sound proof too! The rooms are very small as a forewarning. They do come with a fridge and coffee maker and the ice machine is only on floor 7 where front desk is. Bed was quite comfortable and watching the sunset on the roof was amazing. Staff are not friendly but are professional and willing to assist after a nudge. Parking available across the street and it takes quite some time to retrieve your car so plan accordingly. Overall a nice place to stay in the city!

It's a nice hotel, great location if you want to be right in the middle of Times Square, very clean and a fun concept but several design issues. Room was too cold and hard to turn off the ac or lower the temperature. Otherwise a very nice room with free coffee and water. Elevators are way too slow. They definitely need more than 4. Very annoying at the Margarittaville restaurant where there are tons of empty tables but they pretend there's a 20 minute wait probably to make it seem more popular. It actually has the opposite effect and people leave. Also annoying that the rooftop bar closes at 8pm. Otherwise food and drink at the restaurants is great. Staff is friendly and it's a really fun vibe.

This was one of the best New York Times Square hotels that I have stayed in recently. The hotel was very clean, service was great, no wait for elevators to get to the rooms on high floors. The room was very comfy and bright and clean. We loved the rooftop bar which has amazing views and great drinks/food. We stayed in the winter but this hotel would be great in the summer with its rooftop pool and Loungers. It was in a great location, very easy to walk anywhere in midtown, lots of shops, theatres and bars and restaurants around. I definitely recommend staying here!

This was the most convenient, friendliest spot ever. Love the endless free water, the gift shop, the ambience. Breakfast was good. Two other options for lunch, dinner or snack. Close to Times Square and subway. Would definitely stay here again. They hold you luggage if your transportation is hours after checkout or if you arrive early.

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Resort Times Square with a friend. While the hotel itself is nice and the rooms are comfortable, I’m compelled to share my appalling experience that may affect your stay — and your wallet.||Upon checkout, I was told that the $500 charge on my credit card was only a hold for incidentals. Weeks later, that amount appeared as a finalized charge. I called the hotel and was informed it was due to a smoking violation. The issue? Neither I nor my friend smoke.||The manager, Michael Louie, claimed the hotel uses silent smoke detection sensors, so we wouldn’t have known they were triggered — and we were never notified about any issue during our stay. When I followed up multiple times, Mr. Louie was conveniently always “in a meeting” or “not in yet.” One concierge even placed me on hold repeatedly without ever acknowledging the call.||I disputed the charge with my credit card company, but they couldn’t assist because the hotel submitted a report. I was given no opportunity to respond to this accusation in real-time, and there was zero communication from hotel staff during my stay about any air quality concern. Noone came to confirm there was a smoking violation or notified us of the occurence.||When I emailed Margaritaville, a senior manager, Valentyna Muravyk, sent me a report stating that air quality in the room was “Hazardous,” with PM 2.5 readings of 1110.3 (normal is 1–20) and PM 10.0 at 1150.4 (normal is 1–26). Oddly, if air quality was truly that dangerous, the hotel never checked on our well-being. Instead, they waited to charge me afterward with no conversation. ||Even more concerning: the report states the AQI “aligns with patterns TYPICALLY associated with smoking activities such as marijuana, tobacco, vaporizers, e-cigarettes, or other similar products” — meaning their system is not definitive. When I requested further details about the sensor model (left blank on the report), placement, and maintenance, I received no response despite multiple follow-ups.||This was my second stay at the hotel. In 2022, I had to evacuate down more than 20 floors due to a fire alarm that turned out to be false. A guest the next day mentioned this happens frequently. In hindsight, that should’ve been a red flag.||I’ve spent hours trying to get this resolved — with little to no accountability from the hotel. If you choose to stay here, be aware of the risk of surprise charges and the lack of guest support when issues arise. ||Margaritaville may offer a beautiful aesthetic, but in my experience, it lacks integrity and transparency. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere to avoid the stress and hassle.

The positives: the hotel is a few minutes walk to the Times Square and only few steps away from subway. Its central location makes easy to explore many of New York’s attraction on foot. The bed is comfortable, the housekeeping is good. One of the housekeepers threw away my son’s souvenir bottle which the hotel manager compensated with one of hotel’s souvenirs- we appreciated. Hotel’s restaurant was also fine for a quick breakfast or dinner if no wish to walk outside. The hotel has a small swimming pool which could be quite useful during hot afternoons. |The negatives: the queen room is tiny and has very basic amenities; the elevators are very busy and not many for a huge building. Finally, the room rate is high for what it offers.

This hotel has falsely accused my family of smoking in their room. We are a family with a 9 year old - one adult has extreme asthma. We have never ever smoked. They claim they have "detectors" in their rooms that told them someone in our room was smoking. Hot steamy showers? A steam iron? Zero help from management and now we are looking at a $500+ fee for smoking - when we have never smoked in our lives. No help! Avoid this hotel. Suspicious charges and clearly faulty system of detecting smoking.

Margaritaville is hands down one of the best overnight options in NYC, especially near Times Square. This place opened just a few years ago and feels very new and clean. The beds are comfortable, and the pillows are soft and good. The rooms are NYC small, but it's not much smaller than any other place in the city. If you need a work station, you will need to plan to work in tight corridors. With that said, what really stands out about Margaritaville is the service. Near every personnel encountered is cheerful, kind, and helpful. Need a wake up call? No problem. Have questions? Responses with a smile. Have a room issue? Quickly handled and with care. One night, I had a medical emergency and the personnel that assisted me were so attentive and supportive. I was truly blown away how above and beyond they went. Some standouts whose names I caught included Breeana (I'm hopefully spelling this right) in security and Abhishek at the front desk. The one downside, which is not uncommon for NYC hotels, is that there are three elevators and 31 floors, and they can really slow down your entry/exit experience during certain rush hours. Around 5pm each evening, there is usually a line to wait for the elevators. Based on some difficulties during peak dinner times, I would recommend trying to stay on a lower floor. The views are beautiful, the rooms are clean and extremely quiet (you can hear limited muffled noise from the hall and that's it), and there are some fun amenities including access to a deck-side pool, a rooftop bar, and a fun restaurant with a giant Lady Liberty statue at the center. This Lady Liberty actually holds a (margarita) glass that provides a cool light/visual show periodically. Margaritaville provides a fun experience balanced with comfort, cleanliness, quiet, and excellent service - all while providing easy access to Times Square for those that want or need to stay nearby. Highly recommended for the area!

I only went once but I had a good time I expect more of a resort feel but I didn't get that but I enjoy the atmosphere..

Stayed here as it is close to Broadway and we are going to see Six tonight. Brought our fancy outfits so that we could get all dressed up for the Show ... and there are no irons in the room - or the hotel. Wouldn't care if we weren't going to a Show and then a nice dinner afterwards - but the fact that I don't even have the choice to iron our clothes is super annoying. An iron is a basic "amenity" that this place is missing.

It truly pains me to leave negative reviews, about one specific incident that could easily have been resolved but was not. We just returned from our stay to find that I was overcharged a bogus $500! Did I trash the room? Absolutely not and I received my $300 security deposit back. But apparently their innovative yet factually lacking alleged "AI technology" accused my tween daughters and I of smoking in our tiny 200 sq ft room. And to add to this, their "report" shows this vile incident took place only one time yet they never confronted us about this alleged violation but instead automatically billed me $500! As a point of reference If someone *did dare to smoke in the little box of a room we stayed in for 5 nights, one most certainly would have set off fire detectors!!! I explained that we are not nicotine users but the young female manager on duty could care less. How the heck are they going to survive without overcharging their guests? So I guess now I ll just have to fight to get my hard earned money back and live with the regrets of choosing this hotel over the myriad of others where we have stayed never ever once in 25 plus years, getting a penalty, esp a hefty $500 one with absolutely no fault and no recourse. Management and ownership are disappointing. So unless you like hidden fees, I would suggest to stay at the Marriott down the street or anywhere but there.

The room we had was EXTREMELY small. A narrow closet that only fit 4 hangers. There was no room to open our suitcases at all. The elevators are slow and often full, so we waited for a long time every time. The price was exorbitant for what we received. The staff was friendly and the room was clean.

I booked two nights at the hotel in order to attend a graduation ceremony in NYC. The location was convenient to Broadway shows, The Port Authority Bus Terminal and subway stations. The rooms were stylish, clean and very functional. They were a little small, but that was something I could overlook because they were comfortable. The windows also opened to allow in spring breezes and typical city noise. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Sadly, we did not have time to enjoy the pool or rooftop bar. The rainy weather also did not help to encourage this. Maybe next time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book this hotel again.

This place is really awesome always come here to hang with colleagues and friends. Always a good time. Bartenders are so on point and hospitable! Some guy name Jared is the best in there!

I've been to NYC many times, but have always been scared to stay overnight. While pricey, you get what you pay for sometimes and I freaking loved this place! For NYC, the room was immaculate and just the right size for two people. We were treated so well by every employee. Even though it's right in the middle of Times Square, security was tight and you had to have a guest key to get on the elevator and could only get off on your floor. The only thing that was odd was the shower with no door. We also were bummed when we tried to eat at the restaurant but were turned away due to a private event. It was the only time we could go during our stay and I'm bummed we didn't get to eat there. I will be back and I would love to try other locations.

Ambiance is great. However it didn't end well. The agents and manager , Valentina refused to give me a late check when I was told it wouldn't be a problem. So I noticed they give late check outs to people who look a "certain" way . Very disappointing I have been to this hotel twice but very disheartening that I was discriminated against. I hope they get better training and change.

My wife and I stayed here over a long weekend jammed packed with shows. That said, being serious Parrotheads, we DID make a serious effort to partake in everything possible at the location - will review the various bars/restaurants later, this one is all about the hotel and rooms. First off - the staff simply rocks. Every single person we interacted with - from entering with our luggage to checking in to said bar/restaurant staff, every single one of them put on an incredible act of being damned happy to be of service. The rooms are....well, NYC rooms - which means calling them postage stamp sized would be quite generous. That said, they were comfortable, and more importantly, quiet - in NY, this hails as a true miracle. The only real downside of our stay was the awesome pool that is constantly being advertised ("the only times square hotel with a pool" is a consistent theme). Of note - it's NOT a swimming pool for 99.99999% of the day - it's a drinking pool. So if you want to actually do laps, get there at 7:30am and beg the staff/guard to let you in for 1/2 of swimming...and hope that you are the only swimmer - at 6'/2m wide, that's pretty much all the pool can manage. Whether you're a Parrothead or not, you will enjoy this location - we certainly did!

Booked online, and when I went to check out/confirm...and later got my email confirmation with total charges...more than $100 a NIGHT in hotel surcharges! Not even listed in the total when confirming and giving my CC info. I canceled. A lot of hotels pull this nonsense, but they hit you with additional charges BEFORE you make the reservation. A pretty disgusting business practice, and obscenely high surcharge, $100 A DAY??!

Do not stay here. I had booked a reservation months ahead of time. When I showed up to the hotel the front desk was unable to find my reservation. I'm 50 years old and have stayed in numerous hotels. This has never happened before. The manager who looked like a Eastern European female was extremely rude as well. There' are other hotels in the area for the same room rate with employees who actually care about customers. Avoid this place.

There's an awful lot to like in this hotel. The location on the southern tip of Times Square is convenient to a lot of things and just removed from the full-on crush a couple of blocks up. There's easy subway access right across the street. The giant blue flip-flop just inside the lobby sets the tone for a stay here immediately. The staff are all great and helpful, especially the check-in folks and the guys manning the rooftop indoor/outdoor bar. I really loved the rooms. I got a premium room, which is a little larger than the standard (though still pretty compact) and located on a higher floor. The city views from the huge windows are mesmerizing, especially at night. There is so much detail and thought behind the decor and design. I was obsessed with the whale-tail faucet handles, but other touches abound -- leather luggage straps as pull-handles on the drawers, beach-like shutters forming the headboard, bright tropical turquoise doors... so much fun, plus the beds are the perfect combination of firm and squishy. The offer a great sleep. Only a couple of things found wanting here -- the food options (Margaritaville restaurant and Land Shark) are perfectly fine, but not very exciting. Also, they really need to rethink the elevator situation, because they are a cluster. There are four to service the entire hotel. They are used by overnight guests and restaurant patrons, as well as staff to move carts, etc. around. The lobby is on the 7th floor and there are restaurants and bars ranging from the second floor to the roof, so it is simply too many people doing too many different things all packing into elevator cars that can't handle the volume. But overall, the vibe is a winner -- like a Caribbean vacation with Times Square right outside the door, literally. I will most likely stay again in the future due to the staff, the room decor, and the fun spirit of the place.

Great Locatinn for Time Square. Check in was fine, though the receiption desk is right next to the bar, and it was very loud and difficult to hear. The room was clean but tiny. Smallest room I have ever had. Basically there was a king bed, and foot or so on three sides to walk around.. TV was large. I rented two rooms for 4 nights and it cost over 5K. My employee was givcen a view of time square with a corner room. I was given a room on the other side ofthe hotel and I had a view of the roofs of other buildings :( There are 4 elevators, but not sure how many work. I literally spent 5+ minutes waiting for an elevator. Bring something to read ! The Perks Program is a joke.. When booking the room, the reservation specialist bragged about all the benifits of this program and offered to enrole me at that point. So I agreed and signed up. A lengthy list of offerings sounded amazing but was only an offer w no follow through. I asked f or a room upgrade, but was denied. I asked for swag but was denied. They said the only things available a glass of wine or late checkout which I needed neither. After sending corporate an email showing my dissatisfaction with the Perks Program, they offered a swag. Kinda dissapointing that I had to go through the hoops. Will not return.

BEWARE!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! I was charged bogus fees of $500 for smoking when NO ONE in my family smokes. They claim they have detectors that sense if you are smoking, but they must have malfunctioned because it was definitely NOT coming from our room. They also charged me fees from their breakfast area, which I never even stepped foot in or ordered anything to be charged to my room from the breakfast bar. I spoke to the manager and she was less than willing to accommodate me with a refund and was not listening to anything I had to say, just continued to accuse me of smoking in the room!! What a joke!!!! This is a deceptive trade practice and I will be reporting this to every consumer protection agency. I don't know how they can get away with such exorbitant false charges. This occurred on Dec. 23rd and I saw a review where someone else was charged the same amount for smoking on the same day and they don't smoke either!! Unbelievable!!!!!

The good: - The views were incredible, so much so that I don't think a bad view is possible - The location is amazing. Exactly where you would want to be. - The hotel is newer, so it is pretty clean and doesn't need updating. Nothing is run down. - Nice room decor - It's quiet. We would hear people in the hallway, but nothing to where we were annoyed - The Margaritaville restaurant is right there and always fun. The bad: - The rooms are TINY. I know it's the city, but it felt like I was staying in a closet. - The prices compared to room size do not equate. I know the location is pricey, but I've stayed at other nearby with larger rooms at comparable rates. - The fees. It is crazy how you can get charged these "fees" for made up reasons. Be ready to pay over $50 a day in fees per night.

The staff members were friendly and helpful. The room we had was suuuper small and it didn't even have anywhere to put our luggage, just a narrow spot with a few hangers. The fitness room is also extremely small and super hard to find. They have this system where you and leave your tip for a room service online, but when you decide to do so, there's not only a fee to submit it but also the minimum is $3. I know tipping is out of control in the US, but this is not fun.

Came out for lunch with my coworkers as we heard they may be closing. Sat fairly quickly since it wasn't crowded around 12:30 on a week day. Larry the server was pleasant and took the orders. He seemed to have knowledge of the menu. The atmosphere was ok as the lady was walking around asking tourists if they wanted pics. Food came out and both my coworkers ordered Wagyu Stir-fry and I ordered the Seafood Trio. We all thought it tasted good and really no complaints about the food. It was priced reasonable and really don't have anything negative to say other than we will be sad if it closes so soon after it took so long to open. Hope you guys stay around.

Omg, where do I begin. Not only is it an amazing place to have drinks and bar bites, but Alberto from the bar IS AMAZING !! a must try. Amazing views and great atmosphere!!!! LOVE IT !!!!!!

This hotel is nearly perfect. Let me break down everything! Arrival: It is very easy to walk past this hotel if you are on the same side of the street as the hotel since it only has a marquee facing the other side of the street. Once you do find the hotel you have to take the elevator to the 7th floor to check in. Lobby: Lobby is incredibly beautiful! Honestly a great view from the hotel too! There is a bar in the lobby and I highly recommend checking it out. The only downside is this bar closes at 9pm. Room: The room is perfect! Floor to ceiling windows that provide endless sunlight. A steamer, free water, and so many other amenities. It also has a doorbell and buttons that can be used to alert housekeeping when to have your room serviced and when to give you privacy. Restaurants/Bars/Pool: All of the restaurants are unique and offer different vibes/views at each one. The pool looks awesome however it also looks difficult to run out of the pool when it's 40 degrees outside. So I didn't utilize the pool while here. Biggest areas of improvement: The elevators. Legitimately you will sometimes wait 20 minutes for an elevator and other times only 5. It's so hard sometimes and honestly was very annoying. Staff: Even though we had elevator problems I really enjoyed the staff! To start Cierra was incredible at the front desk! She was incredibly helpful with all the questions we had. Courtney created such a fun energy at the License to Chill bar! Jen was so much fun to talk with upstairs at the 5 o'clock Somewhere bar. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's nearly perfect. The only problem is the elevators. Also if you come on thanksgiving, you can watch the balloons get deflated in front of the hotel.

Absolutely amazing! We didn't stay (we should have) we visited the restaurant 3 times in 6 days. I am a huge margaritaville and Jimmy Buffett van! Thanks to all the wonderful staff and fantastic food and drink. You never disappoint! Just got home to the UK this morning. I will be dreaming of margaritaville until I go to Orlando in December. It will be the first place I visit!

Wow! I never book hotels in NYC because my son lives in Brooklyn. I took my mother to the city for her first time ever visiting. She's really a beach girl and not fond of cities, so we wanted to make her Mother's Day weekend special and thought staying at Margaritaville would bring a beach vibe to the bustling city. Margaritaville did not disappoint. She loved it!!! My son and daughter inlaw had never been inside the hotel as local residents and they loved it! The staff is so friendly and incredibly helpful. From the moment you step out of your Uber, cab, or walk up, you are treated special. The front desk, bartenders, and all staff are top notch! Detail, detail, detail. Nothing was skipped when designing and keeping the hotel accurate with a beach stay. Loved the hurricane shutters on the walls in the rooms. The fin faucets, the colors-AMAZING! We loved the rooftop bar and especially loved our bartender at the bar located near the front desk! She was professional and super friendly. Well done! We can't wait to return!!!!

I had chosen this hotel because of its four star rating and I thought it would be a wonderful experience. however, I was very wrong. first started the text messages and phone calls saying that they did not accept my card and I needed to get there immediately with a new card. I arrived promptly. I was given a perk of early check-in, but they did not honor it. I gave the bellhop a tip to take my bags to the room. He took the tip, but did not put the bags in my room. they told me they would call me when the room was ready. they never called. I was injured while there and the chief of security told me it was my fault and we had to ask other people for a bag of ice. he would not give us his name, but we took a picture of him and his name tag. tried to order room service they do not provide breakfast. I was charged $150 over what my printed receipt showed when I checked out. I travel to Manhattan frequently to go to Broadway shows I stay at the Hilton most times. I thought I would try this place, but I was very disappointed.

Because of it's beautiful room , awesome view and cleanliness you would not be bothered by the small size of it . We have waited for 30 min to get our room ready but they are so kind and gracious to give us all welcome drinks and we even got upgraded.!!! They really know how to satisfy and pleased their customers! I highly recommended this place in Times Square I surely will stay again and recommend it to all my friends and families! 5 stars !!!

Super clean, new, family friendly, and reasonably priced (at least when we went.) The rooms are tiny, which is to be expected in this area. Great location. We walked and took the subway everywhere. Times Square is right up the street & tons of places to eat close by and in the building. There is a Marijuana shop on the same block & on busy days they are out there selling bammer weed from trays. These stores are all over the neighborhood & NEVER once did we feel unsafe. The police presence is EVERYWHERE & there is a station right down the street. This was our first trip to NYC (family of 3) The double sized beds were doable for us. The bathroom had good toiletries (built-in shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash.) We went across the street to Lot Less for sponges, toothpaste, etc. We requested robes and slippers at check in and they were sent up immediately. Our room was cleaned daily. (Beds made, fresh towels, new water bottles, trash removed) I would highly recommend for its location and price point. As a family, we would stay here again. As a couple, we would probably do something more low key.

Possibly the cleanest NYC hotel I have stayed in! Staff was friendly. Whole room was on the smaller side, I did not mind having to store my life on the floor due to cleanliness. Little shop to get breakfast and coffee had a nice selection too.

We booked our hotel stay in Feb. 2024 for a pre-cruise hotel through Expedia. This was a birthday celebration so we were looking forward to a lively atmosphere. Two days before departure I received an email that my booking was canceled and to reach out to Expedia to get rebooked at another hotel. I called Margaritaville and spoke with front desk whom stated the booking was still in place but told me to call reservations. I spoke to Troy in reservations and he was abrupt and stated YES I would be canceled due to the hotel overbooking and to reach out to Expedia. I did reach out in a panic to Expedia who also called Troy in reservations and was told we were canceled. Thank goodness Expedia rebooked us a hotel at Knickerbocker a 5 star resort and paid the difference for our trouble. Sigh of relief but disappointed non the less because we had looked forward to staying at Margaritaville Resort. Thinking this was the end of the nightmare I was surprised to keep receiving confirmations from Margaritaville. I was concerned I may be charged and called them AGAIN the night before leaving for NYC and was told we were still booked and would be charged. I called Expedia and they called the resort and FINALLY got the charges dropped from my credit card. I feel like this trip could have went all kinds of wrong if Expedia did not resolve this issue for me. I will NEVER book at any Margaritaville resort and go through this again. On a brighter note Knickerbocker hotel was fabulous and treated us extremely well!!! We had a fantastic trip.

This seems like a new place in the NYC. It's clean, got great staff and restaurant and the food. The service is pretty good. People are nice and courteous. Housekeeping was nice. Thouroughly cleaned and follow precautions for COVID. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 stars is bcuz of the way it's advertised. It says great city views/city view but in fact got views of next building apartment/ backyard.

Super cute & newer hotel near Times Square. The rooms are small (I know it's NY, but I've stayed in larger rooms in the Times Square area.) They're cute, comfortable, and clean. They are NOT quiet...you can literally hear every horn, every police car, every yell etc from outside. You can also hear every tourist on your hall. The hotel advertises itself as a "resort" and charges an extra $50ish dollars per night as a RESORT FEE not sure why....there are no amenities. The pool is tiny and is right beside the bar, so the bar patrons just stare at you while they eat/drink. It's nice to have the restaurants in the hotel, but those are also open to the public....SO that makes 300ish hotel rooms, PLUS all the NON-hotel guest fight for 3 elevators. (Le sigh) At check-in they jokingly say that their elevators run on "Island time." Cute way of saying they're slow and can't accommodate the guests/restaurant/bat patrons. Overall, it's ok. I did feel safe and comfortable in my room and I'd consider staying here again, mainly for the cleanliness, light colored/modern decor, and overall casual-ness of the hotel.

Love the roof top but beware drinks or EXPENSIVE definitely a place you just go to cause you staying in the hotel and don't wanna go outside or you're just looking for somewhere different. I also had some food and it was okay I would have to try the food again since I got there last minute so it was closing time but drinks are expensive but they hit !!!

This hotel is nearly new, is located directly adjacent to Times Square, is nicely appointed and we enjoyed our stay here. The room was quiet with no noise from nearby rooms or from the street out front. There are plenty of on-site amenities from the rooftop bar and restaurant to the main Margaritaville restaurant, shops and bars. WiFi was free and fast, rooms are equipped with Keurig coffee makers and refrigerators and the bed and linens were very warm and comfortable. The rooms are modern looking, bright and cheery with an island theme and ceiling fans. Staff were all courteous, outgoing and helpful. That said, there are a few critical comments: -This hotel is 32 stories tall with a few hundred guest rooms and multiple bars, restaurants and shops that are open to the public, yet there are only 3 (yes only three!) smallish elevators to service all those people accessing the entire building, and those same elevators also act as service lifts for the staff, restaurant and bar crew, cleaners, etc. As other reviewers have mentioned, it can take upwards of 20 minutes or longer to get from the ground floor to your room even at slower times (the lobby and 'front desk' are located on the 7th floor and are only accessible via those same 3 elevators as well). The lack of elevators is definitely this hotel's biggest achilles heel and I'm guessing it's a source of constant complaints, as there's a sign at the front desk advising patrons that the elevators run on 'island time' and encouraging guests to plan ahead and allow ample time during peak usage. How this apparent oversight is possible in a brand new, freshly designed building is beyond me. - Our shower was very difficult to regulate. One day it was only cold water, the next it'd be only hot, regardless of how or where we moved the handle. At other times the water would shut off completely for several seconds at a time then burst back on again, repeatedly. - The bathroom had no fan to remove steam from the shower, or odor when using the toilet. - Rooms are a bit small and cramped, even for just 2 people, but this NYC. - Again, because this is NYC, taxes and fees are outrageous. We stayed for 3 nights and paid about $180/night for the room. With taxes, fees, resort fees and the like, our total cost for 3 nights was almost $950. - We went to fill the ice bucket. No ice machines on our floor. We never found the ice machine during our entire stay. According to another review, the only ice machine is on the 7th floor, but there was no signage in our room or near the ice bucket to indicate that. Not worth a 30 minute elevator ride to the 7th floor "lobby" to get a bucket of ice. - Though we didn't hear a peep from nearby rooms or the street, several times we were awakened early by people chatting in the hallway outside our room. Same when the cleaning staff would vacuum the hallway. I give this hotel 4 stars for this particular trip because we got a great rate through one of the better hotel booking sites. Had I paid the full-price rate that was listed on this hotel's website for that same stay, I'd have expected more and my rating would most likely have been lower.

It was a good experience for me. For the most part, the elevators weren't a problem. I had a room with two dbl. beds and so the room was very adequate, not too small at all. The bathroom was very large and comfortable. All was good.

I want to say it was less than ok but the location saves them. The room was so small it wasn't even worth it! And it's SUPPOSED to be a resort, but why!? To be able to charge an additional $50+ a day!? The fees were a true ripoff honestly...this is a NO for next time.

As a hotel I loved the vibe of this place. A few things to note - the windows do NOT block the noise like they say. The location is Times Square but you feel like your in a hotel in FL with the exception of the room sizes. Think FL resort just tall and shrink down.

Yaaaaassss POOL! I love a good vibe and this place has it. I booked this place thru a third party website to have access to the pool and am loving that it's beautiful and new. The food was massive! I got the nachos which was enough for 3. The drink "it's five o'clock somewhere" was powerful! I hope the guests don't mess it up as while we were there yesterday some was smoking from their hotel room window and threw the cigarette out down to the pool deck. I also saw a burn in the seat of a lounge chair which I'm sure was from the same thing. A getaway right in the middle of Manhattan. Lady, Mo'Nique and Carolyn were all very nice and inquisitive as to if we were enjoying ourselves. I liked their concern. The only feed back I had was the music. It's like a banjo type feel and didn't match with 1. It's being nyc and 2. The videos in the elevator show ppl dancing have fun. The music was boring, too low to hear and definitely could have killed our fun. But we did not let it. You can not go wrong if you need some down time. I booked the pool thru resort pass but I did find out you have access to swimming if you're a guest of the hotel which is usually not how nyc hotel pools are run. Looking forward to any events they have during the year.

A gem in Times Square. Another review here noted that it felt like a Florida getaway in NYC and that is incredibly accurate. This place is pretty great. The staff is kind and attentive. The rooftop bar is excellent and above all else the room is comfy and CLEAN! Now, the room isn't terribly large. It's still New York. As a solo traveler though it was perfect. Great planned space in the room. Would stay here again and again

I was warned not to stay here by my employees but decided to after reading positive reviews. The front desk couldn't find my reservation with the confirmation number that was emailed to me. They didn't seem to care either. The room was extremely tiny and felt like I was in a cruise ship. The food here was pretty average. They had good margaritas as well. I will not be returning due to the lack of professionalism. I hope the staff gets replaced by people who care about this hotel chain.

First, they lost our reservation, even though we had a confirmation. Then the 7th floor bar was closed. There weren't even room service margs! Also the elevators operate on "island time" it says everywhere...aka get ready to wait in a 20-30 minute line for an elevator. We popped into the restaurant and the service was terrible, took 15 minutes before someone came over to take our orders. Room was fine, a little small but okay, but the beds were hella small. Giving 2 stars because we liked the flip flop in the lobby. Also, pro tip... The 5 o'clock somewhere bar is not open when you think it is. It's only open at night so they really don't mean 5 o'clock somewhere, they just mean 5 in NYC.

Estoy de visita aqui en New York y mi familia quizo visitar estè lugar y tengo que decir que me gusto el serviciò y la comida (fish tacos) que fue lo que yo me comi; estuvieròn muy ricos :) tenian mucho sabor :p al principiö pense: van a estàr los tacos bien pedorros y màs secos que mi trasero (jajaja) pero vaya sorpresa que me lleve :) me trage todooo! :) mucho sabor y llenan bien ya que eran 3 tacos en la foto solo sale uno porque ya me habia chingado los otros.:))

The place is fancy but man do they do the bare minimum for the room. Hard bed to sleep on, an a/c that turns off randomly in the middle of the night to leave you baking in NY heat, and a bathroom with no ridges for the shower - I asked for a bathroom not a wading pool. The entire bathroom becomes a puddle, and the curtain fell down with a towel on it because it's that crappy extending pole model, not an actual installation. At least the drinks were strong...

Good hotel, but would stay elsewhere next time. Hotel was nice We couldn't eat pancakes the machine was broken!!!!! Guest services to told us it will be Security Deposit of $100 on hold and will receive it back within 7to 10 business days. Never GOT IT ITS AUGUST 10th. Never go back again they will steal your money!!!

My daughter and I stayed at this resort last week and it was awesome. We loved everything about it. The location was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The resort was clean. The room was beautiful with a great view of the city. We had a great afternoon at the pool. We ate poolside and also had room service during our stay and enjoyed both. The only negative thing I could say about the property is that it's hard to get an elevator during certain times of day. We were warned that the elevators run on island time at check-in so we knew to expect it and it wasn't a big deal to us but there were people grumbling about it. I would recommend Margaritaville and will definitely be back.

Hotel was beautiful. We felt like we were on vacation in the Florida Keys. Loved how the room was decorated especially the cute whale tail faucets in the bathroom. Everything was spotless and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The young woman at the front desk even accompanied us to elevator. Would definately recommend.

We decided to check it out for a night. Right when you walk in you are greeted by staff with a friendly and positive attitude. Check in was easy and staff was great. The room is clean and comfortable. 6 different places to eat and drink right in the resort. Didn't matter where we were, the staff was amazing. The food is great. We cannot wait to go back.

They don't do housekeeping. Our garbage piled up and smelled and we couldn't get it emptied. Staff were rude and unfriendly. It just wasn't a fun or friendly hotel. Don't stay here.

The staff is soooooo friendly and welcoming! Unfortunately, a pipe burst in the bathroom on our first night at 3 o'clock in the morning. But they moved us to another room and even helped us move. Special shout out to the wonderful lady named Miracle who helped us. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. And the sound insulation was great. I could not hear anybody. Fantastic location in the middle of everything.

Great hotel in a great location. I took my nephew to NYC for his birthday, and we both loved this place. It is clean and the staff is friendly. Rooms are a tad small, but it's NYC. I paid a little more for a King Premier room and it was worth it. More windows and a bigger room and bed. Bed was comfy. My friend got a standard and it was tiny, but still nice. Only downsides are slow elevators and the tiny spot for the toilet (at 5'8" my knees barely fit between the wall and the toilet and I banged my head when I stood up). We also had a couple next to us the first night who got into a domestic dispute in the middle of the night (screaming and cussing) but security came right up and put a stop to it. All in all, we loved our stay!!
