Margot Bar & Bistro serves fresh American eats and natural wines in a chic South Beach spot with retro vibes and a sunny patio.
"Unlike their Downtown location, which is more of a bar, Margot’s South Beach spot is a restaurant. They have a full menu, albeit slightly all over the place, with dishes like a cheeseburger, falafel, and chicken parm. Chaotic, but tasty. Even though this space is larger than their sister restaurant (with an outdoor patio too), they still have the same pink tableware, pink walls, and purplish lighting. It screams disco, but there’s less groovy dancing and more lounging while sipping natural wine." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo
"The team behind Broken Shaker has expanded their natural wine spot Margot to South Beach’s Flamingo Towers. The new space serves a seasonal American menu featuring coconut-laced ceviche with aji amarillo, butterflied branzino with heart-of-palm chimichurri, and house-ground falafel with labneh and pickles. Bar Lab’s bar expertise is on full display through cocktails like the Flamingo Mojito and Fermented Pimm’s Cup, while a dedicated wine shop and takeout menu cater to locals. A dedicated wine shop caters to locals, while a 20-seat patio offers alfresco dining." - Olee Fowler, Eater Staff

So it’s ideal for a night when you want to do something fun, but not so fun that you’re left with a pounding headache the next morning. Food Rundown photo credit: Margot Bar & Bistro Hamachi Crudo We would like to buy several jars of the coconut aji amarillo sauce the hamachi crudo lays on. Sadly, that’s not an option, so just order this to start. photo credit: Margot Bar & Bistro Mushrooms & Tahini This fluffy tahini dip is outstanding. But the herb butter toasted sourdough it should come with (for free) is an extra $3. photo credit: Margot Bar & Bistro Hand Cut Steak Tartare At first glance, it looks like the circular tartare you’d get at a bistro in Paris. But what’s missing are the sharp flavors from the mustard and Worcestershire. Skip this. photo credit: Margot Bar & Bistro 'Nduja Spicy Rigatoni You should always be skeptical when a rigatoni claims to be spicy. This one, like 97% of the versions in Miami, isn’t spicy. Thankfully it’s still pretty good. photo credit: Margot Bar & Bistro Butterflied Branzino The branzino is made with a chunky hearts of palm salsa verde that should be mopped up with any bread you ordered for the aforementioned tahini." - Mariana Trabanino
"South Beach newcomer Margot Bar & Bistro’s happy hour runs Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a Mediterranean-leaning menu of $8 bites like green falafel and fried calamari. The $10 cocktail list includes the Chain of Fools with Gray Whale gin and Lo-Fi amaro, wine pours are $9 and Miller High Life is just $4." - Eater Staff
"Margot Bar & Bistro, opened by Bar Lab, is the second location of its popular Downtown Miami spot, Margot Wine Bar, now at Flamingo Towers in South Beach. The venue features a menu focusing on American cuisine with seasonal flavors, including dishes like ceviche, steak tartare, and branzino. It offers a cocktail menu with Bar Lab’s unique take on classics, a selection of premium spirits, traditional and natural wines, and low-ABV options. The design combines ‘70s Scandinavian vibes with ‘80s Italian flair, featuring warm sunset tones and minimalist furniture. Margot is open daily for lunch and dinner at Flamingo Towers." - Olee Fowler
