The 14 Best Restaurants With Gluten Free Food In SF

"This small Ferry Building outpost (with a bigger location in Oakland) is the place for gluten-free breads, pastries, and desserts that don’t taste like they’ve had their entire life sucked out of them. Choose from a daily mix of croissants, cupcakes, and take-and-bake pizza crust (and much, much more). For something savory, grab one of their 11 (also gluten-free) sandwiches to eat as you watch the ferries go by. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

Where to Buy Gluten-Free and Vegan Cakes, Cookies, and More in San Francisco | Eater SF

"This Ferry Building business is entirely gluten-free, but not all the items are vegan. A few that fit the bill of being both include the Viennese tea cookies, banana muffins, penguinos, baguettes, challah, and more, depending on the season. The business’ website has a feature to filter out various allergens, which is super handy." - Dianne de Guzman

Some of the best gluten free food I’ve had in the 5 years I’ve been gluten free! The biscuit was flaky and buttery and the cinnamon roll was to die for! My mom (who is not gluten free) said she never would have known her sandwich was gluten free! Went both mornings of our trip because it was so good!

In the Ferry building. Good baked foods. Went for gf hotdog buns but they only make them on Saturdays. Got a ham and cheese pocket... though it was a bit burnt in places... yummy. I loved it. All Gluten free there!! Worth getting there in my opinion.

We had taken the ferry from Vallejo to SF and our initial plan was to have breakfast in the Ferry Building, there were plenty of coffee serving establishments, but not many that served breakfast meals, although fortunately we found this spot. Friendly service, as well as being both quick and efficient. They had many pastries to choose from, as well as having some breakfast sandwich options as well. We both went with the Bacon & Egg sandwich, for me personally, it was the chipotle mayo that piqued my interest. They were limited on seating, considering the large amount of foot traffic there can be. So, we decided to casually eat in front of the Ferry Building, enjoying our breakfast, and admiring the view. If you want a quick breakfast meal, I'd recommend checking this place out, I regret not getting at least one pastry, best you do not make the same mistake.

We got the Everything bagel with cream cheese and the Savory cheese and almond Scone. Both were super soft and tasted out of this world. THE MENU IS ALL GLUTEN FREE. Definitely coming back here again.

Great place to fine delicious baked goods. It’s in the ferry building on the Embarcadero. I came for a vegan cake and found what I was looking for. Mocha Chocolate Layer Cake ($48.00). 3-layer 6" chocolate mocha cake is frosted with our vegan, whipped espresso frosting. Friendly and quick service.

We plan a stop at Mariposa every time we visit the bay area. The sandwiches and hand pies are great! The pain au chocolat is my favorite treat, so I placed an order shipped to the house. It was so well packaged! A couple of shortbread cookies were broken, but they're so delicate I am shocked there weren't more damaged in transit.

I've been trying to find a GF (gluten free) option for my family as they recently developed an allergy to gluten... - this was definitely it!! They have selections from freshly baked sandwich bread, baguette, cake, cupcakes, sweets, etc. BUT they also have breakfast and lunch menu that are to die for. I recently tried their B.L.A.T (bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich) I AM HOOKED! ⭐️
