Market Tavern Review - Fairfax - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"We’d probably choose an afternoon at the DMV over dealing with parking at the Grove, but the burger at Market Tavern might warrant a visit. The British pub’s menu is loosely British-themed, and we are of the belief that their “British Invasion Burger” should just be called “The Very Good Pub-style Burger.” This patty is thick and so juicy that things will definitely get drippy and require sleeves to be rolled up. We’re big fans of the glossy, nicely toasted buns, thinly chopped lettuce, and super crunchy pickles." - Sylvio Martins

Wow on the lighting - much better! We came here for lunch. We ordered the artichoke, the corn, and the Marguerite pizza. To complement our drinks. Eye candy and Regular martini. DELICIOUS pairings! Our server was pleasant too. I will reorder that artichoke and corn again. Til our next dine in!

Google
Overpriced for the quality. Lamb chops were burnt, meatballs were dry dry dry. Tasted like overground turkey! The risotto & the spaghetti sauce were pretty good. The mac n cheese was also good. The server was not so welcoming & almost seemed to be avoiding us. When done eating If we’re staring at empty plates, don’t keep walking by and helping everyone but me. Bring me the check.

Google
Foods are some hits some misses, but atmosphere and service is perfect. Appetizers hit better than the mains, wouldn’t rec either the cab burger or stroganoff, but the wings were soooo good and crispy. Sweet like asian chili sauce.

Great little spot. Recommended by locals. Worth the short drive off Hwy 5. Food was great and our server was very friendly and attentive.

Google
There's one thing I look forward to when making my way to Stockton and that is their drinks at this place 🍸 There's an incredible pear one and an espresso martini that's out of the ordinary. Last time I made my way around to the bar and for a moment the bartender ruined the experience but I understand we are all people I didn't let that stop me. If that's ever the case for you give it another try at a booth the drinks and the food are so worth it!

My family took me out for a birthday lunch. We really enjoyed the service and the food. The atmosphere was very nice as well. We will be back

Google
I’ve been coming to market tavern for years and over the last 6 months I’d say had some of the worst service I’ve seen (specifically from the waitresses). The last three visits I’ve made with my family the waitress would forget several things whether it be silverware, coffee cream/sugar and spoon, napkins, soup vs salad; they would never ask for an apology over a mistake they clearly made. They consistently share their work stress with me as the customer and it’s made it uncomfortable that I don’t want to bring my family over anymore. I’ve had terrific experiences here in the past but the several of the senior servers I remember seeing are no longer there. These current servers just need to be reminded of what kind of company they work for because Market Tavern used to consistently deliver on brand and represent Lincoln Center quite proudly. MT isn’t going to see us for awhile. I hope they can change for the better.

Yelp
Market Tavern is my favorite restaurant to go to for fine dining in Stockton. I love to bring friends and family here for celebrations. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. The ambiance is lovely: friendly and bustling with laughter and activity. The cocktails aren't boring since they has several well thought out ingredients but could be better tasting in general. All of the appetizers and entrees I've tried here have not disappointed. My favorite appetizer is the brussel sprouts. My favorite entrees are the autumn lasagna, the kurobuta pork chop, the braised short ribs and the wild mushroom pizza (it's made with gruyere cheese!!). Their polenta in the pork chop and short ribs entrees is divine! They also used to have some amazing empanadas on the appetizer menu that I hope they bring back. This is a Stockton gem so make reservations ahead of time as it's always busy! Even on a Wednesday evening there was a 1 hour waitlist at 6:30 pm! Please also note there is a steep cake cutting fee if you bring your own cake.

Yelp
Market Tavern was able to accommodate our large party after a mistake at their neighboring restaurant, Papapavlo's. We called less than 30 minutes prior to be seated immediately in their private room on a busy Saturday night. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and polite. Our food was served in a timely manner and everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff was also able to keep our birthday cake in the kitchen until we were finished with our dinner. They kindly took it back after we sang happy birthday and served it to us, plated. I got the braised short ribs with polenta and it was delicious. Other dishes such as the chicken parm and autumn lasagna were hits as well. They also have an interesting mock tail menu that everyone should try. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
Amazing service and the food definitely lived up to the photos on Yelp! The atmosphere is a little darker just a heads up and the music isn't too loud. If you're looking for something more reserved yet social this is your spot. The bar is first come first serve. So if you don't want to wait for the dining area just ask. We waited no more than 5 minutes for our table for as busy as it was. My friend and I started off with the Short Rib Taquitos and they were definitely a great way to start off our meal. The chipotle aioli and the tender short ribs really makes this starter come together. I went ahead and ordered the Chicken Parmesan and substituted the marinara for pesto only. I definitely recommend because I cleared my plate. I'm pretty sure I did the happy dance with every bite. My friend ordered the Skirt Steak ( medium well ) with the two sides it came with, the garlic mash and cauliflower. She really enjoyed it and said it was worth every bite. She even got lucky enough to order a scoop of salted caramel gelato to go. Samantha was our server and was very patient and attentive. Overall, highly recommend and looking forward to coming back. Thank you Market Tavern for the great food and service!

Yelp
4/5 for Stockton, 3/5 overall. Nice spot in Stockton for a date night, but nothing too special. We ordered the Khachapuri (not on the menu!), Skirt Steak (came with grilled broccoli, roasted garlic mash, herbed butter), Rigatoni and Sausage (came with mushrooms, broccoli, tomato cream), and the Pumpkin Tiramisu for dessert. The Khachapuri was FABULOUS, and tasted extremely authentic. Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish of cheese-filled bread with a runny egg in the middle. The dough was very chewy and soft in the best way, the cheese was so rich and the egg was very runny. This was delicious and I would come back just to get this. Highly recommend. I ordered the Skirt Steak medium, however it came out medium well. There was also a hair that was on the steak, which I didn't notice until AFTER the photo was taken and my date noticed it for me.. I didn't want to bother asking the staff to remake it but it was a let down that they overcooked the steak and also left a hair on it. The flavor however was very tasty and the roasted garlic mash was delicious. Even the grilled cauliflower was good. My date ordered the Rigatoni and Sausage and I would say please pass on this. It tasted like something you could definitely make at home with jarred pasta sauce. It was very tart, did not have enough cream and needed more black pepper. There also wasn't enough sausage. For dessert, the server recommeded the Pumpkin Tiramisu since it was a seasonal item. This was very dry, and only had one layer of lady fingers. The pumpkin flavor was good but it just wasn't as moist as more authentic tiramisu I have had. Overall, 3/5, but since we're in Stockton I'm giving it a 4/5. The service was good and the ambiance was nice, however the menu is very limited and I just wasn't very impressed.

Yelp
Sadly there aren't many good restaurants to try in Stockton but as someone who grew up in the area I appreciate what Market Tavern has brought to Lincoln Center. It offers a good diversity of food options on its menu. Seating is usually available without reservations and overall it's a good ambiance. Plus is that they also have a market to the side where you can grab food to go.

Yelp
The beginning of our night was horrible with the hostess being extremely rude. However it got better when we were lucky enough to have Hayden as our waiter. He was very attentive, polite, and made up for the rudeness we experienced. We only came for a drink and we had 2... the espresso martinis were amazing!!! We will be back!

Yelp
This is my second time taking my daughter here and it was good I didn't order a lot just the Caesar salad with chicken which was good, some Pinot Grigio and my daughter ordered the kids burger and fries and she enjoyed it. We also ordered the deviled eggs but I did not like them at all and I didn't know you can go wrong off deviled eggs. Anyway I love the ambiance but our waitress could have been better, her customer service was lacking, I guess she didn't feel like working this day, however, the hostess was a gem my daughter complimented her bracelet and when we were leaving she gave it to her! She was so sweet from the moment we walked in! I want to come back to try different items before I write this place off.

Yelp
I've been a patron of Market Tavern since its' opening date. We enjoy going to the bar and sipping something from their well. We rarely visit the bar because it got so popular that we couldn't find a seat. The Tavern needs to expand. The food is excellent, but when we first visited, my wife found something in her plate. The bar manager came over to us and exchanged the plate immediately. She fired the waitress on the spot. It was a shaky experience to say the least. The food was excellent which kept us returning to eat at the Tavern. Now, I recommend making a reservation because if you drop in, you will not be seated immediately. You'll wait a 1/2 hour or more. Maybe one day I'll drop in.

Yelp
Great experience! Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with choosing food and drinks! This was our first time having dinner here with family. We did not reserve but it wasn't too bad for a Thursday evening! Our lovely waiter recommended the Taquitos for appetizer. It comes w/ 3 so we had 2 orders of those. My mom had ordered the Rigatoni (small) because it comes in two sizes and the small was already a lot for one person! I love the ambiance and the vibe. My family & I had a great experience!

Yelp
TASTEY, or WASTEY??? TOTALLY WASTEY!!!!! Hey Jeffrey, horrible service. The manager had the nerve to say that I couldn't be the center of attention when I had , waited for 56 minutes for my meal, and still never got it. We had to leave without even eating because the manager put five tickets ahead of ours after 56 minutes of sitting at the table Rude and disrespectful people. I got food poisoning there once thinking it was just bad luck. I guess it's time to say goodbye to this place and the manager hopefully we catch the owner over at his other steak place right across so that we can tell them exactly how we were treated.

Yelp
We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday on a weeknight couple weeks ago. The private party room accommodated our group of 30 comfortably. I was impressed with the personalized menu, the food was delicious, and we appreciated the flexibility of bringing our own cake. I enjoyed my Braised Short Ribs, while my husband's chicken entree was huge, although he found it slightly dry. This restaurant has consistently impressed me, celebrated my birthday lunch with friends years ago. It's located in the Lincoln Center plaza, surrounded by charming boutiques and plenty of parking. The amazing service and ambiance made it a truly memorable experience especially for my mother-in-law. I would definitely recommend this restaurant makes it a perfect place for special occasions.

Yelp
This restaurant always makes me feel like I'm am having a special evening. The server for our party of 6 was very attentive (and adorable) and we could tell from the beginning that we were in good hands. We started with a Brussels sprouts appetizer which was Devine and a small chicken pizza with white sauce. The pizza was tasty but a little soggy. My entree was the Beef Stroganoff and it's one of the best I've ever had ... savory with the beef seared. We finished with dessert and the cheesecake was too hard to resist after one bite. I look forward to returning to this establishment.

Yelp
Market Tavern has a good atmosphere and great food. It is a really good place for a date night. My favorite dishes are usually the pasta, but I heard everything is pretty good there. The servers are friendly, although food is a bit of a wait sometimes.

Yelp
Had a bit of a hiccup with the hostess unclear about whether the high tables in the bar area that were vacant and unreserved could seat us! (We had a 10AM reservation!) It was a bit confusing and uncomfortable for her. Yet she was able to accommodate us after stating my wife is a 9er fan..( I had my raider pendant on that may have been the pause in placing us there....lol) We stayed and ate and drank well. Yet I observed the high table to the right of us empty right until we left. I wanted to ask if that was priority seating given I've never known it to be a policy of Market Tavern? Nevertheless - The food was a great experience! Thank you!

Ron J.

Yelp
Had an open table reservation when the hostess seated us she said we had to be done in 30 minutes asked

Yelp
I had friends come in from out of town Saturday. I really wanted to show them "my Stockton". Everyone enjoyed our dinner so much. So delicious! Wait staff was on point. A special Thank You to you!

Yelp
Food is delicious. Service is spot on. Ambiance is delightful. Great menu options one of my favorites is the bacon Mac and cheese and the crispy brussels sprouts. One of my favorite spots in town will not disappoint. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special night out this is the place for you

Yelp
Finally returned to Market Tavern as there aren't too many good options in town so we decided to give it a try again. The dinner was much better both re: food taste and attentive, efficient and fast service. LOVED it! :0) Our FAVs were: Corn Bread, Brussels Sprouts, Elote Corn and Meatballs. Mediocre - Burrata Crostini and Quinoa Salad The Spareribs were horribly dry and rock hard. Don't ever order this. It was also very unappealing. Yuck! We had to send it back and our Waitress was nice enough to remove it from our bill. Thank you for the wonderful food, friendly and efficient staff and the wonderful outdoor dining option! The weather was fabulous that evening! :0)

Yelp
Food tasty, served in a timely manner. Server top notch. Lively dining room. Busy Monday lunchtime. Earplugs helped me with the loud 80's Playlist; my companion loved it.

Yelp
Since moving to El Dorado county I've had a massive hankering for some good Market Tavern menu! Finally made it in and it's been awhile but the menu favorites and service do not disappoint! Highly recommend the seasonal libations, Bloody Mary's, fried chicken sandwich, grilled octopus, beef stroganoff, pot pie, eggs Benny, French toast and prosciutto arugula wood fired pizza. The service is always great, but today Arzu was the bomb (as always, we appreciate you). The ambiance is chill, booths, big bar, some outdoor patio seating, good music.

Yelp
First of all let me say that while o didn't catch her name our waitress was the kindest human. We were in a group of three girls and admittedly we can be very specific with what we want. She was extraordinarily patient and asked questions to make sure we got everything we wanted and needed and brought me extra ranch without me having to ask. Aside from the five star service the food was all top quality and came out exactly as requested. I'm usually very skeptical about getting deviled eggs at restaurants however these were some expertly. They didn't have any of that "eggy" taste. They had a clean and crisp flavor and the filling was well spiced and creamy and the bacon and jalapeño was an excellent addition. The wood fired pizza had a little too much char for my liking but was still well flavored. I will caution that if you're not a huge sausage person that you ask questions because the pepperoni isn't the traditional kind you would expect but they are very good about allowing substitutions. All the drinks were well balanced and not too sweet or strong at all. A perfect girls night meal!

Yelp
Love it. The Market Tavern is one of our Go-To! Places Great Food, Great Service and Wonderful Ambiance. Again, LOVE IT!
google avatar

Odie S.

Yelp
Food was horrible. We got the prosciutto and arugula pizza and it was undercooked and underseasoned. We also got the short rib dish, and it was bland. Our waitress had such a bad attitude from the start of service and throughout. It was such a dissapointing dining experience. I am so confused by the many great reviews. For the price, I would have expected a lot more. Even if the price was a third of what we paid, I would still choose a different restaurant because of how bad it was. Definitely not worth it.

Yelp
We came back because Monday night is Fried chicken night. We arrived around the dinner rush and there was a wait. We asked the hostess if the bar was open and we found two seats together. Sitting at the bar was a nice touch. A wonderful reminder of how much we needed the date night with no 2yo monster. Both bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. They even said the kitchen is running low on the chicken dinner special and asked if we wanted them to set one aside for us. We certainly did. While we waited I had the house old fashioned. Not too much orange and so much smokey vanilla goodness. My wife had some special gin cocktail for the night. The food arrived and everything was perfect. The chicken was crunchy, flavorful, and not greasy. We had mashed potatoes and roasted seasonal vegetables. If you're going to order this dinner make sure you get the honey and house made hot sauce. A truly wonderful experience!
google avatar

Rollin H.

Yelp
I had an early dinner here Every thing I have eaten is worth wait. It's the hot spot for singles and a place for first date. My dish is the short ribs and deviled egg I would get reserved for Friday and Saturday night dining!

Yelp
The atmosphere and Customer Service was great. Went there for Thanksgiving LY an TY. And this TY was not as good as LY and it cost more. LY plate was a mountain of food but not so much TY. Much less. However, I always enjoy the food here.

Yelp
I just ran in to pick up a ready made salad real quick since I was next door. No other intentions even crossed my mind. My husband has seemed to fallen unattracted to me so I've been dieting and tanning over at Planet Beach. ‍ I threw in these cookies, well, just because. Let me just say that when I got in the car and took my first bite of this cookie, sunbeams fell from the heavens above. The second bite I thought I heard cherubs playing on their harps. By the end of the cookie, I realized it was these cookies I've been longing for and needing in my life.....not the man sitting in my home taking up room in my couch. To whom ever created this cookie masterpiece, I'm eternally grateful! Keep them coming!

Yelp
First time here. I've heard much about the place so I was excited to check it out. Clean place, larger than I thought, looks as though they have food ready to go in a cooler for those on the run and not too loud in the bar area which is where we sat. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. We were brought water to start with a carafe to fill our glasses as we needed. Our server, Jasmin, greeted us within minutes. Jasmin clearly knew the menu well and was able to guide us in the right direction with ease. She was very friendly, easy going, obviously an experienced server. Once she passed our table with something for another table and two plates for our appetizer. As she passed she stated something to the point, plates for your appetizer. I loved that. She didn't need to stick around, didn't need to say more. Impressed. Then again she did it again before our main course arrived with a plate of small metal filled cups of condiments (ketchup, blue cheese, etc). Impressed again. The food was great! The chile chicken wings are not spicy, actually very sweet; plenty for two to share, plenty for one for lunch. The hamburger was cooked perfectly. I was starving and barely finished my burger with fries. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken sandwich. We shared the cheesecake for dessert which was really delicious and thick. Here is where the experienced crashed. We finished our appetizer, the wings, as our meal was brought to the table. I purposely said the appetizer plates could be taken. The guy just left the table leaving the dirty app plates in front of us. Mind you, our table wasn't that big to begin with. Nonetheless, the expectation of Market Town is to sit with dirty plates crowding our table in front of us while trying to eat our main course. Epic fail. I bussed the damn table myself by putting dirty plates on a clean table. Wow - in less than a minute they were picked up. Fast forward to dessert time. We ordered the cheese cake and I purposely stated, "these plates can go." They weren't removed. Again...EPIC fail. And again, I bussed the table myself by putting dirty plates on a clean table. Again - quickly picked up. So, you can bus a clean table but not mine. Anyone that knows me knows I won't sit with dirty plates at my table, especially when staff are at the table and able to take them. "Never leave a table with empty hands", "you have time to lean, you have time to clean." Any respectable manager instills this in their staff during orientation. Tip was not the usual 20%, sadly. I come to Stockton twice a month. I look forward to the opportunity to have a better Market Town experience and leave a 5 star review.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visited Market Tavern on Thursday, 2/1/24, to celebrate our first-year anniversary. I easily made a reservation for us on OpenTable. We both decided to order and share the Mt Deviled Eggs. It was delicious per usual. For the entrées, we got the Chicken Parmesan and Rigatoni & Sausage Pasta. Both dishes were flavorful and on point. I paired the food with the Paloma drink. I loved the cocktail. The customer service was friendly but attentiveness was lacking a bit. On top of that, I asked the server if the restaurant offered anything for anniversaries. She indicated that only desserts were offered for birthdays. That comment was disappointing to hear because other restaurants offer something for a special occasion like an anniversary. Overall, Market Tavern remains a solid 4 stars. I would still return here because the food is delicious and the ambiance has a wonderful vibe.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and food here. They never miss. The chicken parm here with the risotto is superb. Highly recommend getting a few pizzas and their appetitizers like the furikake fries and wings. They do get very busy so reserve a spot ahead of time!!

Yelp
This is a really solid spot in the Stockton Lincoln center. This is a slightly fancy spot but nothing too crazy. The inside is very nice and dimly lit. They have fake candles on the tables giving it a more elegant feel. The servers are really nice although they did not come around often. The food is always high quality and they have something for everyone. My dessert was unique and very satisfying.

Yelp
One of the nicer places to grab a bite in one of the best areas in Stockton. The place has plenty of space as there is a large bar area, which looks like a very popular area as it was pretty full on a weekday, a mini market, that has most the food on the menu prepared for take home meals, private dining room, for large parties, and a open dining room with chefs working on your food in the distance. The place is nice and clean. The service was good and friendly. All the food seems good and is consistent every time we have it. The favorite is the pizza. The gordito is like a meat pizza and has great ingredients. The crust was light and crunchy. The pot pie is another favorite. The top on the pot pie was perfect and the whole thing is very flavorful definitely comfort food. The clam chowder is popular as well. It is thick and creamy with the perfect amount of ingredients. The Mary's grilled chicken sandwich was nothing special. A chicken BLT that was not really satisfying, but the fries were good, so that helped. If you wanted to meet in this area. I would recommend this spot.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while and ended up here on Sunday morning. It was packed, so, we ended up sitting at the bar. The staff were amazing in their service! One of the bartenders suggested the Hash for me and it was delicious and very filling. If you don't know about the Griddled Cornbread, you're missing out...it's so good that I get it every time I go and I eat it before I can take a picture, especially with the delicious butter they have! Every time I go, they never disappoint!

Yelp
Our friends and I heralded New Year's Day with lunch at Market Tavern. Located in Lincoln Center, this place is always full so we made sure to make reservations ahead of time. Even with a reservation, there was still a 10 minute wait to be seated. We have been to Market Tavern before and one of my favorite meals is the Braised Beef, yum! But today, my husband and I decided to share the fish tacos and the octopus. They were just ok. For the fish tacos, you can choose to have it with fries, greens or soup. We chose chicken noodle soup but when we received it, there was hardly any noodles. Our server got us another bowl and this time it had the noodles. Our friend had the porkchops, that she seemed to like. For ambiance, it strikes me as a little dark inside but the vibe is high energy, especially if you are seated close to the bar. We've been seated in the back in the past as well as their smaller dining room - which is quiet than the front. Overall I am giving this restaurant 4 stars. My past meal experiences here were better and as I recall tastier so perhaps next time I will stick to my favorite meals like the pizza margarita and the braised beef.

Yelp
Came for lunch with my boyfriend. Got the sticky ribs for appetizer. They were pretty good but packed with a bunch of sauce. My boyfriend ordered a Cobb salad and I had the salmon sandwich and added bacon. The salmon on my sandwich was drenched in butter to the point that I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend wasn't impressed with the Cobb salad either. The best part was the waitress. I planned on just paying the bill but she could see that something was wrong with the meal when I chose not to finish it and didn't want a box. I explained what happened and she was able to get the sandwich taken off of our bill.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
My experience here was very mixed. I came with a party of 6 and was able to be seated easily; however, it took a while to be served on multiple occasions, including having our order taken, being served food and water refills, as well as receiving our check at the end. I also think the appetizers are more worth getting than the entrees. The hummus and flatbread, Thai style brussels sprouts, and cornbread were nice, savory options. I also enjoyed the smoked prosciutto and arugula pizza, which was delicious and pretty decently sized. The two entrees (stroganoff and chicken parmesan) were just not that good for the wait we encountered. We were disappointed overall. I'd only recommend coming here as a place to see people and split appetizers as they were the only good things we tried.

Yelp
Way overpriced! The of us went for dinner. It was difficult to find stuff that we wanted to eat. Lots of weird things on the menu. I ordered the Braised Beef Ribs. It also had green beans, carrots and peas. When it came there were two small ribs and lots of the other stuff. 5 bites of meat and gravy. The ladies had the chicken sandwich and the other had the burger, which was very nice. The service was good. Won't be returning. They even had bone marrow and octopus on the menu. The selection of food was off-putting..

Yelp
I love Market Tavern. The food and cocktails are always really good. We went for date night and the wait time was 2hrs+ for the two of us... so make reservations people! We ended up sitting at the bar, which I didn't mind for just us two. Faster service and get your drinks quick (lol). The bar filled up soon after we sat down, so don't always rely on this option if you want to eat. We didn't want to eat too heavy, so we got fries, the beet salad, and pizza. The beet and citrus salad was so good! My first time having it. If you like beats and grapefruit, this is a salad for you. We also had the prosciutto pizza, which I didn't get a picture of. It's my favorite pizza at Market because it's a good balance of greens (arugula), protein (prosciutto), Brie, sweet (pears), and savory. It's not for everyone, but I love it! We had a gift card, but the computer system was also down... whomp whomp wha... but the bartender said to mention it next time we are in and see her so she can make us complimentary drinks. She said the system should be back up next time we go.

Yelp
Hubby went to buy gift certificate and NO one would help him. People were looking at him but no one would come over and ask how they could help him. After 5 minutes he walked out! What kind of customer service is this! He can't be missed biggest person of color in there. We won't be going back needless to say. At least 3 servers and cooks saw him. Girl on phone saw him and didn't acknowledge him. Absolute utter failure of service

Yelp
Ambiance was lively and sometimes a little loud. We had to raise our voice to hear each other at times. Tried a Mushroom Pizza. Fail. No flavor, mismatched mushrooms, that were undercooked and did nothing to enhance flavor. Veggie Pizza had "seasonal" ingredients which were squash and pomegranate seeds. It doesn't work flavor wise. Keep them off. Plus side of this experience was that we shared our experience with manager and he was keen on getting our food remade. I didn't want a mushroom pizza anymore but we got the veggie pizza remade to our preference and was grateful they listened and valued our feedback. Update: The remade pizza was delicious! Thanks MT manager and team!

Yelp
I've had countless visits at this bar/restaurant and I have never been disappointed. The house cocktails are really good. My favorite is the sparkling Paloma. The service is always spectacular. I recommend making a reservation for larger parties; the bar area does have some "first come, first served" seating areas though. I like that their menu has options for everyone depending on their mood. This is an upscale ambiance, dress to impress.

Yelp
Great burger and atmosphere. For the prices of burgers, skip the BS and come get a good one. Don't let other establishments "squeeze" your wallet LMAO you will have a respectable dining experience at the Market Tavern instead. Wonderful waitresses here too. Cheers!

Yelp
First time here for a celebration. Made a reservation for 1pm on a Saturday and still waited about 10 minutes. It was packed! Ambiance was nice, darker atmosphere. Lots of food options on the menu. Appetizers: -chicken wings: a must! If you like a bit spice and sweet this was perfect. Just the right amount of crispiness and it wasn't dry. -furikake fries: tasted like fries with a hint of seaweed. Wish there was a bit more seasoning, but the fries were cooked just right. Not over crispy but still has some softness -bone marrow: this was a big NO. Presentation was great, taste was like a jar of store bought Prego pasta sauce. No marrow what so ever. Also had to ask for a spoon which they usually provide with this dish. Entree: -prosciutto & arugula pizza: this was very tasty! Had great flavors that combined well. Plenty of prosciutto. The parm cheese that came with it on the side was super dry tho, so don't recommend adding it if it's dry! - skirt steak: my friend has this and I sampled. MUST GET. It was very moist and had a unique smokiness which I LOVE. Gave it an extra boost of flavor. Mash was EXTREMELY creamy... broccoli seemed a bit overcooked/expired. My friend said it had a "sour" taste and sadly didn't eat any. -spring lasagna: my friend has this and said it was good. Was shocked that the pasta was not layered but instead just wrapped around itself. It looked VERY heavy with the sauce -king salmon: salmon and veggies was perfect. Rice was not what I expected... it said jasmine rice on the menu so I was expecting a bed of fluffy rice. All of the rice came out crunchy/crispy, like the part on the bottom of the pot. Some people love this but I do not. It gets stuck on your teeth and it's just hard. Other than that the dish is great... -Mary's 1/2 chicken: great portion but the chicken was dry. Potato's tasted like potatoes. Nothing extraordinary. -rigatoni and sausage: friend had this and I had a bite. Pasta was definitely al-dente. Sauce tasted like store bought and could use more in my opinion. Again nothing special. -burger: my sister added cheddar cheese ($3 for a slice!) and said it was a bit sad. There was only sauce on the bottom and the patty was a bit overdone and dry. Overall, great atmosphere and presentation of the food was great. Taste was a hit or miss depending on the dish.

Yelp
The food and drinks here are amazing. Definitely a gem here in Stockon. It is always a little busy here but the specials and espresso martini are worth the wait!

Yelp
The food has been nothing but good, sometimes a little different but still delicious. Been here over 15+ times in the last two months 2 starters 2 main and 1-2 desserts costs between 110$-130$ Perfect for a date night only ever had 1 problem with the service. Definitely worth the try!
