Where to Eat Crispy, Saucy Chicken Wings in Nashville

"No Nashville barbecue map is complete without Martin’s (in Belmont, Midtown, or Downtown, with additional locations outside of the city), but the rapidly expanding staple also makes regular appearances on burger and wing maps, too. Plenty of choices await when it comes to wings here — order six, 12, or 18 tender, smoked wings with Memphis dry rub, tossed in any of Martin’s four sauces, or naked. Order online for takeout from any location except Downtown, or get them delivered on DoorDash or UberEats." - Bailee Mulder

Music City Food and Wine’s Guest Chefs Can’t Wait to Eat and Drink in Nashville - Eater Nashville

"Mark Oldman says he can’t wait to return to pitmaster Pat Martin’s barbecue joint. “As soon as I contemplate a return to Martin’s, my taste buds rev hot for this institutions’ otherworldly, smoky wings. The Memphis dry rub wings are the path to paradise, ordered with a side of both the Alabama white and Palmetto gold sauces. Martin’s ribs, brisket burger, and baked beans are also masterfully executed. Meanwhile, Carla Hall is a big fan of the bologna sandwich at the barbecue-focused restaurant." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Martin’s Bar-B-Que Brings All of the Meats to Midtown Soon | Eater Nashville

"Opening on Tuesday, March 26, the new Midtown outpost at 2400 Elliston Place expands Pat Martin's meaty empire. I like that no freezers or microwaves are allowed — everything is made fresh daily with the intent of running out — and the menu features the ever-popular whole hog barbecue sandwich topped with slaw, a Southern “paddy” melt dolloped with pimento cheese, and Mississippi catfish fingers. Southern sides like cornbread hoecakes and macaroni and cheese are made from Martin’s family recipes, as are Mrs. Kitty’s coconut cake and Martha Ann’s fudge pie. To sip on, the Cumberland grog is made with allspice and Cheerwine and the Tennessee sour combines a classic whiskey sour with red wine, and Martin himself curated the beer and wine lists. The new location includes a large patio and a full outdoor bar with views of two block pits where they’ll smoke fresh hogs daily, two private dining spaces, and kitschy Nashville-themed décor, photos from Martin’s youth, and other nostalgic memorabilia lining the walls." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint Opening Eighth Location | Eater Nashville

"Planned for 2400 Elliston Place in Midtown, the new Martin’s Bar-B-Que outpost will take over a Logan’s Roadhouse and is expected to open in late 2018; it will mark the sixth Middle Tennessee location and eighth overall. Logan’s Roadhouse will retain a small minority ownership in the location, and Logan’s CEO Hazem Ouf said the company is excited to be a small part of the brand’s growth and looks forward to supporting the restaurant’s success." - Erin Perkins

This portion is perfect for small appetites. This is called “The Kid Brother Sampler”. The brisket is incredibly tender and moist. It literally falls apart when you puck it up. I regrettably chose white meat for my chicken which was a tad bit dry but full of flavor. This place also has different hand made bbq sauces including a vinegar one which I never knew existed in bbq sauces. Make sure to try their different versions. Mac and cheese was very creamy and good. I definitely recommend this place. Plenty of seating as blues music plays. They have a patio and bar as well. Thank you Martins BBQ for the great experience!

Ordered the Sliced Smoke Turkey Small Gathering for thanksgiving because I did not want to cook lol. The package came with 2.5 lbs sliced smoked turkey, quart mashed potatoes, quart sweet potato casserole, green beans, broccoli salad, a whole fudge pie and 10 rolls. Aside from that, we ordered half a gallon of Mac and cheese, 1 lb of smoked sliced ham, 2 extra lbs of sliced smoked turkey and 24 deviled eggs. All of this came up to about $350 including tax. This was definitely more than enough for us (4 people). Could have easily fed 8 people! Every single dish was so good and would not change anything. We were worried the meats would be tough and dry since they had to be in the fridge for two days before we reheated them on thanksgiving day but it’s still so tender and flavorful. This might just be a new thanksgiving tradition for us. Less stress and more time to mingle and have fun. Definitely recommend. PS I tried Martin’s through our thanksgiving lunch at work. We had gotten catering from them and thought it would be perfect for our personal thanksgiving

I ordered the Big Brother Sampler and the Redneck Tacos, and the tacos stole the show—the slaw on the pulled pork added the perfect crunch, and the cornbread hoe cake was surprisingly good (I usually side-eye cornbread, but this one completely won me over)! The Redneck Tacos was alone a 5/5 star experience but the Sampler didn’t quite hit the mark. The dry rub ribs were a little bland, but the sauced ribs had more flavour. The brisket was overall decent. One person in our party also ordered a cheeseburger and wasn’t impressed. For the sides, we tried the fries, broccoli, salad, and beans—all were great but the beans were my favourite! Overall, classic BBQ vibes all around! Everything came out really quickly too, which was great! The only thing I was bummed about was the banana pudding being a catering-only menu item!

Decided to try this place after a few recommends from friends. Did not disappoint! We each ordered the brisket, ribs dry and sauced. Sides: Mac n cheese, baked beans, potato salad, hush puppies and the corn bread. The brisket was amazing! Pull apart, juicy, melt in your mouth. The meals come with 2 sides of white Texas toast. The inside was nice and clean, staff were super nice and gave some menu recommendations. There’s a bar area and a massive dining area. Each table comes with loads of paper towel and Martins Jack Creek bbq sauce. I would 100% recommend!

Best brisket in town. Super tender, flavorful and juicy! We shared the beef brisket plate as well as the big brother sampler. The big brother sampler says it can feed up to 2 people but it wasn’t enough for us at all. The fries were amazing! We tried the cornbread hoecake but would pass on it again. It tasted like biscuits and gravy and looked like a pancake. There’s a small parking lot in the back where if you’re early and lucky you can park for free. Food is a little bit expensive but the meat is great. They provide so many things inside as well such as free moon cakes, tons of sauces, and wet towels for cleaning. Definitely would recommend for those looking to try the Nashville BBQ scene.

Clean dinning area, was nice and busy, but not loud. Pulled pork shoulder sandwich with the house coleslaw. The potato salad was yummo. And while Dru the sandwich had amazing flavor. The runny sweet vinager bbq sauce was awesome.

Lots of seating, live music, order at counter and food arrived within 5 minutes. Got pulled pork nachos and a pulled pork tray with mac and cheese and green beand as sides. Everything was delicious!!! We arrived at 4:30 and left by 5. It was quick but no rush. It started getting busier around then on.a Saturday. Close to our hotel at Hilton Home 2. Definitely check it out!!

Had about 35 people go there after a hockey game. They moved us through the ordering line quick and the food came out quick. They did a great job with that many people plus other patrons coming in. Overall the food was very good, and I think the consensus was the food was solid. A couple of people were not impressed and is the only reason it was not 5 star. Also the cornbread was more of a pancake. Those who got the cornbread were not impressed.
