Zoe and Brandon greeted us at the bar and provided excellent customer service. Tasty cocktails and probably the best wings I have had in Del Ray, maybe even in Alexandria. The whipped feta appetizer was sad however, cold bitter feta and burnt chips. I would recommend the feta have some hot honey, be heated up, and come with toasted pita bread rather than chips. Had an imbalance of texture and flavor. Overall great location, decor, music, service, and wings! Cant wait to be back and try more!

Went to Matt&Tony’s for the first time today for brunch and 100% recommend. This is hospitality at its finest. Matt, the half of the restaurant’s name was there and assisted my girlfriends and I who were catching up. They had a huge party and needed an extra table to seat people, but didn’t rush us. The food, large portions compared to other places. We ordered grits shrimp, short rib msc&cheese, chicken and waffles, crispy lemon pound cake. Everything was delicious. My favorite drink and hands down 5 stars if you are a female and like sweeter bourbon cocktails..order the well-oiled machine.

The kids and I had our first visit to Matt & Tony's and absolutely loved it. The ambience was really nice - upbeat on a Saturday late morning. Nice mix of of all ages -outside seating is very nice. The hostess accommodated us without a reservation but i would recommend on the weekend - it was super busy. Food was Fantastic - cocktails are delicious- my son really enjoyed the yogurt parfait and the waffles! He said it was the "best waffle eva" 🧇 😋 I loved the kids activities with crayon b4 the food comes - great time killer to entertain them 😁 we will definitely be back.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a reservation (I would recommend booking a reservation because this place stays packed). The food was good and staff were nice but our waiter wasn’t attentive and it took a bit to get our food. Other than that I would definitely come back to try other food options.

The atmosphere and aesthetics are great however the food was blend to me. Avoid the M&T special. The bread was soggy. The eggs questionable. And the bacon just didn’t bacon. I came away disappointed. However the atmosphere felt like it would be lively on the weekends. Maybe it was an off moment.

Google
Great experience. The chef got feedback from a patron that the firecracker shrimp was too salty and learned they changed the batter to include more seasoning but didn't realize they didn't need salt in the new batter, so he changed it on the spot. I can only count on one place that does this, Matt and Tony's. I ordered grits as a side dish plus granola and French toast 🤤. I'll be back next time.

Ate here for the first time the other day and thought the food was pretty good. I had the shrimp and grits, and it was little different but very good. The squares are the grits. I had to ask because i was very confused when i started eating and didn't see the grits. I have never had them like this, but it was very good. I also saw a chicken fried chicken, and I am definitely going back. The chicken fried chicken was huge, and for dinner it is served with greens and mashed potatoes. 😋 Drink was on point, but I can't remember the name. Try this place, I'm definitely going back. I also took a pic of their happy hour menu and spot was definitely busy.

Came here for brunch with friends. Got a reservation a little over 1 week ahead of time. The reservations fill up quick. The wait time as a walk in was about an hour. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was pretty good. I ordered the Cali breakfast burrito which fries, carne asada, cheese, and guac in it. I felt it needed some kind of sauce or salsa. They provided us with their donuts complimentary for a birthday! My only negative was the service was really slow, especially considering wait times were so high, the food took quite a while to come out and the wait staff wasn't super attentive. Parking is on the street and easy to find. Prices are reasonable. Would come back to try again!

Yelp
I've been to Matt and Tony's a couple of times, and it's easily one of my favorite brunch spots in the area. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, and both spaces are roomy and comfortable. The decor is relaxed yet elevated, making it a nice spot to enjoy brunch. My first visit had superb service--our waiter had excellent recommendations and was very attentive. However, on my next visit, the service wasn't as great; our waitress seemed scattered, wasn't very available, and kept forgetting items we'd requested. Now, onto the food and drinks: Every drink I've tried here has been delicious, and with a full bar, they can make just about anything you want--and make it strong! The food is also fantastic. The chicken and waffles are a hit every single time, and the firecracker shrimp is divine--flavorful and perfectly crispy. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try even more dishes!

Yelp
Wednesday 11/6/2024 Found this spot on instagram and those chicken & waffles really caught my eye so I had to make a visit. I made a $81.03 takeout order via uber eats (prices were the same for takeout) and got the French toast $17, chicken & waffles $19, steak & eggs $26, and sweet potato donuts $11. Before jumping into the food one thing that I immediately noticed was how unorganized some of the packaging was (like they just tossed the food & toppings in the box). - French toast was good but I don't think it's worth the $17 price tag for 1 thick slice of French toast. - The chicken & waffles were decent but I'm very confused on why they give you 3/4ths of a waffle instead of a full waffle while still charging you nearly $20 (make it make sense). Also once I got back home, I spotted a white/grey strand of hair in my food which is nasty. - The steak n eggs were weak and average for the most part. I ordered steak medium and it more so tasted like it was medium well (overly chewy). Also this was the main dish that seemed to have been just tossed around and unorganized. - The sweet potato donuts was my favorite of the (4) items I had and that praline sauce (I think) goes wonderful with it but paying $11 for 7 small cinnamon sugar sweet potato donuts is ridiculous. It would've been more acceptable if they charged a $1 per donut making it around 11 small donuts. Overall, my experience at this spot left me with a mixed feeling as most of the food is good but none it warrants the significantly high price tags for it and due to me finding a white/grey hair strand in my food. The food isn't bad but it's definitely overrated and overpriced.

Yelp
The drinks and the food, yep! I went here for an early Saturday brunch around 10am, and I was excited to beat the brunch rush. The service was a bit slow, however, everyone was really nice. I truly enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and the lemon pound cake. Be sure to check them out. Also, try the "expresso martini" with the tequila.

Yelp
This place gives you 'neighborhood bar' vibes. My friends and I met up here for brunch; one of our 'catch up' meals. I don't know how my friend found this spot because it's literally in the cut. You hop off the interstate and take a bunch of side roads and then...... it's like you've taken a ride back in time. A time when small towns ruled. It was cute. It's small, but the right size at the same time. Parking is terrible however, so plan accordingly. I had the shrimp & grits. It's the grit cakes type of grits. I'd rather have REAL grits, but it worked and it was good. My friend Vi had the French Toast w/chicken. She loved them joints and talked about how moist they both were. My other friend Nicole had a sandwich and sweet potato fries. She absolutely loved the fries. We also ordered some mac & cheese to share. It was okay, but I felt it was lacking.... something. Craft cocktails are a thing. And everybody is serving them now. I had a beermosa. Yes, you heard that right. I was curious about how that would taste. Been there, done that and I don't need to do it again. I drank it, although Nicole suggested sending it back. It was okay. The girls both had the Side Quest and were feeling really good after drinking them. Ha! I also had a 'Boots with the Fur'. You can't go wrong with ginger beer. It was good. The stars of the show were desert. That S'more Bread Pudding was hittin'! AND, so was the pumpkin cheesecake. My achilles heel. I love a good desert. Overall, the vibe is the draw. This spot is so warm & cozy. You can tell it's a neighborhood dive. One of those spots where they know your name. There's also outside seating. I did notice lots of FAM in the house, which was a bonus. Check it out.

Yelp
Went with hubby and 8 year old. Food was good and fair price. The place was hopping late brunch on a Saturday. More of a friends place. Very very loud. Chic inside. Would frequent it more if doing a girls meal or if I was younger (plenty of people of all ages). Was hoping to love the food and we liked it.

Yelp
M&T is a neighborhood restaurant located in Delray. I have been a few times. I'd say the food is consistent. The service is always great. The atmosphere is vibey. The ambience is casual but cool and you could catch a game there or have lunch or dinner with friends. I'd suggest making a reservation beforehand or you will be waiting for an extended amount of time to be seated. On the weekend this restaurant is jumping, jumping. Whenever we can't decide where to go out to eat on the weekend and we want something local, M&T is where we are going.

Yelp
This was my first time checking out Mat and Tony's. My review is based on my take out experience. I placed my order online which was easy and ready at the time quoted. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty empty. I heard the hostess ask if the party ahead of me had reservations. I could see how this place could fill up very quickly. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a Cesar salad with chicken. The chicken and waffles were a decent sized portion. The chicken was flavorful. The waffle was good. I ended up putting it in the toaster to crisp it up a little. The Cesar salad was a decent entree size. Th salad had a base of gem lettuce. The chicken I added to the salad was served in a seperate container which was an added bonus. Overall I was pleased with my meal. I think I would be more satisfied if I had eaten it at the restaurant instead of to go.

Yelp
What an unforgettable dining experience! From the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding food, Matt and Tony's All Day Kitchen is an absolute gem. We started with the smoked beet and endive salad, topped with a creamy goat cheese mousse, hazelnut dukkah, pomegranate molasses, and fresh mint. The textures and flavors were spot-on--crunchy, creamy, and just the right balance of sweet and tangy. It was simply delightful and set a high bar for the rest of the meal. For the main course, I went with the Murray Farms half chicken, which was incredibly moist and flavorful, with a serving size that's more than generous. The root vegetable mirepoix added a nice earthy base, and the mustard au jus gave each bite a savory zing. And let's talk about the biscuit--it was warm, fluffy, and just begging to be torn apart and dipped in the jus. This dish was pure comfort on a plate. My spouse had the double-cut pork chop, served with a parmesan sage risotto, bacon-braised collard greens, garlic cream, and demi-glace. According to him, it was one of the best dishes he's ever had. The risotto was perfectly creamy, and the pork chop had a rich, smoky flavor that paired beautifully with the greens. What's even better than the food? The fantastic service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and made us feel right at home, sharing little stories about Tony's culinary legacy and his famous rye bread that once graced the White House. This place is more than a meal--it's a celebration of really good food, served with heart and history. Highly recommend Matt and Tony's if you're looking for a place that leaves you satisfied, both in appetite and experience.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hidden gems. I almost hate to leave this review for fear of not being able to get a reservation. They frequently rotate their menu, which allows you to change things up. Their brunch is amazing, and they keep some of the items on the menu throughout the day. Overall, I love the food, the drinks, the vibe and the prices. Pro tip: park on the adjacent street

Yelp
My friend and I wanted to try a new spot for Sunday brunch and found this place on Yelp. We shared the seafood dip which was incredible and had pieces of shrimp and other seafood. The bread that it was served with was buttery and a great pairing. For entrees, we had the frittata and the biscuits and gravy. Both dishes were tasty and flavorful. The passion fruit mimosas we ordered were also delicious. The restaurant was cute but beyond packed. The wait was over an hour, but we found bar seating and got a spot within 10 minutes. Despite being completely slammed, the bartenders and servers were prompt and attentive. I would definitely come back the next time in town. The chicken and waffles looked like an incredible dish and I definitely want to try it.

Yelp
Delicious place! Everything we ordered was so tasty. We went for a 30th birthday dinner and the staff was so accommodating. They helped us serve our cake and get closed out in time for our show. The atmosphere was very cozy.

Yelp
I was contacted by Eric, the Chef about my recent experience and he asked that I give them another chance (with a discount). My recent experience was a complete 180 in a very good way. The other half of my party was already seated by the time I arrived and she had been served an appetizer which was already a good sign. She did mention to me that Matt had apologized to her about our previous experience, which we both appreciated. Christine, our server for the night was very attentive, as was the lovely young woman who was the front of house (I didn't get her name unfortunately but she was great). It was pretty lively, which is understandable considering it was Friday night but looking around everyone else seemed like they were all having a great time. We ordered the seafood dip (that bread *insert Homer Simpson drool* , the swordfish and the pork chop, all of which were delicious. The Farmhouse Punch was a nice non-alcoholic option and I did like that they had those available. We also ordered the apple crumble and s'more's bread pudding (a bit heavy so I took the rest home to enjoy later) and was a very satisfying way to end our time with Matt + Tony. All in all, a nice place to get a bite to eat in the neighborhood. I'm glad we gave this place a second chance. Wish I lived closer!

Yelp
Wow! Great food and atmosphere. My server was excellent. I believe her name was Olivia. She was ver friendly and helped us make excellent choices as this was our first time visiting this establishment. The entrees came quickly and were 'ALL' delicious! Everything was so seasoned and full of flavor....especially the meats....the most important part! :) Every single dish we ordered was so good, and the generous portions allowed us to take home what we couldn't eat! Not one bad plate on the table....from the Firecracker Shrimp, Steak n' Chops, Chicken n' Waffles, Tuna Tartare, Spicy Buffalo Wings, Grilled Pork Chop Plate....to the to house made donut holes for the dessert! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Standouts were the Seafood dip and with warm buttered, crispy toast for appetizers.....really, really delicious! I had a very large and colorful kale salad which was so fresh and the grilled pork chop that was huge, cooked to perfection with a side of mash potatoes and collard greens. Honorable mention to the side of Collards and whosoever made them! They put their Grandmother's foot in the pot!....They were soooo good!! A great neighborhood gem and find. Definitely will be back!

Albani C.

Yelp
Everything was delicious and the restaurant itself had a great vibe. The service was solid and staff were polite.

Yelp
Delicious and very popular American spot that serves breakfast foods (and non-breakfast foods) at all times of the day Both indoor and outdoor seating I have been here twice for breakfast, and I've opted to sit outside both times because the inside is very dark, loud, and cold (over AC'd) . The seats outside are not very comfortable, and on my last visit there were tons of flies that were buzzing around us the whole time, but the outside seating is still preferable to the indoor seating. The service is a little scattered as it seems that the staff is a little overwhelmed by the popularity of the place, but the food is phenomenal. On my last visit I got their french toast with fried chicken and it was fantastic. This being said, I also found a large hair in my food, which was not as fantastic...

Erin B.

Yelp
Go early and make a reservation. It's worth the hype and I never say that about anything.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
I had the crispy lemon pound cake which is the best way to have french toast! Shrimp and grits was also great especially if you like spicy shrimp and grits. It's a nice trendy building with a lovely patio that would have been great if a little warmer.

Peggy L.

Yelp
Chicken & Waffles (crispy chicken, mike's hot honey, mole syrup, spiced pecans) - this is it! The best chicken & waffles I ever had! They executed perfectly fried seasoned chicken with semi crunchy and soft waffles... then topped with Mike's hot honey, mole syrup... some crunchiness pecans. they really harnessed amazing flavors out of fried chicken! I usually don't like fried chicken but I do crave it occasionally... but this one! I'd eat it everyday despite that it's not healthy for everyday eating. Masa Pancakes (corn meal pancakes, mole syrup, berries) - it's really filling and delicious! Soft, fluffy and hot that you could tell that it was freshly made! Lavender blueberry spritz (seed-lip grove, blueberry, lavender, lemon, n/a sparkling wine) - it was not so bad. It's fizzy and refreshing for a hot day out there! Interesting combo and I had to try as lavender itself caught my eye. The service was great and efficient as they're very busy.... The place is easily packed and we were lucky to get seats by the bar indoors. The vibes are very chill and classy.

Grace R.

Yelp
The place was cozy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the pancakes. They were very light and delicious, especially after you added the syrup. My friend ordered the chicken with waffles. Wow, that is an experience in a bite. Just ordered, you will understand what I mean. Thank you to the staff for making our breakfast fantastic and for making great coffee.

Nigel M.

Yelp
Brunch time!!! The family gathered to celebrate my cousin's graduation from high school! Let me tell you, a time was had!! We had a fantastic time at Matt and Tony's. We sat inside, but the outdoor seating looked so inviting with the trees providing shade and creating a lovely ambiance. The restaurant has a chill vibe, nicely decorated and has large windows which allowed sunlight to brighten up the space. It was lively and bustling with guests coming and going, which added to the energetic atmosphere. Our experience started when the hostess welcomed the group with a big smile. Our server Dulce who was absolutely amazing. She was cheerful, attentive, and made sure we had a great time. For appetizers, we ordered the Seafood Dip with crab, shrimp, spinach, smoked cheddar, parmesan, and rustic bread. It was a delicious start to the meal. We also tried the Pesto Burrata with tomato jam, mixed green salad, garlic crostini, and gold balsamic vinaigrette. The flavors were incredible. Of course, we couldn't miss out on the amazing cocktails and beverages. We enjoyed coffee, mimosas, Bloody Mary, and the Garden Party mocktail, which was a delightful and refreshing choice. To top it all off, we even had shots of Don Julio 1942 after our breakfast - a fun and celebratory touch! Now, let's talk about the main entrees. The talk of the town was definitely the Chicken & Waffles. The crispy chicken, Mike's hot honey, mole syrup, and spiced pecans made it lip-smacking good. It was worth every penny of the $18 price tag. The Shrimp & Grits was another standout dish, with cajun spiced jumbo shrimp, andouille sausage gravy, and sharp cheddar grit cakes. It had the perfect combination of flavors. For those looking for something different, the Daily Quiche was a chef's selection served with a side salad and smoked paprika vinaigrette. It was a delightful and satisfying choice at $17. And if you're craving a classic, the Biscuits & Gravy with bacon, home-fries, biscuits, and a fruit cup hit the spot at $16. Our brunch at Matt and Tony's was a good time. We heard so many good things about this spot. Finally, we got the opportunity to experience it ourselves, and it did not disappoint! It's definitely a spot worth visiting, and we can't wait to come back!

Brian C.

Yelp
Average brunch spot that is nothing spectacular or memorable. The dishes look better than they taste but they do make for nice pictures if that is what you value. We had the steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, and French toast. Everything was fine, nothing bad, nothing great. Was initially going to give 1 star because of poor service, never was checked in on for water refills, we saw our food delivered to the wrong table and the party realized that after cutting into it, and then the food was redirected to our table. But they regain a star because one of the staff was nice and opened the door for us on our way out. Overall, worth trying out for the pictures but wouldn't recommend for food or service.

Joshua P.

Yelp
Honestly this place was friggin phenomenal. Been wanting to go here but was hesitant due to fear of bland eggs and dry biscuits ~ the loom and doom of breakfast joints. Ordered the French toast with chicken and Shrimp and grits. Would recommend both! The French toast is phenomenal. One of the best I've had. The S&G were also very good. I just wish I had a piece of toast to soak up the leftover gravy. Service and ambiance is top notch too. Generally no complaints. I'll be back to try other menu items.

Mike R.

Yelp
Five wonderful stars. Five. Had this place bookmarked forever having read about them on various Facebook foodie posts. Finally got over there today and it was worth every effort. A couple of my colleagues and I were looking for a lunch spot because our original destination was closed today for some unknown reason. The ambiance.... the service.... everything over here is fantastic. Josh was our server and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. I had a shrimp burger with lots of flavor and lots of texture. There were chunks of shrimp in it - not just a finely chopped "shrimp paste" like a lot of places try to pass off. Super juicy! Added fries. They even have real hot sauce. Crystal hot sauce. My colleague one had a gyro wrap which I look forward to tasting the next time and my other colleague had chicken and waffles. We had wings for the table. When the wings first came out I thought they were ugly, burned looking. Those things were phenomenal. Nicely seasoned and super flavored. They're ugly, but they're tasty lol. I look forward to coming back here many times in the future. I saw the dinner menu. Josh showed it to us even though it was lunch time so I'm coming back for dinner next time. Street parking available and it's not that abundant so that's hit or miss.

Mary H.

Yelp
Solid food and good service. We heard the hype so we went to check it out. Seafood dip- tasted more pimento cheesy than seafood. It was ok. The bread that came with it was good. Chicken sandwich- crispy chicken on a bun. My husband loved it and was happy with his choice Quiche of the Day- it was spinach. I loved the crust. The food was ok or maybe it was my choices. We would definitely like to try other things on the menu.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I've been hearing great things about Matt and Tony's and finally experienced it on Saturday! I made reservations last minute on OpenTable and was able to get a great seat outside on the patio. Jenna was the amazing server. Food Selected: DRINKS Darrell Strawberry Dreamsicle SMALL PLATES Seafood Dip Ayo Goddes Salad ENTREE Shrimp and Grits Lemon Clam Linguine I love the del ray vibe. Parking was plentiful . We Will definitely be back to sit on the patio and/or try the brunch offerings.

Yelp
Great food. Great ambiance. Great service. Very busy. Definitely make a reservation! Located in the Del Rey neighborhood, Matt and Tony's was a great spot to enjoy the beautiful weather and delicious food.

Yelp
The drinks and vibe was awesome but unfortunately the food was far from that. The meals were extremely underwhelming and under seasonedThis cannot be the Matt & Tony's that folks have been raving about. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that I went to the wrong restaurant. This spot left a lot to be desired this past Sunday for brunch. The drinks and the ambiance were good but unfortunately the food was far from that. The meals were extremely underwhelming and under seasoned. The Lamb Burger was massively overcooked and just as dark on the outside as it was on the inside, I wasn't even asked what cook temperature. The Salmon B.A.L.T was ridiculously dry, and the Scotch Eggs were decent only due to the chimichurri mayo that was served on the side. The service at the bar began with a great start then went downhill ultimately becoming mediocre just like the food.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
great southern style brunch place in Alexandria! The food was delicious, good portions, and they had mocktails. Service was fast too. It was difficult to park in peak hours so that's something to be aware of.

Sandra S.

Yelp
Visited here with my friend for brunch on Saturday around 1pm. I decided on Matt & Tony's because I heard great reviews on tik tok as well as from one of my friends. However, based on the food I had this restaurant is very overhyped. We started off with the seafood dip, which was pretty good. It was paired with bread and very delicious! The dip was seasoned well and the bread had a perfect crunch to it! I ordered one of the popular cornflake crusted French toast with chicken. The chicken was unseasoned, very crispy though. The French toast was okay, it was very sweet. I also wish the French toast came with a side of syrup, they drizzle it in syrup and it makes some parts of the French toast dry if it's not drizzled right, if I knew, i would have ordered the syrup on the side. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and she said the grits were overcooked but the shrimp was well seasoned. The restaurant is very beautiful, the bar is absolutely gorgeous. Our waitress was sweet and kind and customer service was great. I would come back to try other menu items. I was just disappointed because we ordered their most popular items and it didn't taste the best. Also it's only really street parking available, the restaurant is loud and pretty packed on Saturdays so make sure to make a reservation prior. 3.75/5

Yelp
OMG!!! I had never heard of this place! Having an Elite Maximus Foodie friend allows for new food adventures! (Brush his shoulders off for this one.) Apparently this went viral on TikTok and I'm not on that so better late than never! I've been on a chicken and waffle spree these last two months. I didn't want to get it but my date insisted one of us should, glad it was me! This chicken and waffle was the BEST in the DMV! Hands down! The BEST! Coffee was perfect! Definitely coming back. This will be a staple spot for me! Loved it! Come to this spot! It will not disappoint!

Yelp
Matt and Tony's is an entire vibe. I went here off the humble after church this past Sunday. It was completely packed so be sure to make a reservation. I was able to secure a couple of seats at the bar. Big shoutout to Shawn for taking care of my family and me. For starters, I got hip to drinking French 75's. I felt fancy as hell sipping that drink. The chicken and waffles with the spicy syrup are a MUST HAVE!!! Complete game changer. Jesus did his thing making them waffles and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. I was being greedy and tried the steak and eggs, shrimp and grits (absolute FIRE). The atmosphere is extremally energetic and loud. I loved every moment of it. Put me down for a party of 2 this Sunday Matt and Tony. #EatGoodAndBeHappy

Yelp
Nice popular brunch spot, that we were able to sit outside at (inside was loud). Good music inside and out but if you can get a table outside you can still converse. The smash burger was good if you're just craving a traditional cheeseburger but want better than fast food. I choose the home fries instead of regular fries and they were so good! Drinks looked good but were pricey. Would go back to try more food specials!

Yelp
Let me start by saying, "I'm going to give it another try" but for now it's a NO. Visited on 9/1 for brunch and it was super packed and this is the reason why I'm going to go again because it was packed. Although that shouldn't be a reason to serve warm food and mediocre service, I'll come back on a less busy night and update the review. We ordered... Seafood Dip - came out warm and oddly it was less than half of the bowl that it was in. It was good but would have been delicious if it was hot. Greek Yogurt Bowl - It's a yes. Shrimp and Grits - it was a little hotter but not hot as if you had to blow on it to cool it down but it was good. Steak & Eggs - Now I was planning on ordering country fried chicken but it came with white gravy and I wanted brown gravy so I opted and ordered steak and eggs. Now I blame myself for this one and not being patient to look over the menu again and choose something other than NY Strip (I would never order NY Strip) the steak went to waste and the eggs and potatoes were room temperature so the whole plate was no good. Cute restaurant, easy to park. I'll spin the block on this one.

Yelp
This is simply the most incredible breakfast food I have ever tasted. So happy I came in early so I could walk aRound after and digest the rest of the day. Corn Crusted French Toast- 5/5 WOW! It's so dangerous to have such an amazing dish on the menu... should I just come here every morning for these? Seriously the crunch crust w the moist toast was immaculate. Steak & Eggs- 5/5. 0 complaints other than all other steak and eggs will now pale in comparison to the memory of these Nice and friendly staff w speedy service! Very fun inside and very welcoming! Salmon BALT - 5/5 wow the most delicious sandwich! So many flavors and so big!!

Yelp
A-1 food service & atmosphere. Great for family or private get togethers. Warning: Very busy on weekends with the brunch crowds. Reservations highly recommended! Exceptional eatery for an early morning business breakfast. Out of town guests and locals all agree this was fantastic food & excellent atmosphere, with great table side service. Seats are comfortable and they support ease for anyone dealing with disabilities or handicap issues. Call ahead or use OpenTable for best seating options. Menu does change, so best to find updates when available (e.g. website had oatmeal, which they no longer carry.) Today, I had the vegan breakfast burrito, which was cooked to perfection with really great vegan "egg substitute." I dare you to tell the difference from real eggs- because I'm a super taster, and I sure couldn't. Other diners said the smoked salmon on toast was the best they'd ever had. Coffee was ok, and likely from the local dark roast brand in the neighborhood. No one walked away unhappy, and we were able to solve a number of business problems in under an hour. High five's all around.

Yelp
I went here for brunch the day before my birthday with some friends. It was suggested because we heard that the food was good. Not only was the food good the drinks and the service was also. Since this is my first time there, I wanted to try something that I don't normally get. I try the chicken and waffles which they had their own spin to it, the chicken and waffles was also served with Mike's hot honey and walnuts, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The waffles were fluffy and flavorful like they added things to the batter. Everyone at the table really enjoyed their dish as well as their drinks. I really enjoyed that you could sit inside or outside. I also noticed that there was a bar with a few TVs in the middle. That would be a great scene to watch a footballer baseball game. Definitely will go back.

Yelp
Cute little brunch spot in Alexandria, VA on Mount Vernon St. Stopped in on a girls weekend for brunch. We had the Avocado Toast, squash frittata and the salmon toast. All were delicious and filling. The bread is thick and the sauces were perfectly paired with each dish. Make sure to make a reservation before going out, and there's only street parking. We will definitely return should we ever travel to the area again!

Yelp
I've heard so many great things about this restaurant. I was excited to check it out. It was easy to get street parking. I walked in and waited several minutes before anyone greeted me. Finally someone came to the hostess stand and seated me. Then I sat and sat and sat. I thought all of this was odd. I eventually was greeted by the server and received a menu. I ordered my breakfast and it came without a hitch. My food was served fresh and hot. Not sure why the greeting and the service I received was less than stellar. Based on service, I do not plan on ever returning.

Yelp
I had a great experience dining at Matt and Tony's! I made a reservation about five days prior and only had to wait about 10 minutes after my reservation time to be seated. They were very busy! It's a decent sized restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating, so it's very popular due to its crowd level. I brought a friend here to celebrate her birthday, and the waitress and host were very accommodating and brought out sweet potato donut holes with a birthday candle after we finished our meals, which was a nice surprise for my friend. For my meal, I ordered the pumpkin spike iced latte breakfast cocktail, which tasted great. I also ordered the cornflake crusted French toast with chicken, and I added a side of scrambled eggs. Amazing. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Decided to come here with my best friend and exchange birthday gifts. We have been trying to get here for the last year and we FINALLY made it. First impression, the decor was so nice! Parking is street parking, we found a close spot in front of someone's home, but the street has a lot of parking options. They have outdoor seating, so when the weather is nice, I'm sure sitting outside is awesome. Make reservations if you decide to visit; if not, it can be a wait. Now on to the food...I didn't get pictures of everything but here's the lowdown: * M&T Wings - definitely expected wing dings, but they were huge whole wings. They were not seasoned to me, and seemed as if they were dusted with something after they were cooked. Wasn't a fan * Seafood Dip - I anticipated a white base dip, similar to spinach artichoke, but it came out with a Cajun theme. It was......ok and the bread cut the roof of my mouth, so it was as a little crispy. * Firecracker Shrimp - to me, the best part of this meal. Wish it was fried a little harder, but overall, nice size shrimps and sauce * Smash Burger - was NOT a smash burger, two huge thick patties came out. I ate one of the patties and was done * French Toast with crispy chicken - chicken not seasoned, and the French toast was very crunchy. The crunch of the French toast overpowered the taste of it, it was soft in the middle but it was a lot happening at once and the crunch was just a lot. Drinks were good! The one I really wanted to try they did not have all the ingredients available. We were told they make the ingredients in house and they did not have everything available to make the Lavender Blueberry Spritz. However we had hot tea, and tried the Farmhouse Punch; BOMB. Overall, I do not think I'll be back; but I hope other visitors try the place out and enjoy their meals.

Yelp
Amazing brunch food, and good service. We walked in on a Saturday early afternoon and were able to get bar seating for 2 people. There were only few seats available; it's a highly popular place for sure. I tried the following: - Masa pancakes - delicious, flavorful, and very filling. Because of the masa, it feels more filling than your typical pancakes. - Chicken & waffles - OMG probably the best chicken and waffles I've probably ever had! There is something special about the spices and/or honey that we can't really place our finger on. The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the waffles were also perfectly crispy yet also soft and fresh inside. - Lavender blueberry spritz - refreshing, light and not too strong in flavors.

Yelp
I checked out this restaurant for the first time and fell in love with it. It's an all day brunch spot with lots of options. I decided to try the cornflake crusted French toast, and it did not disappoint. I really wanted more, and it was so filling. I had a taste of my friends, chicken and waffles, which tasted amazing as well. The service here was awesome. Our server checked on us couple of times to ensure that we're okay. The ambience was nice and calm. I highly recommend this place because you get your moneys worth. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
Met up with a high school classmate here for dinner last night and the restaurant was so accommodating! I had to change the time of our reservations as I was running late but everything worked out. I ordered their salmon and she ordered their crispy shrimp and fried catfish. Everything looked really good. My salmon was light but so flavorful. It was pretty packed for dinner so parking was a bit challenging but not impossible. It's pretty casual but quite noisy so maybe not the best place to catch up with friends since it was a little hard to hear.

Yelp
3/30/24 Place: MATT AND TONY'S ALL DAY BRUNCH Atmosphere: casual and comfortable with country feel Food: 3 stars out of 5 - we started with old fashioned and sangria - drinks and mixed well. Entrees - Shrimp and Grits was absolutely delicious. Chicken and Waffles was just okay, chicken was dry. Cornflakes French Toast was very tasty. Crispy Chicken Sandwich - Dry but crispy. Service: 5 stars out of 5 - very accommodating and friendly --Mike!!!

Yelp
At this point I've been back several times and have got other people enjoying the ambiance! My favorites are the salmon burger and chicken and waffle. I could definitely pass on the seafood dip, but I saw others were ordering. Keep this place going in Del Ray!

Yelp
Bramble Bush Mocktail: 10/10 Shrimp & Grits (sub to chicken gravy): 8/10 Went to see what the hype was about at Matt & Tony's. The service was friendly, quick, & helpful with answering our questions. They have indoor, bar, & outdoor seating. It's a perfect vibe for brunch over drinks with friends! Parking is very limited to street/neighborhood parking, but they are walking distance to a metro stop. Started with the bramble busy mocktail and it was deliciousssss!! It is definitely top 3 mocktails i've had! Their zero proof gin along with the blueberry flavors pair so well, i loved it! The shrimp and grits were very flavorful. I appreciate the option to substitute the sausage gravy for the chicken based. I didn't like the cubes the grits came in, I feel like it was disproportionate to the amount of gravy and shrimp. Overall, I would come back to try some of their other menu items, or solely for their drinks!!
