Great atmosphere. Went here after arriving from the airport. Great place to get a beer and a great tasting burger.

This place is aight. Great place for dancing. Different kinds of music ... depends on the night you're here, but it's safe to say that on either of the floors you'll be getting old school hip hop. Downstairs doesn't have many beer options and upstairs is sometimes a giant mess, but generally you'll have a good time

Went late night Friday, crowded, but not too crowded. No cover when I got there around 11. Came with a big group of 15, no issues getting in. Decent crowd, a little hipster/ratched, but still good time. Upstairs is more relaxed w/pool table, downstairs is more of dancing scene.

Let me tell you how I went with one of my girlfriends to go have a good drink or two and danced all night. I'm from the Bronx, so it was just a great experience I tell you. We were going to go somewhere else and then we decided, you know what let's go back to Maxfish cuz the line was long at the other place we were going to go next and when we first got to Max fish anyway there wasn't a lot of people but we still had room to dance. The drinks were cheap as hell and also the music was popping shout out to the DJ she was really really nice, an Asian woman. I really enjoy myself, never been there before in my life. I danced all night, literally, danced all night and I enjoyed myself to the fullest the crowd was good, there wasn't no fights, there wasn't no malicious people, nobody was arguing, everybody respected each other. Such a wonderful experience.... definitely going there again!

I love this bar. It's the only bar I frequent in the area and, honestly, the only bar I really enjoy going to alone. I am not an avid drinker but, because it is very friendly and the same faces come in on and off occasion - I've never felt (as a woman) unsafe or uncomfortable. My fave bartender is James. He is super chill, down to earth, makes a good whiskey sour, and is pretty good at pool. I don't drink often but, when I want to be sure I will have a good time without being harrassed I always go to Max Fish. Literally love this bar.

Cool music & vibes, fun decor. The night I went there were a bunch of younger folks, guys especially who acted a bit immature. Overall good time. The bartender downstairs was dope too

great dive bar, it's not supposed to be super clean or have great lighting or serve tapas, it's supposed to be dim, loud, invading, drinking beer in a can not glass and no straws! it's a crossroads where fashion meets musics meets the hood meets preppy meets hipster, meets skater. the music is great, art on the walls will have you looking more than the girl dancing infront of you.

Extremely dirty and musty. The bartender did not wash the glasses properly before reusing them, he just rinsed the glasses in the bar sink with water ALONE. The place smelled like an old dungeon and the music was horrible. Definitely not recommended for a good time, the health department needs to pay them a visit ASAP!
