The Ride-Along Report: First Takes From Last Night’s Dinner

"What It Is: A casual Southeast Asian spot in Palms Perfect For: Casual Weeknight Dinner, Cheap Eats We stopped into this small restaurant in a Palms strip mall barely a week after they opened and the place was already slammed. And for good reason - it’s a nice little neighborhood spot in a neighborhood without a whole lot of those. The food is Southeast Asian-inspired fusion: garlic egg noodles come topped with parmesean, Lao beef luc lac comes out looking more like Peruvian lomo saltado, and there’s also a burger on the menu. The Verdict: This is a great spot for a quick and tasty meal in Palms." - jess basser sanders, brant cox, brett keating

Mee & Greet Review - Palms - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Mee & Greet is a casual Southeast Asian spot that’s quickly become a neighborhood hangout in a neighborhood that doesn’t have a whole lot of those. The food is Southeast Asian-ish, so garlic egg noodles come with parmesean on top, Lao beef luc lac comes out looking more like Peruvian lomo saltado, and there’s also a burger on the menu. They’ve got a big selection of beer, a couple of wine options, and no cocktails, making it a nice spot for a catch-up with friends when you’d all like a drink, but would also all like to be in bed by 9pm." - Jess Basser Sanders

A Groovy New Southeast Asian Restaurant Slides Into Palms - Eater LA

"Palms has a cool new spot for Southeast Asian cuisine, and it’s called Mee & Greet. From Humble Potato founder Eric Ong, the casual evening restaurant takes over a former doughnut shop on the other side of the strip mall as Kogi Taqueria. It’s a huge get for the neighborhood, which already sports Southeast Asian restaurants Simpang Asia, Phorage, and Mr. Sate. Chef Minh Phan serves a tight menu of Vietnamese, Peranakan, and Singaporean dishes like Hainan chicken rice, pho with sliced filet mignon and sauteed brisket, and garlic noodles. A turmeric fried chicken comes right out of the Indonesia food lexicon while a bo luc lac saltado melds Peruvian and Cambodian influence. For the less adventurous, a 7 ounce burger comes with sambal aioli, roasted garlic relish, and caramelized onions. It’s a reasonably priced, easy-going affair that totally works for the neighborhood. Though the space is rather small, it’s got a handy bar serving craft beers and a few wines. Mee & Greet opens June 9 at noon, with happy hour specials all throughout the opening weekend, plus one complimentary shared plate for early guests, and even a t-shirt giveaway." - Matthew Kang

Google
We’ve had this twice in a week 🤣 it’s SO YUMMY! The new hawaiian-inspired menu is my favorite, the garlic shrimp is legit. And the folks who work here are so warm and friendly, a real local’s spot!

Google
Pretty awesome that they have 3 restaurants in one. It was also awesome that they made a fusion one menu to another... I'm happy to stumble upon this quality kitchen. You can taste the quality in the food. I'd say if you are thinking about trying it, go for it. Enjoy & spread the word cause places like this deserve to thrive.

Google
Excellent food, we ordered a bunch of dishes and loved every single one. Pho Beef Noodle Soup, Garlic Noodles with Filet Mignon* that beef just adds to the dish don’t skip it, Mee Goreng for my semi spicy lovers, Hainan Chicken Rice, so fresh and rich in flavor. All ahhhmazing options. Drinks: Iced Grass Jelly was bomb! Thank you to our amazing Server, she was wonderful. Very grateful for the experience!

Google
The Laksa Chicken Noodle soup…. WAS THE GREATEST NOODLE SOUP I’ve ever eaten in years!!! It was sooooooooo tasty and delicious! I literally ate everything and drank the whole bowl of broth! I am so happy. Thank you so much for making such amazing foods for us humans to enjoy! :’) can’t wait to be back and try more dishes!

Google
Yummy food in a cool and cute atmosphere! I liked the music they played and the comfy booth seating. There’s no signage outside yet, so it’s a bit hard to find. The restaurant name is written in small letters on the door. Nice free parking in the strip mall parking lot. The French fries are perfectly cooked with crispy outsides and soft and fluffy insides. Came with two dipping sauces. The pork belly banh mi sandwich is made with very fresh and tasty bread. The meat is tender and flavorful but very salty. The nasi goreng is really tasty and not too spicy. The pickled vegetables were sweet and a nice crunch mixed with the oily fried rice. The staff is really nice and attentive. Great place for lunch!

Google
I was very pleasantly surprised by the meal I had here. I read a lot of good press about Mee & Greet, which is why I wanted to go as soon as I could, but still wasn't sure what to expect. Basically everything exceeded expectations. Started with the chicken wings - they were very tasty but ultimately my least favorite thing we had (not a knock at all). Then the garlic noodles - these were awesome. They actually had a ton of flavor compared to most garlic noodles, which end up being fairly bland. Definitely get these. Lomo saltado - maybe my favorite thing we had. Really, really tasty and everything worked well together. Burger - also really good. the onion compote (or whatever it was) gave it a really good flavor that was something new compared to your standard cali burger. Hainan chicken - definitely very tasty. the rice with it was really good as well, and the sauces on the side is what put it over the top. Tom rang muoi - very good fried prawns. Really interesting crust on them that gave it a very unique flavor. Very different from the other dishes we had and I really liked that. Music - really great music and it's nice to go somewhere that you can actually hear yourself think, but I also feel they could turn it up a notch (I never thought I'd say this about a new restaurant!). They're playing great tunes but you can barely hear them. Overall a great time with great food and company. the service was incredibly friendly as well. excited to go back and see if they add anything new to the menu!

Google
Food looked and smelled good but the taste was meh. The wings was the best dish we had. You could aslo order from 2 other restaurants there. Humble potato and some hawaiian bbq menu. The srver was very nice. Some coversations may not be appropriate for an open ktchen setting on a slow day.

Yelp
these dishes are amazing for splitting so you can try more items off the menu. The bo luc lac was well seasoned and slightly sweet, but the real star was the char kway teow! The flat noodles were the perfect qq texture and had great crunch from the vegetables mixed through. The seating is on the smaller side, with some additional room at the bar. Service was very quick because it wasn't busy that night!

Yelp
Couple blocks away from our place so we gave it a short. Went during lunch time and surprisingly we were the only customers. We were seated quickly and food came out fast. Clean atmosphere so definitely five stars! Food was great too, and initially I didn't think it was going to be enough, but ended up taking some Togo! If you're undecided, I highly recommend you choose what I posted. Savory and flavorful. Only thing is I did want to try Minh's pho, but apparently the chef retired and took the recipe with him. Unfortunate! Overall I give it five stars and highly recommend.

Yelp
AMAZING food. We ordered the mee goreng and the laska chicken noodle soup on DoorDash. Both dishes were devoured in minutes. We wished we got more. It didn't take too long to get the DoorDash which was nice.
google avatar

Talia S.

Yelp
Great service and food! The rice in the chicken and rice was so fluffy. The pho had delicious broth. The pork belly delicious. Would come back. Super friendly staff - home cooking feels.
google avatar

Ashok K.

Yelp
Really like the South East Asian food prepared here. Specifically the Hainan Chicken Rice. I make a regular visit here to try this dish and think it's very authentic.
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
I ordered the organic chicken pho and it wasn't the best pho ever, but it hits if you're in West LA and can't get to the 626 area. The waitress was also very attentive to us.
google avatar

Mahsa S.

Yelp
Mee and Greet is both a full service restaurant and great for takeout! Their menu has a lot of creative dishes with plenty of vegetarian options too. While the restaurant is small, it's not very crowded and the service is super quick. My favorite dish is the Garlic noodles, which are super garlicky and filling. The fries and tofu are also good appetizers for a group. They have happy hour during the week with deals on drinks and appetizers too
google avatar

Kiki K.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for lunch and we both enjoyed the food. The plaza had its own parking lot so it was very convenient. We came around 1 on a Friday and there were plenty of seats. We were helped and seated immediately. They had a variety of south asian cuisine. I got the Char Kway Teao and my friend got the Hainan Chicken. Both dishes were pretty solid and prices were far.

Jasmine U.

Yelp
Ordered the Ma Jiang Noodle. That's like 3 servings of noodle and 2 oz. of chicken. How is this worth $18? Adding extra meat to this dish would cost $8-$10 more. So outrageous! The flavor of the dish is good, but not outstanding. $18 is unwarranted! Wouldn't order again unless there were improvements to the serving size.

Wendy H.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. But the food was pretty bad. The garlic noodles tasted like pasta with some garlic powder. And for $18, it was a very small portion. Chicken bits were bland, and the pink sauce that was served with them didn't help. We had asked for utensils and seasoning packets, which were not in the bag. Overall, very disappointing. Would not order from there again.
google avatar

Howard K.

Yelp
2.5 stars rounded down. This was my first time trying this place. I ordered a Hainan Chicken Rice, Bo Luc Lac Lomo Saltado, and Tumeric Wings, totaling around $70 with tax. Portion sizes are ridiculously small for what these guys charge. The Saltado came with 10 tiny pieces of steak, and Hainan chicken barely had any rice or chicken. While the rice was flavorful, they forgot to include the chili sauce and chicken broth, making the Hainan chicken dry and bland. Tumeric chicken was ok, but you could barely taste the tumeric. Strongly suggest sticking with Mario's or El Pollo Inka for lomo saltado and Savoy for Hainan chicken rice. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Jeff T.

Yelp
Bold flavors on the Westside. Definitely liked the mi goreng noodles over the pho ga (chicken pho). They strangely didn't have bean sprouts for lunch so we gladly substituted with more spinach. The Hainan Chicken was good too. Service was fast. The ambiance was modern.

Yelp
TLDR: When an Asian restaurant makes the bold move of featuring a burger, you know the team is confident it's gonna be good. And they delivered on that promise. Honestly, I can't even review anything else because this is all I had the 2 times I visited. Fat, juicy, flavorful burger. It's just the pure relationship between you, beef, and bun. One of my top burger choices. Maybe the other food is good too, I may never know!
google avatar

Melody W.

Yelp
If you're searching for something authentic tasting I'm not confident this is the best place. I ordered the nasi goreng and my boyfriend got the burger. Nasi Goreng was like a like a 1.5/5....it really didn't have any taste (authentic nasi goreng is very spicy and flavorful) and they included pickled veggies??? Totally did not balance the taste. but the burger was good according to my boyfriend. Service was meh...the waitress/hostess came to our table and slapped the menus on the table so hard I was taken by surprise lol. Definitely not a good way to start.

Y. L.

Yelp
I really want to love this place and hope the owner sees this review. My biggest complaint is the quality of food is not consistent, 3.5 no more than 4 stars at best. I mostly order Hainan Chicken Rice here which is one of their most famous dishes. I'm a big fan of Hainan Chicken and any steamed chicken dishes. But I'm sorry to say 3 times out of 4 I was disappointed by it. The chicken is overcooked and so dry. I even asked for dark meat and it's still quite dry. Steamed chicken isn't supposed to be cut this way- what a mess and a great way to dry it out. The rice is a bit undercooked and over seasoned. The chicken broth is way too salty and even sour (?!), also very greasy. Hainan chicken rice's chicken broth is supposed to be light because the rice is supposed to be cooked with chicken grease so the broth is meant to be light and balance it out. If I crave hainan chicken I'd order it from Little Fatty, they do make it better and with a bigger portion (more expensive yes) but they don't offer the chicken broth. So if Mee and Greer's chicken broth continues to underperform I'd have to give it up and choose little fatty over it. It was so salty that I had to pour it out. I got the braised pork rice once and while the pork was well made, the portion was TINY for the price. I hope they improve though. Willing to give it one last try.

Yelp
This place was decent. Cute ambiance, not busy during the weekdays at all. The server is very nice! We went during happy hour so $2 off certain items and bundle deals (but with beer). The Nasi Hornet was amazing. The hainan chicken rice was okay... super gingery just fyi.

Levi H.

Yelp
This has got to be a joke. $20 + tax for the smallest banh mi I've ever seen. And it was totally burnt. The pork it self was the only redeeming quality. Unfortunately there's almost none on the sandwich. Really seems like they don't care at all.
google avatar

S O.

Yelp
The garlic noodle was so salty I couldn't even finish my bite. The burger with fries was ok, but also got too salty in the end. The hainanese chicken was just unfortunate - the rice lacked flavor and the chicken was bland and rubbery. Both my partner and I felt nauseous and had major stomachaches after eating there. Would not recommend - there are much better options for Asian food elsewhere in the area.

Yelp
I usually dine in at Mee and Greet, and it's always a fantastic culinary experience, easy to get to and park at. The service is friendly and food is fresh. The portions and pricing meet my expectations to complete satisfaction. There was never a reason to not take the time to journey to Overland Avenue on the Westside of Los Angeles. I had a craving for Mee and Greet recently and decided to order via an online delivery service (Grubhub), and at first I was worried if I made the right decision since going to Mee and Greet is about a good vibes atmosphere and the food comes hot and fresh. I pondered if getting the food delivered would compromise any of the high quality experiences I'm accustomed to. Fear Not !!! Mee and Greet's food is PERFECT when using delivery services. The food is packaged to perfection and the food tastes just as good as the restaurant but can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. I tend to over-order when having food delivered, and with Mee and Greet, you might consider doing the same. Tonight's "Leftovers" you can't finish becomes Tomorrow's delight for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner to enjoy. The food stays tasty and you're rewarded by Round Two, a second serving of your favorites. I recommend the Mad for Garlic Noodles and Minh's Pho Noodles as base "must have" entrees (perfect for sharing, so if you have a family, you might want to do a double portion order so nobody fights over these delicious noodles. I also always get the Bo Luc Lac Saltado, as I do love the marinated taste of the beef with so many flavors and the french fried potatoes. My 6 year old son loves the Yan Su Ji (Popcorn Chicken) which is way healthier than any chicken nuggets and tastier than any American styled chicken strips, as well as the Tofu Family Style (Disclaimer, my son loves Japanese Agadashi Tofu, and finds these equally as delicious). Oddly, he says he doesn't like Pork, but when we order the Lu Rao Fan (Pork Belly) he does't know what it is other than the fact it's so tasty and he pretty much dominates the dish, claiming it as his own to devour before we can even share :) I recommend coming to Mee and Greet, but an equally as enthralled by how awesome it is to have the food delivered too. I think, but am not sure, but heard that you can also order Mee and Greet through Uber Eats, Postmates, Bring Me That, Chow Now and Door Dash in addition to Grubhub... and probably the plethora of other food delivery services.

Yelp
New wave Vietnamese food? Great place with lots of interesting options that make you want to try it all. Parking is a little lot but you can manage. Portion sizes not crazy for price but you'll leave satisfied. Love the neon sign :)
google avatar

Brian V.

Yelp
This is a Pan Asian restaurant which feels to have heavy influences in Taiwanese and Vietnamese food. Friend that I was with is Taiwanese so we ended up ordering more items that were obviously Taiwanese influenced. I personally ordered the Hainan chicken rice. I wanted to try it because I ordered that same dish two times within the last few months so I'm kind of on a cake or just trying to compare different places. The flavors in the presentation of this place are definitely similar to the other places and the food is good here. My friend also ordered the spinach and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. We also ordered the garlic fries which were also very good. I enjoyed the chicken but I probably wouldn't need to order it again on the next visit. What I would like to try on the next visit though, are the dishes like the sautéed beef or bo luc lac. Heck, pretty much some of the other dishes that are Vietnamese in general. The place is easy to fine. It's located in the small strip mall in the Palms area. The lot itself could be a little scary to park in when busy, but there is a lot of street parking nearby as well. The price point is pretty decent, but it would be tough to come here too often. Definitely want to come back and try some more dishes though.

Yelp
The best hainan chicken rice and soup, nasi goreng and garlic noodles! They inspired me to try making my own Asian butter garlic dish at home. Better to just order from them lol wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. Small plaza parking lot with some limited additional spaces behind plaza.
google avatar

Susie H.

Yelp
Trying a new local place that was recommended by a friend. The menu looked good, not too many options. They have happy hour where you get $2 off selected items. Parking lot is small, it would be best to carpool or park near the residential area. Food - the lomo was a bit salty. The wings were excellent. The noddles were okay. Service - could have been better. We felt the server/hostess seemed bothered, annoyed and unfriendly. They greeted regulars and were more personable with them. It was not busy when we showed up, when we chose our table it was dirty. The server noticed and cleaned it. Then handed to us wet menus. Ambiance - modern style. Overall the experience could have been better. Pricing is about $13 & up. I would recommend ordering to go rather than eating at the restaurant. It seemed like most people did that.

Yelp
I haven't had Indonesian food before, so I was excited to see Mee and Greet served some of the dishes! I ordered the nasi goreng, and I also tacked on lu rou fan for dinner the next day. Soon enough, I got my order delivered! As I never had nasi goreng before, I was actually surprised that it taste a bit...sweet?? Maybe there was coconut in it, but again, I was taken aback by the sweetness in the fried rice dish. But plenty of lovely flavors in there, including garlic and shrimp paste. It was also beautifully-presented with a sunny-side up egg! The lu rou fan was deep and fragrant, excellent with the star anise that really stood out in the broth. Loved the tea egg stewed inside, and the braised pork was tender with the perfect fat-meat ratio. I think I enjoyed the lu rou fan more! Overall, a solid pan-Asian restaurant. I was glad to have gotten a taste of Indonesian food, and I'm curious to try out more dishes on the menu at Mee and Greet!

Yelp
Ok viet food for the location. But not really the best, pretty average. A fine spot for a quick takeout Chicken pho 7/10 Not bad, but nothing really special. The takeout was nicely put in a plastic bowl with the broth in the bottom, noodles and chicken on top. Saran wrapped for no spills. The chicken had dried garlic on it but it wasn't enough so I put more of my own. I would recommend heating the noodles in the microwave since they clumped together during the delivery. The broth I would boil on the stove then pour over your noodles to separate them. The sauces hoisin and sriracha were in their own separate containers. And the veggies the typical viet mix: bean sprouts, jalapeño, cilantro, sliced white onion and lime. No thai basil. I just put everything together in a bowl and poured the broth over. Again it was okay. Just average chicken pho. Nothing wrong with it!! Hainan chicken rice 7/10 Wish they provided cucumbers with the takeout version. It was really salty. Not really the best. I was a bit disappointed because the previous reviews were RAVING about it Tumeric fried chicken 7/10 Nice appetizer Pretty good! The chicken was evenly seasoned all the way. I could really taste the tumeric but it wasn't overwhelming.
google avatar

Kristine O.

Yelp
I've lived so close to this place for years, so it was high time I finally checked them out. This is a general casual Southeast Asian restaurant (seems to be a mashup of Viet and Indo cuisine?), a little bit on the pricy side. I tried the Hainan chicken rice and it was pretty good! Chicken wasn't as perfectly poached as I would've liked and I found the rice to be a little dry, but the flavor was still there. Service was super friendly and I found the restaurant to be nice and clean. I drive by this place all the time and they never seem to be too crowded too, which is nice. They have a Happy Hour, where some menu items are $2 off (like their chicken wings), and there's a front parking lot and a back parking lot, which I've always been able to find a spot in this plaza. A decent spot in the heart of Palms!
google avatar

Simon L.

Yelp
The price to value to taste ratio here is way off. The food is tasty and flavorful but not unique enough to charge the insane premiums they are (and with below average portion sizes). We loved everything we tried though, so lots of kudos to the chef.
google avatar

Cass J.

Yelp
Didn't catch our server's name tonight but he couldn't have been more kind, chill, and accommodating! Only 2 other people besides us on a Tuesday night at 7pm. Portion sizes could be bigger (minus one star) but food was excellent and hanan chicken meat was moist. All three of us were happy with our food!
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
Come here come here come here!! The cheeseburger is the best! Always greeted with smiles and a helpful staff. The inside is very modern and offers a variety of beers and wine. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything here. My sons both love the chinese chicken salad and the garlic noodles are the best! I hate pasta but would get these every time! Just go already you won't be dissatisfied
google avatar

Morris D.

Yelp
Food: We came here for the Hainan Chicken Rice and I will say it did not disappoint. The rice was perfectly cooked and the chicken was tender. I am a huge fan of the ginger sauce for the Hainan Chicken! We also ordered garlic fries that was perfectly seasoned. Service: Nothing out of the ordinary. We did come an hour after closing so it was a bit slow. Ambiance: Cool little spot. It is modern with a lot of seating. Parking: There's a parking in the plaza but very limited.
google avatar

Callie S.

Yelp
Cute little cafe style restaurant. Parking was a bit tough so have to loop around and found street parking. Fried tofu was tasty and the sauce goes great on it. The popcorn chicken was good. The hainanese chicken was also delicious and came with a soup. Quick and friendly service.
google avatar

Kariann T.

Yelp
Some of the meals are pretty hit and miss (namely the soups, the laksa as well as the nasi goreng). However, when it hits, it HITS. The chicken rice is one of the best in LA for sure.
google avatar

Sky T.

Yelp
Good little Asian restaurant in Palms/Culver City. Friendly service and a small shared parking lot out in front. The Pho was fine, but already pre-garnished. I prefer the garnishes on the side as well as the Sriracha and Hoisin sauce, but that's my personal preference. To me it was a bit overpriced compared to others spots in the area. I'd probably get something other than Pho here since they have an interesting menu. Another time!
google avatar

Sheen H.

Yelp
The food is flavorful, fresh and delicious! We made this our weekly dinner place. The service is always amazing and friendly! They are attentive to any dietary restrictions as well! Thank you!

Adrian M.

Yelp
Mee and Greet is a Pan Asian eatery with a touch of Singaporean, Indonesian, Taiwanese and Vietnamese flavors. Their food is so delicious and authentic, and the service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is minimalist but warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I ordered their ribeye pho, Ma Jiang noodle, Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese slow braised pork belly), Nasi Goreng and their house special bo luc lac saltado. We were all blown away by the food! Definitely will recommend to everyone I know! Excellent work guys!!
google avatar

Thessa V.

Yelp
I've had this on my wishlist on the west side for some time and I'm super delighted it happened! Love that you can enjoy some good beer or wine with the dishes. I got the garlic noodles and wings and enjoyed its staple solid style- not too strong on the flavors for the general public. I personally like a stronger oomph on the flavor but it does the job. I'm looking forward to my next try to do some of the gorengs and maybe the happy hour!
google avatar

Nikki O.

Yelp
We came here since we were in the area and wanted to make it an LA day. We were craving noodles and kept searching and searching till this caught our eye. Beware: the parking is small and most spaces are meant for compact cars so be careful no one nicks your doors. The restaurant is cool inside. They have a huge picture of Beastie Boys and a neon sign on the wall. The food was amazing and smelled yummy. Funny thing was I was smelling everything with my mask on and the host noticed. My bad!!! We ordered the Mad for Garlic noodles and that was yummy. So much flavor and great taste. We also ordered the Bo Luc Lac Saltado and that was also great. We added steak to our order and it paired nicely. We will def be back though to try out the Turmeric Fried Chicken and Chicken Hainan. Till next time Mee & Greet!!!

Yelp
Love this place. Their burger is really delicious. Of course their Asian dishes are all great but I like their burger and fries sometimes!
google avatar

Yelp
Always delicious & quick This hidden gem is satisfying for a quick bite or a hang out and happy hour with wine or beer with friends Love Mee and Greet They're in a tiny shopping center with no sign. In fact there was a rumor they were closed - not so! Very much open and kicking!

Yelp
Ambiance: simple yet modern decorations, chic and comfortable vibes, restaurant bar setup with open kitchen, serving asian fusion style and casual comfort food Service: friendly and accommodated with specific requests Food: simple menu items with popular items listed Nasi Goreng - **** Indonesian style fried rice, organic chicken, sambal belacan, kecap manis, sunny side up fried egg, acar, light and sweet taste, good with the mixed vegetable pickle, recommend Price: generous portions and affordable prices, expect $20 per person

Yelp
This place could use some signage. There's no sign outside to let you know where the restaurant is. It's located on the side closest to Palms Blvd. Parking can be a bit tough if you come during peak hours. Not to mention, the parking stalls are super small. I got the nasi goreng (Indonesian fried rice) and I thought it was ok. I appreciated the runny yolk which was nice when you mixed everything together. It's a decent portion for the price. Overall, I thought this place was decent for Asian fusion.

Yelp
Dinner # Two @ Mee & Greet. M & G has a legit IG Game so we ordered take out during the FauxDemic to try those garlic Noodles with the add filet minion. Our to go experience was a little meh. By the time we got it home it lacked pizazz. Could taste the potential, but needed an in house hot outta the wok experience. Fast forward, post vaccination nation for a dine in opportunity. Place is hard to find, well under signed, just very small wording on the door and slightly bigger logo on a side window. Guess the landlord is a dick and didn't want to spend the dough. Let's get to the Foooooood. Amazing. Great service tonight. Lots of questions answered, recommendations and good vibes. Yam Su Ji. Popcorn chicken $7. Perfectly cooked. Crispy without a drop of grease on the paper in the bowl. Yum with tangy orangish sauce. Tofu Family Style. $10. Excellent. Crispy outside. Tender inside With a delectable sauce of soy, jalapeño and ?? Mad for Garlic. Noodles. $11. Garlicky, buttery and nice chew. Winner. Lu Rou Fan. Pork Belly with rice and boiled egg. $14 PB was ultra flavor. Slightly sweet. Chinese 5Spice. No Luc Lac Saltado. Taiwanese Steak frite. Filet, French fries, onion, tomato in salty sauce. With rice & fried egg. Solid. Salty. Meaty. Saucy. Food is excellent. Probably 5 stars. My only complaint tonight was a stale beer. It happens especially with slow in house dining scene. Dining room was quiet but take out was steady. There was a happy hour sign posted but No Happy Hour. Would you like me to take that down for ya? Parking is tight in front. An additional lot behind.

Yelp
Hubbers and I were here for one reason only: A Yelp Elite Perk. But as we studied the menu, we knew we were getting more than just the perk. The names alone were very appealing! ORGANIC CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD: The dressing was very light and refreshing. The fried wontons were a nice touch. Chicken was lightly salted. The veggies were fresh. This is a fantastic starter. NASI GORENG: I now understand why they chose this as the perk because WOW. The dish is impressive with the mix of flavors very well put together. There were many different kinds of flavors and seasoning in here which all complimented each other for a well-balanced umami! A definite must-have should there be a next time. M&G BURGER: Not really sure why Hubbers got this, but I didn't take more than a bite, and the bite that I got was good. The patty was seasoned right and juicy. Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't terrible either. MAD FOR GARLIC: We both wondered what this was and were told they're garlic noodles. They are true to their word, this dish screamed out garlic with every bite. The pasta was good to a perfect al dente and although there was a vigorous amount of garlic, it was never overpowering. Highly recommending this as well. FOOD: 5. There was nothing we didn't like. SERVICE: 4. Very minimal but just right. I overhead our server explaining to the next table what their cuisine is all about. That was pretty interesting. VALUE: 3. Fair for what they charge. PARKING: Small private lot shared with others. Street parking might also be available. OVERALL: 4. One thing I noticed was clutter (see attached picture) which made me question how often or how well they clean this place. (How is it already there when we just got there at opening hour?) I'm hoping they take cleanliness much more seriously as we are all still barely getting out of this pandemic. FUN FACT: Most Valuable Playa located near the airport and this place have identical menus as they are both owned by the same peeps. Good first run. Definitely making a stop for takeout should I be in the area.

Yelp
Yummy food in a cool and cute atmosphere! I liked the music they played and the comfy booth seating. There's no signage outside yet, so it's a bit hard to find. The staff is really nice and attentive. Great place for lunch!

Yelp
Food is always amazing. This place is so underrated. The beef side dish is a little pricy but so worth it. The staff is also very accommodating.

Yelp
Tasty Indonesian food in strip mall setting. Came here for dine-in on a Saturday and had a leisurely meal. We were hungry after hiking at the nearby Culver City stairs, and the food hit the spot. Parking was available in the small lot although it looked like there was some more parking in the back of the strip mall. Credit cards are accepted. Masks are required. Alcohol is available, including some local brews on tap. The Expatriate is a good option. As mentioned earlier, the food was delicious. The rice in the nasi goreng was heightened by the colorful pickled vegetables. The egg was soft and the chicken was tender. The mee goreng was similarly delicious - the noodles were chewy and the sauce it was in was savory-sweet. The employees were helpful and welcoming. Single-person bathrooms are available by the bar. There's a happy hour on weekdays with discounts on food. Overall, it's a good spot to have a casual meal or for some takeout.

Yelp
I came by on a Sunday at 6:00 and my order was ready in 10 minutes - very quick! Ordered: - Taiwanese popcorn chicken: I only live 10 minutes away but by the time I got home, the breading was already soggy. I wish there was more zing to the breading flavor but the chicken was moist! - Nasi Goreng: This was delicious! I absolutely loved the acar and the flavor of the fried rice was phenomenal. I appreciated that the yolk of the fried egg was runny. According to the menu, there should have been chicken but my dish only had egg (fried and scrambled) and acar. So halfway through I was just left munching on plain fried rice. It was still good but definitely missing something.

Yelp
Came here with my co-workers for lunch as he recommended it. It is a simply decorated place, clean and modern. The waiter was friendly and prompt. Saw that they have Hainan Chicken and definitely I had to try it as I've been searching for the best Hainan Chicken around. My co workers ordered the Bahn Mi and Ru ro fan. I liked the Hainan chicken as it was light and comes with soup, which is a plus. I asked my co workers about their meal and the Ru ro fan was good with the fatty pork. The Bahn Mi was a So So because the baguette was not crispy enough. Over all a good experience but with west side prices.

Yelp
This is belated review but I loved visiting Mee and Greet! Great music and atmosphere and the service is really great as our guy was super friendly and on top of everything. We got the tofu dish that was fried and drizzled with a green onion/soy sauce/oil sauce and it was amazing. The texture was so crisp and light on the outside but soft inside and it blew my mind. My mom never made tofu this good LOL
