The 18 Best Restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky | Eater

"Chef Noam Bilitzer, originally from Israel, began bringing Eastern Mediterranean flavors to Derby City through pop-ups at Wiltshire on Market. After the longtime Louisville restaurant closed its doors, Bilitzer took over the cozy space, opening Meesh Meesh in 2023 and earning a James Beard nomination for Best Chef Southeast this year. The menu boasts flavors from Palestine, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and other cultures, including shawarma-spiced chicken thighs, harissa grilled shrimp, and herbaceous falafel. Don’t miss the hummus with schug, crudites, and herb tehina, and finish your dinner with some Turkish coffee and warm chocolate babka. Know before you go: It’s best to plan ahead, as reservations book up quickly." - Lennie Omalza

We celebrated my birthday here and had a phenomenal experience! We opted for the Shetha course, and every dish was vibrant, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The staff went above and beyond — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Without a doubt, one of the best meals we've enjoyed in Louisville!

Get your reservation now. This place was so good from start to finish, I can’t recommend it enough. The Shefha is the way to go, as it allows you to try a great mix of options on the menu. The waitress was great in not only explaining the menu, but taking care of things throughout the meal. Every dish was prepared well and all of the items were delicious. And it’s a ton of food so you will leave full. The cauliflower, hummus, yoghurt, chicken, and dessert were some of the standouts. Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in Louisville.

I booked a reservation three months out (all that was available due to the high demand) but WOW was it worth the wait! The food was absolutely amazing and unlike anything I'd had before, cocktails were flavorful and unique, and the service was first class. My husband and I did the shefha experience where it is a sampling of a variety of dishes and we were impressed with the variety of options and quantity of food. We ended up boxing some to go. Highly recommend ending the night with Turkish coffee to add to the unique experience. The staff were also very helpful with answering questions, explaining dishes as they arrived, and we're sure to ask for any allergies or dietery restrictions. Overall an amazing experience and I will be back!

Google
Food so good it feels it was prepared for a king. This restaurant is one of my top 3 now for sure. Everything i had the honor of tasting was so good I couldn't comprehend all the exquisite flavors that my head was trying to wrap itself around. The wait to get a table here is definitely worth it and everyone looking for one of Louisvilles best meals better start checking daily because it's worth it. I give this place a Gold Count Crest. Well deserved and thank you to the wonderful staff for the amazing experience and great food.

Google
Wow. Delicious food. My expectations were high going in and they were exceeded. The tuna tartar and chocolate babka were life changing, I would go back solely for those two things. Every single dish I tried was delicious and flavorful. It’s absolutely worth the cost to do the shefa! Our server was friendly and efficient. The only downside is it’s a small restaurant and we were seated quite snugly with other tables. Absolutely amazing experience, I already can’t wait to return!

Google
An amazing meal and experience. Food was unbelievable and A+ service. Once of the best meals I ever had in Louisville. We did the Shefha course for the table an it was wonderful, the crispy cauliflower was my favorite. Get the Arak after dinner drink, it was a cool experience. I cannot wait to go back!

I’ve heard so many people say that Meeshmeesh is the best restaurant in Louisville—or at least in their top five. Plus, Meeshmeesh has been named a 2025 James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast, so I figured White Day would be a great time to finally give it a try. First, I’ll admit—I'm a foodie with high standards. Let’s start with the one thing that truly surprised me: Brown Butter Knafeh I’m definitely not a fan of knafeh; it’s usually too sweet and heavy for me. But Meeshmeesh executed it perfectly. The combination of rich pistachio ice cream (which might just be the best I’ve had in Louisville), crispy pastry layers, the creamy cheese base, crunchy pistachios, and the fragrant hint of orange blossom made it feel well-balanced rather than overwhelming. Honestly, I have no complaints. This was the one dish that would make me want to come back. The 3D Valley Oxtail Hummus was definitely interesting—using oxtail with hummus instead of just the usual braised or stewed preparation was a nice twist. The caramelized onions and lemon added a subtle sweet-tart contrast, while the spices and hazelnuts layered in more depth. For the mains, we originally wanted the Branzino, but it was sold out. So I went with the lamb merguez, which I assume is one of their signature dishes. I’ll admit, it was solid—the grilling was spot on, the lamb was juicy and well-seasoned with no gamey taste, and the nuts added a nice crunch. But was it exciting? Not really. It was good, but nothing particularly surprising or memorable. As for the rice and salatim, they were just good. The portions were generous, but the rice was dry and hard, not something I’d go back for. Among the salatim, Pita, Amira’s pepper and spiced carrots stood out, but the rest were pretty average. We didn’t try the cocktails since we’re not big on cocktails. We picked a white wine from Turkey (or at least I think that’s where it was from—might be misremembering). Nothing particularly exciting. The service was fantastic—our server was incredibly attentive and checked on us often. The atmosphere? A bit too crowded and noisy for my taste. The space is tight, and you have to squeeze past tables carefully to avoid bumping into people. Overall, I don’t think this is a great spot for a date. So, how do I sum it up? Meeshmeesh is a good Mediterranean restaurant, but it didn’t leave me with that sense of excitement or surprise I was hoping for.

Google
What an absolute wonderful experience! Just like my video, if you want that Mediterranean experience this is the joint you need to add to your bucket list. The place is classy and very elegant, full of great people having a great time. I sat at the bar, started with an Old Fashioned, it was great! I came for dinner so got the rundown on the menu, wow, the staff were so knowledgeable with their food options, I was blown away. I ordered Fisher Farms Steak, wow! Came with the Salatim which any of the entrees come with the Salatim (on my pics, the round tray with all the options), you can see on the menu what they are and it comes with a piece of bread enough to it le all the options and flavors. The steam came out, a NY strip cut sliced up and a beautiful presentation. My only comment to my steak, it didn’t feel like a medium, more like a medium well but no big deal, it was that good! Finally for dessert, ordered the Warm Chocolate Babka, wow it was delicious! I would call for reservations if your group is larger than four and to play safe the restaurant can accommodate. I noticed on the left side of the restaurant, they also have outdoor patio sitting area which looked pretty cozy. To my people at the bar, Emily and J, thank you for being so kind! This is a Valdi approved joint! The experience was absolutely awesome!!!

Yelp
Hard to give this place enough praise. The food is excellent and flavorful and fresh and the staff are so knowledgeable and attentive.

Yelp
I will dream of the Salatim and the hummus for days and weeks to come. All of the food was seasoned perfectly. The Salatim had a spiced carrot slaw, charred beets, babaganoush, pickles and olives, hummus, etc. It did not have a bad bite. The pita bread was soft and fluffy. The hummus was creamy (and divine). The tuna tartare was fresh, citrusy, and a hint of heat. I've not had a better meal in Louisville and this is one of the best meals we've had -- ever. The space had a great vibe and the service was fantastic. Well done. Don't wait as long as we did to enjoy it.

Yelp
After I posted about a somewhat disappointing experience I had when trying Meesh Meesh, the owner (and chef!) Noam Bilitzer quickly and concernedly reached out to me and invited us back in for another meal. It was clear that he genuinely cared about us as patrons and about maintaining a consistent, high standard of excellence at his restaurant. He wasn't trying to placate me into updating my unflattering review. And, for the record, I've seldom ever done that. In this instance, though, I absolutely must make an exception. There is a lot of camaraderie and pride among the entire staff here. They all buy in to curating a great customer experience and they are eager to share their knowledge and furnish recommendations. I noticed this during my first visit and it was even more apparent during my second. We ordered the cauliflower and the smoked lamb hummus, both of which are superb. I've decided that the hummus in particular is the best hummus I've ever had. Rumor is around that soon Meesh Meesh will be making it available for sale to take home. If that happens, I'll be buying it with regularity. We gave the lamb merguez a try this time and it was very good. The flavors were well-balanced and the texture was pleasing without being gamey. The kitchen surprised us by additionally sending out what I believe was a cod entree. I do love white fish, but I generally won't order it at restaurants because in my experience, there's a ceiling on how interesting and flavorful white fish can be. But boy! Meesh Meesh checked both boxes here, and this fish dish was a rare treat! It was cooked perfectly, with a delightfully crunchy coating and a compliment of long-grain rice. When mixed into the accompanying turmeric sauce, the fish and rice intermingled to create a little piece of heaven. I'm so glad we got to experience this entree! The host, the bartenders, servers, and members of the kitchen staff all collectively checked on us and could not have been any friendlier. They even seated us at the bar after I totally dropped the ball and failed to send them a proper email confirming our reservation time (I tried to send one and discovered later that it didn't go through!) Everyone went above and beyond for us; I was so impressed and touched by the effort that I left a $40 tip. This is how a restaurant should operate. I got to see the side of Meesh Meesh which has earned it universal accolades. I'll certainly be returning to support them and their phenomenal food. Thank you for caring and for giving us a meal to remember!

Yelp
Best meal, service, vibes in Louisville. Cinnamon roll babka and hummus are game changers and the coffee service was on point! Modern and approachable

Yelp
Our group of friends meets to catch up and commune every couple of months over a meal and this particular dining experience is one of our best yet -- food, service, and atmosphere contributed to a memorable evening. This was a Friday night reservation for 7 PM and parking was a challenge, but eventually all 6 of us trickled in to the venue. I entered the restaurant and was immediately struck with So. Many. People. And a fairly high energy atmosphere and noise level. This would have been just fine and not unexpected with the popularity of a Friday night dining scene; however, we were in for a real treat. The surprise was that our group was blessed to be placed in a private dining room that felt like a calm oasis. Totally unexpected and greatly appreciated for our group gathering, which thrives on our ability to converse and catch up after time apart. We had also chosen this restaurant in part due to the shared family- style type dining experience. We started off with drinks and I ordered a Calypso cocktail, which is vodka, Curaçao, St. Germain, pomegranate, and lime. Perfect. Our waitstaff was friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions and answering questions, so this was a relief when approaching a less familiar cuisine. We began with Haifa hot chicken, embered beets, crispy cauliflower, smoked lamb hummus, and the salatim (which is a whole "thing" unto itself). Top notch presentation and phenomenal taste across the board. I would gladly repeat each of these dishes. Also, the pita was a delicious combination of fluffy tenderness and chewy goodness on its own, but served as the best vehicle ever to deliver so many tastes and textures. The salatim was the gamut of creamy to crunchy, mild to spicy, and fun to create varied flavors in every bite. I would summarize this meal as Thoughtful Eating and the polar opposite of dining in front of a big screen TV. It felt like a Friendsgiving held in June. We chose the entrees of grilled shrimp, shawarma chicken thighs, and lamb merguez to share. Once again, all of these dishes are repeatable without question. Aromatic, smoky, spicy, creamy, crunchy, acidic, and toasty. My suggestion to patrons considering dining here and to have a fantastic experience -- bring friends to share and sample multiple menu items (similar to a family dinner). By the time we settled up the bill ($55 each) and parted ways, we were all extremely satisfied and content. I would love to repeat this dining experience, but am happy to have had this one.

Yelp
Where to begin? One of the best dining experiences and it started with the hostess. I emailed before our trip to get in and they only had space on the waitlist. When I called the day of, they moved things around just to get us in. THANK YOU! The coolest thing is you can design your own meal. The small plates are enough to share and make a meal out of them or go big and get it all. Our favorites were the hot chicken, cauliflower and falafel. When you order a main item comes with a Salatim platter for the table. Best pita ever. We got shrimp and black cod for dinner. The cod came in this delicious sauce- save your pita to dip in there. Our waiter Colton was fabulous. Patient, kind and happy to explain and answer any questions. Put this at the top of your list when visiting KY!

Yelp
We visited for brunch, and I would give this place six stars if I could. The staff were incredibly friendly. We were a little early for our reservation, but they seated us anyway. The atmosphere is very nice and chill, very casual. They have a menu of cocktails and mocktails nearly as long as the food menu. We each tried different drinks, and they were all delicious. One of us got the Sabich Hummus Bowl, which had fried eggplant, crispy potatoes, a hard-boiled egg, and slaw over hummus. It was served with fresh pita bread. The other two got Batata Harra- a fried egg and crispy potatoes over cucumber yogurt. There was an option to add a lamb kebab to those dishes, which one of us tried. We also got the bagel platter to share- two house made bagels with cured salmon, smoked fish dip, cream cheese, and hummus. The food was delicious. The eggs were all cooked well and not runny. The fried eggs were crispy, as were the fried potatoes and even the fried eggplant. The bagel platter was also a hit, and we enjoyed trying different dips. Overall the experience was wonderful. Atmosphere, service, food, drinks- everything was a 10/10. We will absolutely be back.

Yelp
We got takeout with friends and it was delicious! I can't wait to go back and dine in--I've heard the ambiance is top notch. The food was amazing! Vibrant, flavorful, and beautiful. The pics speak for themselves, but do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Yelp
I rarely review restaurants but Meesh Meesh was so good that I felt I had to say something. One of the best meals I have ever had - period. Service and ambience were great but the standout was the food. Salatim is delicious, fun, and a wonderful value. Roasted eggplant was similarly incredible: smokiness complimented well by the tahini and tabbouleh. The cocktail was good but perhaps a little sweet for my taste. I'll attribute that too poor ordering on my part though.

Yelp
Make a reservation for sure. There's something here for everyone! From the moment you walk in you're greeted by a warm atmosphere with a warm welcome! I had a reservation at the bar top and Katie was the bartender that served me. She was absolutely wonderful and helped me out with my food selections! I was served the "Freedom Run Farms Lamb Merguez" which came with Salatim, pita, and spice rice! Danial brought out the Salatim (which I never had before) and was very kind and informative, letting me know each of the items on the tray in detail! Every taste was a new experience truly encapsulating the mediterranean cuisine! Everything I had tasted fresh and unique.

Yelp
I can honestly say, this dinner is in my top 3 best dining experiences. The food was unbelievable! The service was great and ambiance was so cute! I could truly rant on and on about how delicious everything was. The Brown Butter Knafeh still has me drooling. Honestly counting down the days until our next date night bc it will probably be here! GET THE TARTARE!

Yelp
Delicious! It's a small restaurant, so be sure to make a reservation just in case. We made one a week in advance but couldn't get anything earlier than 7pm. When we got in, it's wasn't busy but people came in and out as we sat at the bar. For starters, we ordered the falafel, beets, and labneh hummus. Flavorful! The only issue is that there's dairy in some of the menu items. I kinda wish I had asked the staff about it before we ordered since dairy typically irritates my stomach. We also got the salatim to share. It was pita with a bunch of things you could eat with it. But by the time we got it, we were both getting full. We also had two drinks each by that point. We decided on dessert as well though just to try! We shared the knafeh which came with a scoop of ice cream. It wasn't overly sweet which was perfect. Overall, I liked the vibe. It does get loud sometimes in there. But it's a nice-looking space. Even the bathroom was well-designed and clean! Staff was nice too. Helpful about the menu and attentive even though they were busy.

Yelp
Excellent! Great vibe, amazing drinks, delicious food. So many flavors and textures, your taste buds would be singing!

Yelp
This spot was a 10 out of 10 for us. I had no previous experience with type of food although my husband does as he was raised on this type of food and knows his way around these flavors. A bit trepidatious, we embarked on a incredible gastronomical tour of Syrian, Israeli, Libyan, Morocco, et al. We indulged in the Smoked Lamb Hummus, the Yellowfin Tuna Tar Tar in a pomegranate vinaigrette and the Arayes Meat-pie - all small plates. Too full for individual entrees, we split the Harrisa Shrimp served on quinoa tabouli salad with Toum. Every bite was a dream! Service was good. Very friendly staff who made this visit even better. We sampled the Pear Martini and the Rune Madjool prior to our meal. Both interesting and delish. Reservations recommended.

Yelp
This place is absolutely perfect! Everything from the space and decor, to the friendly service, and of course the amazing food! The flavors that Meesh Meesh throws at you are hard to beat and the presentation is top notch too. Their menu is varied enough to satisfy all your preferences or accommodate a dietary restriction. They have a nicely sized wine, cocktail, and beer list too...not too overwhelming but ample choices. I highly recommend planning ahead - you'll definitely need a reservation.

Yelp
Wow, first of all this place is adorable. We sat at the bar because we were dying for a reservation and couldn't get in anywhere else but it was so worth it! The bartender still gave us an amazing experience and service. I would love to sit out on the patio next time! The food here is well thought out and the flavors are really next level. You can tell by the addition of each sauce that the chef knows what they're doing. One of the best meals I've had in Louisville! The cauliflower really stole the show for the appetizers. We also tried the falafel, but between the two-- the gluten free fried cauliflower was phenomenal with garlic and turmeric (I think?) sauce. The vegetarian hummus was also great, but since the salatim included it we probably didn't need to order that much food haha. This place is great for people who like to share meals. We had so much food between the appetizers and salatim that we decided to share the salmon. Salmon had a nice crispy sear and I was a big fan of the fresh herbs. To top it off, we had the babka for dessert which is definitely worth it. If you're too full, take some to-go! Your future self will thank you.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood, Meesh Meesh! So glad to have you. What you need to know: This chef-driven Mediterranean eatery just opened at the beginning of September, so its probably best to make a reservation if you want in quickly. Take your chances walking in at the bar if you feel daring. The food is excellent! Bringing traditional flavors from the fertile crescent area of the Mediterranean, paired with locally sourced proteins and a seasons-based menu, you're in for a treat. The price on some of their larger protein based entree items were eyebrow-raising to this girl, but hey, in food as in all things you get what you pay for and here you're getting local, organic, high quality goodness. So be it. The wine list also comes from this same region and the bar staff helped me pick the right wine for my palate. Much appreciated. Standout items: the apricot Old Fashioned (and really the cocktail menu in general - including mocktails!), the smoked lamb hummus I could eat maybe every day, the schwarma chicken thighs were legit, and the salatim plate with pita and the cute little dishes surrounding it *come with* entree items and made dinner very fun. The staff was wonderful, including chef Noam Bilitzer who came out to personally check on every guest. Class act. Last thing - gender neutral bathrooms (let's make this a thing everywhere, please??) and the hand soap is on trend. I didn't know what Mediterranean hand soap smelled like until my Meesh Meesh experience last night but go try it and tell me I'm lying. For an 8 day old restaurant it felt like they'd been running for years. The space was lovely, the staff welcoming and thoughtful, and the food fantastic. This is an easy win on date night or girls' dinner out. Point being, bring friends, come hungry.

Pam A.

Yelp
Outstanding!! Impeccable service, scrumptious all around. Our highlights were the chicken mousse, black cod and babka. Well done, we'll be back!

Yelp
I've been anticipating this meal for a while and am soooo happy we finally made it. The restaurant looks pretty similar to the old Wiltshire with some nice tweaks and subtle nods to Mediterranean decor. The cocktail menu is full of surprises, I tried the Livin on a pear while boyfriend couldn't resist the Highlife with yuzu. We ordered all our dishes to shared including, hot chicken, zaatar fries, and the Fischer farms steak. All entrees are served with the Salatim platter (pita and all sorts of dips), so we had more than enough food. I couldn't help myself and also ordered the knafeh dessert. Everything was so good. I could've eaten the salatim as a meal, it was all very tasty. I also really enjoyed the hot chicken. Tip: We made reservations about two weeks out.
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
This restaurant is good, but it wasn't my favorite. It's a bit over priced. Everything g was cooked perfectly, but my chicken thighs were way too charred. The branzino was perfect. It's the only branzino I've had with the head attached which I've been looking for everywhere! The steak is good, but the sauce wasn't the best. I got the ice cream dessert they offer. It's way too sweet and had too much molasses in it. I think it's worth a try, but I don't foresee myself going back for food. I would however go back for drinks
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
If you are lucky enough to snag a reservation here, you are going to love it. The service, the ambiance, and the food were all top-notch. We had a party of 5 and split the following dishes (small plates and main dishes): Jerusalem artichokes, Brussel sprouts, lamb hummus, steak, mushrooms, and the grape leaf branzino. The pita bread was hot and fresh. Some of us also enjoyed a sparkling wine and port, others enjoyed each of the 3 mocktail options. For dessert we enjoyed the Malabi and knafeh. We all left just-a-bit too full. Everything was wonderful. This would also be a great, romantic date spot for 2. We look forward to returning again!

Yelp
Amazing food. Best middle eastern cuisine in town. Great service. Rum mejdool drink is The seating is bit tight but otherwise awesome place!

Yelp
Wonderful brunch! Enjoyed the shakshuka as well as the hot chicken. Definitely worth going to!
google avatar

Zac G.

Yelp
Blown away by this place. What a gem. Service was incredible, some of the best food I've had at a restaurant. The smoked lamb hummus is a non-negotiable. Lovely date night place, but would also be awesome to grab some small plates and cocktails with friends before a night out. You'll need a reservation, the bar seating had a surprising amount of space! Also, if you're a fan of cheap beer, they serve a 32oz. Miller High life shandy w/ yuzu juice that i'll order every time I come back.
google avatar

Justine M.

Yelp
Excellent addition to the Louisville / NuLu food scene this year. Really sharp service & thoughtfully balanced food and drinks (love the olive oil martini), which are accessible for a non-dairy eater. The branzino & hummus are my standouts so far but will be trying more of the menu. Appreciate the bartender let me try a vermouth spritz to come to the menu & will be looking for that in the future!

Yelp
We ate at Meesh Meesh first while they were a pop up and we're so excited to see they decided to open a permanent restaurant. We made reservations for two online for 5pm yesterday and arrived just before they opened. As we were being seated the host mentioned reservations right behind us but we would have plenty of time to finish our food. We thought that was strange but didn't think much of it until we heard her say the same to nearly everyone who entered after- going as far as telling couples asking to sit at the bar that there were reservations for the bar at 6:15. So that was strange and it makes people feel uncomfortable like you don't want the business. Having said that. We freakin love Meesh Meesh. The mixologist is a genius and makes fantastic mocktails! Our favorite is the Turkish Iced Tonic. It's so stinkin good!! We had the lamb hummus (chefs kiss ), salatim with extra fresh bread, followed by the lamb merguez and the shawarma spiced chicken thighs. The food is so fresh and flavorful. Will definitely come back. I believe since the restaurant has limited seating and most of it is bar seating this must be why they give what feels like a warning that time is limited even when their next reservation is an hour and 15 min away- it just doesn't come across well, but best wishes to them, it won't keep me from coming back and enjoying these delicious foods!!
google avatar

Rojo N.

Yelp
This may very well be the best restaurant in Louisville right now. No kidding. Everything was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and served by a very friendly and accommodating service staff. Bravo, Meesh

Yelp
Literally one of the best meals of my life! The beets dish, hummus, crispy cauliflower & steak was terrific. Best pita I've had & the Brown Butter Knafeh is hands down one of the greatest & most unique desserts I've ever had. Cannot wait to take friends to this place & I can't wait to go back & try the Hot Chicken. What a gift!

Yelp
I've been twice! And it's already one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville! Come for the Salatim alone! Strongly recommend the steak, whipped labneh, and Brussels!

Yelp
Okay everyone don't walk RUN TO MEESH MEESH. Seriously may be my new favorite dinner spot in Louisville. From the atmosphere, to the drinks to the food itself just an amazing vibe. The menu works together so well I don't know if you could go wrong. I have don't know what criteria it takes to get a Michelin Star or a James Beard award but this place deserves it. The chef and kitchen staff are ON STUFF (in a good way)! The service is top tier and the bartenders really make it warm and welcoming. Every dish costars very well together and work to elevate the entire meal. I will be back when my pockets don't hurt so much. Till next time!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Already one of our top faves in Louisville at less than a week old! Everything was standout, not one complaint. Excellent service-the ara yes was delayed and our server offered to cover it. Chef Noam comes off as a seasoned restaurant owner even though this is his first place. Don't forget to order dessert!! Chocolate Babka is to die for as is the knafeh which you can't find too many places Favorite dishes: Lamb hummus Scallop Crudo Zatar fries Arayes Steak Haifa hot chicken Lamb merguez I feel confident that the entire menu is bomb!

Yelp
Went here the first time before the official opening (still Wiltshire on Main). Was blown away by that meal. Definitely one of the best I have had in Louisville! Had eaten a few times at Wiltshire and it was always great. But this was over-the-top awesome. Went to Meesh Meesh this last Saturday and everything was just perfect. Spices were all perfect. And this place is not a bank breaker. With all they bring to the table two people can order an entree, split it, and eat really well. Only problem is that when everything on the menu is amazing, it is pretty hard not to order more. If you are unsure about anything go with the staff recommendations. But totally get the cauliflower.

Yelp
Meesh meesh is delicious! The best part were the appetizers, which we tried most of them and absolutely loved all of them. The beets appetizer was my favorite dish of the night. The cocktails were also well put together, and our group was really happy with all of them. The entrees were great as well, everyone seemed to enjoy theirs. Although, I ordered the lamb, and while it tasted great, it seemed to be overly expensive for the portion. I've made a very similar lamb dish at home and it's nothing really difficult or expensive, and for the small portion that Meesh Meesh offered, I was a little confused by the price. However, with everything else as good as it was, it's still 5 stars and I will happily go back.

Yelp
Delightful evening at Meesh Meesh! As we entered Meesh Meesh we were pleasantly greeted by friendly staff and seated in the relaxed courtyard. I was pleasantly surprised that we got in as the restaurant was hopping. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the menu. All main courses include a Salatim platter. Personal favorites from the platter were pickles, olives, spiced carrots and hummus. The meal included warm pita bread and spiced rice. The menu offers something for everyone including many vegetarian options. The best feature of Meesh Meesh is the abundance of healthy options. Looking forward to trying the Harissa Grilled Shrimp and the Fattoush salad!!

Yelp
Definitely make a reservation for this place! The drinks and food were both great! The entrees come with the shareable platter that has free refills, the pita refill is $2 a piece.

Yelp
Meesh Meesh is incredibly unique, don't miss it! The food is fabulous and the servers do a great job at explaining everything and making suggestions. Make a reservation because this is a small place and it is always packed. No draft beer, but they do have some available in bottles & cans. I had Bell's Two Hearted. We shared a lot of items and I especially loved the cauliflower. Save room for desserts too. The brown butter knafeh is not to be missed!

Yelp
Don't bother making a reservation for this restaurant. We made one 6 weeks in advance only to have it cancelled, with no reason offered, 10 days prior. Given we are a party of 7 it has been impossible to get another reservation at a popular restaurant.

Yelp
Unbelievably delicious! We have been waiting for Chef Noam to open this restaurant and he lives up to his reputation. I've been to the Middle East 6 times and this is as authentic as it gets. No wait - it's actually MORE flavorful than you get in the Middle East. I'm going back soon!!!

Yelp
They were Busy!!!!! But it was so cute and interesting and everyone including the owner Noam who met us at the door was very welcoming . Such a warm and friendly place! But we just had to wait 40 minutes because we didn't have a reservation. The owner Noam greater us very pleasantly and got us seated at the bar which was fine. We got to interact with the staff and Noam personally took care of us. We got some cocktails to start with a couple of small plates. I got the Tehina Washed Manhattan which didn't taste a bit like a Manhattan but it was so good and wonderful!!! We got a couple of small plates the Smoked Lamb Hummus which was so wonderful, All I can say is you gotta try it! Such great flavors! And we got the Lamb and Beef Arayes which were so tender and juicy and just delicious! We also got deserts. I know crazy talk! I got the Brown Butter Knafeh and my wife got the Warm Chocolate Babka. The y actually put her deserts in front of me and I started eating it and it was good but then we switched and I was in heaven! It paired so well with the Vajra Chinato it was amazing.

Yelp
I just got done eating at Meesh Meesh this evening and woah!!! I enjoyed this meal more than most I've eaten in Louisville. The lamb hummus was phenomenal and had such an amazing flavor profile. I can't remember my servers name but he was incredible and made sure we had a great time and talked us through our meal! They had a bourbon cocktail on special that was delicious along with many amazing cocktails like the calypso my friend tried. I will def be back

Yelp
The service was friendly and top notch, the food was amazing and the atmosphere is cozy and well curated. The mains come with a plate of dips, pita, and marinated cabbage, olives, pickles that are delicious. If you are vegetarian or vegan they have a good selection and the staff makes great recommendations. The wine selection pairs well with the food and the cocktails are tasty! I would got back to Louisville just to eat there again.

Yelp
The ambiance feels like you found yourself in a different city. The service was attentive, respectable and incredibly helpful. The food is so good I keep returning once a month just to try everything and new items!

Yelp
We were greeted and luckily there was a free table before an incoming reservation so they accommodated us. Hands down the best meal I've had in Louisville!!! The Lamb Hummus, beet appetizer, whole bronzino and salatim were off the charts. I plan on returning to Louisville(we live in Cincinnati) with the sole purpose of returning to Meesh Meesh. Exceptional food, amazing service and a comfortable atmosphere! If there was 10 stars I would give them 20!

Yelp
Amazing!!! You have the get the chicken liver toast!!! Best thing on the menu. The Haifa chicken is great, I have not had a dish that I haven't liked. We have been to dinner multiple times and brunch once and it's always good.

Yelp
A pleasure! One of my favorite dining experiences as of late. So many vegetarian options, it was hard to decide which to save for next time. Make your reservations well in advance.

Yelp
Everything was delicious, unique, and super interesting both in flavor and texture. Beautiful presentation and very non pretentious attitude. Might be my new favorite restaurant in louisville. We had the beet app first, super unique flavors and fantastic whipped goat cheese. The salad plate was fantastic as well as the pita that came with it. For the entree we had the Marguez sausage that was cooked perfectly and was wonderfully complemented by the dill yogurt. Can't wait to come back and try the rest.

Yelp
Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had anywhere. The hummus was phenomenal, as was the main course. One of the best restaurants in Louisville, and the service and ambiance were also elite.
