If you're just looking for standard taqueria fare, this place is not for you. They offer an interesting variety of super-tasty tacos and burritos filled with "guisados", which are slow-cooked dishes featuring meat and/or vegetables in a sauce. The blue corn and flour tortillas are house-made and have great flavor and a fresh texture. There are several guisados on the menu including a few vegetarian versions, plus specials.
I tried the Turkey Mole, Chorizo & Nopales, and Steak Ranchera tacos (only served in groups of three) which were all fantastic! Other luscious looking options were Yellowtail Veracruzano, Shrimp Poblano, Smoked Marlin, Chicarrone Ranchero, Beef Lengua Amarillo, and Short Rib Birria, plus rice and beans. I didn't catch the three veggies options.
The burritos are Norteno-style (Northern Mexico), which is a streamlined burrito focused on excellent tortilla quality and just a few simple, flavor-rich fillings.
There are a couple of tiny cups of unique salsas available, but they're not really needed. The only thing missing for me was fresh chips and salsa. It's mainly a take-out place, with three small tables inside and two outside, and I think they do catering. Hopefully they'll open a bigger space soon!
