"Appropriately set inside a former tortilla factory, this restaurant mixes Oaxacan- and Mayan-style dishes from chef Nico Sanchez. The Budin Azteca, something of a tortilla lasagna, and Cochinita Pibil (braised pork) are absolutely transporting, and the serrano-berry margarita is incredible (hell, try the avocado one, too). The lush patio is perfect for an afternoon cocktail, and there’s a cute, casual small taqueria, La Ventana, where you can get street tacos and drinks. "

Where to Eat the Cheesiest Dishes in Dallas

"The top queso contender in Dallas is a hot button topic, but Meso Maya never disappoints. With melted Chihuahua and pepper jack cheese and poblano chiles, nopales and fresh corn, you’ll never settle for the Velveeta stuff again. Get wild and add a pile of smoky brisket for an extra $2." - Allison Castloo

I really enjoy the food here.Their shrimp ceviche is my fav out of any other places in dfw. One of the few places that actually has authentic mexican food and the drinks are great too. Service can be slow sometimes, but the food never misses. They have a cute patio as well, and parking is validated.

I didn't try anything that changed Mexican food forever, this place just served Mexican food I'm familiar with but at an elevated level of quality. My drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert were all great. The meat was well seasoned and flavorful. I wanted Mexican food with a upscale / premium feel and that is exactly what I got. 5 stars.

We went here for our anniversary and it was perfect! The host asked if we had a reservation but even though we did not he was able to assist us and seat us right away, I had to green chicken pozole and my husband had the mole chicken enchiladas. I also asked for side of rice and black beans which were delicious. The restaurant was very clean, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It would be great if they have a seating area for like couples a little more separate from the other tables it was pretty loud I can say, because it’s a family oriented restaurant. But overall the experience was great we definitely will come back!

OMG, best Mexican find in Dallas – Meso Maya is a must-try! The table setup was beautiful, and we instantly felt the vibe. Loved the fresh, crispy chips with salsa (especially the jalapeño salsa – our fave!). The avocado margarita was so unique with a bold tequila kick. Enchiladas and tacos were super flavorful too. Service was quick, kind, and patient. If you’re in Dallas and craving Tex-Mex, don’t miss this spot!

This restaurant boasts a delightful menu of Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere is exquisitely designed to create a welcoming, upscale ambiance. Our server was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided outstanding service. Excellent drinks are also available. The portion sizes are appropriate for the caliber of the restaurant. The elegantly crafted and presented dishes provide a truly satisfying experience.

We stopped in here for lunch, and were seated right away. The meals and appetizers were tasty. The service started out good, once we asked for our check, that’s where it went downhill. After asking for the check, we didn’t see our waitress for about 10 minutes. We flagged down someone else to ask for our check. She dropped it off and advised we can pay at the tae with the barcode. Since we still have not seen our server we were going to pay on the table so we could get out of there. Upon scanning the barcode it gives you the total with a service fee for using the barcode. At that point I walked to the host stand to have them run the card without the additional fee. We were finally able to get out of there shortly after that. Also, don’t sit in the first or second booth next to the host stand when you walk in. The ac unit drips on the booth and splatters onto your back. Even with the server disappearing at the end and the vent condensation, we would absolutely return here.

Google
Really glad I was invited to join friends here for lunch as the dishes here are prepared w excellent ingredients and thoughtful combinations of flavors while still honoring some of the timeless aspects in favorites we crave in authentic Mex-mex alongside more modern Tex-Mex creations we’ve come to love. Friendly laid back service in an easygoing no frills space that is warm and comfortable. Can’t wait to get back and explore some more!

Google
We had several items off the menu , however the Camerones a la diavala , were incredible . Savory , sweet with a great bit of heat and warmth on the back of the palette . The Metzlan blue shrimp were massive and perfectly cooked . Service and staff were attentive and very welcoming .

Yelp
Super attentive, delicious food, great cozy vibe and an amazing experience. Our server Citlaly was superb! So patient and helpful through our whole course. I would definitely come back here again and would greatly recommend! 10/10!

Yelp
I was visiting Dallas and on the hunt for the best tacos. We started with the guac and chips for the table. While the guac was on the simpler side, it was super fresh and paired perfectly with the right amount of salted chips. I ordered the ribeye tacos, and they were delicious. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned w/ a nice char that added depth to each bite. The tortillas were soft and fresh, and the toppings added just the right amount of flavor w/out overpowering the flavor of the steak. What really elevated the whole experience was our server, Frida. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and gave recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
I really liked my food last time...but man, I would not recommend getting the pollo Serrano since mine tasted like they put 20 limes on it. So avoid that but definitely get the other stuff!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Eclectic choices. Great service. Meso Maya is appropriately named. This is traditional meso American cuisine. If you're looking for traditional TexMex there are several decent choices nearby, but Meso Maya is a more honest offering of central Mexican classics. I visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon for a late lunch. They have ample interior seating and a really lovely outdoor patio. A full bar offers up beer, wine, liquors and of course margaritas. I enjoyed their tortilla strips appetizer (not the common triangular chips, horizontal strips) and smoky sauce. I think the tortilla strips should be the default everywhere. I had a tortilla lunch of two chicken tortillas, white rice and beans. It was a bright flavor, fresh and very nice. I would have liked to see a combo meal offering, or an al-a-cart menu so I could have tried a bit of the tacos as well. If it was there I missed it. Important note. DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING!! Instead go inside and use their Parking validation link. If you have already paid, use the same link to get a digital refund.

Yelp
Ordered: Avocado Margarita (~$15): patron silver tequila, muddled avocado, pineapple, lime, cointreau Mango Sangrita (~$15): signature house made mango sangria swirled with their classic frozen margarita Arrachera (~$28): mesquite-grilled skirt steak, guacamole, peppers & onions, rice, beans, served with house-made corn tortillas Camaron y Pescado Tacos (~$19): white corn tortilla tacos with garlic adobo marinated shrimp or fish, green cabbage slaw, avocado relish, cilantro, queso fresco Aya's take: Meso Mayo is super vibrant Mexican restaurant in the heart of Dallas. It seems highly recommended and we decided to give it a try for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we opted for their outdoor patio seating. The Mango Sangrita was super tropical, sweet, and refreshing. The Avocado Margarita caught our eye but it sounded better than it tasted; it definitely needs to be sweeter or have another flavor to offset the mild and earthy flavor of avocado. The Arrachera is a hefty amount of food for ~$28. I'm glad we got it because it was exponentially better than the Camaron y Pescado Tacos. We had to send them back because they were overly salty and almost inedible. Thankfully, our waitress was super friendly and understanding. Back to the Arrachera! This dish is a perfect balance of protein, veggies, and carbs. The skirt steak is cooked & seasoned well, the rice & beans were super satisfying, and all the veggies added an element of freshness that the dish needed. The guacamole was so good! It might be worth ordering that as a side for the table. All in all, this lunch kept me full for hours and was a good try during my trip!

Yelp
Friday 4/18/25 I came across this spot on Yelp while searching for the best Tex-Mex in Dallas, and this was the best one I could find based on its ratings/reviews. The spot is located a few minutes (walking-wise) from the Klyde Warren Park. I first tried ordering online, but for some reason it just didn't work at all. No matter how many different cards I used or the web browser I was using, it refused to work. My friend tried calling, but that didn't work either, so we had to order in person for takeout. I got the carne tacos $18.75, Cochinita Pibil $22, and the pastel de chocolate $11. I opted for flour tortillas for my items, and I also received complimentary chips & salsa with my order, which was very much appreciated. - The carne tacos plate comes with 2 carne tacos and rice & beans. The carne tacos were good, and the rice & beans were, but nearly $20 for 2 tacos and rice & beans is crazy. - The cochinita pibil plate came with pork, rice & beans, and flour tortillas. I wasn't impressed with the pork as it was a small portion and didn't do much for me, but it was alright. Also, once again, another overpriced item. The portions gotta be more if they're charging these high prices. - The pastel de chocolate was the only item that I can say was both good and fairly priced. The brownie is warm & moist and is paired with a side of their corn ice cream, which seemed strange for me but ended up being a lot better than I anticipated. Also, my friend got the brisket quesadilla or brisket tacos and said he enjoyed it. Overall, the food is decent, but it's EXPENSIVE. I enjoyed my visit, but would've enjoyed it more if I got a better bang for my buck when it comes to the portion and pricing of the carne tacos and cochinita pibil. -- For more FOOD content, follow me on Instagram: @issa.cheatday

Yelp
Stopped at Mesa Maya on my own and sat at the busy bar, with others who were there alone. I got the cucumber margarita which was super refreshing. The salsa with the chips was smokey and spicy, I could only have a little bit wish I could have got some to go. I ordered the biggest meal they have, and I wasn't even that hungry. The steak was almost too smokey but was better cold the next day. They have an open kitchen which is a nice touch and it's clear to me everything is authentic. I would love to visit again.

Yelp
Great solid Tex Mex! They have validated parking you can scan once you enter the restaurant. This is the biggest perk as it is in downtown area. We got the soupa de Lima and caldo (both $15). The soups are filling and come with lots of toppings. Great for a cold night. Regardless what you order it comes with complimentary chips and salsa. The service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
I love the hell out of Meso Maya. Their flavors are absolutely insane, and this is hands-down some of the most reliable, authentic Mexican cuisine you'll find in the DFW area. Every dish is packed with bold, well-balanced flavors that keep me coming back. My go-to is the cheese enchilada--perfectly melty, rich, and ridiculously satisfying. Their rice and beans are a step above the usual, with way more depth and seasoning than you typically get. And let's talk about their chips and salsa--next-level. The salsa has just the right kick, and the chips are always fresh and crispy. Whether you're here for a casual dinner, a celebratory meal, or just craving solid Mexican food, Meso Maya always delivers. Can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
Salmon and pork chop both so dry as to be inedible. Mixed veggies subbed for green beans with pork chop for no reason. Food was so bad. Disappointing for price.

Yelp
Three food and service were top notch! Everything was cooked to perfection and the use of fresh ingredients was apparent throughout all dishes. We started with the guacamole and queso combo which was perfect for 2-4 people. We also tried the posole Verde which was FIRE! Prior to ordering entries we could not decide which mole we would like more, the server brought a plate with both choices and rice to separate. All I can say about the food and service is... If you want to be treated like royalty and family at the same time, you must come to Meso Maya! We will be back and often!

Yelp
Vibes are great, but food is a hit or miss! Ambiance & Service: Both the indoor and outdoor seating are upscale and modern. Service was friendly, and food arrived a bit too quickly. We had just started our apps when entrees were already sent to our table. Food: - Guacamole & Queso Combo: both dips were delicious! The portion was pretty small, but we enjoyed the flavors. - Queso Blanco Enchiladas: ordered with the creamy poblano sauce. The enchiladas were cold and the tortillas didn't seem fresh. Disappointing. TL;DR: Skip this spot--Guac and Queso were good, but the enchiladas were a letdown!

Yelp
Meso Maya has gone mainstream. We used to enjoy this place as real, upscale Mexican food curated by a chef who knew Mexico. We would bring out of town visitors. I think my only half-joke critique the first time we went was that they played salsa music instead of Mexican. We lived in Mexico City for several years and were excited to experience Mexican food that didn't have tex-mex written all over it. This place has really gone downhill. Overpriced plates, including charging $3.25 for salsa de arbol brought in the smallest ramekin. The caldo tlalpeño which is usually a great chicken and vegetable spicy soup tasted like a salt block. We also had to ask for mole sauce for our mole poblano. The mole was average and diluted...the chicken was grilled nicely, about the best tasting thing all by itself. I'm critical because I remember it much better than it was today. Sorely disappointed. We dropped over $100 for the meal and then walked around the corner to La Ventana and grabbed a couple street tacos. Just food - pun intended - for thought.

Yelp
A co-worker and I took some customers out for lunch and they suggested Mesa Maya as it was in walking distance from their office. These guys are so fortunate to work so close to this place. The food was outstanding. The pic attached is what I had, but can't remember what it's called. It was awesome. Meat so tender, beans great. Two others had the carne asada and they said it was delicious. Another had the seafood enchiladas and he was licking the plate clean. The salmon was a huge portion and the Brussel sprouts smelled amazing. I wish there was one in the Houston area. I could see going there one day a week and trying something different each time and never being disappointed. I got go see that customer more often.

Yelp
The parking is through an app that doesn't work. I even went inside and the manager doesn't care. Good luck bad impression.

Yelp
I finished work a little early and wanted to try and new spot in the downtown area and decided to check this place out. First, Joy the bartender was very friendly and had a all around great energy to be around. She explained the menu and specials and I ended up with the happy hour quesadilla and house marg. Joy suggested a little upgrade on the math and it was delicious. When the quesadilla showed up, I was surprised at how big it was. Super delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Dear Meso Maya, The bartender and busser were SO nice, I'd come back for their service any time. Food was great, had the Vegetales Enchiladas...a little salty on the rice but the sweetness from the zucchini in the enchilada tempered it a bit. Their 3V blend of Mexican wine was also good, can you believe it's been a vineyard since 1597? Free chips and salsa (spicy, how I like it!) and an overall casual vibe made for a nice, relaxing night after a long work day!

Yelp
Wanted to love this place, but it had a few cons. Location is great, and is a good place to stop if you're visiting the Perot science museum. Service was kind, but a few things were forgotten. Interior is cozy, clean, and decor is nice. Lunch specials are great value. The posole was WAY too salty and the enchilada Del Mar and chilaquiles were good but not mind blowing. Best part of meal was the chocolate cake
google avatar

Yelp
All of our orders were super tasty, but the Arrachera dish really stood out. It was served with corn tortillas and I wasn't able to finish the whole plate even though I tried! I was pleasantly surprised by the big portions and the affordability.

Yelp
We used to love Meso Maya and proudly brought friends and family here often. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, this restaurant has taken a serious nosedive in both service and hospitality. Tonight's experience was the final straw. We were seated and asked twice for a high chair, yet one never arrived until we asked a second waiter--20 minutes later. We ordered drinks and an appetizer (ceviche) for my father-in-law. The drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive, and the appetizer never came--until our main dishes were served. My father-in-law had to personally walk to the manager to get it. We ordered three more drinks mid-meal, which never arrived. We finished our food and still no drinks. I went to the bar and told the waiter to cancel them and just bring the check. Five minutes later, the manager brought the drinks--without an apology. We didn't even touch them, but they were still charged on the bill. No effort was made to correct it. The most frustrating part? The manager never apologized, not during the meal or as we left. I had to approach him just to express how poorly run this location has become. We've given this place multiple chances--at least 10 visits in the last couple of years--and each time it's gotten worse: burnt food, delayed service, disorganized staff. Tonight, there were at least 13 waiters on the floor, yet the place wasn't even busy. I watched multiple staff members sitting with friends in booths instead of serving tables. Where is the management? What exactly is the manager doing to ensure quality and professionalism? From what we've seen, nothing. On a previous visit, I had a reservation confirmed a month in advance. When we arrived, they had no table for us and sat us outside in the rain. Again--no apology, no solution. This restaurant has no clear systems in place, and leadership is nonexistent. Sadly, we will never return. If you're looking for slow service, poorly managed staff, and burnt food, Meso Maya is the perfect place to ruin your evening.

Yelp
Food is relatively ok, nothing special. Ordered a Sopa de Lima and it ended up being a regular chicken soup with overcooked vegetables. We ordered margaritas and were very disappointed, it's a bunch of ice with lemonade in highball glass.
google avatar

Carrie A.

Yelp
Every time I come here the food is outstanding and service is amazing. I was greeted by the host and explained what I could and couldn't eat as a vegetarian, which is very helpful. This is the best queso I've had. Guacamole was very good. If you can...sitting outside is an absolute delight. My husband loved the short rib chile rellano. The parking lot is s easy and validated.

Yelp
Meso Maya is still one of my favorite Mexican spots in Dallas! We came here for a last minute Saturday date night dinner and were able to get a table immediately. The place was perfectly crowded with a lively ambience. Our waitress was super friendly and ontop of it from the beginning. The house frozen margaritas hit the spot on a hot August night. We got the carne asada (still my absolute favorite) and the cochinita pibil. Both delicious! The food always tastes fresh, has great flavors, and their menu offers unique dishes that I haven't had anywhere else. If you're in or around Dallas, Meso Maya is a must - especially the downtown location, it's the best one

Yelp
This was my second time going to Meso Maya, but first time in a while. I keep meaning to try other Mexican food in Dallas but Meso Maya is really good and not expensive so it is hard to resist. Last night we tried the ceviche, which was super good. Tasted very fresh. I got the Cochinita pibil as well which was delicious and very tender. My girlfriend got carne tacos which were good as well. Service from our waiter Alex was also good he was very attentive and polite. I like the inside of the restaurant a lot because I feel like so many good restaurants these days think it has to be really dark and really loud for some reason, which has its place but is way too common. I can actually hear my girlfriend talk and see my food which is something I don't get as often as I like in popular downtown restaurants. Also, in the past I tried the boudin Azteca: super good I highly recommend giving it a try

Yelp
I walked into the restaurant with my son, a Sunday morning that we decided to go have brunch after a walk. We were met with a stout fellow, checking us out up and down as if we were not dressed appropriately for a neighborhood restaurant. That was pretty rude and really unnecessary for a casual dining hole in the wall. The food is ok, the service could be better. I cannot stand hovering while I'm trying to eat, or taking my partner's plate away from the table while I'm still eating. What's the hurry? It's incredibly rude and in poor taste. I can't say I would go back as there are so many other places that treat their customers better. Be damned if you go walking before you have brunch...

Yelp
I love this this place the mole, amazing. The elote, elite. Cocktails were great. Enchiladas and tacos, fantastic. Our server Belinda was so friendly and caring as well, definitely added to the charm of this place. I like the design of the place as well, you can easily forget where you are while in here. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Dallas

Great food and drinks plus the service was fantastic. The place was very nice and the music was inviting.

Yelp
Food I had was excellent. Plenty of chicken, juices, right spice and some great Hominy, loved it very much! I also had a chocolate type coffee that had the best aroma with some good heavy cream and some strange sweetener that was sort of exotic. The service was excellent, our host was great and the manager was genuinely authentic. I give the restaurant a 4. The atmosphere is really chill and laid back and the dim is perfect while escaping the downtown busy streets of Dallas.

Yelp
After wandering around the city all day, we were looking for a nice meal to end the night. Meso Maya Comida y Copas popped up nearby and had really great reviews, so we knew this was the spot to try. We were seated immediately and our server brought us water, chips, and salsa right away. We ordered the chicken taquitos, a bowl of sopa de lima, salmon de coco, pastel de chocolate, and pastel de moras (total was about $59 before tax and tip) to share. Everything arrived so fast and it all tasted so fresh and flavorful. I was mostly blown away by the entree- the piece of salmon was much bigger than what I'm used to getting at restaurants and it made to the perfect texture. The salsa verde sauce was a good touch along with the creamy coconut rice and grilled vegetables. This was probably one of my favorite things I've eaten all year and I only wish I could eat it more often. Both of the desserts were also very tasty. I subbed the corn ice cream with the Mexican vanilla ice cream on the chocolate cake and it was phenomenal. Both cakes were so warm and moist and the different sauces drizzled on top were a great touch. Portions were great and we were so full after dinner. The service was also amazing and attentive and our waiter checked in on us often. If I'm back in the Dallas area again, this will definitely be on the top of the list to revisit!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Dallas. I've been multiple times and never had a bad item on the menu. The enchiladas (queso blanco pictured) and the budin Azteca is also amazing. Recommend getting the Guac as an appetizer! On my most recent visit, they had also started offering a smaller size of both guac and queso (pictured) - best of both worlds! We also split some of the sweet plantains (pictured) which was a nice complement to the meal. The cucumber margarita and skinny margs are a nice cocktail choice. If you can, it's best to sit outside simply because the patio is amazing. Inside also passes the vibe check - but may want to bring a sweater as the AC can get a bit chilly. The service cannot be beat! I've always had friendly, attentive service. No reason to not come have a meal here.
google avatar

Trina W.

Yelp
First off, parking is a bit confusing if you're reading the sign outside. There is a gated parking lot right next to the restaurant, DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING AT THE MACHINE OUTSIDE! There is a QR code to scan inside for free parking up to 2 hours. You can make reservations on OpenTable which is a plus. The guac and queso to start was good so we were looking forward to our meals...which unfortunately fell short of our expectations. We each had a different kind of enchilada and both had different sauces but they were both super acidic it ruined the taste of what was inside. The place itself looked nice, dimly lit, cozy. The service wasn't great though. I don't want to say our waitress was stuckup exactly but I'm not sure the right word to describe it, it felt like she was looking down her nose at us and kind of annoyed to be waiting on us. She wasn't rude but anytime we asked her anything she just seemed to be annoyed. The manager was helpful though with our parking situation when she realized we had already paid for parking when we didn't need to which we really appreciated.

Yelp
Best Mexican around. Very nice place centrally located. Everything had great flavor. Rebecca and Eliseo were so helpful and friendly! Definitely will be back

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for Weekend Brunch! I'm a little picky when it comes to Mexican food but this place is so good ! There's $3 mimosas on the weekends and the chorizo eggs are the best !!!! The first time I went to this location they had a small patio, we asked if we could sit outside and they were really nice, the server took a little to get to us but we understand is a little annoying to take a patio table when no one else is sitting outside. We usually try to go to places with patios for my baby, but the second time the tables were gone and made us a little sad. I want to try different locations. Servers here are super nice, the guy that took care of us the second time offered to bring us some water on a kids cup for my 8 month old before I could even ask, he was on top of everything. Definitely coming back soon.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. The good -the chips, guacamole, queso, and smokey salsa were addicting! I could have ordered just that and have left happy. I'm not sure what's in the salsa or how it's prepared but it's the perfect amount of spice and freshness and was phenomenal - the steak dosh was perfectly cooked. One of the softest steaks that it melted in my mouth. The seasoning was spot on and worth every penny we paid. -the restaurant is well decorated and feels higher end. The service was also strong. The bad: - I have no bad notes. 10/10 recommend stopping here for a celebratory meal, date night, or just on a plain old Tuesday.

Yelp
In our experience Meso Maya has always delivered superior food, service, and ambiance since their original opening in the early 2010s. The original location is on the edge of downtown Dallas, in what used to be the Luna Tortilla factory (since 1938) next to El Fenix-- perhaps Dallas's oldest Tex-Mex restaurant. Anyway, I think the Luna Tortilla Factory burned. We were really worried about that, because we used to depend on Luna for our tortillas-- and we were afraid some airhead developer might come in and raze the building. However MazoMaya moved in and made it all better than ever.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Our waiter Cesar was great. I forgot to get pictures before I started eat but here is a little bit of it. So yummy. Drinks are good too. The giant eyeball is right outside the restaurant. Preety cool.

Yelp
The atmosphere here was spot on for your higher end Mexican food restaurant. I had the carne asada which was amazing in flavor and the Mexican cornbread and black beans that came with it were the perfect flavor combination. Hubby had the more traditional version of fajitas and wasn't really a fan. I tried a piece of steak he had and I could see why. WAY too much salt. Like, it's some of the worst fajitas I've tasted in awhile. I could tell their salt content in all of their food was quite high compared to other Mexican restaurants because we both were immediately bloated feeling after leaving. This may be the reason we might not return. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive and had great recommendations. We opted in for dessert and got the churros which were to die for. They basically melted in your mouth. All in all it was yummy (sans the fajitas) and we might be back but not a first choice!

Yelp
Came here for a first date how lovely of a location to do so! DEFINITELY more of an acquired taste for people local to the area it derives from, can tell it's a community hotspot which is loved! Just lacked a bit of the flavor's I was looking for. Server definitely knew the menu, drink's could have had a bit more kick to them but the outside area makes up for it all!

Yelp
Had a reservation for this spot on Friday - which I'd recommend since it gets pretty packed. Service was very friendly from the beginning - we chowed through 3 bowls of chips before our entrees got to us and the waitress was very nice in asking us proactively if we wanted more. I got the enchiladas Del Mar, which comes with two enchiladas in sauce and rice & beans for ~$19. The inside crab and shrimp were really well cooked, and the shells were nice & soft. The sauce has a tang to it for sure, but personally I didn't think it was overpowering. The rice and beans were also seasoned really well. All in all, a great dish! PROS: - service was very friendly and timely - chips are so crispy and the salsa is tasty - good portion size for main dish, well seasoned - interior ambiance is lively CONS: - none! :)

Yelp
Margaritas are BOMB (and the Patron floaters during happy hour are a no brainer). Brisket enchiladas - give me 14. JD and Jessica gave 10/10 service, I would come back to Dallas just to come back here.

Yelp
Overall, dinner was good, but there were some hiccups during our visit. The first was getting our car validated in their parking lot. There was a QR code near the hostess desk, but the app didn't work, and no one knew how to help us. Luckily, we didn't get a ticket. Service was rushed at first but got better towards the end. The drinks were not great. We didn't like that they brought the appetizer and entrée right after each other. Their guacamole and queso are fantastic, probably the best queso we have tasted. The food here is reasonably priced for the portion that they give you. My brisket enchiladas were okay. There was a lot of juice in the brisket. And the tomatillo guajillo sauce had a bitter taste rather than a sweet and smoky flavor. And, weirdly, my enchiladas were cold. I wasn't fond of the enchiladas but did enjoy the garlic rice accompanied with the entrée. It was delicious.

Yelp
Quite pleased with my brisket tacos. Ordered some takeout yesterday and while waiting for my carry out, I looked around the restaurant and it had a pretty nice vibe to it. The place was jamming, the staff was working hard and quite pleasant to everyone. You get two tacos with this order. There's a good amount of brisket meat. It's tender and moist. it comes on a floured tortilla, including shredded lettuce, tomato, and avocado. The two sides are white rice and brown beans. The white rice is white rice. It was fine. The black beans were excellent. I just wish they gave you more than what came in the plastic container pocket. Rather than fill the container sides with barely enough beans, maybe get a different container or provide something larger like you would if I was dining in.

Yelp
Honestly this was such a pleasant surprise! We had great queso and guacamole with margaritas on a hot day. Just what we needed! Our favorite was the chicken taquitos appetizer - we will be back for those!
