The 18 Essential Brunch Destinations in Los Angeles

"This La Brea daytime restaurant launched operations nearly seven years ago helmed by husband and wife owners Mindy and Vinny Kinne. Unlike most on this list, Met Her At A Bar is open during the week with bowls, eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, and a fantastic chorizo toast. Try the Thai omelet with eggs, onion, maple sausage, jasmine rice, tomato, and Sriracha." - Eater Staff

Met Her at a Bar Review - Mid-Wilshire - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There are a lot of breakfast options in the Mid-Wilshire/La Brea area, and Met Her At A Bar is another one to add to the mix. It’s more of a local hangout option, with a casual neighborhood vibe, and lots of room to spread out with your laptop for the afternoon. The waffles are the highlights of the menu - they do a mix of traditional options and some intimidating sandwich versions. If you don’t want to stand in the line at Republique and maybe want to get some work done, this is a decent option." - Jess Basser Sanders

Where to Eat Near LACMA and Mid-Wilshire, LA’s Miracle Mile Museum Row | Eater LA

"Met Her at a Bar is perhaps the textbook definition of a neighborhood restaurant, offering staple basics and an exceedingly busy brunch. Locals love it, even if the rest of LA hasn’t caught on to all the coffee and delicious Belgian waffle action inside." - Farley Elliott

Google
Really great brunch. The fried chicken is really tasty, and the batter is well seasoned. Chicken and waffles, chicken sando, and Thai omlette were all incredible. Solid cortado, too! Great vibes.

Google
i had an incredible experience at this brunch spot! the service was top-notch. very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. the food came out surprisingly fast, which was a pleasant surprise, and everything i ordered was absolutely delicious. 10s across the board on the food! i ordered the “you make me wake up happy” meal. the food had so much flavor, and the presentation was beautiful too. highly recommend for anyone looking for a yummy brunch outing. i’ll definitely be back here again!

Google
5 stars ⭐️ it was really good! The chicken is made Asian style and the waffle was fluffy. The maple syrup is really good too. My wife preferred the mimosa over the sangria. Cool casual vibes, perfect for a weekend brunch.

The place is located right on the corner of La Brea and 8th st. It is a cute small brunch restaurant. We went around 9am and their was no wait time. We were seated quickly and the service was good. The food also came out pretty fast and presentation of the dishes were beautiful. I had a mocha which was delicious, classic egg benedicts with potatoes and berries waffle. My husband got the chilaquiles with steak and that was also really good. The only negative was that the food was a bit cold but other than that, I highly recommend to try.

The peach-topped waffles with whipped cream and ice-cream were absolutely delicious. Great coffee and just a lovely place. Perfect breakfast/brunch spot! Highly recommended.

Google
This brunch spot absolutely lives up to the hype! I was tempted to order everything on the menu. Sitting at the counter gave us the perfect view to watch the dishes being prepared, and each one looked more mouthwatering than the last. We opted for the fried chicken and waffle, which had a delightful spicy kick, perfectly complemented by the sauces. The avocado toast was simply divine, with a generous topping of shaved Parmesan that elevated every bite. To top it all off, the matcha latte was the ideal way to balance out the meal.

This place is so cute. Love their story, my coworker filled me in and it made the restaurant more enjoyable. I had the burrito! LOVED IT. I'm from Texas so chorizo and corn chips...yes please. Chipotle salsa 😋 was tasty!

Google
Cute brunch spot in the heart of LA! I ordered the chicken pesto panini and it was very good. I got it with a side salad. The vinaigrette dressing was a bit sweet but it was still good. The panini was served on a baguette and had a nice crunch to it. Services was great and they were attentive to water refills :-).

Yelp
I love this place, all the staff are very welcoming I've been here a few times but the waiter that stood out the most was Michael, he was very sweet and friendly. The food is always delicious here, my go to is the avocado toast but the waffles are so good I definitely recommend trying the cauliflower tempura; I think about these so frequently The place is really clean and cute so that's a bonus!

Yelp
The wait looks intimidating but it was way shorter than we expected and we went at about 12pm. Waited about 20-30 min when the app said 55 min so hang in there. You have to check in first with everyone. We chose the Thai options fried chicken and waffles with Thai spice and a chili sauce which I loved. It wasn't too spicey and was the perfect sweet and savoury balance for brunch. The Thai omelet was really well executed too. Rice inside in the omelet has a slight crisp. You can tell the food has a lot of TLC and it's not a place that produces mass brunch. Street parking for 2 hours was pretty easy and free.

Yelp
Never disappoints. Such fast and friendly service. The French toast has corn flakes which gives that perfect crunch, it tastes as it looks. This is my neighborhood go to. Definitely recommend it if you're around the neighborhood.

Yelp
What a fun and delicious breakfast spot! The inside is absolutely adorable - love the waffle mural and the fun flower decor. I took forever to decide what to order because literally everything looked so good! I landed on the waffle eggs benedict, and it was a great choice. Paired with the fruit it made for a delicious and fresh breakfast! Their coffee was good as well, and it was a fun place to catch up!

Yelp
TLDR: Met expectations but did not exceed them. Cute ambiance, good service, and a good varied selection of brunch items This sister store has been on my list 5ever, and so I suggested it as a place when people were visiting. Came here on a Sunday for a late brunch (1P) and had about a 30-minute wait for a table of 3. Its a very small place so just expect a wait. There were quite a few things on this menu people were raving about on reviews which made my decision quite difficult. Ordered: Thai Chicken and Waffles ($23) - 4/5 This was quite tasty. I almost wish the sauce was both on glazed and on the side but it was on the side to pour to your delight. I can appreciate that it wasn't a massive plate. I think it had just the right amount of chicken and light Belgian waffle for me to not feel like it was a heavy meal. I think many establishments go too hard with the chicken and waffles. Service: 5/5 Everyone from the hostess to the waiters were friendly and responsive, and kind. The food arrived relatively quickly! Ambiance: 5/5 Very cute inside if you're sitting inside. There is thankfully a covered outside section as well! Other: Parking - Pretty brutal here out in La Brea if you know you know. Just be careful of the signs. This place isn't necessarily pulling me to drive out here just for brunch over other brunch spots but it is a place I can easily recommend to others if they're on that side of town!

Yelp
This is a solid brunch spot in WeHo! We stopped in on a Saturday at 9am, and were able to get a table within 10-20 minutes outside. Parking in this area of town is always challenging, so your best bet is one of the nearby residential streets. Our server was nice and had some good menu recommendations, since they have a pretty broad selection of offerings. I started with a chai latte, which was very pretty but taste-wise fairly average. The french toast on the other hand was incredible! It has an almost caramelized sugary crust that was just to die for combined with the custardy bread and nutella drizzle.

Yelp
So delicious and fun! We went for breakfast on a Monday, and I was told that on weekends there's a huge line, so I was happy we could just walk right in on our visit. We got metered street parking nearby. I had the breakfast bowl with quinoa and kale and poached eggs- it was amazing! I also tried the French toast which was fabulous. My dining companions all got chai and coffee and enjoyed that, as well as their food. Service was great too. The ambiance is cute, lots of fresh air and a mural with the name of the restaurant on it. Really enjoyed this meal!

Yelp
Thanks to luring reviews from Eater LA food news and fellow Yelp Friends, I've had this restaurant bookmarked since 2017 and finally got around to experiencing it during this visit. Since we had recently escaped the triple-digit heat in Las Vegas, I told my gourmet brother-in-law that we had changed our eating habits to enjoy only two meals daily (brunch and early dinner). I agreed with home cooking one meal daily and dining out for the second without restricting ourselves to a specific meal. We took the time to compare our restaurant lists and found several in common. This breakfast/brunch spot, Met Her At A Bar, was on our list. We fortunately found street parking near the corner of S LaBrea Avenue and W 8th Street just a parking stall away from Met Her At A Bar's canopied al fresco dining area. At the doorway, a hostess greeted and seated our threesome next to the "dancing waffles wall." Also, looking at the fun and lively decor, we figured that anywhere who proudly features waffles or certain food items as a wall mural, must KNOW they serve great waffles. Our server, Meghan, energetically greeted us, took our morning beverage orders while telling us about the daily specials. However, since we had perused the menu in advance of coming to the restaurant, we politely interrupted her by immediately ordering our Thai-inspired brunch orders with steaming mugs of black coffee. FOOD: -Fried Chicken & Waffle: Thai-style fried chicken with tom yum seasoning and crispy basil. The tasty, tom yum seasoned boneless chicken thigh pieces were encrusted in a crispy, deep-fried golden brown crust. The crispy chicken pieces complemented the waffle's crisp exterior and its fluffy, tender and moist interior. Thin slices of jalapeno peppers (luckily, not overly spicy) and crispy basil leaves completed the stack. Sides of sweet chili/fish sauce dip, maple syrup and whipped butter accompanied this meal. I used the sweet chili/fishsauce dip to enhance the chicken but the tasty waffle didn't need anything. I enjoyed this Thai-inspired fried chiciken and waffle because I didn't have to share it with my fried food-loving husband. $21.50 -Crispy Chicken Sandwich: crispy fried boneless chicken thigh, kale slaw, dill pickles, green curry aioli on a brioche bun. $15 & Waffle fries, additional $5. My fried food-loving husband chose this behemoth brunch sandwich. The Thai-inspired flavors and colorful presentation made this sandwich a joy to look at and eat. He enjoyed the textural complements and contrasts of the sandwich paired with the crisp waffle fries' exterior with their fluffy interior. Total cost: $20 -Khai Jiao (Thai omelette): 3 eggs, onion, maple sausage, and jasimine rice served with a side of tomato and sriracha. We've seen Thai omelettes (Khai Jiao/Kai Jeow) offered at Honolulu's local Thai restaurants but it was my brother-in-law's first time ordering it. Funnily, he said he was attracted to this dish because of his love for rice. Met Her At A Bar's Thai omelette looked to be prepared in more oil as its edges were crispier and the overall omelette's presentation was prettier yet it wasn't greasy. The fishsauce umami shined as its funky saltiness kicked up the onion and pork sausage flavors. The housemade sriracha sauce further brightened the omelette and rice. $16 We enjoyed our dining experience and food flavors at Met Her At A Bar so much that we've made dinner reservations at the chefs-owners' other restaurant, Met Him At A Bar, for Italian fare.

Yelp
Awesome place for brunch! Small restaurant. Looks like it a tight squeeze but you'll have enough space. Nicely decorated inside. Great vibe. Staff was very friendly. Really great service. The menu has a wide selection for breakfast/brunch. 7 items on the lunch menu. Recommend the chicken pesto panini so effin good good selection wine and only 2 choices of beer. There is non alcoholic drinks if you're not looking to have a good time When signing in wait time was estimated around 45-64 min but we notice lots of people leave and were seated within 15 min. Keep in mind and don't be discouraged by the wait time when signing in. Parking can be hard as there is only street parking available. I parked 1 block over

Yelp
Came here for Saturday brunch with a friend visiting from out of town. There was a line so we went across the street to All Seasons Brewing for drinks while we waited. It didn't end up being too long and we were sat at one of the booth/tables. Place was crowded but service was rather quick. My friend ordered the fried chicken and waffles, and I ordered a waffle breakfast plate (Make Me Happy). We also got some juice and a bottle of sparking wine to make mimosas. My plate was pretty standard and it was what I was craving at the time, but the one my friend ordered (recommended by our server) is definitely what I will be getting next time. It's Thai inspired chicken and waffles, so it came with a Tom yum sauce (lemongrass with some sweetness and spice) and was absolutely delicious. I definitely stole a couple of bites. We stayed for quite a bit to finish our bottle. Overall cute, casual vibe. Pretty crowded on weekends. I would say it's probably better for smaller parties as the space isn't huge. But I get why it's a popular spot. I'll be back!

Yelp
wanted to come here for so long and finally was able to make it for brunch! the cafe is adorable and the service is great. such a cozy vibe and i definitely want to come back and try their other dishes and drinks next time. what we ordered: 1. chicken and waffles - 7/10. a solid dish! i loved the asian inspiration that the dish had with the different sauces but i was a little disappointed in the waffles. they were pretty mushy and didn't have that pillowy texture i was expecting. the chicken was really good though! the breading was super crispy and the chicken was juicy 2. french toast - 10/10. honestly THIS WAS AMAZING! i never had a sweet entree that i could continue eating without thinking like wow this is so sweet. i loved that it was covered with cornflakes in the french toast batter -- it kept the toast crispy and crunchy throughout our whole meal. there was the perfect amount of nutella on it as well, it didn't overpower it. one note though is i wish there was more fruit on it! but other than that it was my favorite dish that we ordered.

Yelp
The whole entire place was a warm welcoming with amazing food, & the most fresh matcha I've ever had. I'd most likely try something other than the poached egg bc it wasn't the best but it was good! My fav was matcha & the french toast. The host was extremely nice & had a good spirit on him. I'd come back, it was how comfortable I felt there.

Yelp
Honestly a 4.5, wish I could do halves on Yelp! We ordered the Crispy French Toast, Chicken and Waffles, and Waffles Benedict. My two favorites were the French Toast and Chicken and Waffles -- these are musts!! The french toast was actually crispy and the pieces of cereal it was battered in made it very enjoyable. Despite being filled with nutella, it wasn't overwhelming sweet and the fruits and whip cream made it light and balanced. The chicken and waffles were also great, as it is Thai influenced and a perfect mix of spicy and savory and sweet. I love bell peppers so I loved that that was an addition to the dish. The thai basil didn't add much in terms of taste since they seemed to be dehydrated and crisped up but made the dish look pleasing. The Waffles benedict was honestly okay but it came with a side of either potatoes, fruit, or salad. Potato texture was good but wasn't a huge fan of the seasonings used for it. Overall a really great brunch spot and was able to easily find street parking! The ambience is really nice and servers moved quickly to take our order and make sure our water cups were never empty.

Yelp
This place is one of my recent finds, although, they've been in business since 2017, I wasn't expecting much when I decided to go here with a friend. What I experienced was very helpful staff, getting us seated with menus and water and coming back in a very timely manner to take our drink and/or food order. While waiting for our food, looked around. Foo dogs greet you at the entrance and you immediately walk into a very hip dining room. Whimsical but very understated. I enjoyed looking around the room. And then our food came. This was at breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it is packed with chorizo. My friend ordered chicken and waffles and enjoyed it very much. I'm guessing there's a wait if you go on Saturday or Sunday morning. It's that good. This restaurant deserves your attention, it got mine. I'll be back.

Joyce K.

Yelp
It was my second time visiting. Food is delicious. They have small outdoor dining tables. Pet-friendly place, which is nice. Servers are friendly but they forgot our third order so we ended up just getting two dishes. Always crowded.

Yelp
This has been my go to place for YEARS! Allow time get on the waitlist for brunch and find street parking! Food is amazing, and the strawberry jelly is my addiction. Brought a friend that's new to LA and I feel like I'm showing off a neighborhood must when I bring someone here. My friend loved her Thai inspired dish, as well as the story behind the name and cute owners! You'll often see the owners in the restaurant engaging with eaters. I cannot recommend this place enough! Vibes are amazing!

Yelp
I've been here twice and so far I love it. The food, the vibes, and the service are just excellent. So far I've only tried the Wake up happy breakfast but I plan on coming back and trying new things! Their matcha lattes are really good (I always do honey for sweetener, trust me). I've also tried their mimosas, I'm not big on wine or alcohol but I'm a fan of them here, I've tried the hibiscus and the orange ones. The service is really friendly. I got the same waiter for the 2 visits and he's always super nice. The vibes here are it. If you know you know! Overall, definitely recommend this place and I plan on coming back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything about this place is great. My friend and I were visiting from out of state and gave it a go, and let me tell you, we both were impressed by the food and service. We had a really sweet waitress from Mississippi and she was on top of her game. Prompt to order and kept a watchful eye on all her tables. If you're in the area give this place a try A++++ P.S. the toilet was clean too so have another +

Yelp
My food was good. Went for my birthday by myself and was pleased. The Bellini was delicious and the coffee too. Service Was good Ambiance There may be a little wait because the place is small, but it's worth it.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite brunch spot that I've tried so far! For brunch in LA, the flavors for the price can't be beat. I love the variety of offerings on the menu and I was happy to go with a group of friends in my last outing so I could try more of the menu. We all basically licked our plates clean! The Chicken and Waffles were very well balanced with juicy fried chicken and crispy waffles. I love the little touches they include in this place that make it extra special like the fried basil on top. The breakfast burrito has everything you need in a breakfast and made complete with the sour cream and salsa. The cauliflower tempura was super light and crispy. This was also a lot better with the dipping sauce. I didn't try the Khai Jiao but my friend really enjoyed the flavors and found it very satisfying for breakfast. The French toast is as beautiful as it is delicious with a generous heap of fruit on top. There's only street parking available which can be a little difficult in the Miracle Mile area but it was great taking a little walk after the meal to digest as well.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Came here for a late bunch and we enjoyed the place! Wait wasn't too bad and seating wasn't too bad either (though a little tight!)! But their food was what hit the spot. We had the huevos rancheros and their crispy French toast! Service was nice and friendly! We were satisfied and happy! Had to street park though!
google avatar

Mikala M.

Yelp
Super delicious food! It was my first time & the waffletella was amazing I def recommend! The service was good, we waited for maybe 15-20 mins and they had chairs with umbrellas for us to sit under. We sat outside & there was plenty of shade. 10/10 waiters were very nice
google avatar

Meme Mariee N.

Yelp
Ok when I say 5 stars I wholeheartedly mean this!!!! The food is amazing, the service is superb, the ambience is super chill and cute it's for sure a vibe they also have souvenirs (t-shirts, tea cups & water bottles) it's also best to make a reservation for speedy seating. While there I had the chicken and waffle meal which I subbed my waffle for the FLINESTONE waffle AMAZING COMBO so anywho if you are in town or on that side of town don't hesitate to stop in for experience of great food! Thanks guys I enjoyed you ;)

Yelp
Casual dining with inspired Thai flavors. Visited my daughter in LA and we walked here for brunch. Nice neighborhood. Love the name of restaurant. Visited here on Saturday morning at 830am with no wait. Ordered the eggs Benedict and flat white coffee. Daughter ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was Thai inspired came with savory chili sauce, maple syrup, and butter. Iced green Thai latte was flavorful and smooth. My eggs benedict was fine. Ordered fresh fruit with dish. Flat white was nothing special. Service staff was friendly and food order didn't take too long. Cutely decorated with colorful butterflies on wall. There is outside seating, but preferred inside because it is on busy street and loud. By the time we left at 10. There was a line waiting to get in
google avatar

Danica L.

Yelp
Absolutely love the vibe! Came here for brunch with a friend and we loved it! There's street parking available but just be careful and read the signs. We ordered the chicken & waffles and french toast! Both were super delicious and very flavorful! Staff were also super nice and quick! Would highly recommend for a brunch place!

Yelp
4/5 The parking was street parking in the neighborhood or metered. I didn't have trouble finding a free 2-hr parking for a lunch. I went to check in at 12:20p for 7 people. And by 1:10p, we were second on the list. The total wait was an hour. The restaurant is very small and noisy. The food is delicious. The chicken and waffle has crispy thai basil chicken. The waffle was normal waffle you can make at home. The crispy french toast was very good. Overall, we had a delicious meal. The lavender latte has adequate lavender taste. I would say the only con is the price of around $20 for each dish. But I guess that is just how LA works. They also don't take reservations, just walk-in with a waitlist on weekend. I wish there is an online wait-list so we don't have to wait in a windy and rainy LA day. The weather was horrible on Feb 4.
google avatar

Sophie C.

Yelp
Food was OK for breakfast. I got these raspberry waffles which were very good but I wasn't a fan of the syrup it's those very sweet berry syrups nothing just pure sugar. The chocolate on the waffles were very good! The brioche sandwich was not bad but little pricey for a small size. Matcha latte is ok as well it's sweet in the beginning which I liked but then it just tasted like plain milk. My partner for the huevos he enjoyed them I did not try. If you try to come 30 minutes before closing make sure you're confirmed as we called to confirm that we can get seated and when we drove there they said they cannot seat us and it was a little bit of a hassle considering we drove all the way to them for late brunch. The servers did end up accommodating and were very nice about it but just heads up for the people that want a late brunch
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's a trendy bunch place located at a busy intersection, street parking only Service: friendly but so rushed from ordering, cleaning and paying, they just want you to leave quickly so they can take in more people Food: Thai inspired items on their menu KHAI JIAO (THAI OMELETTE) - *** three eggs, onion, maple sausage, jasmine rice, side of tomato & sriracha, mediocre omelette and dry rice, the sauce was good FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLE - **** thai style fried chicken w/ tom yum seasoning, crispy basil, spicy and sour crispy chicken, recommend Price: moderate portions and regular prices, about $25 per person
google avatar

Nikos B.

Yelp
The food was good! Service was great unfortunately one of the water cups had sand or some other abomination on the bottom of the cup? So beware of that.
google avatar

Elaine S.

Yelp
Pretty small place with limited seating so make a reservation especially if you're coming on the weekends! I came for a cozy and casual brunch. Everything we ordered was solid. Nothing really wowed me but I recommend this restaurant since the food quality is reliable and what you'd hope for out of a brunch.
google avatar

Hanna C.

Yelp
4/5 Solid breakfast! Super cute vibe and interior, loved the servers and atmosphere! Definitely worth a try if you are in the LA area
google avatar

Rami B.

Yelp
A modest restaurant serving an epic breakfast. I got the All-American breakfast, which comes with bacon, bread, and your choice of fruits or potatoes. I got the latter, which is garnished with chopped onions, green peppers, and a dash of salt. The portions were very generous, and the staff were excellent and very friendly. Can't wait to try their French toast!
google avatar

Jennie D.

Yelp
Arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. There's an iPad in front to add your name to the Yelp waitlist. Best to do it before you get there. It estimated the wait time to be an hour but I think I sat down and got my food in less than an hour. The service was great. Servers are very friendly. I got a matcha latte which was probably one of the best I've gotten on the west side. Tried the eggs Benedict on the waffle with a side of potatoes. It was an okay dish and I enjoyed it but I would probably get something else next time I'm here. Forgot to try my friend's chicken and waffles but they really enjoyed their meal.
google avatar

Eve V.

Yelp
I see what the hype is about - the food is goood. I've driven by on weekends, and have often seen brunchers waiting for a table. I've been wanting to try this spot but haven't had the chance previously. I came here mid-week, so the wait time was short. I had an iced vanilla latte, which was just right with well-balanced flavors and not too sweet, and the "you make me wake up happy" breakfast which was a 10/10. Scrambled eggs were good, the bacon was the right amount of crunchy /crispy and the waffle was the right amount of fluffy and crunchy. The service was great, our server provided suggestions and answered our questions about various food and drink options. The decor of the place is inviting and very cute but it's small which is why the wait can be long, but worth it. If you're coming on a weekend during peak hours, I suggest a very small snack to prevent the hangry. I couldn't help myself and took a bite before snapping a pix.
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was friendly! The outdoor seating was a little less than ideal and the prices at little bit high, but overall I believe it's a great spot to enjoy a nice breakfast!
google avatar

Chelsey H.

Yelp
listen, I'm not even a breakfast type of girly but for met her at a bar i am!! I had the breakfast potatoes and the fried chicken & waffle! It's Thai style fried chicken with crispy basil garnish- scrumptious!! I felt welcomed as soon as I got seated. Truly is a vibe here! Even the customers! Including me lol!! Yes, love this place and the mimosas are good, especially the lemonade one

Yelp
I had to wait a little while to get a table, but once inside, the service was quick and efficient. I ordered the cappuccino, chorizo toast, and matcha waffles, and all three were absolutely delicious. The matcha waffles were some of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be returning to try more items on their menu!

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this place for sometime but I'm rarely in the area. I went on a Saturday in the afternoon around 1ish. Street parking was a hit or miss but we found a spot. The host was nice and greeted all who approached. We were able to wait about 20 minutes or so and then we were seated. It was small inside but they are able to fit about 50 or less people inside and there is a small patio attached. The server was very persistent in taking our order, since it was our first time, we tried to look through quickly because we didn't have time to chit chat. We asked for the most popular items and he suggested the fried chicken and waffles and the "You make me happy" plate. The fried chicken was a Thai spiced piece of chicken on too of a waffle. The taste of the chicken was different but Nothing special with the meal. The "You make me happy" plate, was your basic pancake, eggs, bacon and sausage. Nice place and staff to grab a quick bite if you are in the area.

Yelp
I went here for brunch with a friend on a Saturday morning around 9 am and there was still a pretty long waitlist line. Definitely suggest getting here earlier or adding your name to the waitlist before arriving, but my friend and I walked to Republique to grab a matcha while we waited which was just down the street! This place was definitely worth the wait, and honestly the best waffles I've had in my life. Both of our meals were presented beautifully with edible flowers and the cutest little hearts, and the space is really cute as well. The service was great and friendly, and overall was an incredible brunch!

Yelp
We waited about 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon for a table for 6, which wasn't bad. Service was somewhat spotty - it took them about 20 minutes after we had sat down to get everyone water and cups. I wondered the chicken and waffles which was fairly underwelming. For $21.50, the piece of chicken was miniscule, and the waffle tasted like a heated up eggo waffle. The provided butter was too cold to actually spread, and the so called "thai style" was really just providing some sweet chili sauce on the side (those aren't even thai chilis on the fried chicken).

Yelp
Really impressed by the service, and the food came out VERY fast. I liked the bowl a lot. It was very nice and light and the eggs were FIREE!! That was a fantastic addition! Also the price was good as well

Yelp
I've been meaning to check out this place since moving to LA and it was such a delight! The cute brunch spot had your typical American style brunch foods but with a unique twist! The sausages and eggs on my skillet were amazing and the bacon was super crispy! The portions were decent and the chai latte I got was really tasty too!! The ambiance was cute with such pretty floral decor and it was cool to see a bunch of celebrity photos hung up on the walls of the bar! The service was decent and brought us our meal in a timely manner. We did go on a Saturday around lunch so the wait was about 30 mins but it was nice to walk around the area and we saw Met Him at a Bar, their duo restaurant right across the street! There's some side street parking in the neighborhoods which was nice! Highly recommend for a cute brunch spot!

Yelp
It's been a bit of time since I gave a review, nothing but 4s and higher; as life after the pandemic (one can argue we are still in it), service increasingly getting better and better. This review is only for takeout via Uber Eats, not dine-in. Pros: - Uber Eats FTW! - Order was correct - Came quick Side Notes: - Ordered Sunday around 11 AM - Open Daily from 8 AM to 3 or 4 PM - Uber Eats Delivery (not a dine-in review) - Closed on Sundays - Check hours on timing What We Ordered: - Avocado Toast - Bacon on the side - Cold Brew Again, this is not for a dine-in experience, as this was delivered via Uber Eats. The disappointment comes from a few areas, including (1) Not getting the complete avocado toast order, (2) meager portions of toppings, and (3) the eggs softened up the side of that toast. Let me get into the review below. Hours: They are open M - F (8 AM - 3 PM) and S + SU (8 AM - 4 PM). Wait: The time was better since we ordered online via Uber Eats. We did the expedited service on Uber Eats to get it faster, as we wanted to split the Avocado toast since it looked so big in pictures on Yelp! Parking: I don't know about parking, but the reviews make it sound that you can find ample parking around the area. Plus, a nice walk around that area is always great when you live in LA! Customer Service: N/A, as we didn't dine in. What We Loved: The taste was about a 7 out of 10. It's pretty good, but I would have loved to get an entire order we paid for online. The cold brew was decent, but the online deliveries may need to improve the quality. I'll mention some opportunities for the restaurant in the following section. Opportunities/Misc: It is a hot spot, and I'm sure the in-dining experience is much better than what we got from Uber Eats. Please check your order before letting it out to be delivered, as the order felt rushed (see image). Putting the avocado toast in one box so that you don't have to flip it on top of each other would be ideal. The top of the toast in the image hardly had any avocado, making it feel like it was half order (I ordered the $18 avo toast). I expected the egg to have cooked less, so the runniness was a bit there, but it settled like a boiled egg. The bacon could have been crisper, but I fixed that with the air fryer at home. It would be great to add condiments to the order, such as Tapitio or similar, as it didn't come with that either. Feeling that toppings were skimped out (e.g., edible flowers - check out the other images of avocado toast on Yelp photos), the order was less than complete, and the lack of thought of putting the eggs together where they touched the bread (softened the bread area) disappointed us. We'll try the in-dining at one point, but this felt like an afterthought. Granted, the staff may have been busy and short-handed, so I want to think about what could have happened. However, for our first impression, it could have been more pleasant. Spending $20 on avo toast (+ $5 poached eggs add-on), $6 for cold brew, $4.50 for 4 slices of bacon, and a 20% tip gave us higher than average expectations.

Yelp
Had a great brunch experience here. This is the sister restaurant (spillover) to met him at a bar. I believe the menu isn't quite as comprehensive and they didn't have a full bar, but the limited menu was satisfying nonetheless. The service was great and the waiter was very complimentary of my girl which was nice! The host even offered to take photos of us outside of the place. There's a decent amount of parking around the area but I can see it being an issue during busy hours. Would love to come back and try the flagship restaurant.

Yelp
My husband and I came here yesterday for breakfast, and we'll definitely be back. The location was easy to find; however they only have street parking and in that area parking sucks!! Anyway we found a spot after circling the block twice. We were greeted by a very friendly host and seated quickly. We got there around 10:30am, so there were a bunch of open tables. To be honest those seats did get filled pretty quickly. Our server was very polite and answered the couple of questions we had. I ordered the chicken and waffle and it was sooooo good!! Both the chicken and waffle were crisp, just the way I like it. The fried greens and peppers on top were different but I truly enjoyed them. The dish is served with a spicy chili sauce, syrup and butter, it was good BUT I think that they should've just made a spicy syrup That would be the perfect compliment to the dish, in my opinion. My husband ordered the steak breakfast, and he was happy with his food. The only thing he said was he wanted more potatoes. We both liked that the steak came cut for you already and it was some pretty thick pieces. Overall I enjoyed everything and wish I would've had space to order another dish. I think next time I'll try the chicken sandwich, the French toast and of course that waffle. Lastly, I will say. Before you visit this location, try to get on the waitlist. The place is cozy and it gets packed. Also remember there is only street parking, so pack your patience when coming.

Yelp
Came here for an early Saturday morning when i was told my friends it's too busy to go. Street parking is risky but possible to find without a ticket or being towed Got quoted a 15 min wait and it was only 5 which i loved Waiter came by 3 times within 10 mins to ask if we were ready to order and bringing some of the most fresh orange juice I've had in a while. Order for two only took about 20 mins to come and i was starving, the French toast delivered again. May need to just make this my weekly brunch place and hope to try other things on the menu but the Nutella on the French toast is addicting. Great service and food again

Yelp
Need a cute little brunch moment? Look no further. Located across from Met Him At A Bar (amazing Italian), I started my weekend here and had zero regrets. I found street parking 2-3 blocks away, which wasn't terrible. I don't believe they take reservations; we showed up around 11:45am and waited 15-20 min to be seated - totally reasonable. The F&B: - Mimosas: Lovely, resfreshing. - Benedict Florentine + Salad: Healthy, light and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed, but the poached egg was not so poached; one was semi & the other was approaching hard boiled. - Wow You're Different Waffle Benedict: Solid Benedict. The ham, waffle & hollandaise sauce made for a perfect combo. I would recommend ordering chipotle aioli on the side for the potatoes. Lastly, potato sides come with raw chopped onions sprinkled atop - my friend was NOT a fan, but I loved. Again, the poached egg was not at all poached. All in all, adored the homey atmosphere, lovely people & delicious food. Definitely recommend! Other notable things - the staff was very attentive and super polite. Love to see it.
