Go to Métier Brewing for the coconut porter - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Central District brewery is small, but that’s a nice change of pace from the other football field-sized hop factories around town. While they produce usual suspects like IPA and kolsch, their year-round claim to fame is the coconut porter. It’s obvious why. Toasty warmth is backed by chocolatey notes—and as a bonus, the taproom also has the stuff on nitro. Find us in the front corner on the swing bench, clutching a glass at any given time." - Aimee Rizzo

The Best Breweries in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Whether lounging on the indoor porch swing or snagging some okazu pan (savory Japanese buns) from the permanent food stand next to the bar, visiting Métier feels like popping into a friendly neighborhood hangout. It makes sense given their mission; the proudly Black-owned brewery opened its popular Central District taproom in 2022 with the goal to promote diversity and to “brew damn good beer and build a stronger community to inspire bigger dreams for all.” And they’ve more than succeeded all fronts — in addition to a whole lineup of flavor-packed lighter styles, Métier makes a seriously tasty German-style Kolsch that’s ideal for sunny days with friends. Métier also recently added some sandwiches from acclaimed chef Kristi Brown, who runs Communion." - Brianna Gunter

The Best Things Eater’s Seattle Editor Ate in January | Eater Seattle

"Inside the Central District’s Metier Brewing, this counter-service spot is the newest restaurant from Communion’s Kristi Brown, one of Seattle’s most famous chefs; the scene can be chaotic (on one Sunday the register area was frantic because “someone had apparently called out and one poor overworked chef was making all the food and ringing up orders”), and a line forms quickly, but service was great and the sandwiches are worth ordering. The Catfish Po’ Mi — a portmanteau of po’ boy and banh mi; Brown loves to mash up soul food with Asian cuisines — was spicy (from remoulade) and charred but also pickly thanks to pickled carrots and daikon, which “added up to much more intense and complicated flavor profile than a typical catfish sandwich.” When the reviewer was done they “wished I could have eaten it again.”" - Harry Cheadle

Communion Chef Opens Lil’ Brown Girl in Seattle’s Central District | Eater Seattle

"A quick-service restaurant from James Beard–nominated chef Kristi Brown is now open inside Métier Brewing Company, bringing many of her Communion and That Brown Girl Cooks hits in slightly altered formats. The menu includes black-eyed pea hummus from Communion; a sandwich adaptation of a boxed mixed-greens salad (fried chicken, greens, a spread of roasted yam potato aioli on one side and jerk ranch on the other); berbere wings glazed with whiskey from Uncle Nearest; a blackened catfish sandwich with tartare sauce, pickled vegetables, and jalapeños; and the shrimp toast that is leaving Communion’s menu. All the dishes are paired with Métier offerings." - Courtney E. Smith
