San Diego’s Best Filipino Restaurants | Eater San Diego

"When the Philippines and Mexico were both part of Spain’s empire, the cuisines and cultures intermingled. You can taste modern-day fusion at this Chula Vista spot. One highlight is the breakfast sandwich with a choice of meat, avocado, and eggs on conchita bread. The menu also includes traditional Filipino breakfast plates along with huevos rancheros and chilaquiles." - darlene-horn

Where to Go Eat in Chula Vista | Eater San Diego

"In a move celebrating their shared heritage and the coming together of the South Bay’s two largest immigrant groups, owners Roger Buhain and Richard Corpus successfully blend Mexican and FiIlipino influences at their breakfast restaurant. The marquee Mexipino hash scrambles spicy chicken, queso fresco, ube, and longanisa, and comes with your choice of pandesal or tortillas on the side. Menu items like spam chorizo sandwiches on concha bread and fried chicken adobo with waffles are as delicious as they are surprising on first sight." - Mario A. Cortez

Google
My daughter wanted to try this placed due to a video she saw. We stopped by during the week and it wasn’t too crowded. Staff here is friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and they had so many interesting menu items. We had the pancake pizza, definitely a must try. Will definitely be back again.

Google
I love everything about it. The food was great and presenting. Eggs are cooked better than I ever will my own. There are not many Filipino fusion food restaurants around here, so it's always nice to see that around the area. The only downside is that I tasted something weird on the bottom of my cast iron pan.... tasted like soap detergent mixed with my tocino/bacon. I wanna believe that the cast iron pan was not rinsed off well and got a little bit mixed with the food on the bottom of the dish. Dear owner or whomever that works there and sees this, I'm not here to bash on that entirely ASSUMING that was only some sorta hiccup... hopefully 🧐. I do however would like to come back one of these days and try other things on the menu and maybe bring other people with me. 😌 I would like to also mention service was pretty quick on a Friday afternoon. No one there that day as it was me and another customer so ordering food is pretty fast.

Google
Let’s start by saying that this was my first time trying this place, I had the Chunky Chorizo hash and, OMG So good! potatoes were so crispy and flavorful. The chorizo is probably one of the best in CV. My daughter got the strawberry waffle and she didn’t like it, the strawberry sauce that is on top tasted very artificial and sweet. Other than that I think this place is pretty good. Service is great, very friendly and good vibes! I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Google
I recently dined here for the first time and it was an amazing experience. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was so delicious. I ordered the Mexipino fries and the banana nut French toast. I can’t wait to return to sample more of the menu.

Google
We arrive on a Sunday about half an hour before they were closing... I know so bad of us! We have been to other restaurants where if we arrive near their closing time, they're kind of rude or they tell us it's only to go service, etc. There was none of that here! Although the restaurant was empty of guests and all clean ready to close... we were welcomed and greeted very cheerfully. We has a seat and ordered food and beverages. The food was served quickly. Everything was very well prepared and very well seasoned. Very much recommended, we will be coming back here soon!

Google
The food and drinks were amazing. We went right when they opened, so not sure about the atmosphere. The service was wonderful.

Google
Food never disappoints! My party tried a new dish this time- the torta. There were no complaints about any of the three dishes we ordered!

Google
It's was okay: the very large Ube pancake was good when you got a pocket of the Ube, otherwise it was just a large pancake. The Aodobo Chicken and waffles were tasty but very salty; had to use a large amount of syrup to even it out.

Yelp
Food was great! Definitely coming back. The hash was not overcooked, eggs cooked perfectly. Great Service as well. This place is a winner!

There was hair in my food Do the cooks not wear hair nets? I couldn't finish my meal

Yelp
Decided to give Mexipino Craft a try for brunch this morning because I was in the mood for some Ube pancakes and saw that this place offered some. Checked in on Yelp and got a free coffee to start! Came to the restaurant wearing a sweater and immediately felt the heat and stuffiness. I questioned the server asking if there is air conditioning, but there isn't because of it being an old building and only two small fans located near the kitchen. I took off my sweater, but it was still uncomfortable. I can only imagine how the servers feel if they're constantly moving around. I'd have to say that it was the first time I sweated while eating pancakes. I read a lot of reviews about the Ube pancake, some good and some bad so I had to see for myself. Some swore by it and others say that it lacks the Ube flavor in it or does not have enough. I asked the server about the pancakes and he mentioned that the Ube pancake is not a purple pancake, but instead they use dollops of Ube puree throughout. I have to say that it is definitely massive in size and can easily feed 2+ people and not to be eaten by one person. As for taste, it most definitely LACKS Ube flavor, even with extra dollops of Ube that was requested and would not order it again. I've had plenty of Ube pancakes from various restaurants and this does not come close. It's a normal pancake with bland Ube, but the pancake is fluffy. Service was pretty good, but the restaurant wasn't super busy. I would come back to try the savory menu.

Yelp
We ordered strawberry waffles, two magandan umaga (meat with fried eggs garlic rice and tomatoes), chilaquiles, and adobo fried chicken with waffles. We also got two coffees, strawberry juice, calamansi juice, and cucumber spinach juice. It's in a small strip mall. It was a little hot in there. But service was nice. Overall good and unique experience.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! The food is incredible. I'm Filipino and have never had Filipino/Mexican fusion before but this place does it seamlessly and perfectly. The ambience is very unpretentious and welcoming. The staff is super nice and very informed about the menu. We had a slight issue regarding a food allergy, but the waitstaff and kitchen staff were quick to accommodate. The FOOD: definitely get the ube pancake. It is MASSIVE and delicious. It has actual ube in it and combines it the fluffiness of the pancake mix with chewy ube. *chefs kiss. We also had the tocino bowl, which was juicy and flavorful. I especially appreciated the side of tomatoes to break up the protein a bit. The calamansi mint refresher was SO good - excellent balance between the tart and sweet. All in all, we will return EVERY time we visit San Diego. This place is a gem!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place and we came for brunch. They served breakfast all day which was great since that was exactly what we wanted to try. I got the cucumber spinach drink which was refreshing and for food I got the classic Good Morning breakfast which comes with 3 eggs cooked to your liking, choice of bacon, sausage, ham, or spam and a side of homestyle potatoes, fries, or rice and pandesal. Service was great, we were seated and served immediately. Host/server was very kind and patient. Restaurant itself was pretty clean and calm, not too loud.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered one of their breakfasts to go. I felt at home when I arrived. My food was almost ready by the time I got there. The ambience was chill. I would recommend. Their portions are pretty good. I would say 1 breakfast platter will serve two people. Well depends how hungry your are.

Yelp
I will say this, my last name is Lopez and my wife is from the Philippines . This place is a match made in heaven. I have never seen a menu like this. We loved it so much. We went there two days in a row on our visit to San Diego. July 4th and 5th. I wish I remembered the awesome person who seated us and was our waitress. Quite simply a very hard working person who made our experience great. On our next trip to San Diego you can be sure we will be back.

Yelp
The culinary experience at this establishment is truly exceptional, with a wide variety of delectable dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, offering excellent value for the high quality of food and service provided. Speaking of service, the staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The overall atmosphere of the place was charming, with a cozy and inviting ambiance that added to the enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, the convenience of having a 24-hour gym next door makes it an ideal location for indulging in a delicious breakfast after a vigorous workout.

Yelp
Besides getting my order wrong, the food was actually pretty amazing and tasty. From the name, I take, is a blend of Fillipino and Mexican cuisine. What can go wrong? The restaurant was cozy and music to my taste. I dug it. I would definitely eat here again. They got an extra star for datability. I would take my date here. It wasn't overcrowded or overpricey.

Yelp
Filipino and Mexican food - two of my favorite cuisines, so this place intrigued me! They looked to have a great selection of foods from both cuisine and we really enjoyed our food. It is deceivingly filling! The interior and vibe is pretty quaint and casual (I came in in sweatpants), food presentation was just okay. Our server was very friendly. food ordered - magandang umaga with chicken tocino: a hearty meal with filipino marinated chicken. I do wish the chicken was a tad more sweet. They also have a soy saucy marinated tomato to go along with it and it is super salty, so I definitely recommend eating a little at a time with other bites of food. - giant ube pancake: very fluffy pancake!!! the ube is just dollaped throughout, wish it was more ube infused though - chicken achiote hash: another filling meal with potatoes and chicken! very nice smokey flavor

Yelp
The fusion that simply makes sense. I ordered the pork trio hash plate because the pictures make it look soooo good and it truly was. It was savory, greasy, comforting, and oh so filling. I couldn't finish this and really wish I ordered some rice or something to balance out the meats. I also ordered a calamansi mint drink. I think dried mint was used so the mint aspect wasn't overpowering at all. I was hoping it'd be similar to a mojito but it was mostly calamansi. Great music, clean, slow on a weekday for lunch with only 1 chef (that I could see) and one server. Great find!

Reyes Kids M.

Yelp
I love the food. It tastes really good. But the wait is too long when we went on mother's day although there was only 2 table with 4 people ahead of us.
google avatar

Yelp
Mexican and Filipino cuisine... what's not to like?! Great spot for an indulgent but delicious brunch. Ordered the mexipino, chicken tocino and the ube pancake. The savory dishes were seasoned perfectly and came out quickly! Staff was very kind and attentive. Wish the ube pancake had more of an ube flavor, to me it tasted more or less like a regular pancake, still tasty though!

Yelp
My sister has been talking about this place for awhile, but I've never was around the area until recently and I'm so glad I was because the food and service was amazing! I love that they took Mexican and Filipino dishes/flavors and blended them to create really unique menu items AND they combined it with brunch! I visited this spot on a random weekday so there was no wait time and our server was so friendly and brought over every sauce that they offer for us to try. The Mexipino Breakfast sandwich is delicious! The concha as the sandwich bread was so good! It gave the sandwich this sweetness that complimented the salty flavors of the meat. The sandwich was loaded with different meats, eggs, and avocado and with a little hot sauce, it was amazing! I tried a bite of the Mexipino Breakfast Hash and also thought it was really delicious and flavorful! As far as the juices, they were good too, I did prefer the calamansi-mint just because it was slightly more tart and the cucumber-spinach was just a bit too sweet for me. I did wonder how both of the drinks would taste mixed, and I kind of regret not trying a sip of both at the same time lol. I do wish I was in the area more often because I really like this spot for a laid-back brunch!

Yelp
I met up with a friend here; I drove about 25 minutes to get here. There was enough different options to choose from and although I didn't order the pancake, someone next to us did and it was ginormous!! The food was tasty and the coffee was good too. They do refill coffee when dining in & offer hazelnut creamer or powdered creamer. It is not a large restaurant, but did not feel claustrophobic. I probably wouldn't go out of my way again to visit, but I enjoyed the food and if you're in the area, check it out, it's a different type of food fusion.

Yelp
The service was great. The food was really good. Very fresh and the strawberry toast was delicious. The mexipino logo on the wall is pretty cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for Filipino breakfast! Hugest pancake I've ever seen, the size of an extra large pizza!

Jesus L.

Yelp
Been here twice. Thought maybe they just had a bad day. Service: waited a long time for my food. I almost considered walking out. I had two kids with me and i was struggling to keep them entertained. Not sure if it was the owner but they kept serving their friends first and it felt like i kept getting cut in line after i already ordered Food: i got the same dish twice because the pictures looked amazing. Had the hash hot plate and barely for any protein. It was all potatoes...
google avatar

Yelp
Food was surprisingly so good. Boyfriend got the chicken n waffles, I had to steal some from him. I got the chilaquiles which were just as good. No complaints. Great brunch spot.

Yelp
We came in around noon on a Saturday and got a seat quickly but the place filled up quickly. We got a calamansi drink (so gooood), ube pancake (just OK), and combo pork hash plate (super tasty). Service was decent during our meal and prices were reasonable. The menu seems to have some good variety so I'd probably come back again.

Yelp
Okay, love this place. My family and I traveled to San Diego for a Tae kwondo tournament and searched for a good breakfast eatery nearby. We found Mexipino and the rest was history.... Nestled in a quaint little plaza in Chula Vista, the restaurant stood out by its modern styled logo of the Philippine sun, something I was able to identify with quickly. I ordered the Magandang Umaga with Bangus. A delicious rice bowl with freshly fried milkfish, topped with friend eggs, a nice fresh touch of sliced tomatos, and...oh, hello....finadene sauce! (More finadene please :) it was sooo good. My husband went all out and had the Mexipino Sandwich. Okay, if you're a meat lover and love your protein, then this one's got love right back for you! Spam, Tocino, Chorizo, and eggs, crafted in two slices of a sweet concha bread, with the touch of a subtle, fresh creaminess of avocado slices. The hubs devoured this beast of a sandwich, felt it later, but no regrets! The service was great, they also offered a little ala cart menu for my picky, Mexipino toddler who only eats sausages. Aye nako! The walls in the restaurant were filled with pictures of the cultural historical blend of Mexican and Filipino which added to the aesthetic of the place....something that my husband and I were able to relate to him being 1/2 Mexican and myself being Filipino. We rarely hit up SD, however if we ever end up back in the area this will definitely be our go to spot.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Been here about 3 times now and the food has always been good. Some of the dishes can get pretty heavy so I'd recommend the calamansi mint drink. Great place for breakfast and brunch, however the 1 knock I would have to disclose is their ticket time. Every time it's been 30-40 minute wait after you place your order.
google avatar

Denise P.

Yelp
10/10 if I had the option for 10 Stars. We ordered the chicken adobe & waffles. The best chicken & waffles we have had in a long time. The French toast was omg amazing. Our server was was nice and we had the pleasure to meet the owner! He definitely is enthusiastic to share his cultures served on a fusion plate! We will be back soon, with our kids! The Ambiance was cozy and love the logo!

Yelp
Had this place on my list of "Places 2 checkout" on Yelp for some time now so of course I couldn't pass up a chance to swing by for lunch while visiting Sesame Place, which is somewhat nearby. Navigating this shopping plaza is a tight fit for most cars and was a bit of a test for me and my mid-sized truck. I barely fit into the designated parking space even after folding in my mirrors. The place was empty when we popped in on a Thursday for a late lunch. The place looked clean and features an open kitchen. The menu pics posted on Yelp and on the tv screens inside show a roster of hearty breakfast and brunch items. Unfortunately, when we visited, all of the items we wanted to try were literally crossed off the menu (see my pics). Honestly, it was a major turn off to see so much of the lunch menu crossed out. It would look better to simply print out a simple updated menu to hand customers. That's just my 2 cents. Disappointed, but still wanting to support a local business, we opted to order a couple of drinks to go. - Calamansi Mint: Richly flavored. Very subtle mint taste. Loved it! Wish I ordered TWO! - Strawberry drink: Not nearly enough strawberry flavor. Basically it was cold pink water. This place seems to do a great breakfast so I still want to give it another shot when I'm down for a hearty morning meal and I'm the area. It just wasn't what we were looking for in a late afternoon meal the day we visited with their limited menu.
google avatar

Cris R.

Yelp
This place is awesome , great combination of culture and portions are the bomb!!!! Chicken and waffles are delish! And what better way to enjoy all this goodness than with the fam bam and friends . Local business and family owned my favorite!
google avatar

Jane G.

Yelp
The portions here are huge! This place is a very casual breakfast spot but they did a great job at creating delicious and unique fusion dishes. Mexipino Breakfast Sandwich - 4/5, good combination of sweet and savory Giant Ube Pancake - 3/5, average taste but super fluffy and actually giant!! You can easily split this between 3-4 people
google avatar

Blanca V.

Yelp
My husband is Filipino and I'm Mexican. So to say we were excited to try this place out is an understatement. We were so ecstatic.!! The menu is not overwhelming and has a few selections that are just the perfect portion. My husband had the Maganda Umaga with the garlic rice, bangus and he added the longaniza for an extra charge. I ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce. The Ube pancake was calling out to me as well so we ordered to share, not knowing it would be that big, it is Huge.! The Calamansi Mint water is phenomenal. I even got one to go. I highly recommend this place. It is delicious and the place is very clean. The staff there are also very friendly. There was only 2 yet they kept up with the customers. Will definitely be coming back to try the adobo chicken and waffles.
google avatar

Yelp
My torta was so delicious and with the agua fresca ! perfect for a Sunday lunch with the family ! It's a beautiful hidden area that I wish more people knew about !

Yelp
03/14/23 Tuesday. Before heading back home we wanted to eat a good breakfast before our 5 hr drive. This place was near our hotel. Clean and modern. Upon entering a female staff greeted us and got seated right away. She was an amazing host. Always making sure we were okay and if we needed anything. My husband and I ordered the "magandang umaga " breakfast. One with bangus (marinated boneless milkfish) and longanisa (filipino sausage). Came with garlic fried rice and 2 eggs any style. The portions were just right and it was yummy! I ordered coffee, free with Yelp check in. Also ordered agua frescas to go. Got the cucumber lime, strawberry, and calamansi mint! Check this place out. Happy eats!!
google avatar

Ruth Q.

Yelp
Best breakfast/ Brunch spot in Chula Vista. It was absolutely incredible!! The fusion between both cultures and foods was incredible. We got the banana nut pancake and BEWARE it is literally a 12-14 " pizza pan. It was amazing. The chilaquiles we great as well. But our absolute favorite has to be the Mexipino Fries with the Chicken Tocino, it was so good. The Aguas Frescas (Fresh Drinks) were great too! We had the lemonade with mint one. Definitely coming back!! Thank you Mexipino!
google avatar

Rayon R.

Yelp
Make sure Richie is your server. He's has great customer service and knowledge of the menu. They hold it down. Very good people. Much love. 6 Sunday's in a row and more to come. I love this place.
google avatar

Emmett T.

Yelp
I wish this place was open until the evening so they could serve Mexican-Filipino main dishes for dinner. As it stands, Mexipino Craft only has breakfast and lunch fare which are reflected by their operating hours. I stopped by after an appointment in the area to pick up some food to-go. The inside had a metallic decor and enough tables to seat about 20 customers. Parking in the Sommerset Plaza West lot was fairly reasonable. The Pork Trio Scramble was what I ended up ordering. The three meats were longanisa, bacon, and spam. There was a sweet taste to this breakfast dish which came with a side of house potatoes. The serving size was generous for the price. Some of the fusion menu items sounded interesting like the Adobo Fried Chicken & Waffles. A future visit is definitely in the cards so I can sample their other offerings. I gave four stars for the quality and quantity of food in the scramble.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Had Easter brunch here and enjoyed everything we had! The wait for the food was pretty quick considering how busy they were. The service was pretty great too. They serve fusion Mexican and Filipino dishes, and managed to find the sweet spot between the two cuisines in most of the dishes they serve. We had chilaquiles which worked as an amazing starter. The chips were freshly made and the sauce along with the other components a party in my mouth. The queso Fresca, warm runny egg, avocado, and green salsa all complimented each other really well in terms of flavor and texture. We also had the Mexipino breakfast sandwich, which had my favorite Filipino breakfast meats - chicken tocino, chorizo, and spam, sandwiched in between two fluffy Concha bread buns. The sweetness of the bread worked well against the saltiness of the meat. The adobo chicken and waffles were really great too. The waffle was sufficiently fluffy and the chicken was covered in this crispy adobo flavored batter which played off really well with the sweet waffle. It was cool too how it really tasted like adobo! The Mexipino hash had the same Filipino meats with a hash made from a mix of regular and purple sweet potatoes. It's best to have a bit of everything in the same bite in order to appreciate the flavors. The calamansi mint drink was so refreshing too! We ordered so much that we didn't really have room for dessert, but we'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Food was so delicious and service was impeccable. The ambience was very nice and homey. A hole in the wall kinda place and great restaurant to eat in when you have filipino fusion cravings.
google avatar

Vivian Z.

Yelp
This is the fusion you didn't know you needed! I've been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed! One of my favorite things is their garlic rice . I definitely recommend this place, great food and great service!
google avatar

Mason P.

Yelp
Delicious filipino mexican brunch fusion food in a small cute place. Everything was delicious and I would definitely go back. Staff was friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking.
google avatar

Kristelle B.

Yelp
Three stars. We ordered the adobo fried chicken and waffles which is huuuuge in serving and can be split between two people. Decent waffles but the pieces of chicken are juicy with crispy skin and definitely generous. However, it does not taste anything like adobo. I feel like that's a little misleading. I suggest coating the chicken with sweet soy sauce with garlic glaze to make it more adobo. We also got the tocino rice bowl that was also big however, the rice is too mushy! It's already borderline mashed potatoes in terms of texture. Kinda disappointing. The tocino is good but can the dish also be improved with sunny side up egg in my opinion. Value for money, it's not bad as two large servings only cost us less than $30.
google avatar

Nowell D.

Yelp
The Mexipino Dish was delicious a must try. Love that it's topped with an egg I could eat this dish for breakfast or dinner. I love the culture blend really reflects in the art designs on the walls to the sauces on the table. Staff is attentive and friendly.

Honest Review S.

Yelp
Been coming here since they opened and basically have tried their whole menu. Everything from the rice bowls to the tortas are delicious. Can get packed on weekends but that's normal anywhere. Food is high quality & staff is always great. Can't go wrong!

Deirdre M.

Yelp
This was our first time here & the food was delicious. The service was great too. We will definitely be coming back again. They have a variety of delicious looking food on the menu try.
google avatar

Aapril F.

Yelp
The food kinda took a while to come out but the food was pretty good. Had the bangus, not exactly how my mom would make it but it was passing. They had good music playing, the vibe was very modern
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
So yummy , Leslie was our server, she was amazing, attentive, and super bubbly. Decided to come back for the second time just try if The service is the same and yes, we were delighted to have the same service the quality of the food. Everything about this restaurant was amazing.
google avatar

Maria O.

Yelp
This visit was mostly Filipino food, so want to try the Mexican/ Filipino fusion food next time. Everything was yummy and filling.
google avatar

Karla G.

Yelp
Ambiance here was very serene and staff was extremely friendly. My girlfriend and I went to try this spot in Southbay we've been hearing about and we were not disappointed. I tried the chilaquiles and had to try the "Giant" pancake, which btw is the size of a medium pizza! My friend had the Huevos Rancheros (not pictured) and they were absolute tasty however, to her disappointment, she was only offered corn tortillas as no flour tortillas were available. Great time, great food and very friendly service. I'd like to see mimosas's on the menu thou
google avatar

Emil H.

Yelp
My family ate here and had an awesome experience. We wanted everything off the menu. Let me warn you they are not kidding when they say giant pancake. My favorite is the rice plate with bangus and longanisa with the tomatoes. I really like what they did with the tomatoes.
google avatar

Dulce R.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for awhile and finally got the chance to try them for breakfast. The menu isn't too extensive and it is a fusion restaurant. We opt for the hash and adobo chicken and waffles. The flavors were on point and the waffle was fluffy and tasty especially with syrup. The hash had a bunch of meats and all blended well together. This is located in a busy shopping centerwith plenty of parking. You walk in and are greeted and can either scan the QR code for their menu or there is a menu screen that hangs near the entrance and depending on where you are sitting, it can be easily viewed. There is a cute chic ambience and this place has a lot of "to-go" orders which could make your wait a little longer, however with a handful of people, our order can out not too terribly long after we ordered as we watched people come and go. A great breakfast/brunch spot, we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu asCustomer service is great here as well.

Yelp
I WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE BUT... It fell below my expectations. They are open during the pandemic and indoor operations can resume. Although food was ordered for here it was delivered to the table to-go style. There goes presentation and any IG worthy photos. So, technically this wasn't a to-go order and I didn't have to travel anywhere and ate the dish at the restaurant out of the to-go box should have no factor in the quality of the food presented to me. ADOBO FRIED CHICKEN + WAFFLES - don't believe the hype. The adobo fried chicken tasted weird. It either tasted like old fried chicken or the flavors of "adobo" didn't go well with trying to make it into fried chicken - either way the taste was weird. Also, It was super greasy. And the fried chicken skin wasn't as crispy as it could be. It was just disappoinDon't get me started on the waffles, they were soggy and chewy. They looked good but that's about it... they just looked good. I was hoping for crispy edges or something. Although it was served to me at the restaurant to-go style, everything was provided (syrup, ketchup, etc) minutes the butter for the waffles. I even thought left overs my my air fryer would do some kind of justice but it didn't. CALAMANSI MINT - sounds good and freaking, doesn't it. Well, it wasn't that great. Calamansi has a lemon/lime/orange flavor so to add mint in that you first get the impression of a mint lemonade but quickly turns to the orange and mint flavor which does not taste good. Have you ever tried to drink OJ after brushing your teeth... well, then you know what kind of after flavor it leaves. That's what this drink tastes like to me. I try my best to supporting local but I don't think it's worth for me to drive this far south when in between are greater dishes. Until the next review...

Yelp
My boyfriend brought me here for lunch one day, a new place for both of us, but I was excited to try this Mexican Filipino fusion style food for Brunch. We checked in and placed our order. Unfortunately they do not sell beer, wine or adult beverages, although they have the name "craft". I ordered the Mexipino Hash and my BF ordered the Chilequiles. To be honest, I liked his Chilequiles more than my hash - just my preference. It was more flavorful and we ended up eating most of the Chilequiles and he saved my hash to eat later. Interesting place to try out, I would go back to try something else on the menu. Check it out.

Yelp
this place is really great!!! i don't think photos on here do it justice. If you're looking for a filling breakfast or hangover cure, come to mexapino! went here sunday with my bf and friend and this is what we ordered! (a 4 star just because i am a huge coffee lover and i think that's something they can improve on. but everything was cooked so good and portions were awesome!) food was so freaking good tho!!
