Greek Mediterranean fusion right next to Petco Park.
A restaurant with a bit of a club vibe - huge spinning Greek Drachmae (or shields ?) over a long bar overlooks the Lower deck dining area. Our server Jenny was fast and efficient, and the place was clean, including the bathrooms, but then again it was a Wednesday night and a tad slow.
We started with the Pikilia platter which came with (in order of deliciousness) tzatziki, hummus, spicy feta, tomato basil hummus, cilantro jalapeño hummus, and baba ganoush (which I didn't care for because it was a tad watery). The dish also came with olives and was a tour de force, about 1/2 delicious and the rest ok.
Next came the Shrimp saganaki. I am torn here because I LOVE a good tableside fire, and boy did they deliver. I fear though, that the flame was too much (although very entertaining) as the resulting dish had shrimp that was a tad past cooked well, and there was a significant amount of burnt garlic or onion that make the dish unpleasant. Still thinking about that bonfire though.
We then had the star of the night - the octopus. If you eat here don't miss this dish. The flavors work so well together, the picked beet, the leek, and of course the tentacle!
Finally the mains. The chicken and the filet were both ok and tasted delicious when a dressed in a pita with fixings and hot sauce. The lamb though... ... out of this world, so tender and flavorful.
All in all, prices are fair and service amazing!
