Where to Eat in the Dynamic, Diverse Neighborhood of Falls Church, Va. | Eater DC

"This longtime, unassuming restaurant in Eden Center is a great place for anything involving rice noodles. Find a depth to the broth in such dishes as wonton or roast duck soup, and consider anything on the specials list (most recently a crispy mochi dumpling was an excellent contrast in textures)." - Missy Frederick

"A must-visit in a bustling Vietnamese American shopping center, known for a Saigon-style hu tieu of chewy clear noodles in a rich broth loaded with shrimp, fried tofu, quail egg, and squid, and for bun dau mam tom—a Hanoi favorite featuring a pungent fermented shrimp paste served with a platter of rice noodles, herbs, pork belly, cha com, and tofu for crispy, dippable bites that keep diners coming back." - ByBon Appétit Staff & Contributors

Very good Vietnamese hu tieu! Food was fast and delicious. Service was good, and the place was clean. When we went there wasn’t any wait at all. Reasonable pricing too. It was authentic! Everything in Eden center was awesome but we decided to try this place out this time and it’s exactly like how Saigon felt!

Google
The service we got was great! Our food was delicious and came very quick! I have nothing to complain about here!

ERROR ERROR

Google
Came in with my mom as she's been here before and she got the roasted quail with egg noodles again which she said is very good and I ordered the deep fried frog legs. I've had frog legs once before when I was young and enjoyed them, I did not enjoy these frog legs. Very bland, they did not season the batter for the frog legs or have a sauce for them. We also got a Vietnamese coffee which was good, a bit bitter but not terrible. Also fair warning if you can't speak Vietnamese it may be hard to order depending on which server you get as the one we had attending to us had trouble communicating with us in English. Staff was very nice though and I will likely come back. Also has a single user restroom.

Google
The food were soooo good!! I had banh beo chen, bún đậu mắm tôm, crab hot pot and couple of drinks. I loved all of them and had a great experience there. Coconut coffee and fresh coconut were both delicious as well! I also got more to go for some food on our way back home as well. Highly recommend all of the food and drinks I got.

Google
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant. We’ve been here many times. The food has pretty large portion size, good price, and tastes good. The service is very friendly. Even though the restaurant is very busy, they answers our questions patiently. The restaurant is always packed.

Google
This place was relatively busy on a weekday lunch hour. I had their hu tieu. It was fine. But I'm not a fan when places leave shrimp tails on in soup dishes. It just seems like a hassle although it's probably just a me thing. The table and spoons weren't very clean though. They had the self serve utensils at each table and I went through almost every spoon available until I found one that was clean enough, with no food stuck to them. That was a big turn off for me.

Google
Mi La Cay had been known for their authentic style Bo Kho (Beef Stew). I had eaten it there many times in the past. As of 2021, they removed most of the fat from the dish. This has inevitably altered the flavor, and I cannot recommend this dish any longer.

Google
Yummy. Fast service. Nice staffs. I ordered Bánh Bèo chén (steamed rice cake) and duck bamboo shoot noodle. Recommended this place. 👍

Yelp
I love eating here when I come to Eden. They have some of the best noodle dishes. I usually get hu tieu mi lacay or their banh canh. They have very good bo luc lac (shaking beef) as well. If you visit here on the weekend the tables will usually be quite full as it is a popular restaurant here at Eden Center. Service is very fast they take your order and have food come out in like 10 minutes. One thing to note- as of my dine-in here in July it looks like they have raised all dishes and drinks up by $1.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good, fresh, and service was really fast. We went on 2/2/2025 (weekend after Lunar New Year) and it wasn't busy at all. The crispy noodles were crispy, while the soft noodles had great chew. Ambiance was expected for a typical mom & pop Viet restaurant. You had some people playing Bau Cau Ca Cop (Vietnamese Gambling Game) in the back. Kinda like how people say, if you go Chinese restaurant and see a kid doing homework in the back, it's a good restaurant. Good price for no frills.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious Vietnamese food in Eden Center! Really enjoyed the goat curry here and would come back here just for that! It was super flavorful and I didn't know this was a Vietnamese dish. The wonton soup was pretty standard, but very comforting. The papaya salad wasn't my favorite - the papaya was a little too raw/hard for me and there were a lot of flavors going on, but maybe I'm just used to the Thai version. Definitely come here mainly for the curry!
google avatar

Yelp
No good service, very very bad service. I never ever come back, i can't believe the old woman so rude! I gave for her 1 star ...

Yelp
We are from Orlando visiting Washington and of course we had to stop by Eden center aka little vietnam. As Vietnamese, the food here is decent. I've had better hu tiểu kho but overall it's decent not too bad! Def give it a try at least once

Ti N.

Yelp
My go place for Hu Tieu La Cay. The bowl was huge and generous with the meat and seafood toppings so when I read about the small portions that made no sense. The banh it ram is a must try. Service is friendly and food comes out quickly.
google avatar

Linh N.

Yelp
Decent Vietnamese food in the Eden center. Went during opening time and the service was very good. Very attentive staff. I recommend trying the mi la cay or hu tiêu because that's what they're known for. The other dishes are just average.
google avatar

Khanh-Chau M.

Yelp
Pretty standard Eden Center restaurant service in my opinion. Food is decent if you're craving any particular Vietnamese dish for a decent price. My hu tieu kho was tasty with the soup, but the meats they gave were generous - was very full when I finished. I also got the coconut ca phe and I wouldn't get again. The drink was $6.50 and was mostly ice and couldn't really taste anything coconut.

Yelp
wanted authentic viet food in the famous eden center and popped in this restaurant because it had a lot of people. got seated really fast and ordered the shrimp and pork udon soup and partner ordered duck with rice. food was yummy but not anything out of the ordinary and satisfied our craving. overall, i would recommend this place for its atmosphere and simple food!

Yelp
CASH ONLY RESTAURANT Mi La Cay is a classic for a lot of "older generation" Vietnamese people, which is why I actually went here. They're really good for to-go, and I was able to place orders fairly quickly here, with a good turn-around time. I got the com thit nuong w/ cha gio, as well as about 7 other orders, and everything was prepped within 30 minutes. The food was solid, and the staff were friendly.
google avatar

Ailun H.

Yelp
FYI - CASH ONLY!! Overall, a 4/5 because I really liked the hu tieu but the portion sizes were pretty small for the price ($12.95). The hu tieu with chewy clear noodles, shrimp, fish balls, and calamari was phenomenal. There was a good amount of seafood in my bowl and super tasty. I really liked how flavorful the fish balls were (probably my favorite one of the seafood) and the amount of umami flavor that fills my mouth after every bite. I love chewy clear noodles and it soaked up the broth well, which was flavorful and easy to slurp throughout my meal. My only complaint is that the portion size was pretty small and I was left still a bit hungry after I finished my food. Will definitely return to try other hu tieus or the pork chop and rice entree that my friend got (large portions and seemingly very tasty)
google avatar

Cam H.

Yelp
Tastes like a whole vietnam, very authentic. Mi vit tiem (duck egg noodle soup) their hu tieu were on point. The duck soup had a very distinctive flavor and smell. If you like a blend of Peking duck & soup, you may like this dish. Service is hit or miss and depends on the server that day. Since it's an authentic viet place, service mostly is a miss for me but I settle for the food. It's def not an upscale spot or anything, actually doesn't look that nice inside. But the food makes the experience worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
A small family ran restaurant in Eden center. The fry Mi La Cay came with a small cup of soy sauce that you mix into the noodle and you get a small bowl of soup. I recommend adding in some pickled pepper to enhance flavors.
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
Decent place for hu tieu. Im a fan of the dry hu tieu and this place has pretty quick service. The portions are decent for the price. Two hu tieu bowls were about $32 and they accept cash only. The dry hu tieu is my favorite and it also come with a fried shrimp. The ambience was pretty quiet for a Sunday evening though.

Yelp
Pretty solid spot to fill the Vietnamese craving in Eden Center! Stopped by on a Saturday around noon and it wasn't too crowded. We got the banh beo chen, garden rolls, and rice vermicelli with grilled pork, shredded pork, and crispy rolls. The texture of the banh beo chen was very good with the toppings, and the garden rolls had a lot of vermicelli inside compared to other spring rolls I've had. The rice vermicelli dish was much bigger than expected and the meats inside had good flavors that worked really well together. There were also a ton of fresh vegetables, which was exactly what I was looking for. The food came out pretty quickly and the service was overall solid as well. After eating, you go to the counter to pay based on your table number-- we were a little confused by this. They accept credit card now too, which was a big plus.
google avatar

Yelp
Best place for Hu Tieu. Hands down. Don't get anything else. You can either get your hu tieu with clear noodles, pho noodles, or egg noodles. I usually go for the clear noodles cause it's chewy. Cash only, there's pictures in the menu if you need help, and the employees are quick and nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Literally only came here for their banh beo!!! It was so so good and we shared 15 of those for 2 people lol The coconut coffee tasted like a frappe and service was super quick. Casual old school viet restaurant that reminds me of home :)
google avatar

Yelp
The store is old and dated, but you never know. Sometimes, there's great food in small old shops. They do not have pho, but they have hu tieu. Hu tieu is a South Vietnamese dish that can be served as a noodle dish, a noodle soup, or a noodle dish with soup on the side. The soup contains pork-based broth as opposed to beef-based broth in pho. Hu Tieu also contains fewer spices and seasonings than pho which makes it less flavorful to most people. It is served with pork and/or seafood as opposed to beef in pho.    My wife and I visited twice. We got Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho, Bún Bò Huế Chå Cua, Gỏi Sứa Tôm Thịt, Mì Xào Dồ Biển, and Bún Chả Giò - Bi & Thịt Nướng. The Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho had tapioca noodles, barbecue pork, ground pork, shrimp, fish balls, squid, pork liver, a quail egg, and spring onions. It came with a side of bean sprouts, sliced jalapeños, a wedge of lime, and a crispy shrimp cake. The shrimp cake had a whole piece of headless shrimp with the shell left on. The shrimp was stuck to a square-ish thin rice cake. The whole thing was deep-fried and incredibly oily. If you love the flavor of oil from a deep fryer, then this is for you. The shrimp was mushy with only a little flavor. The shell was very chewy. It was horrible. The ingredients in the Hu Tieu were cooked well. It had a mild broth that tasted like it was made with chicken broth, some pork, onion, salt, pepper, and sugar. A nicely balanced flavor, but not much depth. This dish has a good variety of ingredients, but I'll take pho over this any day!!    The Bún Bò Huế Chå Cua had thick rice noodles, chicken roll meat, pig blood, pig's feet, sliced beef, and onions. It came with a side of bean sprouts, basil leaves, sliced jalapeños, and a wedge of lime. Chicken roll meat is a cheap deli meat made from a mixture of chicken meat and seasonings that is pressed into a log shape and baked. The thick slices of chicken roll had a mild chicken flavor seasoned with MSG. It belongs in a sandwich, not this dish! The pig blood was shaped into small cubes. It had the texture of firm tofu. It tasted similar to ground pork liver mixed with the unique flavor of slightly salty human blood with a hint of metallic flavor. Not good! The other ingredients were typical. The broth was a fatty chicken broth that was moderately spicy with an aroma of chicken fat, pork, and a strange pungent smell that I thought was from the blood. We took leftovers of this dish home. When it was reheated, it smelled like rotten meat and fart. Don't get this.    The Gỏi Sứa Tôm Thịt (jellyfish salad) had jellyfish, pickled white radish, white onion, cilantro, carrots, roast pork, shrimp, shrimp chips, cucumbers, and fried onions. There was a small amount of jellyfish. The sauce was sweet, sour, and peppery. It had the taste of anchovy sauce, rice vinegar, red chiles, salt, and sugar. The roast pork was chewy, dry, and bland. The rest was fresh and very good. Despite the pork, we enjoyed the textures, flavors, and uniqueness of this dish.    Bún Chả Giò, Bi & Thịt Nướng had rice vermicelli noodles, shredded pork, grilled pork, mint, basil, lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, and green onions with a spring roll on top. It came with a fish sauce that was sour, sweet, and hot. It was like the sauce in the jellyfish dish with less sugar and chiles. It wasn't good and the portion was small. Adding lime juice and garlic would help. The shredded pork was dry. The grilled pork was crispy, firm, and somewhat moist. The whole dish was rather bland. They need to improve the sauce and then provide more of it. The crispy spring roll was good because the filling had a variety of ingredients instead of just cabbage.    The Mì Xào Dồ Biển (Lacay Seafood crispy noodles) had baby corn, snow peas, carrots, broccoli, bok choy, straw mushroom, shrimp, squid, fish balls, bamboo shoots, and crispy egg noodles. You can get soft noodles instead of crispy. It had a simple thick broth sauce that was a little salty with a slight sweetness. The sauce was weak and lacked depth of flavor. The shrimp was overcooked and quite chewy. The fish balls were somewhat soft with a very mild fish flavor. The squid and vegetables were cooked well and had good natural flavors. The crispy noodles were thick and not oily. They had a good fried flavor. So, if they can fix the sauce and not overcook the shrimp, this dish could be very good.    The service was minimal. A server takes your order, your food is delivered, and no one checks on you. If you need something, you walk up to a server and ask. They don't acknowledge hand waving. You pay for your meal at the cash register. It's cash only! The restrooms were worn and had dirty crevice areas. The dining room was clean. This restaurant has a problem with making good sauces and broth. Some ingredients had poor quality. Eden Center has plenty of better restaurants.

Yelp
I have been eating here for years with my parents. They enjoy the Hu Tieu (Pho's cousin), but it's way too light for my liking. I enjoy more saltier, msg-rich broth (lol) which is common for the younger generation. The real money maker for me here is the Com Tam Dac Biet. I feel they make it better than a lot of other places in the DMV. Com Tam is a platter of different type of meats, fried egg, and pickled veggies over rice. Mi Lacay's version comes with a skewer of shrimp. Very big and generous portions. Meat is more tender than most places (had a pork chop from Pho Duong that was like a tire... yuck) and the shrimp has a nice grilled flavor to it. The best Com Tam!!! While the Hu Tieu is a bit lackluster, definitely try the other menu options as they are fantastic.

Yelp
Food: I always come here order " mi la cay", it delicious. Nothing wrong about the food. Service: so damn terrible. Feel like they cheating with price. The menu said 9.75 and they charge me 14.13. I ask why. They Said ," price change" so I ask how much was it and they said 10.75. I understand price went up cause pandemic but from 10.75 to 14.13 that is crazy. She said " oh tax". I ate at other restaurants their tax doesn't tax that high. They so shady with the bills so many. First time I give the cash expect for my change which only couple dollars, she didn't give my change I had to ask for it. Even couple dollars I like my change back so I can use it for tip. I let it go cause I think maybe she busy or something in her mind so she forget. Same thing happen to my mother and my husband. I been fan of this restaurant for a long time but it so disappointing with the way they handled money. Definitely lost me.

Yelp
Seated right away, no frills. Menu typical and basic. Food is average priced right I guess considering the area. CASH only. Pay at counter after you eat which is usual for a VIET establishment. Will i come again? Perhaps not because there wasn't anything special in my opinion. It's mediocre menu wouldn't make me take a 2nd look. Plenty of other places to check out.

Yelp
We came here to Mi La Cay Cho Lớn for the first time. Above all things, we really liked their customer services. The manager or owner of this place walked out to the door greeting us with his smile. We got to choose where to sit. The server was great. We ordered the noodles only and I don't have anything much to comment about the tastes/flavors because I believe everyone may have different tastes about foods they like or dislike here. I was okay with the noodles but because we don't like the pork meat and livers in our bowls which these toppings may be the favorite of others but it is just because we are not the pork eaters or saying come to the boiled pork/liver things... however, their menus are long, have plenty choices which I will try in another time. Over all: I like this place very much because of my first time experienced very nice customer service at a regular Vietnamese restaurant in the Eden Center, Falls Church area. I recommend it!! Merry Christmas of the 2021. My note to the Manager/or that Staff today: Thank You for your nice service today and keep up the same great work. Thursday, December 23, 2021

Yelp
This place is cash only place. Make sure you have cash to dine in. Customer service is not nice also. They will tell you to go to the ATM get cash to pay for your meal. Not everyone carries cash around with them. Food is okay. Same as other place. Decoration is nice. I personally don't like cash only place. You can give this place a try but I don't recommend it. We just buy some Togo food coz we saw the customer service is not nice.

Yelp
Tip: cash only! This place is NOW open for business, seating inside but there are also tables picnic-style available outside (throughout Eden center) which allowed us to order to-go but ate outside at one of the tables. It took only about 15 minutes for it to be ready too, which was pretty quick! Great value, great prices. My friend and I ordered #45 and 48, which were the rice dishes with roasted pork and chicken and an appetizer order of summer rolls. Both came with a side of broth, rice, and a small salad and sauce. Amazing flavors for the pork and chicken. Out of the two I preferred the chicken dish because the pork had some fatty parts, and chicken in general is a personal preference of mine, but still tasted delicious. The meat isnt dripping in sauce that you can pour over rice, but it came with a cup of your typical Vietnamese fish sauce (nuac chom type) that you could pour over your dish and salad. The summer rolls were delicious, fresh-tasting, and the peanut sauce with it was amazing. Such an amazing meal and we were plenty full afterwards.

Yelp
Love this place! Usually when I go, i'll order the Mi Lacay Dac Biet. This dish can come with the noodles in the soup, or dry with the soup on the side. This has egg noodles with shrimp, pork, calamari, fish balls, imitation crab and topped with a shrimp cake / cracker. Be prepared with cash as this is a cash only spot and don't come in expecting great service. They will come over to take your order and deliver the food / fill up your water but if you need anything else you'll need to flag them down.
google avatar

Jane K.

Yelp
This restaurant has a lot of potential. The flavors of the broken rice dishes that I had earlier to-go were great, however the broken rice was a little on the dry side and the meat was overcooked. The meat kind of reminded me of jerky which I am not a fan of personally. The togo order did take some time due to the high volume of takeout orders.. I will come back to give this place another shot!
google avatar

TuongVi P.

Yelp
We had jelly fish salad and hu tieu mi la cay. I had never had such bad jelly fish salad. It was not crispy/chewy like how it should be. It was super sour. Hu tieu was alright, no where as good as hu tieu at Mekong cafe in Baltimore. It had very little meat and little flavor. The staff lady was acting like she didn't think we were worth sitting in the restaurant. Very irritated attitude was what i felt though I tried so hard to be friendly. Sad. The older lady cashier was very sweet when I came up to her to pay my bill. It's a cash only. So after all those reasons, the cash only is another good reason not to come back again.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Visiting from SoCal, my bar for Vietnamese food has always been high. This place definitely delivered top notch hu tieu imo. Ordered the dry noodle and it was clutch. Starving and hungry from the cold, the portion and broth were done just right. Lots of different meats and bits to enjoy in this delicious bowl. Service was prompt and friendly. Would highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Dong Huy P.

Yelp
The food is good but the very negative point is customer services. I have 12 guests and the server messed up my order. Ok that is fine. I understand the situation that the restaurant is crowded. However, after paying at the counter, the server yells at my mom "where is the tip" in front of the whole restaurant. My mom actually paid and tip at the counter before. He is mad because he didnt receive tip on table and he keeps yelling at my mom. I talked to the one at the counter. Yelling at customers in front of the whole restaurant is very rude and unacceptable. I would not come back here!
google avatar

Tracey L.

Yelp
I am a regular here. My parents took me here when I was little & now, after long Saturday nights, I come here on Sunday to eat the duck soup (best hangover cure btw). I absolutely love the food, I think the broth is rich and flavorful & the duck is fatty and cooked perfectly. The combo makes a fire soup and I recommend trying it when you come here! I want to emphasize that with any authentic Vietnamese restaurant, you will not receive the best if any, customer service. Personally, I don't mind if they are a bit ruder, louder, etc than other establishments. I personally feel like it's a part of the eating experience here lol. And it definitely doesn't affect the quality of the food. I definitely recommend coming here and giving the duck soup & getting a feel to see if you like it or not!

Triple H G.

Yelp
Best noodle I have ever had after years. My brother keep telling us to go to this restaurant because the lacay noodle here taste amazing. And he is right I am always picky and only eat a little amount of food. But I finished this bowl so fast, even got two extra to-go for my family. Recommended Mi Lacay Dac Biet (Kho) also people (may bac) there is friendly and funny . Happy experience
google avatar

Lily F.

Yelp
We've been in here twice now since Covid because it's one of the few places that are open for dine in. Social distancing isn't a thing here, although there is a lot of sanitizer everywhere. I've ordered their rice combo dish before and their bun bo hue this time around and both items were just okay. The soup didn't have as much spice or flavor as I would have liked and the meats for the rice dish came out just a tad too dry for my liking. It's a solid place if you're craving Vietnamese food but it's not my favorite in the area.
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
Tucked away in a corner at the Eden Center is this gem. Out of all the restaurants in the center, this is my place for Vietnamese noodles. I love their Hu Tieu Kho - it is amazing. From living in Houston and raised in SoCal, Vietnamese is incomparable - but this place is so close to home. If you're looking for a place for a good bowl of noodles, definitely come here. Only downfall is cash only.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Got the Hu Tieu , been here quite a few times. Food is always consistent, and service isn't bad. The interior is clean, however I will say this place looks crowded (not people wise) because the tables are really close together. Looks like there's a bar in the back, but I'm under the influence this is a beer only place. This is one of the few places remaining in the Eden center that only takes cash, so unless you feel like being a dishwasher.. bring cash.
google avatar

Alisa N.

Yelp
The food is really good but you must check your bills before you pay. The older lady always overcharge me but I didn't catch her first time but I catch her couple times later! She said oh sorry . Check before you pay.

Yelp
Before I tell you what I think I will tell you my credentials: I am a first generation Vietnamese person who grew up with viet food and has visited the motherland. Now that that's out of the way, on to the review. This place is my go to. I'm revealing my secret right now. This is my it place for when my stomach misses a taste of viet food that my mom won't make or doesn't know how to make that well (sorry mom). There's only a couple of things I always come here for: Com Tam Dac Biet - which translates to the specialty broken rice with everything and it comes with a little bowl of broth. Yum!!! Hu Tieu Dac Biet - it's a mix of clear noodles and egg noodles in broth and you get your choice of a shrimp cracker that's soft or crispy. Go with crispy and dip it or soak it in your broth. Kinda like when you drop cereal in milk and soften it a bit. Mi La Cay Mì Xào Mm - Mi La Cay noodles come in soft or crispy form and a medley of veggies and seafood. Sometimes you wanna go easy on your jaw and just order the soft noodles. That's me. I'm lazy to chew crispy noodles. Side note: it's CASH ONLY. Also, don't expect amazing attentive service. This place is hardcore viet service. They take your order, give you the food sometimes refill water, but leave you alone and don't ask if you're good when you're in the middle of a bite. My fav. When you're done, you walk up to the counter to pay. I'm gonna be so sad if this place gets too popular and packed and I have to find a new go-to viet restaurant. Food IG: @eatupdmv

Yelp
Taste okay. Not as good as I expected. Their crispy shrimp taste like they were fried by old oil. Their drinks are really good tho! Give yourself a try and you will know.

Yelp
One of my to go to Vietnamese restaurants at Eden center. Everything is quite decent, and the price is very reasonable. I usually order Bánh canh suong, it is so delicious. Their hu tieu is good too, a lot of topping. The portion is very large. I personally think this place is so underrated and it is actually so much better than many other popular restaurants at Eden. The only cons I have about this place is that they only take cash. In addition, like all Viet places, the service is okay, don't expect too much from the employees.

Yelp
Daddy/Daughter lunches usually run the gamut from endless bottomless fries and milkshakes at Red Robin to the finest filet mignon at Ruth Chris. Not with my pops. I can always guarantee that he will take me to some place completely random with a name that I would never be able to pronounce if my life depended on it. Today's lunch was no different. He told me to meet him at "Mi La Cay" -- I searched high and low for this place only to find out that it's real name was actually seven different syllables. My dad suggested that I order the restaurant's specialty "hu tieu", a Vietnamese dish that I never had before. To break it down, it is a rice noodle dish topped with a healthy heaping of lettuce, steamed shrimp, a fried shrimp wonton, fish cake, thinly sliced pork, liver, and squid. On the side is a light scallion broth that you can pour into your bowl or eat on the side and a brown sauce that you can dip your toppings into. The dish can also be served "wet" with the broth already in the bowl. I skipped the pork and liver in the bowl but still found the dish to be hearty but fresh tasting. All of the different flavors from the broth, to the seafood, to the noodles, and the sauce was a wonderful and exciting combination that was both familiar and new to me. Can't wait to go back for seconds!

Yelp
You would think from the previous negative reviews with the servers/owners' attitudes, they would change by now but nope! Food was decent and the services/attitudes from those people were terrible!! I've never felt so much tension and rushing to eat to get out of a restaurant before until today. Food came out before our waters, and when I asked for water again, the server replied "yeah, I know, hold on" and walked a way. Mind you, she was saying that as she was walking away from our table. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a few steps down to Huong Viet and try their place! Please don't waste your time here.

Yelp
This is the SPOT for Vietnamese food in Eden Center. They do have a Mi La Cay location in Wheaton, MD.. but I do not think its comparable to this location at all. I love eating here for their Hu Tieu (get the clear noodles and broth!), loaded with pork & seafood. They have fresh vegetables and protein for your dishes. If I'm not eating Hu Tieu here (which I am 90% of the time) I recommend getting the Mi Xao Gion (crispy fried noodles) or the Com Dac Biet (house special rice plate). These three dishes here are always solid every time. I love places that offer Nuoc Rau Ma (Vietnamese Pennywort Juice) as a drink and they blend theres with ice so it's icy drink that goes great with your food. Just remember your cash - this is a restaurant that accepts CASH ONLY!

Yelp
Pretty decent noodle soups of various kinds. Mi La Cay has a good amount of toppings and delicious broth. This is our go-to spot for noodle soups. Service is good as well.

Yelp
*CASH ONLY* Meh, I think they have gone down in terms of quality over the past years. We both ordered hu tiu kho (dried vermicelli with soup aside). They were just plain in general despite the amount of soy sauce we put in. Not authentic at all. Service was ok on a Sunday morning. It was crowded but they served food in a timely manner. I would recommend mi (noodle) instead of hu tiu.

Yelp
Visit Dc for a couple days and my wife want some noodles. We went to Eden Center and there are so may choice , don't really know why we step in to this restaurant.:(( 1. The lady served us so rude, seem like she doesn't like her job ( we pay to eat not beg or ask it for free ) , she like to enjoy her earphone than customers. 2. We ordered the broken rice and bowl of ducks stew noodles, i have to say it was a bad decision that i ever made, the rice was dry, pork meat tasteless, noodles soup broth way to salty. Would give it negative star if possible. I don't understand how could they open in Eden Center.

Yelp
When your aunt, who grew up in Vietnam and has lived in San Jose for the past 10 years, comes to Eden center and says this is one of the best restaurants she's been to... it means this is legit!!Definitely one of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The Hu Tieu is their specialty. It comes with a side of broth, plenty of meat, and a crunchy shrimp cake that you can dip into the soup. Enjoy! Don't forget to bring cash!

Yelp
I'm going to base this solely on service since I didn't eat the food... because of the service. I walked in, told them it was a party of two and the guy throws down two menus at this table with 6-8 seats? We saw an empty four top table so we pointed to that asking if we could sit there and he glared at us and said you sit here, pointing at the large table and walked away. Yeah, hard pass. No thank you. Not going to sit through a meal with that bad attitude and bad waiter.
