Miami's Best Pizza

Really excellent pizza, their tomato sauce has a punchy flavor to it. This has been a miami establishment for the longest time and they have a great history here. The location is nestled right by the university and the parking can get a little interesting but there is plenty to find. The pizza comes ripping hot out of their oven and is delicious to eat, packed full of flavor. They have their own unique unapologetic style of pizza and the dough they use feels lighter than others I've had. It can get a little pricey for the specialty pizza's but they offer lunch deals throughout the week. I'll definitely have to come back some time! My only minor caution is it's a bit pricey! 2 drinks and a pizza added up to more than I was hoping for.

I was a regular at Miami’s Best since late 1980’s and the pizza was so different so great! As close to NY pizza as one can find in Miami, referring to the dough, pizza sauce, and the way it was cooked. Very reliable, very consistently great. Not Any More!!! The dough, to be specific, tastes and appears like it’s been taken from a cheap frozen pizza box. Tastes like gluten free dough 🤢. The sauce remains very very good, ingredients are what they are, fresh and good quality. It’s sad to say it’s no longer what it used to be as far as a NY style pizza. I keep ordering occasionally hoping it’s the same as its former self, but still no luck. Maybe one day. 🤔

I normally do not leave reviews but my experience was infuriating. In an empty restaurant it took me 40 min to get a single slice of cheese that was AWFUL. Workers walk right by you and pizza is even worse than service. Just do better. Couldn’t pay me to go back.

Went to “Miami’s Not The Best Pizza” on Nov 15th and purchased a small pepperoni pizza for my son who was super hungry. Had 2 people ordering 2 large pizzas AFTER me on a NOT busy at all time with multiple staff hanging out and joking around while I was waiting. I saw the 2 people ordering after me walk out before me. I waited 45mins for a small Pizza which then was totally soaked on the bottom and my son who passed out in the meantime while waiting woke up and waited for this. I didn’t receive any apology from the staff for the extended and ridiculous wait for a small pizza because they forgot to prioritize their job over serving their waiting customer. I will never return there, unfriendly and overpriced pizza with substandard quality. If you want great pizza with great service go to Mr. O1 in the Grove, they actually value their customers time with better service and the pizza is 150% better quality. ✌🏽

First of all waited at least 10 minutes for someone to take order. I know its Saturday but come on. Evidently cashier did not understand my order. I paid then thought why was it so expensive for 1 pizza? Came back to cashier to correct the order but she said it was too late to change the order or get refund!!. We sit down to wait somemore. People behind us got their pizza first??? I only tried this place because they said it was good. Its not. I still prefer the big cheese sorry I didnt drive there today!

After standing in front of the restaurant for 10 min and being ignore by the staff. My family and I decided to take our business somewhere else. The pizza may be the best in miami. I guess I'll never know.

Miami Best Pizza, is not what it used to be. $47.00 for pizza and two drinks! Pizza did not taste like the original from the early 2000! The wife and I used to live at the original location when Dave used to work there, he was awesome. Our pizza was under cooked, and did not taste all that great.

The service is always top-notch, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. But most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. I've been a regular customer for a while now and I've never been disappointed. I especially appreciate the great job done by John and the staff. Great bar-like atmosphere with delicious pizza! There is plenty of seating for big groups or solo diners. The counter staff employees are friendly and outgoing. Definitely earns its title as Miami's Best Pizza.

Ok seriously, there is a reason why this is called Miami's Best Pizza, because it is in fact, Miami's best pizza. From the flavor of the sauce is incredible, to the crisp pepperonis, to the perfectly oven fired crust, what's not to love about this pizza? Take out or dine in their no frills sports themed restaurant which is bound to be playing a UM game. Staff is super friendly and you can even watch them toss the pizzas from the glass window. When we were kids, I remember going there and tapping on the glass in hopes they would throw some cheese on the window, which would make us laugh!!! Yes - this place has been in business that long!

We're trying different pizza places in Miami. Several friends have recommended this one. We ordered a meatball appetizer and a white pizza. Both were good but I should have ordered the 5 cheese pizza instead.

Miami Best Pizza makes very delicious pizza; I have been a customer for many years. This year specially the prices are extremely high. They charge you like $ 3.00 dollars for paying with credit card. Yesterday I order a 10 inch cheese pepperoni pizza and a 14 inch white pizza. They charge me $ 49.00 dollars . The pizza was horrible it looks old lime they gave me a pizza that was done hours before. I do not recommend this place anymore.

As the name says it is one of Miami's best pizza. It's also very well located next to university of Miami. Came here to pick up some pizza for my kids that requested it. I ordered a spinach pizza to try, regular cheese, and the garlic pizza. When I went to make the pick up like I was told I had to pay at the other register first so I did just that. It's a bit confusing since one place says order here and the other says pick up with a register. I'm assuming that when it's busy they do use both? I waited patiently and finally was attended to by the cashier. Super nice and polite. I was able to get an order of free garlic rolls so that was awesome. When I got home I was able to try the pizzas. They were all very good. The breading is good which makes for a good pizza. The garlic pizza seemed dry and when I read the description I saw it was supposed to come with red sauce which it didn't. All in all the pizza is good. The establishment service is ok. Wish they would have given me the sauce! That pizza was so dry.

Looks like a typical pizza place. Pretty solid New york style pizza. Got a half pepperoni half cheese and we devoured it. Good quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. We've only done take out and it's been a good experience. They were open on New Years

I haven't been here since it moved from across the way. When we walked in, it smelled like someone had left a pizza in the oven too long, though the smoke had dissipated. We were coming from a UM function and this was super convenient. We weren't that hungry so just split a sub, and it was a good size to finish filling us up. The Italian had ham, capicola and salami. Oh, and provolone. I like my cheese melty, so it could've used minute in the oven, but it was tempting enough to not want to wait any longer for that. It was good, although a bit of robust Italian flavored herbed olive oil could have sent it over the top.

Somewhat hidden away in Coral Gables by University of Miami is Miami's Best Pizza. It take some balls to proclaim yourself that but it wouldn't be a UM pizza spot without the swagger. Parking is mostly on the street. Unsure if there is additional parking in the back but inside the place is pretty spacious and very clean. Many UM sports photos and jerseys line the walls. We ended up ordering a 14" pizza with half Pineapple/Bacon and half cheese along with a half dozen garlic rolls and some fountain drinks. The garlic rolls came right out and were decent. They had a good amount of garlic and butter but the bread tasted a little bland. The pizza itself took a while to come out and it looked a tad over done. Crust was a bit thick but had a nice crunch to it. Kids liked it and we ate it all. But would I say it was Miami's Best, not quite. Is it one of the worst, not at all. I'd place Miami's Best somewhere in the top middle of the Miami pizza scene. Also in term of value we thought $20 bucks for a 14" pizza with 2 half toppings was kinda pricey but garlic rolls and soda were fairly priced. We also got to try their carrot cake for dessert and it was very fluffy and creamy. It was definitely a hit with the crew. I would say if in the area give Miami's Best a try as you won't be disappointed but don't come expecting the best pizza you've ever had in Miami and save room for dessert.

After our the most horrible experience ever with the old Miami's Best, we tried to give the "new" one a chance, and it's still awful, except now the pizza isn't even that good anymore. Staff has an attitude, too. I'd rather pay a little more and go to A'pizza Brooklyn and get a delicious, hot pizza and be served with a smile.

Kinda what you expect for late night pizza. For feeding a large group this place was perfect because of the different sizes of pizza. The cheesecake was ok, and the garlic rolls were ok.

Save yourself the time and money and go to dominos next door. Oil is obviously cheaper than garlic because you order garlic bread and just get oily buns Pizzas mid af too. Miamis best is a stretch

Ordered pizza Saturday night at about 830pm for pick up.I had to call 3 times because they would simply pick up and hang up. I finally was able to order and was told it would be 30 minutes. I arrived and was told it wasn't ready so I waited. After waiting for a while I went to ask and was told the pizza was given to someone else by mistake. They had to make a new one. It's now 1050pm and I finally got the pizza. The order should have been free due to their mistake. I am on my way home and I get a call telling me that my order has been ready and they are closing I need to come and pick it up. I don't get what all the confusion was but it's not the first time from what the staff told me.

Truly unfortunate news that my all time favorite pizza place is no longer:-( I was there just yesterday and boy were we in for a surprise! First, the young lady at the register has got to have the absolute WORST customer service skills ever! She takes your order as if she's doing you a favor and really nasty attitude! Rolling of the eyes and all! Next, the manager advised us that they are under new ownership and new management so whatever you were used to is no longer. That should have been enough for us to leave but we decided to order our usual and there goes our next mistake; the pizza was oddly shaped as of it had chunks off the edges missing and the seasoning was so off that we kept repeating our food the entire night! It was indeed a pepto bismol night:-0 The ambiance was packed due to a game at UM but that's ok, except an employee sees us trying to get a table clean and tells us to ask for disinfectant and rag at the register! You have got to be out of your God forsaken mind if you are expecting your customers to clean up before they sit down! Good luck to the NEW owners and the NEW management. Let's not forget the coral gables police officer walking into the kitchen and all around the restaurant as if he's in his personal kitchen helping himself to whatever! I don't know how hygienic that is considering he's not employee.

i would NOT recommend the food is mid and while I has eating I heard loud and clear the manager degrading and cursing out employees for something so stupid. And i honestly would not bring ur kids here where the manager has no respect for there employees let alone customer. the employees were nice but they could only do what they can. and the place was honest dirty and unsanitar.

Garlic rolls were really good, but pizza was merely ok. Not bad but nothing to write home about either. Take out was courteous and fast.

It ain't the Best anymore. "It will be ready in 20-25 minutes" turned into an hour, and the order was F'd up beyond... No sandwich orders after 4pm? Wha wha? Nasty looking kitchen, duct taped together and dirty like I don't want to order here anymore. Ew. The sticker on the prep station - C5H10 - I googled it, it's Cyclopentane, a highly flammable chemical used to make insulation in fridges. Might want to at least scrape the sticker off.... jus saying.

I work nearby so occasionally go here for lunch. I've had good pizza (the lunch specials include a huge slice-of-the-day and a drink for about $8). Yesterday my co-worker and I ordered wings and garlic knots. We munched on the knots while we waited for our wings. Twenty minutes later we are informed there was a problem with the stove but the wings were coming. Fifteen minutes later the lady gave us back $20 of our $24 total (I guess minus the garlic knots) because of the snafu. Five minutes later we got our wings and had to take them to go (lunchtime was over). We had half the order with the special house sauce and half with the lemon pepper flavor. The wings with the (slightly spicy and sweet) house sauce were tasty, but the wings themselves were kinda rubbery. I think they needed to cook a little more. The wings with the lemon pepper flavoring were crispy (the way I like them). But mamamia I felt like I was eating salt-covered wings. Because that's all I could taste and it was practically inedible. If we hadn't gotten the $20 refund I would have brought them back. The wings themselves were large and meaty. So, my friend and I plan to go back and order naked, well-done wings with the house sauce on the side.

Solid 3.5 STARS I ordered a slice of pepperoni. In short, the pizza was delicious, just needed a touch more sauce and needed a lot more Pepperoni. The size of the slice was huge, had an amazing ultra thin and crispy crust. The perfect amount of cheese where it didn't weigh down the crisp as-well. If only there a touch more sauce and a lot more pepperoni. The amount of pepperoni on it should've been a crime.

Walked in and it was quiet, not busy, and there was one guy making pizzas. I placed an order for a personal (10") pizza (cheese) at 16:26. After sitting until 16:40, I was asked for my order # and what I ordered. I was told it would be about 10 mins. Ten MORE minutes? Yes. At 16:50 l, I walked to the window into the area where the guys were making pizza and shared my growing frustration by putting my receipt up against the window and tapping my watch. The guy making pizza came out and looked at my receipt "It takes time, we have to prepare, put in the oven, and...". Wait. What? It's not in the oven yet? It is now 16:57 and still no pizza but there are now three guys making pizza. Update: I asked for a refund and had cash in hand when the owner and manager arrived on the scene. At this point, the communication and customer service were sincere and on point. The resolution: a refund and the pizza, and 40 minutes lost to waiting for pizza. I hope it is really good because the wait was horrible. Update #2: The pizza wasn't good. It was soggy and droopy and too much chees. Apparently, they say the slices and larger pizza are better. I don't know and won't know because I will not be back. After all that...the pizza was not good. Damn.

How did we get here? This is an average pizza, it's not the "best" as they have self proclaimed for decades. Everyone on these comments can agree on that. I don't mind paying premium for something that's worth it. But this place is charging upwards of $22 for a 14 inch pizza. It's no surprise to see the place half empty on a Friday night. The pizza is average tasting and the price is outrageous. For those reasons this place gets 2 stars from me.

Really good pizza and garlic rolls. Good for families. Also they have a nice lunch special where a slice of pizza and drink is at reduced cost. Does get busy before UM Baseball games.

Finally got around to sampling this Miami classic. Happy to say it lived up to its name. Had a slice of the daily special. It was tasty and fresh. The sauce is tasty so that's a good start. Then the breading is thin but I was still able to bend the slice in half which is my favorite way to eat a good slice of pizza. The bacon used for it was actual bacon not pieces of fake stuff. We were treated to Garlic rolls that were soft, warm and had not only garlic but also a nice blend of herbs. I never thought there could be a new spin on garlic rolls but here it is! At the end of lunch my daughter and I decided they can continue to claim being The Best!!

Awesome love this pizza. Thank God it opened again. Smaller place but they do great pies. My only place to order from.

Epic Fail Ordered 2 - pizzas one They did not even get it right HOW CAN YOU SCREW UP 1/2 and Pizzas are done getting cold they have not even started cooking mozzarella sticks. Still frozen in freezer. WOW 4 stars for management stepping up to the plate to fix it as fast as possible

One of the best pizza places in south florida, even the best in this part of town. Great sauce, toppings are high quality and great bread.

We've been coming here for years and it's great that's it hasn't changed. The service is good, the food is delicious, good portions, well priced and great to see some of the relics from the old location. One of our favorite pizza spots.

In town for a job. visited Miami's best as I was going to the U of MIami baseball game. There was a kids birthday party going on and it was loud but yet that is to be expected. Wanted to do a sampler so I ordered a sm Ceaser, House Wings, Sm Pepperoni & sausage pizza. Ceasar was very good I like my Lettuce a little more chunky. Dressing was nice and light, next came the wings with the house sauce. LOVED THEM could eat them everyday. Cooked but Moise Great flavor, a little spice. They asked how I like my Pizza crust, THIN CRUST, CRISPY it was PERFECT Great sauce Great cheese. I am from Oregon Wish Miami's Best Pizza was in my back yard. CHECK IT OUT

DELICIOUS! I am a pizza snob and usually only go for NY style pizza. This place is the exception! We got it delivered and it was piping hot when it got to our home. Omg it was soooo cheesy! Totally forgot to take any pics before devouring it all. Our delivery driver was super nice. Definitely trying more soon!

The name says it all!!!! this pizza place never disappoints I love eating in,as well as picking up. To me, everything is delicious. I love their pepperonis,garlic bread are good too.They are always very welcoming. You can actually see when they're making your food. It's a great family atmosphere. I recommend it 200%.

The food was passable. The pizza was ok although he got the order wrong. but the Arugula salad was horrible. a bunch of arugula thrown in a bowl. it used to be better but has clearly gone down hill

The word here is inconsistent. Sometimes you get a decent pizza sometimes it's mediocre at best. The service is good and efficient. Ambiance is college crowd due to location next to UM campus.

The pizza was very fresh and they have a lot of seasonings you can add on your own. I will definitely be going back! I got a medium size pizza which comes with 6 slices and was a good size to feed two people.

This was my high school meet up spot. Had a horrible experience tonight at another pizza place down the street called La Pizza for a celebration for my boyfriend. We had just left the other place and craved pizza. I remember they open again and was still open. Perfect timing and so many good memories from my high school. Glad I shared this moment with my boyfriend and had an amazing dinner. Definitely going back again! DON'T GO TO LA PIZZA WHICH IS DOWN THE STREET.

I don't know why people think this place is good. I waited for 30 mins inside the restaurant after they called me and told me it was ready, almost got in a fight with a lady who accused me of cutting because of lack of direction from the cashier, and went home with a soggy disappointing pizza that tasted like water. The only people who think this pizza is good are people who have never had a decent slice. Go to Apizza Brooklyn and save yourself a disappointment.

I've been wanting to try this place for over a year and am very happy that I finally got around to it! I had to work Friday night and decided on the way in I'd pick up a few pies from this place so I called and placed my order. I actually liked doing this since I haven't ordered pizza this way in years. They told me it would be 40 minutes so I timed it correctly on the way to work. It's right next to the Titanic Brewery and restaurant where you can park on the street right in front. It was limited and I saw the small parking lot next door packed to the brim. I walked in and after paying was sent down to the other side of the restaurant to pick up the pies. I thought that was very cool how they have that payment process set up because you can see through a glass window the entire back of the house making pizzas from start to finish. I ordered a small personal sized mushroom and pepperoni along with a large Miami special which has all the toppings. I get mine well done with light cheese and the pictures are below. I was very impressed and this is now my favorite pizza place out of every single pizza place I've ever had in Florida! Yes it was that good..... I loved the sauce and crisp along with just everything. Phenomenal pizza for Miami! I should have tried it sooner and looking forward to ordering here again in the future. To management: Keep up the good work because you surely live up to your name!

I come here often for their lunch slices! One slice of pizza is very large and I am able to split it between lunch and dinner. The service is always very quick for the slices and the vibes inside are great!

I was there for the first time with my friend and we had a GREAT TIME! It was honestly one of the best services I've ever received at a restaurant, and the food was awesome. The lady at the counter was super helpful and sweet and fun. I highly recommend going there!!

Solid pizza. Cheesy, thin crust goodness. We did half cheese and half pepperoni. Also got the cheesy garlic rolls but not sure where the cheese was but regardless they were delicious! Crispy outside and fluffy inside. The only downside is the pizza took forever. More than 30 mins. The decor is nothing fancy. Felt very old school Miami which I liked.

Irene is very nice every time I go to pick up lunch. Good service and great pizza! Was offered a free meal once when my order was mistaken for someone else's which was very kind.

Very good food, customer service is on point, and the atmosphere is very nice there, very family friendly, good for birthdays and parties, the pizza makers always put on a show for the kids
