Tucked in a historic building, this luxury steakhouse serves perfectly cooked meats and stylish seafood in a refined yet inviting atmosphere.
"Located inside the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile hotel, the glam steakhouse from the basketball GOAT will showcase Election Night events on large screens." - Lisa Shames, Ashok Selvam
"There’s no real reason to go to Michael Jordan’s Steak House unless you want to eat a 23-layer chocolate cake the size of your head. Connected to the InterContinental Hotel on the Mag Mile, this place feels like it’s stuck in MJ’s heyday. The main dining room upstairs is a cross between someplace high schoolers go for a "fancy" pre-prom dinner, and a place where fur-coated tourists visit because they don’t know about Chicago’s storied steakhouses. And while service is attentive and warm, unfortunately, the food here is as snoozy as the scene." - veda kilaru, john ringor
"Marcus mentions his love for the double-smoked maple-glazed bacon at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Season 1. The Bulls legend’s Magnificent Mile restaurant is a place to splurge, serving flights of filet mignon and New York strip along with warm lobster tail and 23-layer chocolate cake. There’s even a $75 cocktail made with Jordan’s favorite rye and tequila for those really looking to go all out. There’s also a little ’90s Bulls story in Episode 4, Season 2 with Luca in Copenhagen." - Samantha Nelson, Ashok Selvam
"Unless you want to eat a 23-layer chocolate cake the size of your head, there’s no real reason to go to Michael Jordan’s Steak House. Connected to the InterContinental Hotel on the Magnificent Mile, this place feels like it’s stuck in MJ’s heyday—complete with a carpeted staircase, dark wood, and plenty of basketball memorabilia on the walls. You’ll see work colleagues in Jumpman caps taking selfies, and lone diners staying at the hotel trying to use up their per diem in the casual bar area. In contrast, the main dining room upstairs is a cross between someplace high schoolers go for a “fancy” pre-prom dinner, and a place tourists in fur coats visit because they don’t know about the best steakhouses in Chicago. And while service is attentive and warm, the food is as snoozy as the scene. The short menu is filled with nondescript dishes like seared tuna, overcooked lobster, and steaks that have a high chance of showing up at a temperature different than what you ordered. If the draw of bronze basketball decor is too strong, the best game plan is to order the garlic bread topped with a rich blue cheese fondue (trust us, it works) and that chocolate cake. photo credit: Kim Kovacik photo credit: Kim Kovacik photo credit: Kim Kovacik" - Veda Kilaru
"The Magnificent Mile restaurant serves decadent dishes and drinks such as maple-glazed double-smoked bacon, a 32-ounce tomahawk ribeye, short rib truffle pasta and the Golden Goat, a gold-leaf topped cocktail made with all of the basketball legend’s favorite spirits. But the ultimate indulgence comes for dessert, where Jordan’s retired Bulls number serves as the inspiration for the ultra-rich 23-layer chocolate cake swirled with whipped cream." - Samantha Nelson, Eater Staff
