I was in the neighborhood since my son was taking a cooking class at the nearby Schoolhouse Kitchen. My son and I decided to stop in Migos and were so glad we gave it a try. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and my son ordered the chicken wings. The wings came with a side of fries and a biscuit. He loved everything. The biscuit was “heavy, crispy, and fluffy inside.” The chicken was “juicy and had good flavor.” I’m a sucker for cauliflower so I was excited to try them in tacos. They didn’t disappoint. They had a variety of foods that we want to try so we’ll definitely be back.

OMG, Y'all!! This is one of the BEST, off the beaten path restaurants in Chicago! We drove ALL the way up from Hyde Park and really didn't know what to expect. The space, though super small, is eclectic, with some very cool decor. The ambience and vibe are on point. Cool music playing as well. The customer service is IMPECCABLE! The food is INCREDIBLE!! We're GREEDY, so, we ordered the guacamole, the elotes, the fried chicken torta, fried chicken strips, lamb tacos and beef barbacoa tacos. The portions were HUGE and all entrées came with sides of either fries, which were AMAZING, or beans and rice that were quite tasty. The chicken strips came with a honey butter Biscuit that will make you slap your Mama! Not knowing how much food was headed our way, we had the audacity to order the hot donuts as well. They are more along the lines of huge beignets and were hot and scrumptious! This place is a GEM and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone !! We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

had such a great experience here and will definitely be back. it can be so hard to find a halal restaurant and they definitely delivered. the beef barbacoa tacos were so good and the meat was so tender. couldn’t leave without getting a refill of the peach drink. donuts and cookies were amazing! incredibly kind owners!

Congrats Chef! The jerk cauliflower tacos were so flavorful and the cojitas cheese is a nice compliment to that kick of heat. Also at the table and super delicious too was the fried torta sandwich w/crinkle fries and the chicken tacos.

Had a chance to try out Migos finally after having them at many pop ups. The hype is REAL! Some of the freshest, most flavorful food I have ever had. I wanted to try a bit of everything with my friend. We got the chicken al pastor tacos and the lamb barbacoa tacos. The chicken tacos were some of the best I have ever had, and usually chicken tacos are a bit dry to me. But these? Were perfect. The lamb tacos were also pretty good but the chicken outshines it. The potato empanadas were serious, like so fresh and flakey. You can tell it was freshly made and not just sitting out there. The star of the show 100% has to be the chicken and biscuits. Like that biscuit was so buttery and flakey and not dry. The spicy butter really compliments them well. Also tried all three juices and the kool-aid hibiscus is a must try! Overall, this has to be my new favorite spot. Especially for those tacos alone! I will be back!

It’s my first time I really like the decoration and the atmosphere was amazing. The owner is so kind .to be honest I try the tacos beef 10/10 and and chicken chawarma very delicious I love it I took also a juice fresh .The best option is not expensive .I recommend it for you guys especially with friends it’s the best destination 👌

Let me start off by saying Food is amazing! My favorite is the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos!! So much flavor is a MUST TRY!! If you haven’t been to Migos Fine Foods, let me tell you, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

Amazing tacos and fried doughnut. My husband had the lamb and I had chicken- both of them were amazing! I also tried the strawberry lime aqua Fresca which was also good. Would return, one of the most flavorful chicken tacos I’ve had! Great customer service

The food was good. The elotes were not what I was expecting. They come cold; they are pre-made and prepackaged. It was okay with the complimentary chips. I'm actually not sure if the elotes come with chips or if the chips were supposed to be accompanied with a salsa. We did not receive anything with the chips. The fried wings are very crispy. The biscuit is buttery and worth buying a la carte. I ordered a lamb smashburger for myself and while it tasted great, it felt it came with the wrong bread. I couldn't eat all of it because it is quite filling. My husband ordered the fried chicken torta and shared the same thoughts- the bread doesn't feel right. With the fried, breaded chicken and other fillings, the torta felt too heavy. Each meal was served with a mound of seasoned fries. The hot donuts are delightful and huge. They're very much like a beignet and are served hot, covered in a sugar glaze and powdered sugar. Unfortunately we were already breaded out by our meal so my husband and I split one! The space inside is smaller but there is seating for maybe 10 folks. I think as far as halal food goes, it's nice to have this as another option instead of Indian and Middle Eastern food. It is better than other halal fried chicken joints.

I've been wanting to try this place out ever since they opened. Their menu is small and unique, and I really wanted to try their Fried Chicken Torta. I called the order in and they said it would be done in 15 minutes. They must of have been slow that day because of the quick turnaround and an empty restaurant when I picked up my torta. I was hesitant in ordering this at first because of the price. The $16 for a torta was just too much. I ordered it anyway. It came with a fried crispy chicken thigh, chihuahua cheese, migos sweet heat sauce, beans, avocado, lettuce and tomato all in between a toasted telera bread. What you get for sixteen dollars is a huge ass sandwich and definitely worth every penny. Everything tasted fresh and the their sweet heat sauce really made dish sandwich come to life. I really thought this place would be a one and done but I will definitely be returning.

Saw this place on a local food influencer Insta and I knew that I need to try them out. I wasn't disappointed at all. I ordered the lamb smashburger and it was so rich in flavor. It's a large Sammie but I managed to finish it off. My wife and son enjoyed the lamb & beef barbocca tacos. Definitely coming back to try a few more items.

Looking for a menu with a variety of foods and it's HALAL? Definitely check out Migo's. We have tacos, a lamb smash burger, empanadas, drinks, and their doughnuts. Everything was pretty good, my fav was the lamb smash burger.

Migos Fine Food is a must stop if you're in the area. It has a tiny space a few spots to sit which a group of us that went did. But it seems like the locals order for pickup. We were greeted warmly by the lady at the counter and she was super friendly and understanding with the different questions I was asking about the menu. Great customer service really elevates an experience. I couldn't make up my mind so I ordered a few different things off of the menu such as the lamb smashburger, potato Empanadas, charred elites, lamb carnitas, strawberry cucumber drink. With the amount I spent I earned some of their doughnuts. Before I even get to the food make sure to try their doughnuts. They are large, fluffy and delicious. They did not miss a single thing with their food. They serve halal meats. The lamb smashburger I am still dreaming about it, the lamb was seasoned and tender and the way it comes together in a smashburger form just genius. The starters with the charred elote I was pleasantly surprised as it was more of a dip as it came with chips. I will need to go back to try more items off their menu. They wowed me for my first time.

This is just an outstanding operation. The empanadas are good, and the little tub of red salsa they come with is outstanding. The lamb carnitas is an amazing box full of food -- delicious lamb cut with a nice salad, but the rice and beans they come with are so outstanding they almost steal the show. The biscuit is also excellent, as is the fried chicken. And the watermelon cucumber limeade is just a tiny bit savory and salty in the perfect way, I almost couldn't believe it wasn't a top-flight cocktail. All of this is apparently halal to boot -- the way they can get pork-like richness, flavors, and textures out of lamb (in the carnitas) and turkey tails (in the beans) is nothing short of inspiring. One of the co-owners happened to be at the register when we came in and he was also extremely generous and friendly. If you're anywhere even vaguely nearby you need to come here. The question you should be asking yourself is how much of the city you are willing to drive across to get here.

This was our 1st time trying Migos & it did not disappoint. My friend & I ordered & shared a Fried chicken torta, Lamb smashburger, potato empanadas, & hibiscus kool aid. Everything was very flavorful & seasoned to perfection. Even the salsa verde that came with the empanadas was on point. It was a generous amount of food with the sandwiches & a side of fries. We will definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Great spot! A few seats inside but we did take out. The spicy empanada was fantastic. The fries were perfectly salted. I have the lamb cheese steak which I believe was on a torta bread, also fantastic. My husband said the fried chicken was really good too. My elotes came cold, but so cold I think it was intentional? Either way not bad but needed a little bit of spice.

Our group shared the chicken torta, lamb burger, al pastor tacos, chicken basket, potato empanadas and elote. Everything was fantastic. Great service, clean restaurant area and just delicious food. Will definitely be going back.

I'm not sure if I simply ordered the wrong items but this place was just ok. The fries were terrible. No seasoning whatsoever & were rubbery so much so that my wife spit them back out. Lamb cheesesteak was more akin to a burger with a Hawaiian type bread to boot. Twas entirely too soft to even remotely resemble a cheesesteak. Tacos were the most tolerable. Nice balance as no ingredient overpowered the other but can't hold a candle to the city best. There's incentives daily, I received $2 off my taco & there's a yelp check in incentive. Doubt I'd return though

I really like this place. Their chopped salad is amazing. I have ordered it numerous times. I've also had the fried chicken torta, lamb smash burger, and the lamb carnitas meal (my favorite). All are very tasty and unique. Very happy to have them in the area!

There are a few restaurants in Chicago that both defy convention and still have delicious food. Migos Fine Food is one of those restaurants. First, they have an a wide and eclectic menu with a good variety of food. They have everything from Mexican food, like tacos and tortas, to more American style comfort food. For example in my one order I got tacos, French fries and a smash burger. Second, their food is delicious. I went for lunch and I ordered French fries, a fried chicken torta, a lamb smash burger, potato empanadas, chicken al pastor tacos, glazed donuts and a fried chicken torta. Everything I ordered was delicious. I particularly liked the french fries which were crispy and perfectly fired, the tacos were very flavorful and the fried chicken torta which was juicy and huge. Also, the glazed donuts, that are cooked to order, are a must order for dessert. Third, the decor is colorful, bright and fun. The restaurant is small, but it's colorfully decorated. In particular, I liked the green feature wall with their logo in neon and the beautiful mural. The cool decor makes eating there an even more pleasant and fun experience. Fourth, the service is friendly and passionate. Everyone I interacted with was nice and seemed to love the restaurant and their jobs. One note, as many of the dishes are made to order, don't expect the speed of a fast food restaurant. However, the extra bit of time it take is well worth it. In sum, this is a must visit hidden gem.

The menu is so vast that you could spend months (and many pounds) trying everything on it. I don't see many halal places with this many options. The lamb carnitas were fantastic. They had a nice bit of heat to them that felt like more of a slow simmer than a fiery explosion. I ate it on a hot summer day, but I can imagine that it would be a godsend on a winter's night. The lamb smash burger was also good, but I didn't like it as much as the carnitas. I think maybe it was too well done, or lamb is just not meant to be burgerfied. The biscuits were great along with the butter they provided. The employees there were extremely nice and the inside of the store was clean and welcoming. I know I will be back several times.

Quick friendly service in this Northwest Side neighborhood spot. Very cool and clean space. I had spicy beef empanadas that were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Their rice and beans were great as well. I will be back to try more items soon.

Visited Migos Fine Food yesterday and ordered the chicken wings, which came with fries, a biscuit, and three sauces: ranch, a homemade-style barbecue sauce, and a sweet spread for the biscuit. Overall, the meal was enjoyable. The biscuit was buttery and paired well with the sweet sauce, which was delicious. The wings and fries were served steaming hot, which I appreciated. However, I have a couple of concerns. First, I prefer my wings served whole rather than broken apart, so that was a bit disappointing. Second, I noticed some hairs on the chicken, which raised questions about the cleaning process. This issue made me hesitant, as I wasn't sure if the hairs were from the chicken or something else. Despite these concerns, the meal was good overall, but I'd recommend that the restaurant focus on improving the preparation and cleaning of the chicken for a better experience.

Everything was perfect! The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! I personally had the lamb barbacoa tacos and they were great. The owner was extremely welcoming to me and my friends, and even gave us free beans to try (they were great). I would highly recommend to everyone.

Migos is sooooo gooooood. The delicious things I've had on different occasions are: tacos, biscuits, potato empanadas, the beans are AMAZING, and lamb smash burger. The items that were good, but didn't blow my socks off were: the cinnamon sugar donuts and the rice. The donuts were a decent size, but personally I would have liked more cinnamon sugar coating. The rice is a bit lacking in flavor for me. With that being said, the sauces are all very flavorful and were a good addition to the rice. Also we met one of the owners Azazi and he was more than welcoming. It's been nothing but great service at Migos. I'll be back!

Currently opens at noon til 9pm. Off the corner of montrose Ave Milwaukee a quant spot to eat great tacos, empanadas salads and more! Great service from staff with a smile. Knowledgeable about the menu. Great music playing in the background. Great prices. No public restrooms. Street meter parking.

Ordered takeout. Our first time. Was greeted warmly and food was ready in the time they gave me. Had the Beef and Lamb Barbacoa tacos. Both were flavorful and well stuffed. Both sauces pack a unique flavor experience and pair with either taco. The kids chicken tenders were homemade but if you have a picky eater, maybe see if you can get the fries without the seasoning. The rice was a little bland for me, but the beans were out of this world. I would eat them by themselves as a meal. Will recommend to friends and be back.

This place caught me off guard. It's really good and the staff is friendly. I tried the lamb smash burger and the Philly cheese steak/lamb. With two of their drinks they make in house. I'll Highly recommend people to check it out

Omg this (while my first) is setting halal Mexican food so high of a bar. The atmosphere is so cool and while the spaces isn't large the flavor is. I ordered the lamb carnitas and man I'll dream of how tender the food is and how good the dressing is on the salad. It was so filling and it came out fast but not in the preordered sense, but in the fine tuned service way. The elites was a great starter and I can't wait to come back.

100 percent would recommend. The food is Delicious and what makes this place amazing is the owner ..... super nice and very welcoming he even gave us empanadas on the house . The place is very pretty and the music playing in the background it's definitely a vibe. Will definitely be going back . Highly recommended the sugar donuts.

Amazing, incredible, perfection, heavenly, etc... We had the lamb cheesesteak and smashburger and both agreed that it may be the best we've ever had. The breads, the meat, everything was just perfect! I'm ready to go back for seconds already. The portions were big (SO many fries!) And the hot doughnuts just melt in your mouth. I'm absolutely in love with Migos. Unreal. Also, the woman who was working was the nicest!!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Everything we had is absolutely amazing. Excellent options for people with dietary restrictions. Just excellent everything. Go throw money at them.

Delicious new taco and more spot in Portage Park neighborhood. The cauliflower tacos were off the hook delicious. I'd put them up next to almost any meat taco. The side salad was a legit interesting delicious salad. So fresh with a light tangy dressing. Can't speak for the lamb smash burger because my husband ate it so fast. Can't wait to go back and try more items! The cookies were very tempting! Please go support this new neighborhood spot!!! We need restaurants like this to stay.

This place is fantastic. I had the chicken tenders with fries. It also comes with a fresh tasty biscuit that is buttery and flakey. So good! They provide sauces for your tenders and this amazing butter as well. Friendly service too! Can't wait to go back and try the other food items! I definitely would recommend this place!

I ordered the beef barbacoa tacos and spouse ordered wings. Both were amazing. The biscuit that came with wings was best we've ever had. Also got potato epenadas. They included 5 different sauces. Wasn't sure which went with which meal but variety was fun .They have their own delivery people which is so nice. We are ordering again tonight.

The counter staff is outstanding. This is my new favorite place for tacos! Looking forward to trying most things on the menu.

This place was delicious! The chicken pastor tacos were full of flavor and the tortillas were warm and fresh. The lamb cheesesteak sandwich was amazing! A different take on cheesesteak but did not disappoint at all. The biscuits were soft and fluffy with a delicious chipotle honey butter to accompany them. The chicken wings were fried to perfection and the fries were seasoned just right. The Hibiscus Kool Aid was to die for. The service was just as great as the food. I will be back to try more items on the menu. 10/10 would recommend!!

We ordered the beef barbacoa and chicken tacos, rice and beans, and biscuits with the chipotle honey butter. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We also had the potato empanadas which were delicious as well. Also, the jalapeño strawberry lemonade was fire (not literally too hot, just really tasty). Ozzie, the owner, was super friendly and made sure we were well fed before we left! The space is cozy with a colorful and chill vibe. Will definitely be going back soon!

Ordered delivery of chicken and beef tacos, small salad and a slice of hummingbird cake. Oh My Lanta! Some of the best tacos I've ever had! And the tortillas were stuffed, enough for another meal. The salad was so good, everything fresh and tasty, topped off with a delicious lime-honey vinaigrette. The cake was great as well, made with real goodness. Let me say this about the delivery: the food was packed with care, with hot and cold foods kept separately. I was surprised by how thoughtfully everything was packed. Will be back to try other menu items. What a treat!

This is a new fast/casual spot in Portage Park. I don't follow or know much about Halal, but this was delicious. Had the lamb Smashburger and it was SO good -- salty, juicy, and a little sweet from the onion jam. A must get for lamb lovers. The accompanying fries and my order of elotes were also very tasty. Highly recommend.

Amazing food! Friendly staff, great service. The dine in area is super cute, has a wall with pretty cool art work on it. I had the cauliflower tacos and the mushroom tacos. Both so full of flavor. I'm honestly shocked, many places don't season veggie tacos. This place is the bomb dot com. I'm so glad it's so close by my house!

Great food, excellent service! Ryan was at the counter and taking care of the front. He was friendly and made sure everyone was happy with their food, which was delicious. I had the fried chicken torta. The chicken was crispy outside, moist inside. The sauce was perfect combo of a little kick and sweetness. The avocado was fresh and delicious. All the ingredients melded perfectly. It is a small venue but very fun, cool mural on the wall, lots of fun tile in front of counter, and other touches. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for the first time today and will definitely be back on a regular basis. It's a unique menu - halal fried chicken, wings, tacos, smash burgers - all of it looks delicious. We had lamb barbacoa tacos and jerk cauliflower tacos, and they were both amazing. The cauliflower tacos were some of the best veggie tacos I've ever had. So much flavor I forgot I was eating cauliflower. Cant wait to go back and try the halal fried chicken and everything else on the menu!

I've loved everything that I've tried at Migos. I like that their menu is different and everything is homemade authentic. You can tell when you eat it. I would suggest going.

Was happy so see the owner working the front taking our order. Chef Jup provided great recommendations on what to order and everything tasted great. The variety of flavors present in the menu was cool to see, my personal favorite was the the jerk cauliflower tacos. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
