London’s Best Vegetarian Restaurants | Where to Eat Vegetarian in London | Eater London

"This newest branch of the popular vegetarian mini-chain is located in large, bright Dalston Square just behind the Dalston Junction train station. The menu travels the globe, and the cooking at this branch is particularly vibrant. Stand-out dishes include wood-roasted cauliflower with charred leeks, skordalia and turmeric almonds; and substantial, spicy-sweet jerk tofu with rum guava glaze, coconut rice and peas, mango slaw and fried plantains. Fans of the Polish beetroot and white bean burger with pickled red cabbage and gherkins — it’s back on the menu, though it’s now served in a brioche bun so tastes a bit different." - Sejal Sukhadwala

An absolutely lovely waitress made me feel welcome and looked after. The menu was full of dishes I’d not seen elsewhere, so I was happy to try new things. The cheesecake in particular was great. I would have liked a separate plate for the corn rib cores, but apart from that, all the food items were great. The cappuccino was a surprise, as it was the best coffee I’ve had in my life! The only thing I didn’t like was the music that suddenly got turned up really loud toward the end of my meal.

Came here for sunday roast, there were a lot of free tables so isn’t necessary to book. Super friendly and attentive service! The roast was good, but not the best I’ve had - I was really looking forward to the Yorkshire pudding but it was a bit stodgy (but I was thankful to have my first Yorkshire in years nonetheless!)

My husband and I, both vegans, recently dined at Mildred’s with our non-vegan family, and we were all absolutely blown away! From the first bite to the last, the flavors, presentation, and generous portions exceeded our expectations. My husband enjoyed the delicious Caesar salad with rashers, I indulged in the tremendous mushroom pot pie, and our family chose the Korean crispy burgers—each dish was bursting with incredible taste and beautifully plated. To top it off, we shared the Tiramisu and Sticky Toffee desserts, which were simply divine! Our family, who are not typically vegan, were amazed and even said they couldn’t tell the difference. A special shoutout to Leo and Dan, who were both attentive and welcoming, making our experience all the more enjoyable. The entire team, from the chefs to the staff, truly delivered a stellar experience. Thank you Mildred’s, for an unforgettable evening! We’ll definitely be back!

Good fabulous, cocktails excellent, service exceptional. Service was attentive but not pushy. Friendly but not forceful. Great recs over cocktails and served quickly pre theatre. The food was very tasty, succulent and modern. Great to see a vegan restaurant that is chic and not full of Buddhas.

I had an amazing meal here today, we went for the tasting menu which was an only £25 each, well worth going for this as the food as usual is yummy and it reminds that I need to come back more often. I almost forget its here as it's slightly hidden, but what a hidden gem it is. Such a good find and the manager Dan was really helpful and welcoming, plus he recommended a dessert to take home as we were too full (only £5)

Lovely Sunday Roast. Just what we were looking for. There were 3 options and we went for the Harissa Carrot & Seed Loaf. Couldn’t have asked for more. Roasts after 3pm on a Sunday would be a bonus

We visited Mildreds at Dalston Junction on Christmas Eve for the second year in a row, and once again, they exceeded all expectations! The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious, and the service was truly unforgettable. We loved the festive touches on the Christmas menu—temporary tattoos, Christmas crackers, and fun photo props—it all made the evening extra special. It’s safe to say I’m making dinner at Mildreds my new Christmas tradition! A huge thank you to Ana, Léo and all the staff for looking after us so well. They went above and beyond to make sure all our requests were met. Can’t wait to come back next year!
