Yelp
We stopped by for a sweet treat on a saturday maybe 10 minutes after they opened at 5pm, but there was already a long line with at least 8 people in front of us. I was a little skeptical at first with their long line, no samples, and slightly more expensive prices, but definitely think this spot is worth the wait if you have the time.
FOOD
My boyfriend and i both ordered the milkbomb sandwich with ube pan de sal. They allow two flavors for the milkbomb, so I ordered mine with cookies n cream and butter brickle (vanilla + toffee) topped with the additional torched fluff. My bf had manila mango, creamy horchata, and fruity pebbles on top. The pan de sal icecream sandwich is a super unique and delicious idea that lives up to the hype. We liked that the ube pan de sal wasn't too sweet and didn't overwhelm us with sugar too. Next time I would share it with someone else since it comes with two halves, and two flavors if you're in between flavors with someone. The price seems steep, but its a really big portion size, so one is really enough. Also make sure you get a lot of napkins and eat it right away, because it gets messy. I think next time I may just get a scoop of the butter brickle, the flavor for all the heath and toffee lovers.
SERVICE
I am super indecisive when ordering, so when the first thing i saw on yelp was no samples I was a little disappointed. Although there weren't any samples, the staff was super nice and helped me decide between two flavors with a little description and recommendations.
The wait was around 30 minutes, but there's a few signs in the window warning customers that its a one/two man business in the back. The space is pretty small and making the milkbomb is probably not as easy as scooping, so the wait is understandable.
Ohh the service was also very thorough asking exactly how toasted I wanted the fluff to be. We loved how friendly the staff was too, making my man giggle, twas truly the cherry on top.
top advice:
1. get there early
2. be patient
3. and share
