The 16 Best Ice Cream Shops In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Milkbomb serves great ice cream, but our favorite thing at this Portrero Hill shop is their Milkbomb Sandwich. Imagine several scoops of ice cream packed into a halved glazed donut, then griddled until warm, and topped with ingredients like torched marshmallow fluff and cereal. The bun gets soft, while the ice cream stays miraculously firm. Get thai tea or avocado if they’re available." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

HONEY, let me tell you about this DIVINE little ice cream sanctuary called Milkbomb that just SNATCHED my taste buds and left me GAGGING! This gem in SF is serving up frozen REALNESS that will have you throwing shade at basic ice cream forever! I strutted my fabulous self in and ordered their signature ice cream sandwich with Ube pandesal – that's right, that gorgeous PURPLE Filipino bread – stuffed with lavender Ube and orangey Thai tea ice cream. The CATEGORY IS... flavor ELEGANZA, darling! What's the T? This dessert isn't that sugary sweet nonsense that leaves you feeling like you just bathed in simple syrup. No ma'am! It was perfectly balanced, and when I made a complete MESS (because eating pretty is for amateurs), my fingers weren't even sticky afterward! Can I get an AMEN? This is the perfect post-dinner dessert that won't leave you OVER-SERVED in the sweetness department. Consider me SLAIN, children! Milkbomb Ice Cream, you better WERK! *tongue pop* TENS across the board!

Google
The ice cream sandwiches here are delicious. One of us ordered the lychee and fudge brownie, and the other ordered the banana rocky road and hojicha. It's just that the boss is only one person, so the speed is a bit slow, but overall it's delicious!!!🤤

Google
Stopped by the other night and got one of their ice cream sandwiches, we got mint cookie and ube ice cream in the Mexican concha bun, and definitely did not forget to get the marshmallow fluff, it was delicious, I really liked the bun and also the marshmallow. Service was excellent they were very nice. Only issue is the price unfortunately for $17 each sandwich I don’t see myself coming back here often but it’s definitely a great place for a treat! Good thing is tho one sandwich is definitely enough for two people

Google
This is officially my favorite ice cream spot in SF! I got the hojicha ice cream with torched marshmallow. The hojicha ice cream isn’t too sweet, and the fluff makes it just right:) Definitely get something with the fluff! you can even choose how toasted you want it. I went for a medium torch, and it seriously takes the dessert to another level. Oh, and they don’t do samples, but I’m pretty sure you’ll love it anyway. Also, there’s no indoor seating, just an outdoor plaza area, which can get a bit chilly sometimes.

Google
Sorry, that's all that was left before I stopped eating long enough to take a pic after the first bite. Delicious! These places need to be everywhere! The bun was delicious, dont forget the fluff, and trust the recommendations from the staff. Great take on the ice cream sandwich. 1 order is good enough for two people, although I must admit i refused to share. Update: The next day went for round two! Had to make sure it was as good as yesterday. It was better! Snagged a few photos this time. I can't do it every day, but when a treat is in order, I'll be back!

Google
Great tasting ice cream! They have a cool concept of ice cream sandwiches where the ice cream is sandwiched between a donut. Unfortunately when I went they only offered ube pandesal as the sandwich option. I went ahead and got that with birthday cake ice cream and black raspberry chip. You can pick up to two flavors for the sandwich. I thought both were good but I especially liked the black raspberry chip. We also got a scoop of banana and lemon custard (not pictured). The banana was good however it tasted a bit artificial like a laffy taffy. The lemon custard was delicious and reminded us of a lemon pound cake. We went on a Saturday evening and parking was full on the street so we had to park around the corner. There was only one person managing the cash register and making the orders so there was a bit of a wait. There were about 3 couples ahead of us and it took maybe close to 15min before we got to place our order. I would like to come back and try their ice cream in a glazed donut.

Google
They have very limited business hours. When I got there, it was a line already. I got the Ube sandwich with Ube and Thai tea ice creams. Umm……. Yo be honest, it is interesting experience and worth to be tried out. but I would not come back for another try as well.

Google
The Honey Teddy Graham ice cream is delicious! I highly recommend it! The cake batter one is also delicious! The guy who waited on us was super nice! This is my go to ice cream spot in the city! Can’t wait to try the other flavors😋

Yelp
This is a family-owned spot that's 100% worth supporting. The family that runs it is always super friendly and welcoming, and will probably start to remember you if you come a few times. Every flavor I've tried has been great, but the best thing is the donut ice cream sandwich. It's incredibly well done, with the perfect donut-to-ice-cream ratio, and probably works with just about any flavors. Easily a 10/10 dessert. The location is really just a small window to order from, with a few benches nearby if you want to hang out for a bit. The hours are limited, which makes it a bit tough to plan around, the location isn't the easiest, and there's a good chance they'll be out of the flavor you were excited for, but it's all worth it for a spot this good!!

Yelp
We stopped by for a sweet treat on a saturday maybe 10 minutes after they opened at 5pm, but there was already a long line with at least 8 people in front of us. I was a little skeptical at first with their long line, no samples, and slightly more expensive prices, but definitely think this spot is worth the wait if you have the time. FOOD My boyfriend and i both ordered the milkbomb sandwich with ube pan de sal. They allow two flavors for the milkbomb, so I ordered mine with cookies n cream and butter brickle (vanilla + toffee) topped with the additional torched fluff. My bf had manila mango, creamy horchata, and fruity pebbles on top. The pan de sal icecream sandwich is a super unique and delicious idea that lives up to the hype. We liked that the ube pan de sal wasn't too sweet and didn't overwhelm us with sugar too. Next time I would share it with someone else since it comes with two halves, and two flavors if you're in between flavors with someone. The price seems steep, but its a really big portion size, so one is really enough. Also make sure you get a lot of napkins and eat it right away, because it gets messy. I think next time I may just get a scoop of the butter brickle, the flavor for all the heath and toffee lovers. SERVICE I am super indecisive when ordering, so when the first thing i saw on yelp was no samples I was a little disappointed. Although there weren't any samples, the staff was super nice and helped me decide between two flavors with a little description and recommendations. The wait was around 30 minutes, but there's a few signs in the window warning customers that its a one/two man business in the back. The space is pretty small and making the milkbomb is probably not as easy as scooping, so the wait is understandable. Ohh the service was also very thorough asking exactly how toasted I wanted the fluff to be. We loved how friendly the staff was too, making my man giggle, twas truly the cherry on top. top advice: 1. get there early 2. be patient 3. and share

Yelp
This small ice cream storefront can be a bit hard to miss when you first drive by, but definitely do stop by for some "bomb" ice cream sandwiches! I came in wanting an ice cream sandwich but was met with a dilemma of not knowing which ice cream flavors to choose from. There were ample of flavor options but I ultimately decided on ube ice cream with ube pandesal! Despite the ube on ube combo, I loved the pairing given that I could taste the ube flavor well without it being too overwhelming. It was also not overbearingly sweet and would satisfy your sweet tooth cravings in a good way. Although this ice cream sandwich is on the pricier side ($15), I would come back if I'm in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat.

Yelp
Milkbomb is one of the best ice creams in the bay in terms of flavor options, taste, and innovation. This was our second visit to this ice cream store and we not disappointed.

Yelp
The owner is warm and friendly - great ice cream - got the ice cream sandwich with ube + mango ice cream sandwiched between an ube pan de sal. Perfect mix of sweetness + cold from the ice cream with the warmth of a heated ube pan de sal. They offer different bread options like a concha or brioche with their many flavors of ice cream (traditional and asian inspired). If the line is long, it can be sometimes a 30min or more wait. Recommend coming early.

Yelp
When I say scrumptious, I mean it! Good wholesome, loving vibes, and a decent wait time for such an intricate experience. Great flavors, great toppings. I wanted to hug them after I finished my milkbomb sandwich :*

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for their ice cream sandwich and it did not disappoint! We ordered two ice cream sandwiches with their ube pandesal. The ice cream we tried was their hojicha, thai tea, banana rocky road, and butter brickle. The banana rocky road was my favorite since you can really taste the banana flavor. I loved the marshmallow toasted fluff as a topping on the sandwich, it adds a lil sweetness and texture to the sandwich. Service was nice and friendly, I'd definitely would come back again! There are a few chairs outside to enjoy your ice cream in the area.

Yelp
My incredible daughter brought me here to show off a place that she has been a customer rep for a long time in San Francisco, but was unique in what they serve. Not only is the ice cream made there in this very tiny space and prepared with loving hands, but it served in a special way. They take donuts and cut them in half and put the ice cream in them if you would really like to have it that way, or you can remain traditional and have it in a cup or cone. I took the Mexican Conche sweet bread or doughnut with my ice cream laid in and they let me choose two flavors. Everything I tried was rich and creamy and the guy worked on the window was very cheerful and inviting and helpful. There's always a little bit of a line there, but it's totally worth the wait. This is totally a home launched business with the family working all the details of all the places they've opened. If you would like to try something unique and a way of ice cream with wonderful flavors of the month go down and check out and see what they offer.

Yelp
Came here near closing and the line still has quite a few parties in it. It's tucked in the back of a little courtyard with a couple of tables outside, and since it was so late, it was pretty quiet. The service is a little slow because they make all their sandwiches fresh, which I understand. It was only a 5 minute wait for our ice cream sandwiches to come out, though. My friend and I split an ice cream sandwich with Biscoff Cookie Butter ice cream and Vietnamese Coffee ice cream in a Concha. Both flavors were delicious, but I especially liked the Vietnamese Coffee flavor because the coffee came through nice and strong. I loved the concha as the "bread;" even though it was ranked very low on their sweetness of breads list, it still has powdered sugar to make it sweet. Though it was thin, it still had some fluffiness to it and insulated the coldness of the ice cream well. Overall, a cute place to try with lots of cool varieties of ice cream flavors, toppings, and bases -- would come back again!

Yelp
Ended up in this ice cream shop with some friends a Saturday night around 30 minutes before the shop closed. It was my first time in the spot and I wasn't familiar with the concept. Despite being close to the closing time, it was a little busy (~6 people in line), but the line moved very fast! The menu was hard to find/look at in the line since they change the ice cream flavors constantly so they only had the single laminated menu in front of the cash register. However, because the shop is a stand in an apartment complex, I understand conceptually why it makes sense to put it there. Perhaps it would be convenient to have a QR code with the rotating menu alongside the physical document, but have the QR code placed at a different window and larger so customers can look at it while doing the line. I ordered a concha half Vietnamese coffee and half biscoff ice cream. It was good, super creamy, and not too sweet. I think if you want to try a unique version of an ice cream sandwich, this is a good place to visit. Keep in mind the sandwich is huge (they cut it in half so it's easy to share)!

Yelp
Had the mango sorbet and lychee last week and I can't stop thinking about it. The mango was so refreshing and the little mango bits are a nice surprise. And then the lychee was so creamy and for a second I thought I was lounging on the beach in Hawaii instead of eating ice cream on a 50 degree, cold and windy night in San Francisco. Mike always treats everyone like his family and don't let the line fool you! It's worth the wait!
google avatar

Jen D.

Yelp
The good news: you'll be getting the creamiest, richest ice cream in SF. No small feat in an ice cream town. The bad: it's just one guy and lots of people know about this place, so the line is looooooong. Budget 45 minutes to get your ice cream.
google avatar

Shanna K.

Yelp
We are so late to the party on Milkbomb but we finally made it over here recently. Boyfriend had their black raspberry chip and chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce on top, stuffed inside a Mexican style pastry (not technically a concha I don't think, but similar) and the pastry was warrrrrrrrrrmmmmm. I tried a bite even tho I was pretty full from dinner and ermagherd. I opted for a kids size lemon custard and it was delicious and just the right amount for me at the moment. Next time I have to go back with more of an appetite and try a couple flavors. Service was super nice and friendly. Parking was easy enough and just a short walk down half a block.
google avatar

Crystal H.

Yelp
Delectable ice cream on yummy slightly sweet bread, what more can I say! Came out to about $10, and I would like to say that's more than worth the cost for the flavor! If you're an ice cream lover, I would recommend this spot as there's a variety of flavors. Also ice cream on bread is underrated LOVE ITTT!
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
Came here late at night right before closing. Got a the birthday cake with one pan de sal. It was a great ice cream sandwich. The workers were super nice even when we were the last customers.
google avatar

Gerold G.

Yelp
dude!! so good! this is the final boss of ice cream sandwiches! the texture of that soft donut shell and the cold, really delicious, ice cream in the middle was so texturally satisfying. the guy was also super friendly. i can't wait to get back and try another!
google avatar

Yelp
Worth the try: any flavor you want! Tip: this place is tucked inside a complex so it's a bit hidden from the main road Bonus tip: no samples but they have a great sign explaining why. I completely respect their decision on this! Bonus bonus tip: if you can't decide on 1 flavor, they do split scoops (2 flavors for a single scoop cup size). Earl Gray Lavender: best earl gray lavender ice cream I've EVER had, and I've had a loooooot. You can tell the flavor is real - you can actually taste the tea and there's no syrupy lavender flavor that a lot of other places have. It's also not artificially colored purple, which tells a lot. PARKING: Lots of street parking available nearby. SERVICE: They have the funniest staff that cracked us up and made the experience that much better. They also have a first timer discount, such a pleasant surprise! ATMOSPHERE: Small stand hidden in a building complex, has a pop up vibe. Only outdoor seating. I was craving ice cream and found this place on Yelp. I'm surprised I haven't heard about this place since it's only a couple blocks from my apartment. My partner and I dropped by 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and the line wasn't too long, but there were still a good amount of people. They don't allow for samples, but their sign as for reasons why is so hilarious that I'm not even mad about it. We ended up getting the Banana Rocky Road and Lavender Earl Gray and both were AMAZING. It's dangerous how close I live to this place because now I want to go back every day to eventually try the whole menu!

Yelp
5 Stars - A Sweet Staple in SF! Milkbomb has been a favorite of ours since the very beginning, and we're so happy to see it still going strong! The ice cream is absolutely delightful--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The fluff adds that perfect extra touch that makes every bite memorable. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the owner. Even though he's clearly juggling a lot as a one-man show, he always takes the time to greet each customer with genuine warmth and friendliness. It's that kind of personal touch that keeps us coming back. Every time we visit San Francisco from Sacramento, we make it a point to stop by. Milkbomb isn't just an ice cream shop--it's a tradition for us now. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jenny P.

Yelp
This hole in the wall spot is perfect whatever you're craving ice cream or dessert! Just a warning that it is a one-man show and everything is made to order so be prepared for a longer wait time especially when there's multiple people in line. Every single time I've been here there is always a longer line but that's a good sign. We got a scoop of ice cream and a selection of flavors include majority Asian inspired flavors but as well as the classics. We didn't get to try the sandwich, but that will be on my list for the next time!
google avatar

Yelp
I have lived in the area and somehow never gone to Milkbomb. What a mistake! It is frustrating how good this is and how friendly the service is. They had playful banter with my 6 year old, made her a wonderful sprinkle topped cone. I told them to surprise me in my ice cream sandwich order, only requesting that one has marshmallow. So good! I ate the entire thing in a minute. Great contrast of hot and cold, smooth and crunchy. I'll be back!
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
First time here and this place is the bomb indeed! I got the sandwich with a scoop of butter bricker(?) and brownie fudge. The bun part of the sandwich is warm and so good!! The only part that was not ideal is the warm toasty bun melts the ice cream super quickly, so I couldn't fully enjoy my ice cream but rather slurp it up as soon as I can before it all melted. (Probs less than 5 mins) But the service is fantastic and I don't think I've ever appreciated the person who handed me the ice cream more than the ice cream before today!!!
google avatar

Joshua Z.

Yelp
Fantastic flavors, great selection. My favorite ice cream place in the Bay Area. There are a good dozen flavors I love, and my friends all have their own (often different) favorites. This is a family-owned and run business, and I'm excited to see them do well.
google avatar

Yelp
The ice cream is amazing! Price is a little bit on the high side but it's so good! Also, the owner is so nice and welcoming and will have a genuine conversation with you.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written a review for Milkbomb Ice Cream yet considering I've been addicted to them for about a year (my rewards speak for themselves!). I follow them on Instagram to figure out when they're open and what buns they have each day; yes, it's that kind of addiction. After some initial experimentation, I now always get almost the same thing when it's available: I love indulging in a great Milkbomb sandwich (2 flavors of ice cream artfully placed in a bun with optional toppings on top, cut in two halves), which I usually split with my husband. You do need to eat the sandwich quickly before it melts! -- Bun: My favorite bun is definitely the sweet ube pandesal and I try to time my visits for when they have it, although the concha isn't too bad either. -- Ice cream flavors: The banana rocky road is not something I would ever think to order anywhere else, but my friend recommended it to me, and it is the bomb! The other flavors I've tried pale in comparison to me, but I often choose butter brickle or cookies n cream as a second flavor; they just don't taste as strong after I've had the half of the sandwich with banana in it. -- Toppings: I've only tried the toasted fluff, but now I can't live without it. I recommend either a medium toast though because sometimes the heavy toast makes the ice cream melt too quickly. Lines can be pretty long weekends after dinner time, but I often come in the afternoon while walking my dog and don't have as much of an issue. They don't do samples unfortunately (but probably for the best given the long lines), so you'll need to come back multiple times to perfect your order. Milkbomb has a few tables there, but there's no covering for when it rains.

Yelp
I loved this hot & cold combo of sweet goodness. I can't wait for more. Sweet brioche donut, and ice cream! The owners were super nice & sweet. They gave me great tips as it was my first time, and surprised me with a first time discount. Take out only, but there are some patio seatings in this area. Street parking is available too.

Yelp
On Saturday afternoon, we were looking for a pre-dinner snack. We chose ice cream and decided to try something new. We found Milkbomb Ice Cream through Yelp and decided to go based on the cool photos. They open at 3pm, and we arrived at 3:30pm to a line of people standing in the rain. Everyone in line was patient which is a good sign that the ice cream is worth it. One of the guys in front of us filled up 2 large postmates bags, and that is what held up the long line. When we reached the front, the owner was super nice and patient with our indecision and helped us to choose the best combinations for each of us. I ordered the Mint chip and Vietnamese iced coffee encased in brioche topped with dulce de leche and toasted fluff. He asked me which level of toastiness did I prefer, and I told him to surprise me. What a great answer because it was super delicious! We can't wait to go again! It's worth it even when standing in the cold, pouring rain!
google avatar

Shanna L.

Yelp
This is a fantastic unique ice cream spot! During our first visit we were warmly welcomed by the owner. It is a small spot that is just for ordering and picking up but there is outdoor seating next to it for a place to enjoy the ice cream! We weren't sure of what to order but we just picked our favorites and even with a combination that didn't sound like it would go together, it was delicious! I highly recommended picking your favorite flavors to see what creation you can make! We picked the sandwich which was a warm but cold dessert, so good. It can take some time to make and receive your order because it is a small space so just a heads up! We will definitely be coming back to try new flavors.
google avatar

Christy L.

Yelp
The service was amazing!! It was my family's first time trying Milkbomb and the staff was super welcoming and gave us a rundown of each part of their menu. The flavors are very unique (ie. hojicha, earl grey lavender, dulce de leche, horchata, etc). Their Asian inspired flavors are done very well, each flavor has their own distinct note! Seating is very limited, more grab and go style
google avatar

Dominic B.

Yelp
Came by for a quick ice cream scoop. Arrived around opening as the operations is small and wait times can build up. While small, the business is mighty and delivers a very unique product - the Milkbomb Sandwich. As mentioned, only opted for a single scoop. Very unique flavors, many with Asian influence. Opted for something truly unique - ube s'mores. First bite and the s'more flavor really kicked in. Well balanced, sweet, but not too sweet. Ube came in next to round out the flavor. Service is friendly and authentic. You can tell a lot of work goes into making each product.

Yelp
I scream, you scream, we all scream because my ice cream was on fire. And it was awesome. Milkbomb is an appropriate name for this place and I'm not even sure why. You aren't going to find a more unique dessert experience. We are talking customized ice cream sandwiches between donuts, ube buns, topped with a bunch of drizzles and toppings and even a flaming marshmallow. If you think you are a special person then you deserve this incredibly special treat. Don't let me ruin this with words. Hurry up and go wait in line and Milkbomb yourself to death. (4.7 Stars)
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
This place hella bomb. I got the ube and Thai tea sandwich with crushed Oreos. Tucked in a very lowkey spot but Mike was awesome. I wish they would sell half sandwiches for $5 since one is $10 cause they're packed.
google avatar

Lizey N.

Yelp
Service was soo good!! The guys were super friendly and funny!! Had a great vibe going and high energy. Line wasn't too long on a Friday night and went by quick. You order at the window and they make your ice cream right on the spot. There's some seating tables in front of the door where you can sit outside. The ice cream was so delicious, the fluff was extra fluffy, and the ube pandesal was soft, warm, and delish.
google avatar

Shanna C.

Yelp
This was one of my "must eat" places during my visit to the area. We came on a Saturday night, and even though it was rainy and cold there was still a line which speaks volumes. I love the Asian-inspired flavors and its unique take on the traditional ice cream sandwich. Because it was my first time here, I opted for the sandwich w ube pandesal. For the sandwich you get two flavors, which I really appreciated because all the flavors sounded delicious. The owner was so kind and was able to help is decide which flavors to get. My husband loves ube so we got the ube s'mores, which also happened to be the weekly flavor. We ended up pairing it with the Milo flavor. It was fantastic! The pandesal was the perfect texture paired with the ice cream. I loved the deep purple color of the pandesal. I think next time I would stick with just the ice cream because the sandwich can be a little bit heavy (but too much dessert is never a bad thing, right?) We will definitely be stopping by again the next time we're in the area. I can't wait to see what the weekly flavor is!
google avatar

Anvita S.

Yelp
No wait on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm, and easy to get street parking near the park next door. Loved our creation with the toffee brittle ice cream and fruity pebbles (aside from the banana rocky road which was a little too banana-y for my liking). Would definitely come back again to try more flavors!
google avatar

Alicia L.

Yelp
Ugh the BEST ice cream in San Francisco. I've been here several times the past few years and every flavor I've tried have always been SO good. The flavors can fluctuate but you'll have plenty of options to choose from. The worker is always so nice and friendly too. It's tucked behind Philz with a booth and there are a few courtyard seats or you can walk to the park nearby as well. We got the ube cookie butter + white rabbit candy, and calamansi + lychee rose (with actual lychee bits!) and loved all of them.

Yelp
Milkbomb Ice Cream has always been in my SF bookmarks and I finally got the chance to try it! My boyfriend and I were in the area to visit Anchor Brewery's last week of service. So, after we went to the brewery, we walked down and around the corner to Milkbomb. When we walked to Milkbomb, it was like probably 30 mins after opening and there was already a formed line! When we got to line, there was probably about 10 people in front of us. The line moved a bit slower, but understandable because it's a small shop with only one cashier and one person assembling the ice cream. I ordered a milkbomb sando with ube pan de sal and torched marshmallow fluff (forgot which ice cream flavor because I'm writing the review now, as I visited the shop a few months ago). I loved my milkbomb sando! I was afraid it would be too sweet since I ordered a sando with the mashmallow fluff, but it was the right amount of sweetness! The pan de sal was light in flavor and was not sweet at all. It was the perfect balance! If I am in the area, I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Best ice cream sandwich I've ever had! The warmth and softness of the pandesal had the perfect ice cream to bread ratio and slightly melted the ice cream to a consistency that I really enjoyed! We went two days in a row after our first experience and so far the butter brickle and the torched fluff were our faves! The staff and owner were super friendly and appreciate their customers.

Yelp
Definitely fixes a sweet tooth. Welcoming workers. Located in a cute small area with small seating.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and the wait was ridiculously long. My bf and I waited about 45 minutes just to get two ice cream sandwiches. Basically there is only one guy taking care of everything-taking orders, making the ice cream, and handling payments. I got the half mango lassi and half banana rocky road on concha. The concha was very plain. The mango lassi ice cream was so good and unique. I wish I got full amount of mango lassi. I definitely would not wait 45 minutes to get these ice cream sandwiches again. I wish they could hire another worker or come up with a more efficient process. I had to knock down a star for slow service.

Yelp
Such a great hidden gem in Potero Hill. Definitely recommend going on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty quiet and the staff were helpful in helping us decide the best flavors!

Yelp
Great flavors of unique ice cream. The best birthday cake ice cream. Friendly owners!

Yelp
I used to love coming to this dessert spot and it's still really good and offers. Lots of flavor options. My favorite is the ube cookies and cream and the Thai tea. The last time I was there, they said that they replaced the donuts for a new bread. I find it. The bread is pretty dry and doesn't complement the ice cream as well as the doughnuts. Please bring them back!!

Yelp
I've lived in San Francisco for about 5 years. Not trying this place sooner is a massive regret. My friend came earlier and didn't love the ice cream with the bread, so he wasn't excited to come back. But we were in the area anyways, and I've never had it. When he had the ice cream alone... he regretted his words. We came here three times in one weekend, and we do not eat ice cream or dessert like that. It's that good. I drive here from San Bruno or sunset district, it's worth the traffic and drive. The employees are amazing. The lines may be long, but WORTH IT-they're long for a reason. I had to go back today for their pints. Will probably be back tomorrow....

Yelp
I gave this place another try since we were in the area and wanted to get ice cream with our niece and nephew. The strawberry cheesecake was a bit muted, but I thought my husband's calamansi in a cup was alright. I'm don't usually like super sweet desserts. I usually go for 50%-75% sweetness at boba shops, for example, but this time I probably should've ordered something sweeter like cookies and cream.

Yelp
Pretty unique concept overall from what I've previously seen at other ice cream shops! They serve ice cream in a warm bun, which comes in multiple flavors. I chose the brioche bun with Vanilla and Coffee and it was very tasty! Definitely worth the visit and love that they say "see you next time" right after they serve you your ice cream. Will stop by again when in the area!

Yelp
Ordered the ice cream pie and a few pints for 96 bucks via home delivery. No confirmation or comms for delivery and no one reached out to let me know what was happening. We gave them 3 weeks before emailing them. Got ghosted, so here we are.

Yelp
the lovely family that run Milkbomb are the sweetest and you should stop by simply because of that. but also, how cool are these ice cream sandwiches??? you can get two super inspired and unique flavors of ice cream in a delicious lil carb-y shell. it's remarkable. it's heaven. get it. also if you ever have a chance to get their white rabbit candy flavor, GET IT. possibly the best ice cream I have ever eaten. I would not get the marshmallow fluff again because it starts melting the ice cream faster, BTW. but worth a try (it's really delicious just makes the ice cream harder to eat!!!) cannot wait to return hehe

Yelp
This was so good! We got the banana and PB oreo in the ube bread. The two ice cream flavors were surprisingly so yunmy - the pb oreo was our absolute favorite. The sandwich itself was good witht the ubre bread. Definitely want to return to purchase a pint of the ice cream. Just be aware that there is only one person that works at a time so can take a while before getting served - but it is worth it!!

Yelp
I'll start off by saying yes, this does taste just as good as it looks. I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It was super eye catching and looked like a very unique take on ice cream. Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. Overall, absolutely love this place and would highly suggest to any ice cream enjoyer.
