"Our preferred way to eat Milkbomb’s Asian-leaning ice cream flavors is via the Potrero Hill shop’s signature Milkbomb Sandwich. In it, a scoop or two of ice cream is flattened and packed between a halved donut. Then, everything takes a quick trip inside a griddle before being sliced open and topped with ingredients like torched marshmallow fluff, cereal, and chocolate sauce. Somehow, the result is a warm, soft bun, and magically firm ice cream. Scoop flavors rotate, but if the thai tea and avocado are on the menu, get them. (For buns, we like the glazed donut best.) Hours can change last-minute, so check Milkbomb’s Instagram before planning a visit." - Patrick Wong
