This place was incredible! Some of the best vegan breakfast we’ve had. In such a cute part of Pasadena too. Went here on two different occasions and the menus were expansive, for both vegan and non vegan options. the service was impeccable, everyone was so friendly and helpful, the coffee never got too low before a top off, and sitting outside was so comfortable. I will never miss up an opportunity to eat here anytime I’m back in Los Angeles or Pasadena.

Check in online before you head out. The wait is real. They were prompt with service and kept the food and drinking coming. I got the usual combo and my gluten free waffles were doughy even tho they were brown. The food was good so I'd be back again to try something else. I also had the spirulina latte hot and it was tasty

One of the best restaurants ever. My family has been Millie's fan since 1960s and the youbger generations keep going!!! Perfect for a Breakfast/Lunch date. Food looks amazing, tastes great and the atmosphere is genuinely calming. You basically enjoy everything!

Milie’s Cafe has so many options, from vegan to regular and gluten-free! I ordered the Devil’s Mess and it was packed with bold, delicious flavors. My hubby got The Usual with gluten-free pancakes and they were 🔥. We also loved their fresh, homemade orange juice, and the Blue Majik latte was a refreshing and tasty surprise. Highly recommend for a flavorful and inclusive brunch spot!

Everything hit the spot. The club sandwich was solid — toasted just right, bacon crispy, and the fries were golden and crunchy. Nothing fancy, just done right. The chilaquiles with carne asada were fire. Chips had a good bite, meat was tender, and the beans and sour cream tied it all together. Super flavorful. The chicken and waffles were on point too — crispy chicken with fluffy waffles, topped with fresh fruit and powdered sugar. Syrup brought it all together — sweet and savory combo nailed. The eggs benedict? Perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and thick bacon on a toasted muffin. The potatoes on the side were seasoned well and cooked just right. And those lattes? Super smooth, each with its own vibe — matcha, pistachio, lavender, and a regular one. They looked good and tasted even better. Overall, this place didn’t miss. I would come to San Bernardino just to eat here. I’m from the bay and I miss this place already. Pricey but worth it.

Wow, the Heavenly Hash was game changing. The herbs they used for this, the texture and consistency, the ratio of meat to potatoes - everything in this dish was awesome! Keep up the great flavors, wonderful service, and innovative take on breakfast! This was awesome and will love to try it again soon!

Stopped by on a Tuesday, around 12:30 p.m. and there was no wait. Service was prompt and friendly. I tried the iced coffee, black, and I really enjoyed it. I had the BLT sandwich with fries and it was delicious (pictured). My friend had the fried chicken strips with fries and she liked them.

After an early morning meeting, we headed over to meet another friend at this spot. Though I had already eaten, I couldn’t resist sampling something from their menu. I opted for a lighter choice—the açaí bowl—which turned out to be absolutely perfect: fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. My friends went for heartier options, including chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and corned beef hash—all of which looked equally delicious. While the space isn’t small, it filled up quickly with eager diners—a clear sign of its popularity. If you're in the area, this place is an absolute must-try.

Yelp
Solid 10 breakfast spot Service is good and attentive Outdoor seating is perfect for eating with your pup The menu is simple but has many options Excellent tasting food I got blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash It was all so great! I especially enjoyed the rosemary and the fresh blueberry compote on the pancakes. Bacon cooked to perfection! Crispy and thick The overall vibe of the place is very comforting and feels good to see people out eating and enjoying Pasadena and Altadena!

Yelp
not bad, got the chilaquiles benedict and it was good but needed a lil salt. the portions were generous! got a plain latte and didn't like it. in terms of coffee, id spend my money elsewhere parking was aite - there is a lot in the back that gets busy but a lot of ppl come in and out so its not impossible to nab a spot. overall a good brunch place tho!

Yelp
Millie's Cafe is a local breakfast spot with locations in Pasadena and Silverlake. This location in Pasadena has parking in the rear. We stopped by on a Monday morning with a party of six and were seated immediately. There were already a good amount of people eating right after opening. I ordered the famous breakfast burrito ($18) which had everything that I liked and none of the filler stuff I didn't like. It had eggs, avocado, tater tots, cheese, and my choice of meat. The tater tots were crispy and there were good portions of the meat. I liked drenching the salsa on top of the burrito; it was really satisfying and hit the spot after a good workout. I also ordered the iced coffee which was standard. I was also told that their chilaquiles were really good so I'll have to try those next time. They also have a huge vegetarian and vegan menu which rivals their other menu in the number of offerings.

Yelp
had the chilaquiles Benedict and it was really good--not too spicy and a nice portion. The restaurant has a great vibe inside, even though it was crowded. The staff moved quickly and handled everything smoothly, so there were no delays. I really appreciated that the check came at just the right time, exactly when I was about to ask for it. Paying was super easy too, since they take care of card payments right at the table. Overall, delicious food with excellent, professional service!

Yelp
Never under 5 stars from us at Millie's. Well worth the drive, wait of there is one and believe me they treat you like family. Love Millie's! Super clean and delicious food. Come check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
New favorite brunch spot!! We came in on a Tuesday morning and got seated right away. We ordered the Famous Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Waffles Egg Benedict, Lemon Ricotta Pancake, and Strawberry Banana Nutella French Toast. The star of the show was the Chicken & Waffles Egg Benedict, which we give a 5/5. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the chicken was crispy and not too dry, and the waffle was soft and fluffy. The side of rosemary potatoes paired perfectly with the egg benedict. I added a drizzle of maple syrup on top of the chicken and waffles and that was the cherry on top. My second favorite item was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. They were light, fluffy, and moist, with just the perfect amount of lemon flavor. I didn't feel it needed any additional glaze as the maple syrup was just enough. I loved how unique the flavor of these pancakes were and would definitely order again. The breakfast burrito was really satisfying. I felt it tasted a little plain, so I wish they had more sauce choices. I was least impressed with the French Toast -- the bread was kind of doughy and it lacked the vanilla and cinnamon flavors of a French toast that I like. Not the worst French toast, I just wouldn't order it again. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this spot to others. I'm usually picky with brunch spots as I feel a lot of brunch foods can taste the same, but Millie's was very memorable! The service was great, friendly, and very attentive. I'm looking forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.

Yelp
Driving back from Palm Springs and was looking for a solid breakfast spot, stumbled upon Millie's and it did not disappoint! Joined the wait list while driving there and waited no more than 5 minutes before sitting down. Ordered a three stack of pancakes, the plate of chilaquiles, and the croissant sandwich! Everything was phenomenal but the best plate was the chilaquiles! They have a great system and make sure everything is clean quickly and thoroughly, we didn't wait long for our food. Amazing experience and will definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
Loved that there was a vegan menu. Got the V- SPANISH OMELET with fruit and potatoes as sides. Normally it's choose fruit OR potatoes, and comes with toast, but I modified and asked for no toast. Meal was yummy. Also ordered a blueberry matcha latte and it was pretty bad and cost $10. They wouldn't give a refund on the drink but they added more blueberry syrup and it still tasted weird but also too sweet.

Yelp
I stopped by Millie's Cafe in Pasadena just an hour before closing and was surprised that I was seated right away. Usually there would be a long wait on Saturday but I got lucky that day. I tried the California Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Chimichurri sandwich. Both were really good! The eggs benedict had perfectly cooked eggs with a tasty hollandaise sauce and a nice avocado touch. The Chicken Chimichurri sandwich was juicy with a flavorful, a little bit of spicy sauce that made it stand out. The service was great too -- the staff was friendly and quick without being pushy. Overall, it was a solid experience, and I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
I can't believe I didn't hear of Millie's sooner. I grabbed brunch with my friends here and the entire experience couldn't have been better. It was packed with a 20 minute queue to be seated but once seated service was incredibly fast, starting from order through bill. I tried a buckwheat pancake and got the vegan BLT with sweet potato fries. The buckwheat pancake was amazing: light and not sweet at all. I'd never tried bacon tempeh but I'm a fan now. The sandwich spread was the perfect flavor combo to the tempeh/lettuce/tomato. With the fries as the perfect complement, the meal totally hit the spot. Staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked the cafe location and vibe as well. Prices were very fair for the portions served. And, it was amazing to have a separate vegan menu with enough options that it made choosing hard. I'll def be a regular here and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Yelp
service is always amazing here and thank u millie's for always staying open during holidays :') i love that millie's has a separate vegan menu - i tried the vegan chicken sandwich for the first time today and loved it. my dad got the california benedict, which he really liked. the inside is always quite busy/noisy so it's great for families.

Yelp
I was visiting from out of town and Millie's was within walking distance from where I was staying. I looked up the menu before I went, which I highly recommend because their menu is extensive! The lemon ricotta pancakes caught my eye, and they were the star of my breakfast plate. I ordered the Usual Breakfast, which in itself was good meal, with the chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. Very large meal for me, but I ate most of it. The food was good enough that I'd go back... maybe even get those pancakes again! Even midweek, they were busy. Service was nothing spectacular, but it was efficient. It was very noisy indoors, so the outdoor seating on the street was good enough for me. It felt a little like being in a Parisian street café. If you're not big on close company with your neighbors though, I'd sit indoors. In all, not a bad experience from an out-of-towner.

Yelp
They changed the espresso beans or something. Did not enjoy my latte today, it tasted burnt, very unpleasant. And the hostess doesn't seem happy as well, probably due to too many customers waiting to be seated. Everyone else was nice except her. I still enjoy their banana walnut pancake a lot. My husband ordered a hamburger, it was okay not great. My son ordered breakfast burritos and he said the tortillas were a bit chewy. Our overall experience wasn't as good as it used to be. Feels different.

Yelp
Had a great midweek brunch here. The service was super quick and on point. We even loved their shirts haha! Go there to check them out. We ordered the Blue Majik Lattes which were picture perfect AND tasty! Then we ordered an egg dish and the bagel and lox dish. We ate everything: it was fresh filling. My only comment is that I would have liked the cream cheese to be on the side fresh, instead of from a packet. The seating was plain and clean. We were seated outside due to the inside being full, but luckily it was shady. And the restrooms were clean as well. Great little brunch overall.

Yelp
Service here was honestly the highlight -- super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. That being said, the food itself was just okay for me. I'd rate it about a 7 out of 10. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out as amazing either. Inside, the space feels pretty tight. The tables are very small and set close together, which makes it a little cramped if you're trying to relax or have a more comfortable meal. I think if you sit outside it's probably a much better experience, because indoors definitely feels a bit crowded. Even with those things, I wouldn't write this place off. The good service counts for a lot, and I'd be willing to come back and try it again -- maybe on the patio to see if the atmosphere feels different. Overall, not bad, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to food and comfort.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid BLTA, solid Acai bowl, crispy fries. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Cool design and vibe, as the kids say. Friendly enough server. Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
One of my faves in Pasadena!!! Every time I go here, I have good food and good service. There's something for everyone on the menu. Of course there are all the basic faves like eggs and pancakes. But there are some special unique dishes as well. Breakfast burritos are top notch as are the scrambles. And I never come without getting the matcha. Beware the weekends are almost impossible to get a table and parking can be a bit of a hassle. Definitely worth it, especially on a nice day sitting outside.

Yelp
Came here for a mid-week brunch date. There is a parking lot next to Lavender and Honey (coffee shop) where you can park. When we went, it wasn't an issue and found a spot right away, but if it an issue there is plenty of street parking if you don't mind walking a bit. We were seated right away. The day was nice so we opted to sit outside. They have giant red umbrellas that provide plenty of shade. It's not too loud despite it being on a main street. I honestly just really enjoyed being outside and watching all the people pass by. I wouldn't mind bringing a book and having a solo breakfast. They have plenty of breakfast/lunch options. They also have a whole separate menu for vegan options. Everything looked so good and prices were ok. We went for the chilaquiles benedict and we added gravy and biscuits with an over easy egg on top. I also ordered a pistachio latte. The chilaquiles were really tasty, I like the smokiness of the sauce they used. Portion was plentiful. The eggs benedict on top were perfect. I can definitely see why this is a favorite and I would definitely recommend. The biscuit and gravy was also really flavorful and creamy. The egg on top also gave it that extra umph for flavor and velvety texture. The rosemary in it really made it feel home-y and nostalgic. It tasted like Thanksgiving dinner. The latte was already really smooth. I asked for it half sweet and still found it to be sweet. It was also a good sized cup and I appreciated the little pieces of pistachio in it. Overall, everything was delicious. It was my first time here and I would return to order the same things again AND to also explore new things from the menu. Service was great as well. I loved it.

Yelp
Had a great brunch with friends here! I really enjoyed the chilaquiles Benedict and the breakfast burrito. Pistachio latte was a little bitter for me but overall great meal!

Yelp
Food was great. I got the avocado toast, my kids got pancakes , sausage and eggs Benedict. The service was good, no complaints. But it was so busy, we got a very small table for a party of 3, We sat inside, but the place is not spacious so I understand. But is like your eating with different people right next to you.
google avatar

Yelp
I had to write a review so that I would remember exactly what I ordered since it was the perfect combo. We came on a Monday and there was no wait... win! My perfect breakfast here: - date and cardamom latte - Maynard's special with the house potato's and a substitute of the ricotta pancake instead of biscuit/ toast (add $2.50) It was perfect... little bit of healthy and a little bit of sweet. The lemon ricotta pancake was soft and fluffy and you could see the lemon zest in the batter. Delicious! Ambience is casual and friendly. We usually find street parking pretty easily. The hubby likes their breakfast burritos. Love it!
google avatar

Francisco M.

Yelp
This cafe is usually pretty busy so take that into account. There's options for indoor and outdoor seating. The service has always been great and fast. The atmosphere is quite energetic but you can still have conversations with others. I got the blueberry French toast combo this time. Overall no complaints. The breakfast potatoes are always a delight. The beacon has the right amount of chrispiness and saltiness. The portions are enough to get full or take home leftovers. The only downside is probably the parking being limited. But there's other locations you can still go if the lot is full.

Yelp
I've been going to Millie's infrequently for the past 3 years or so and now I've been finally able to branch out and try some different items off their menu. This was my first time trying the slutty bun and I consider myself extremely picky when it comes to breakfast food as it's probably my least favorite meal of the day. I'll start off by saying this was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The savory soft scrambled eggs were perfectly accompanied by the sweetness from the caramelized onions. The dish was just very well put together and every favor shined through at some point in every bite 8.5/10. Unfortunately I didn't get to try "the usual" however my friends said it was very good as well. The service is great everyone is so sweet the only problem is that if you don't have a reservation on the weekends you may end up waiting. I would love to come back here again soon!!
google avatar

Cleo M.

Yelp
We ordered the breakfast burrito and the "vegan" breakfast combo. Our food was delicious, but I think our server may have mistaken my order. I wasn't sure if my sausage was vegan or not, and I ended up eating a real one accidentally...mind I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years, and I'm still weighing heavy about this situation. We came the next day to reorder it again, and the sausage was completely different than our first time. If you're dining here please reiterate vegan option, and make sure your food is correct. I always hesitate to eat at restaurants that serve regular and vegan food, but the reviews here were quite positive for the most part. There's plenty of seating outside and inside. I would suggest booking a reservation to ensure you are seated right away.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Very large menu. Pancakes were delicious. Huge vegan menu 2 pages. The tortillas are made fresh. Service was excellent.

Yelp
I tried this place about a week ago and I can't help but think about the food I ate here and how dissatisfied I was. I was really excited to try this place out, it had been on my To Try list for so long! The service was amazing and couldn't have been happier. I got the eggs Benedict and was a little grossed out. I don't know whether it was the hollandaise sauce or the REALLY stale English muffin but it just didn't sit right with me. The potatoes were good, average, nothing out of this world. Maybe I just picked a not so good item on the menu but was highly disappointed.

Yelp
Food was great per usual! Love coming here and service is also always great despite it being so busy. Love my experience here

Yelp
Was searching for a yummy, pleasant brunch spot in the mid-afternoon on MLK Day and found Millie's. It absolutely delivered!!! We arrived late in the 1pm hour and were sat immediately. The inside was still bustling, the outside tables were starting to be put away. Our waitress was very kind and attentive! We ordered the chilaquiles benedict, which was the main thing that caught my eye when I initially looked this place up--I loooove an eggs benedict, and my partner is gluten free. This gluten free creation was fantastic!! I would come back just for this dish. He added mixed veggies to it, which I initially thought might be weird but was soon corrected. The hollandaise and salsa verde come together in a unique and tasty way. I got the corned beef benedict, add avocado--was hoping for a crab cake benedict but was informed they recently took it off the menu. That very quickly stopped mattering, though, because the corned beef benedict was BOMB. Perfect yolk pop, crispy corned beef, creamy avocado and delicious potatoes. The only thing I would've wanted was a tiny bit more hollandaise, but I could also just be a fiend. We also tried a gluten free chocolate chip pancake, which was good. Nothing special, nothing bad. Pretty decent. Likely wouldn't get it again. For drinks, we got a lavender matcha lemonade (super bomb, delicious matcha and not too floral!) and a decaf cappuccino (a little disappointing, kind of bitter and sour.) All in all, quite a pleasant dining experience. They even have their own parking lot. I'd absolutely come back again for that chilaquiles benedict, but if the line were too long (as I know it can get) I might look elsewhere.

Yelp
Had a really positive experience at Millie's this morning. I love that you can join the waitlist on Yelp, which makes it convenient to check in and know how long the wait is. Additionally, there is plenty of seating and the customer service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menu. I ended up ordering a pistachio Matcha latte and it was so delicious will be back for the drink alone . I also tried the chilaquiles omelette very unique, but I really loved it too. Chilaquiles were flavorful and crispy. There were so many people, but we were astonished at how quick our food came out and how good it was definitely coming back here to try different menu items . Quick service, fair prices, and extensive menu. Would recommend :)

Yelp
Great food! Have had breakfast here a few times. Hearty portions are served. When in the area, this is a go with to. Enjoyed the two egg breakfast, rosemary potatoes with bacon and homemade biscuit. Husband had the chicken chimichurri sandwich which he said was delicious and flavorful.

Yelp
I was very happy with everything while I was there with my family. We didn't wait long and they did offer us to sit outside but we were inside the restaurant and it was nice and clean. The food was really good, didn't have to wait for our waitress to take our order and didn't have to wait long either.

Yelp
If you're looking for Millie's, it's that corner spot with outdoor seating and every table is occupied. And for good reason. I've passed by this place hundreds of times, but never bothered going in, regretfully. Decided to finally to pull the trigger for some late breakfast and it was absolutely worth it. Millie's closes down after lunch and doesn't open for dinner. But, the menu is huge, the servings are plentiful, and you'll probably have to skip dinner after your meal. It'll take a while to pick something if you're a first timer for sure. The beverage menu is just as large. Some things will sound familiar, but others will make you want to ask the waitstaff for some advice. I was hungry and settled on the following: - Devil's Mess - 8/10: Eggs scrambled in with Cajun turkey sausage and topped with some pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. Comes with your choice of toast and potatoes. I really liked this dish. I'd describe it as a Mexican omelette with a little bit of Cajun flavor. My only complaint is that I wished they had crisped up the hash browns a little more. Tasted a tad undercooked. - Belgian waffle - 8/10: Thick, spongy and delicious, as a good Belgian waffle should be. - Golden Matcha Latte - 8/10: a nice blend of turmeric, ginger and 2 percent. Nice and foamy, with flavors that weren't too overpowering. This is a solidly crafted beverage that goes down quite easily. Bill was pricey as expected, but you're really paying for quality food. And don't let the line fool you; there's a lot of room inside and outside, so you won't be waiting too long. This, along with great food, a large menu, and helpful waitstaff will make me come back again for sure.

Yelp
Are you sure this place shouldn't be called Silly's Cafe??? Well.. Let me explain.. This is probably one of the only decent vegan spots left in town. I usually order the Angels Mess for takeout. But what TRULY earns this rating is their TERRIBLE MESS of service. I came on a weekday and they were filled with open tables. Yet, my server completely disappeared after I was seated. Guess when I saw him again! You betcha! When the bill arrived. Otherwise, you are left fighting for the cleanup crew or anyone you see to help you when you need something. Their motto should be "We don't care that you come. We care that you pay". As someone else mentioned, I too will now be eating in Burbank or Studio City where the food is EXCEPTIONAL, and where they take pride in running a CAFE! Dining-in is a joke. Silly at best. They should just close shop and do to-go orders only, change management, OR run a gas station! Their staff would be PERFECT there. Even Sears could teach them how to run a better business. And Sears is OUT of business! Oops! Furthermore, this is TRULY disgraceful and disrespectful to SO MANY local residents who come back to support neighborhood businesses after the fires. SHAME on Silly's-Cafe! Oops!

Yelp
Bomb food, mid drinks. Service was friendly and fast. No wait in the morning on a weekday. Was easy to find free street parking across the block. - Green Eye $7.50: Espresso, 2% Milk & Matcha. - SO didn't quite like. - Blueberry Oat Matcha Latte $8.50: Blueberry puree, blue spirulina, organic matcha and oat milk. - cool looking drink, but lacked in flavor - Chilaquiles Benedict $19.50 Barbacoa style beef, over a stack of ranchero sauced tortillas and melted cheese. Topped with two poached medium eggs, green chili salsa,... - bomb diggety and large portion. Would get again. - Chicken Chimichurri Sandwich $16.99 Grilled chicken breast with panela cheese, arugula, pickled onions, chimichurri sauce, and mayo; all on ciabatta bread. Sweet Potato Fries were bomb. I would get this again.

Yelp
Breakfast in Pasadena, California... Dining with Yelp friends is always fun! The environment, service, and food makes a get together so much more fun! Somehow, we ended up at Millie's Cafe which had a free parking lot around the building! We went early to avoid the crowd and get a table large enough for our group! Service was cheerful and efficient! We didn't feel rushed, even though a bunch of people were waiting to be seated. We hurried through our meal and exchanged gifts amongst ourselves! I had the "Better Than Mom's Oatmeal" because I wanted to eat healthy after having so many meals with different friends! My bowl was colorful, delicious, filling, and perfect! I'd return again! The names of menu items were amusing and clever! Note: We sure appreciated the convenient restroom! Driving in Los Angeles takes a while because of the distance and traffic!

Yelp
My friend and I came here today, and while the food was good, the service fell a little flat. We put our names on the waitlist from Yelp, and when we got there, we're already being called to seat, which was nice. However, after we did, many servers passed us and didn't acknowledge us. Yelp
Vegan food was delicious. And there are so many options! Great service and lovely people. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Yelp
Millie's is the most perfect post-hike, weekend cafe I've ever been to! I absolutely adored eating here with my girlfriends and highly recommend stopping by for your next brunch date! For starters, their extensive drink menu was just wonderful! There were so many fun and different kinds of teas and lattes, surely to meet any taste you might have! I got a lavender latte which was perfectly balanced between floral and espresso, couldn't have asked for more. I ordered the Devil's Mess, which is a three egg scramble normally featuring cajun-spiced turkey sausage (I subbed with chorizo) and white cheddar cheese. For toppings, the plate comes with fresh salsa, guacamole & sour cream. The flavors were just so on point and complimented each other so well! All of us girlies enjoyed our meals and I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Millie's functions like a well oil machine. I put my name on the waitlist, drive there, and arrive to just a 5 or less minute wait before I'm seated. Their staff is awesome. They have a big staff who all contribute to your dining experience. They are very attentive and always deliver service with a great attitude. It's the only spot in our local area that offers an optional vegan menu. The food is delicious and their serving size leaves you feeling like you got your money's worth. I fkn love Millie's.

Yelp
Such a great brunch spot in Pasadena! We ordered the chilaquiles and country fried steak both were hearty, flavorful, and hit the spot. The chilaquiles had the perfect kick and texture, and the country fried steak was super crispy and comforting. The place has a cozy, casual vibe with friendly service that made us feel right at home. It does get busy, so expect a bit of a wait, but totally worth it. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
What's better than a Sunday morning hike? Of course, a post-hike brunch! Apparently, all of Pasadena agrees because the line to just about every brunch spot in town was 45-60 minutes long at 10am on a Sunday, including at Millie's Cafe. I really appreciated that they use Yelp's check-in system, since it makes it easy to check our ETA and walk around other shops while waiting for our turn. The service is friendly even when they're extremely busy. Do note that they don't serve hash browns on weekends, which I found to be an interesting choice - maybe it's just because I'm a hash brown lover, but I found their house potatoes to be pretty underwhelming in comparison. The chocolate chip pancakes, however, really hit the spot, and the portion was more than fair even ordering just a "short" stack rather than a full order. My friend ordered the Chicken and Waffle benedict, and said that while the Chicken and Waffles were delicious, the flavor combo with the hollandaise sauce was a little too overwhelming. They'd rather just order Chicken and Waffles...or a benedict, rather than the two combined. All in all, would definitely come back - but maybe on a weekday!

Yelp
Food and drinks were fine, but the host staff made my party feel unwelcome and rushed. I fully understand that this is a busy restaurant and respect the policy of seating only once the entire party has arrived. That wasn't an issue. We weren't allowed to wait comfortably inside for our last guest, were asked to move multiple times while others weren't (while trying to stay dry under the awning because it was lightly raining), and then were told to leave shortly after finishing our food by the same host staff because they needed our table. We were not lingering for long, we just wanted to finish our drinks. Servers were excellent, but the overall experience was soured by the lack of professionalism and warmth at the host stand.

Yelp
My friends and I were seated by the kind hostess after waiting for a couple minutes. We sat outside and immediately had our waiter introduce themselves. I love a good breakfast burrito and had to try the supreme breakfast burrito with bacon. This burrito is a solid 3/5 stars. It's a bit greasy for my taste and wish there was more of a cheese pull. There is a good balance of each ingredient but there was something missing to make it the perfect breakfast burrito--I just can't figure out what it is. The lemon ricotta pancakes however were the winner of this breakfast! Perfect balance of lemony goodness. I would come back just for their pancakes and maybe try their French toast or waffle!
