Best Lebanese Restaurants in London: Where to Eat Lebanese Food | Eater London

"This tiny Walthamstow (Wood Street) offspring of Holborn’s Hiba Express specialises in Palestinian and Lebanese food. Fill up on generous portions of moutabal baba ghanoush (creamy charcoal-grilled aubergines) and sambousek bi-jebni (deep-fried pastries filled with feta cheese.) Fancy going the whole hog? Feast on ‘Today’s Platter’: four mezzes bursting with houmous, moutabal, tabbouleh, falafels and mixed grill. Be sure to save a little room for mouhallabieh, a light milky pudding, and their signature dessert. Hiba’s namesake is a “lovely surprise” and it delivers just that. If venturing central to the Holborn branch, catch a glimpse of the restaurant’s matriarch, the head chef loving referred to as “Queen.”" - Salma Haidrani

The Best Hummus in London | Eater London

"The furnishings are unmistakablely Palestinian, but the menu admits to being both Lebanese and Palestinian. The hummus is not exactly velvety, but it isn’t meant to be. A nod to the Jerusalem tradition of hand grinding hummus, it is textural, zingy and flavorsome, and is set off wonderfully by fruity, pithy olive oil. Chilli sauce and garlicky toum come with every order, and adding some of each can pack an even further punch for diners wanting to get playful. The group’s other central branch, Hiba Street, offers a smoother style made with more tahini, and Hiba Taboun, their latest branch opened recently in Walthamstow, offers a different recipe still to go with its array of oven-baked breads." - Joel Hart

Fantastic restaurant with authentic Palestinian cuisine and a beautiful atmosphere that celebrates rich culture and heritage. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming—it truly feels like a home away from home. A must-visit if you’re in the area. Let’s support local businesses that stand strong in the face of pressure!

“A Culinary Journey to Palestine” Experiencing authentic Palestinian food is nothing short of a cultural journey. The flavors are rich and flavorful, with every bite bursting with tradition. The use of spices like sumac and za’atar creates an aromatic profile that lingers pleasantly on the palate. Dishes like musakhan deliver a savory and satisfying taste, while the fluffy and light pita bread perfectly complements creamy hummus and tangy yogurt dips. must try Hummus & chicken wrap Lentine soup was just delicious. Lovely little hidden spot Beautiful lady welcome us warmly and served with care and affection Palestinian cuisine celebrates its heritage through food, and every dish feels like a story told on a plate. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a true cultural experience!

Really wonderful meal here. The food is incredible, every dish is a delight; but the team are also truly wonderful. The chef has a clear passion for what he does, and went out of his way to recommend dishes, and send over some freebies! Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had, and would recommend it to everyone - for lunch or dinner!

This is by far the best food I have ever had in my entire life. I can not express in words how amazing the food and flavours are, not only healthy food but truly authentic and unique comparing to any other restaurant I have been to. You must be there to experience it!! The atmosphere was great, I felt like home in a different culture to mine and I appreciate the hospitality me and my friend have been welcomed. Any detail from the cucumber water to entres, main course and desert was a delight and will come back whenever I have the chance to. Special thanks to the chef for teaching us and showing us how traditional falafel is made!

Google
First time visiting little Hiba today and what a lovely experience! Cosy little restaurant/cafe with just a few tables but lovely and welcoming. The food here was tasty and fresh. Service was warm and friendly and so happy so support my Palestinian brothers and sisters. Would definitely return. FYI parking restrictions in place in the surrounding roads so make sure you read the signs.

Yelp
Looks very good. Just had a special falafel dish. Me and the mrs both loved it. Going to come back again to check out the rest. Customer service is very good.

Yelp
Got the moutabal and the fatayer with grilled halloumi cheese for takeaway last week. The former is on point: the chargrilled aubergine taste is strong and the flavour of the sesame seed paste is deliciously strong. The pomegranate arils offer a great sweet offset. Seriously addictive and a good portion size. The latter order is four pita triangles stuffed with slivered halloumi; almost like delicate sandwiches. It comes with a pickled radish (?) which tastes just as delicious. Hiba has a good amount of veg options otherwise but obviously even more so for meat-eaters. Fairly priced for the food I got - a garlic and a spicy pepper sauce are added for free. This would be my go-to place if I lived nearby.

Yelp
I ordered online for delivery. 50 minutes after ordering I was notified by text that my order was cancelled. A minute after receiving this text, I was called up by the restaurant saying the order shouldn't have come through as they weren't accepting anymore delivery orders and closed their online ordering system just before and it was the online ordering companies issue. I thought this was strange as I had an email confirmation that they had accepted my order. Knowing they wouldn't complete my order a just hung up in frustration. I then contacted the online ordering company to see if they could confirm what the restaurant had said. They had proof that the restaurant accepted my order and then cancelled it. They also confirmed that the restaurant never sent in a request to be taken offline for any more delivery orders. Therefore, the restaurant lied to get out of a delivery, likely because my order wasn't one of the largest and I assume a busy Saturday Night.

Yelp
This food is quite authentic lebanese food and the portions are quite big. The fattoush easily can be for 2 people. The chili potato (batata harra) is tasty and the hummus and mixed grill was great. Tabbouleh needed some lemon but theres a wedge included, I presume to avoid making a mess of the rest of the box. Will definitely be re-ordering from here.
