The 22 Best Restaurants In The Hudson Valley - Hudson Valley - The Infatuation

"If we lived in Saugerties, the people working at Miss Lucy’s would probably know our first names, our dogs’ middle names, and the fact that we’re not ashamed of dipping our fries in mayo. The homey dining room is full of mismatched farm chairs that will give you inspiration for your Upstate antiquing adventures, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the comfort food-leaning American menu, which has things like a kale caesar and steak frites." - anne cruz, clare lagomarsino, keith hernandez, chanize thorpe

Miss Lucy's Kitchen - Review - Saugerties - Hudson Valley - The Infatuation

"There’s plenty of small-town charm at Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties. The dining room is full of mismatched farm chairs, and they have a huge chalkboard overlooking the bar that lists out their draft list and desserts. The American menu mostly consists of unfussy comfort foods like turkey pot pie and freshly made pappardelle, which act as homey antidotes to the type of crummy day that has you rage-texting paragraphs to your best friend. You can easily come here for a date or a casual weeknight catch-up over drinks and oysters. Especially because all the cocktails are great—we like the bright green Mezcalita Verde with caramelized pineapple and serrano peppers. And the friendly staff will make you want to become a regular. They'll probably swing by your table and chat with you about what farms the restaurant sources their produce from or give you their unofficial Upstate Leaf Report. Food Rundown Fried Chicken The breading on this southern-style fried chicken cracks when you bite into it. Yes, crispy shrapnel will fly everywhere, and you can always expect the meat to be solidly juicy. The plate also comes with an excellent tender cheddar biscuit and some grilled vegetables that have the perfect amount of snappiness and chew. Tacos For $14, you can get two perfect little street tacos for an appetizer or a filling snack. The protein rotates daily, but we really like their rich nuggets of pork belly paired with the lightly charred tortillas and thinly sliced pickles." - Anne Cruz

The Best Vietnamese Restaurants in NYC | Eater NY

"This neighborhood spot in Bushwick pays special attention to vegetarian versions of Vietnamese dishes, and the pho comes with a choice of beef or meatless broths. Another quirk is that smoked brisket is put in the beef pho, blurring the line between barbecue and Viet cuisine. Banh mi are also offered on a very short menu, obviating the need for difficult choices. The place shone in Eater’s pho tour of the city. It has a Williamsburg branch, too." - Bao Ong

The food was good. The service was average. The atmosphere was good but too dark. I wish I was hungry enough to try their desserts. We will probably come again just to try the desserts. We will return. Solid dinner solution in Saugerties.

Miss Lucy’s has the perfect cozy/intimate atmosphere, the staff is attentive, and the food is delicious! We were famished, so I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of our first courses, but we decided to share some of their small plates because they all sounded too good to pass up: calamari, fried Brussel sprouts, kale Caesar, and brisket tacos. The food was out in the blink of an eye, and everything was cooked to perfection. We didn’t really save room, but we had to try their apple crumble and it was worth it! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu!

Google
A nice restaurant for a nice dinner. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. The pasta was so creamy and tasty although it had an excessive amount of sausage in it. The cake was very delicious and not too sweet. The service was okay, the place was a little busy and waitresses seemed tired. One problem is the smell of cooking coming from the kitchen. it gets stuck to your clothes after leaving the place.

Google
Went here expecting a casual mediocre diner food but we were quite blown away by the quality of it. Firstly, the fries were the perfect thickness; not too thin or thick, and super crispy. The pork sandwich and brisket were superb. The crispy brisket was very smoky and had a strong intense flavour which went well with how crispy and a little fatty it was and the burger meet was super smoky and flavourful. Although could have more saucez Service was a bit slow at times but highly highly reccommend this place for a meaningful meal.

Had lunch at Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties and really enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with a rustic touch that made it feel special. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We had the brisket sandwich and burger. We also tried a pink cocktail and ended with their pistachio dessert, which was beautifully presented. While the food was just okay for me (taking one star off for that), the vibe and service were easily 5 stars. It's definitely worth a visit for the ambiance and hospitality!

Google
Nice cozy little restaurant for brunch, lunch, or dinner. You can get excellent salads, sandwiches and entrees here. If traveling through New York state we often stop in Saugerties and this a go to place to eat at. I have never had a meal here that I did not enjoy. Weekends can be busy.

We’ve come here several times with our family if 4 both during warmer months and during winter as well. The food is so good each and every time and service is always warm and welcoming.

After a day of kayaking on the Hudson River four of us went to Miss Lucy’s Kitchen for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend so we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. We walked around Saugerties until our table was ready. It’s a small restaurant that’s been there for a long time. While Saugerties continues to change, Miss Lucy’s continues to stay the same serving delicious food with a nice atmosphere. While looking at the menu two of us had Blood Orange Margaritas and the other two had Spicy Passion Fruit Margaritas, with an order of P.E.I. Mussels; white wine, shallots, fennel, pernod, mint, splash of cream & crostini ($18). For dinner two of us had the House Smoked BBQ Ribs; three cheese mac & cheese and coleslaw ($26), my wife had the Bell & Evans Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($25) and our other friend had the Fresh Pappardelle Pasta; Meiller's sausage, tomato, cream, fennel & red pepper flakes ($26). Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. The menu has two prices for everything; one for cash and the other for credit card. It’s a 4% credit card fee. I personally don’t like restaurants doing that. Credit cards are just the price of doing business. If you are in Saugerties, Miss Lucy’s is a place you need to eat.

Yelp
Grabbed Saturday brunch with another couple last weekend. Had heard good things about this place but never stopped even though we are only 8 miles away. Located in the Main Street/Partition Street corridor, there is a cool downtown vibe. Street parking and a Public Lot nearby make for easy access. I got the Egs Benny and it was served with amazing potatoes and a light and tasty salad. Eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Waitress was attentive and accommodating. I also ordered a Bloody Mary and a local craft beer because I could. The Bloody was decent, not mind blowing but still tasty. Oh and I ordered a dozen oysters while I was at it. They were of the small variety but tender, clean and amazing. Prices were reasonable to the area. Definitely will be back. No photos this time, sorry.

Yelp
A little crowded (holiday weekend), a little loud, locally sourced farm to table, great food and excellent service--Miss Lucy's came up in someone else's review when they mentioned it's better than Blackbarn. I tried both places and they were 100% correct. You can order anything and be happy but you HAVE to try their cobbler or bread pudding, so check out their dessert board. Also, reservations are highly recommended--I think I saw them have to turn people away during their dinner rush. Cheers!

Yelp
Went here for brunch recently, and found it to be very cozy inside. The ambience was lively and joyful. I had an omelette with home fries and a salad. They were out of home fries, so substituted french fries. The service was OK. I found the staff a little bit unfriendly, even though I was sitting right at the bar in front of them. They were much more friendly with people that they seemed to know. Overall, this is a great place to grab a drink or brunch. The food and the vibe are good.

Yelp
Overall, the atmosphere was nice. It was fairly busy for a weeknight when we went, but not so crowded that it felt overwhelming. I always believe the first interaction sets the tone for the night, and unfortunately our initial greeting felt a bit rushed or annoyed, even though we let them know we had an RSVP. That said, the server who took our order was wonderful and really helped turn the experience around. Really enjoyed the appetizers.

Yelp
Went for a date dinner. The ambience is perfect. The lighting is low, the noise is great for conversations that won't be over heard. Our dinners were fantastic. The calamari was fresh. Our server was kind and attentive.

Yelp
There are a bunch of places to dine in Saugerties and on Partition Street. Luckily, we made reservations ahead of time. The place was packed and we watched walk-ins get turned away. Granted, it was a Saturday night (6pm) on Labor Day Weekend, but we know the real reason; Miss Lucy's has great food. The place is a bit loud, so we concentrated on the Menu/Scene/Food. They started us off with a FREE Bread Basket; a unicorn these days. Split a Kale Caesar to start. Definitely not my go-to, but the Pickled Onions, Dressing and Sourdough Croutons added punch to the dish. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was excellent. Juicy and moist, and not at all greasy. Pork Schnitzel was a big portion, pounded thin and full of flavor. The dessert menu was large, and a bit of a challenge to choose just one. We decided on the Sweet Corn & Blueberry Bread Pudding topped with Currant Swirl Ice Cream & Pistachio Streusel Topping. This was excellent ! I need to go back to Miss Lucy's...like 5 more times. One thing I noticed was that the whole staff; Bartenders, Wait Staff, etc were all women. A very good thing to see !

Yelp
Great food, service and ambiance. Food was delicious and reasonably priced ! My salmon Benedict was great and it came with said salad/ good dressing and fantastic home fries with whole baby potatoes- amazing! Would def return if in the area. Only negative is that when the dining room is full, which it was today, it was very loud acoustically . As people left, the sound was better. Nice menu for brunch.

Yelp
We nabbed a Friday night reservation here while in town for the weekend. It is located right in the little "downtown" area where a bunch of other restaurants are. Dimly lit establishments with a very moody vibe - perfect for a date night. What we ordered: - Mocktail (not sure what was in it, but I asked for a sweet/tangy drink, and they delivered on that) - Fried Brussels Sprouts (maple gastrique & smoked shallot aioli) - very tasty! We are currently on a Brussels sprouts kick and this one was nicely done - P.E.I. Mussels (white wine, grainy mustard, cream, scallions, shallots & crostini) - literally the star of the night, I would come back just for this. That sauce is so tasty, luckily I saved some of the complimentary bread to dip in it because the crostinis were a little too toasted and hard for our taste - Kale Caesar (sourdough croutons, & pickled red onion) - we added chicken, it was tasty and different with the pickled red onions - Bell & Evans Buttermilk Fried Chicken (house made cheddar biscuit, brussels sprouts & hot honey) - this one was disappointing. The chicken was fried well, crispy and light but it was so bland. It does come with hot honey and that did help but it was just not good taste-wise. The cheddar biscuit was ok - I was thinking it would be more seasoned as well like the iconic cheddar bay biscuits but it was not The waitstaff were great. I asked for some ice to go as we were in an Airbnb and they packaged some up in a zip lock bag for me. I would recommend this place if you're in the area and definitely order the mussels!

Darlene F.

Yelp
This is a restaurant that I have always loved since I moved to Saugerties. But tonight was the most disappointing New Year's Eve dinner I have ever had. Chicken liver appetizer was served with white bread that had been grilled part of it burnt part of it not not something you would serve with chicken liver pate. Two of us had gray short ribs, dry lumpy polenta I'm just in the state of shock.... Definitely an off night

Yelp
Super cute small town restaurant with cool vibe and cocktails. I went with my boyfriend for his birthday and the appetizers, entrees and dessert were all delicious. We ordered a salad, mussels, burrata, chicken rice bowl and the dubai chocolate ice box cake. The waitress is very kind and attentive as well.

Yelp
Another restaurant that's been in the area for awhile but that I have never managed to try - until now. It was...good. Good fried calamari - a little salty. Good burger. Good fries. Kale caesar was serviceable - could have lived without the pickled onions, but my husband liked them. Service was friendly and efficient. Too many fans and vents - we had to switch tables to avoid drafts. I'm not sure this is a destination spot, but will do for a decent meal.

Yelp
3.5 stars We grabbed a quick dinner here with visiting the little town. Ordered the Forbidden Bowl with salmon and the regular salmon dish. They were delicious and the portions were hefty. No drinks - no apps. With tip, it came to $82, which we found a bit steep for the area and the overall taste (though good, as I said.) The bread was indeed very good, but they charge for the second bowl! (We didn't get a second bowl). Also, the service was just okay. The waitresses didn't smile, spoke pretty low and didn't come back to check on us at all. The ambiance was cozy, but the lights were very low, almost making it hard to read the menu.
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
My happy place. Seasonal dishes, locally sourced. An ever changing menu. Weekend brunch is divine - especially the smashed fingerling potatoes. Exceptional Benedict sauce. Rotation of soups are superb. The calamari is light and almost always perfectly cooked. It's missed once or twice - but when it's on, chef's kiss. Always pushing for really wonderful food.

Yelp
Amazing food and service and atmosphere! A place to see and be seen! Lots of fun! Prices not too bad either!

Yelp
My wife and I came on a Thursday afternoon. The eating area is quaint and simple. The exposed brick gives it a great vibe. I can only imagine this place on a busy weekend. The service was spectacular. There was only 1 waitress and she was moving so fast. There were about 5-6 tables and she served all of us well. She came 2-3 times to ask how our food was and also refilled our water multiple times. The food was delicious. I was surprised with the portions. I wasn't expecting to have such a big sandwich and a generous portion for the sides. The fried brussel sprouts were delicious. The chicken sandwich I had was not oily and the sauce tied in the sandwich well. I'm not a fan of the peppers but I think that's a personal opinion. All in all this is the spot to eat when you visit Saugerties.

Yelp
Such great food! Any time we're in the area we stop in but I recommend a reservation.

Yelp
Alright, so I thought this place was actually a 4 star, but I upgraded them because they upgraded me... we arrived at prime time on the night before The Garlic Festival, and they were packed. We had been calling them for a while to make a reservation but their line was constantly busy. Our friends asked for a table of 7 when they arrived before us. We waited 15 or 20 minutes and we're sat at a 6-top with an extra chair at one end. It was pretty tight, so when the folks at the great big table behind us were leaving, I asked for us to switch. As an ex-restaurateur, I would not want to give a potential 9 or 10 top to 7 people, but they did it for me because there were no reservations on it. It was much more comfortable. The food was very good. I liked the Brisket Tacos (tacos change day to day) and they make a nice tasting ice tea. My Ribs dish was pretty darn good too. My friends loved the Brussel Sprouts and the Scallops dish... I'm not crazy about dim lighting but I realize it's "a thing" so I won't hold that against them! The service was very good. It's no wonder they were so busy.

Yelp
Maybe I'm being super generous here but I do think Miss. Lucy's deserves 5 stars. Came here on a whim on my way up to Saratoga with my girls for my bachelorette and the pangs were coming in hard! Thankfully my MOH... my ladywoman had all the food figured out. So we stopped here. As per usual we split our lunch. We opted for the burrata and a roasted beet salad and we added in some pickled red onion with the salad. When I tell you both items were incredible... they are incredible! I know we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. My cousin wound up getting the Kale Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and my future sister-in-law opted for a Beet Salad. They also enjoyed their meals. When I return to Saugerties best believe I will be back here because it was damn tasty! Service was a little slow but I learned that us downstate folk are used to being on the go at a rapid pace. The whole vibe in the restaurant reminds me of an old bar and it was dark but not too dark. Just perfect. Loved the brick walls.

Yelp
Cute spot to eat in town. We got oysters ($30 for a dozen) as an appetizer which I don't usually get but according to my friends they were mid (5/10). They came with two sauces, a sweet and sour one and a vinaigrette one. The sauces were both very strong. The brisket sandwich ($15) was a hit. A lot of meat on wonderful ciabatta bread. The PLT ($15) was average. The pork was dry and not super flavorful. The fries were slightly above average. Crispy but not enough seasoning. Service was excellent. Overall I would definitely recommend the brisket sandwich. Brisket 8.06 / 10 Overall 6.78 / 10

Yelp
We were visiting Saugerties, New York for a girls weekend. Someone had recommended this place for brunch so we decided to step by Sunday morning. We were the first ones there and we were able to pick our table which was really nice. The downside was we had to wait nearly 40 min for our breakfast. There were only three of us in our party and when we got our food did arrive, two out of three meals was correct. Food presentation was great. I will say the sausage egg and cheese breakfast biscuit sandwich was delicious. I ordered the PLT upon a recommendation and I thought it was just OK. The place is nice. It's not too big. Has a nice little bar. Front table has a nice view. Staff was friendly.

Yelp
This cozy bar/restaurant nails it every time! Great service, cute ambiance, amazing food, and delicious cocktails! I love their oysters, house made bread and french onion soup! So good!!! Last night we also shared the fried chicken and short ribs with pureed parsnips! Everything was excellent! Can't wait for our next ski trip so we can stop here on the way! This place is amazing! I always intend to take pictures, but the food is too good and I just end up diving in. Next time!

Yelp
Food was excellent! The sauce in the macaroni & cheese was delicious, the soup was hearty and well balanced, the liver mousse was delightful you can build your perfect bite, the mussels were in a delicious sauce with a perfectly grilled bread and the chicken sandwich was tender and juicy with crispy fries fried to perfection. Unfortunately the apple crisp was not. The butter must have been exposed it tasted like it absorbed nearby flavors or maybe it was stale. The service was good, attentive and knowledgeable. The ambiance is quaint and unpretentious. I love all the seasonal options. If I lived nearby I would definitely try them again. Don't miss this small town gem!

Susan W.

Yelp
What a lovely evening, the food was EXCELLENT, we had the Salmon with some kind of magical green beans, mushrooms, and roasted small potatoes, perfect in every way- we also had a side of the baked macaroni and cheese, my husband couldn't stop- the service was top notch , can't wait to return with friends!

Yelp
Had a decent brunch here. French toast with berry compote was good. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich and salmon Benedict also decent. Lively place with good service. Nice place to start a morning pottering around the local stores.

Laurie M.

Yelp
Best Cobb Salad ever. The service was really good. They even serve bread with the salad and it is well worth eating. But so noisy that it took away some of the fine food joy .

Yelp
Funky little place with gorgeous, tasty food and nice people. I went years ago so cannot speak to current conditions.

Yelp
We came here for dinner on a Sunday night during our trip and the place was half full or half empty. We ordered the tacos as an appetizer, which were pork belly for the night. The tacos overall had good flavor and the pork was cooked right, but it was a little heavy on the sauce, which was probably a Thai chili. For dinner, the wife ordered the pan-seared scallops and I ordered the baby back ribs since the fried chicken was sold out for the night. The scallops tasted fresh and had a good flavor to them. The ribs were cooked right and falling off the bone and had good flavoring with the sauce. The service was good, and the place had a cool look. The prices are more city prices than small town prices, but what isn't expensive nowadays thanks to Brandon?

Yelp
I am sad to report that the recent return to Miss Lucy's fell short of prior visits by a wide margin. While the scollop risotto and the amberjack entrees could not have been better, the grilled peach and arugula salad was extremely disappointing and the staff response to us rude. The grilled peaches arrived ice cold and without any grill marks. Also they were unripe, mealy, and had an unpleasant taste. The arugula was fresh and nicely dressed. When we questioned the presentation and quality of the peach slices, our server firmly told us that they were as they should be and that we could have another salad if we like. We said wanted the arugula but could not believe anyone in the kitchen could think the peaches had a good taste and were properly prepared. Her manager came over and said she would talk to the chief. We heard later from the manager that the chef did not think the peaches were correctly prepared and they would be more selective of the fruit and grill them longer in the future. So we were very surprised to see the full charge for the salad on the bill and to hear from the server that "we ate the salad so we are charged for the salad" even though we could not eat the main feature of the salad due to mistakes the chef acknowledged. The conversation became unpleasant as the server refused to recognize our concern. We dropped the subject, paid the bill and left. The salad was a minor part of the meal but the handling of their quality problem and their willful disregard of our unhappiness overshadowed the excellent entrees and will cause us to not return to Miss Lucy's. It also spoiled the evening. We wish them well but hope they find better ways to treat their fans. .

Yelp
We came here for dinner because of the popularity in the area and the super strong ratings on Yelp but sadly the food didn't quite measure up for us (the service was so kind however). There are so many noteworthy, truly unique spots to dine at in the Hudson Valley and unfortunately this one didn't hit the mark for us. The meal was started by some slightly warm but otherwise quite hard / bland bread and really cold butter. The drinks didn't arrive until 30+ minutes into the meal - my partner's grape cocktail wasn't great/particularly high quality but my wine was solid. Next came the simple baked sprouts topped in spicy mayo. The main course arrived about 1.5 hours into dinner - scallops on risotto (quite salty with the risotto butter-loaded/heavy) and chicken pot pie (fine but the best part of the meal, the duck was sold out).

Yelp
Love this place so much! This just so perfect as a slice of small town America, but with yummy food that can appeal to all. This is great because: - The food is so well done and has amazing flavors (I had Onion Super and sampled Mac & Cheese - heart and lovely) - The prices - inflation hasn't hit this one (yet) - Simply stunning cocktails with fun names - Staff that is lovely, caring, and smiles.... This pretty much great for everything: - Friend groups - With parents (of all ages0 - WIth people who like to drink - With people that drink less - 1st Dates - 7th Dates This is however bad for: - Break ups (too memorable) - Small kids (a bit too dark) - People who like fancy meals over good taste

Yelp
Taste- and style-wise, Miss Lucy's was just what we were looking for in a restaurant for a nice lunch before heading back to NYC last Friday. My boyfriend had been craving steak, so I picked this place in part because steak frites were on the menu. He enjoyed it, and from the couple of bites I stole, I can attest it was delicious. I ordered a pork sandwich with a side salad that hit the spot. The waitress was nice, and Miss Lucy's has a good selection of tap beers, cocktails, etc., to choose from. The vibe inside is dark and chic, good for casual dining or dressing up a little for a date night. Wish I had more time in Saugerties, as the town looks super cute, but I am glad we were able to discover this place.

Erick S.

Yelp
We've eaten here multiple times over the years, it's always been a delight, they consistently innovate fresh culinary delights, and they curate a great drinks/beer/menu. Their service is wonderful and the ambiance is cozy but with ample space to enjoy your dining experience.

Yelp
After reading all the great reviews I had to try this place. This is one of those places that opens at 5pm. It was busy on Saturday evening 6pm. Hardly greeted when I came in. Dimly lit. Was Asked to sit at the bar. Bar tender was really busy so took a while for acknowledgment. Not the warmest. I ordered a drink, even asked what type of vodka they had and requested the titos, then never got my drink. I waited a while caz she seemed busy. Then it showed down and I thought maybe she forgot and she'll remember when she looks at me. Nope, never got it, had ordered my food at the same time since she asked. No conversation until after my food arrived and she asked if I was good after. I got the hanger steak which was good but cooked well done. I asked for medium well. The potatoes were delicious. I'd give this place another shot when it's not so busy.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Saugerties and this place for lunch today, and boy are we glad we did! The menu is small, but what's on it is really, really good. We were there on a Sunday, which meant there were brunch offerings in addition to the regular menu. One person got the egg and cheese sandwich, which came on a homemade biscuit. Excellent and fresh! Another person got the burger and said it was very good. I had a BLT -- which was excellent! The sandwiches came with fries, which were also very good -- not too oily, not too salty. Servers all super nice -- definitely recommend!

Yelp
Great spot for dinner right on the main drag. Was up here during the Garlic festival and the place was packed. We got some of the fried chicken, mussels and the rice bowl. All great food. Service was attentive and ambiance was nice. Prices on the high side, but the food quality is on point. I would recommend this place for anyone in the area or if you're visiting from nyc.

Yelp
So glad we came in here on our first night in town. Very nice atmosphere, and reasonably priced for some homemade meals. We loved the mussels with the bread and broth they're in!! You won't be disappointed if you like mussels. Pasta dish was delicious as well. Our waitress was very friendly and we had great service.

Yelp
Great food and drinks. I appreciated the thought put into the menu. Ambience was moody and almost-speakeasy (in a good way). I would go back!

Yelp
What a treasure in Saugerties! We just happened to stop by and had the most amazing lunch. The calamari and roasted beet salad was delicious. Service was perfect and the space had plenty of charm.

Miss Lucy's Kitchen is a definite must go place when visiting saugerties. Their farm to table menu is always phenomenal whenever I go, and does not disappoint. The service is always great, and the ambiance is always relaxed and enjoyable. It's a place you can come catch up with a friend and enjoy your time with a cocktail and delicious food. Always highly recommended.

Yelp
Been wanting to go to Miss Lucy's for years. This is the fancy place in the village of Saugerties, meaning that it's more like NYC pricing. Place is stereotypical upstate hipster with a touch of southern influence; think lots of wood and worn antiques. Service is uber friendly and efficient with the exception of the bar, which is a bit slow. Long story short, after a lot of hype over the years, the place lived up to it for the most part. Drinks were great although they took a bit to come. I got the #1 (fruity whiskey drink) and the #2 (mezcal fruity drink) which were both good. They had a mango smoothie sour beer on tap which my wife loved. It's kind of weird they list on the menu charging for bread after the first basket; it was decent but very crusty and rustic, so plowing through a basket of that and needing more would be impressive. We got the fried Brussels sprouts to start. These were superb, with a shallot aioli and some maple syrup. Fried Brussels sprouts with maple always works, and then a bit of the Mayo (sorry, aioli) drove it over the edge. I was originally going to get the branzino, however our waitress recommended the scallops special. I wish the scallops were a bit bigger, however you get 6 of them and they were cooked to a perfect sear. The risotto they came with was good, although the asparagus was a pretty meager portion. All together the scallops made the dish (hard to find good scallops), with the risotto filling you up and the asparagus contributing a little variance in flavor. My wife had the fried chicken which she devoured. Didn't do dessert which is regrettable. Would definitely like to add this to the rotation of restaurants if I can get out without the baby more often. Legitimately good and interesting food with solid drinks? Sign me up.

Yelp
Tried the fried chicken sandwich again since I knew it was good from my last time. However this time, the fried chicken was crispy, but lacking in flavor. I got the hot honey on the side again, and definitely has a kick. I was really craving a fried chicken sandwich, but I'm not sure I'd order this again. They also didn't have fries available since they said their fryer was being used for the chicken. A bit odd to run out of fries or not have enough fried? Unsure. I was really looking forward to some fries, but they had home fries to substitute. The home fries were a bit disappointing as well. Lacked flavor and they arrived cold.

Yelp
What a cute brunch spot in Saugerties! We actually stumbled upon this restaurant because a different spot told my party of 6 that we had an hour wait. Miss Lucy's wasn't open at the time, but luck was on our side - by the time we checked the time, Miss Lucy's was opening up for brunch in 5 minutes, so it was an easy decision to head over. My husband and I split the Brisket Sandwich and PLT. Both were really good, but we both liked the PLT better. The Brisket Sandwich was great but felt a little heavier overall than the PLT. The lattes were nice to pair with our brunch. The food was a bit slow, but the service was very friendly and welcoming. Great spot!

Yelp
I really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and broccoli cheddar soup, I ordered the fish and chips but substituted the fries for Mac n cheese, the Mac and cheese was watery and the fish lacked flavor. My bf had the brisket sandwich and said it lacked flavor, it was a huge portion and came with fries.. but flavor is more important to us than portion size. Customer service was great, there was no wait upon arrival despite it being busy and everything came out pretty quick. It was walkable from where we stayed, which was a plus. I'd return and try dinner next time.

Yelp
An excellent brunch spot, Lucy's filled up quickly after opening. My challah french toast was fluffy, though slightly dry, and the fruit compote was more exotic than expected. The wait staff was accommodating with some of our boozy cocktails and overall my family really enjoyed their dishes. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other plates.

Yelp
My GOD, days have passed and I'm still bowled over by Miss Lucy's. Came in around noon on Sunday for brunch, we were quickly seated. We loved the shabby chic ambiance with mismatched chairs. Service was good and attentive. The food and drinks were SO good, really exceeded expectations. The food took a bit to come out but it was actually nice to savor the experience and not feel rushed out. I had the brisket sandwich and it was 10/10. Beautiful crusty bread, hot brisket, frizzled onions - and a huge portion, what else can you say about that.

Yelp
This is the first sub-par meal I have ever had here and after years of stellar experiences this one is all the more disappointing. The onion soup was good, although not really hot, and featured croutons that remained rock hard to the very end. The fried chicken was greasy, not very hot and not at all crispy. It was barely cooked, but cooked. The accompanying Brussels sprouts were roasty tasting but mushy and not crispy at all. The biscuit was overcooked and dry. A sad dinner .
