"The NoMad Hotel Los Angeles, situated in Downtown, features four bars with cocktail programs by James Beard award-winning barman Leo Robitschek. The hotel is strategically located near other popular bars in the area, contributing to Downtown's reputation as a prime barhopping location. While some bars like the pool and roof bar will open in March, Robitschek has adapted his cocktail menu to suit local tastes, incorporating California's seasonal produce. The hotel includes the Giannini Bar, Mezzanine restaurant bar, and a Coffee Bar. The Giannini Bar features 'cocktail explosions' for groups, while the Mezzanine offers vintage cocktails. The Coffee Bar, inspired by European aperitivo bars, transitions from a coffee bar in the morning to an aperitivo bar in the evening. The cocktail menu includes drinks from Eleven Madison Park and NoMad New York, with local, seasonal ingredients being introduced over time. Prices range from $16 to $18 for cocktails and $10 for mocktails." - Caroline Pardilla

The hotel definitely has seen better days and is a little dated. Nevertheless, it's well maintained, clean and comfortable. Situated right smack in little Tokyo and within walking distance to a plethora of dining and shopping options.

Google
Positive: The location is so convenient. You can walk downstairs and find a number of eating spots within walking distance. The hotel room was very clean, and hotel staff was nice and accommodating. Negative: Parking in this part of LA is challenging. The self-parking for the hotel is the parking structure for Little Tokyo. Every time I went in and out of the structure, I had to pay $15.

Great amenities. Terrific karaoke bar inside. Nice area surroundings, rich with culture and many entertainment and food options that are all walkable. Good central location for anywhere you may be traveling in Los Angeles. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Los Angeles.

I was planning a staycation in the Little Tokyo and northern Arts District areas of Los Angeles and stayed here for the first time. It's a very well-located property that's minimalist but clean and well-maintained. There aren't many hotels in this area; probably the main one is the Doubletree by Hilton that's 2 blocks away. Miyako is adjacent to the block-long pedestrian-only Japanese Village Plaza, perhaps the epicentre of LIttle Tokyo, along with Weller Court a block away. The northern part of the Arts District, with its well-regarded restaurants, is about 3 blocks away. ||The Miyako is perhaps now best known as the hotel with the superstar LA Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani mural on the side. Look for a QR code located in several spots to see Shohei take a swing with his bat. Looking at the front of the hotel, one can easily see the higher-floor rooms are larger. All rooms have a mini-fridge, coffee maker and Japanese-style toilet. My room was clean and comfortable, facing north with views of City Hall, multiple ramen restaurants and the Japanese American National Museum. ||The hotel has a fitness centre and self-serve laundromat. There's a cute bakery/café on the ground level that serves Instagrammable sweet and savory treats. There's also a mini-market with microwaves, hot water and self-check-out. On the 2nd floor is a sit-down Japanese restaurant/sushi bar and a cocktail/karaoke lounge. The restaurant has a daily breakfast buffet for around $28 with Japanese and Western offerings.||Overall a great stay. I've previously stayed at the Hilton, which is of course the hotel of choice for Hilton Honors members. But it's larger and more generic, with little Japanese ambience, aside from their Kyoto Garden rooftop, a vestige of when the hotel was the New Otani with its Thousand Cranes restaurant that overlooked the garden. The Miyako definitely has a more Japanese vibe, plus a slightly better location.

Room was clean and quiet. I’ve stayed there twice to enjoy little Tokyo. One with the view of the mains street the other a parking lot. The rooms did feel cold and the ac/heat wasn’t working but I was mostly out so I didn’t care, the elevator worked and it wasn’t slow which is I was relieved. I hate small spaces. They do have a small cafe on the lobby and store you can buy snacks bit they are a little pricey.

Check-in was okay. No greeting from older Asian man that checked us in. He didn’t represent Japanese hotel at all. Normally Japanese always gives excellent service but not from this man, little disappointed. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Also I noticed, the Spanish workers only greeted me and my kids because we lock Asian but not my wife. She’s Asian but looks Spanish because she had her eyes done. They totally ignored her. Next time we will stay somewhere else.

This was my second time staying here and it was just as pleasant. The rooms were quiet. I saw a helicopter near by and didn't even hear it. I really like how modern the rooms are, the TV doesn't suck and a nice bathroom. Whole room was super clean all around. Only thing that brought it down from 5 was whoever tinted the window in my room was not good at it, huge wrinkles. Oh and the bakery in the lobby is a 5. I highly recommend this hotel, will definitely return.

Google
I've stayed at the Miyako three times, and plannng another visit. This hotel may be the cleanest hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Love the location in Japantown next to a group of sweet shops and great sushi restaurants! I love that it is less than a 5 minute taxi ride to Amtrak's Union Train Station. The staff are all very kind, professional and helpful. Highly recommended when in Los Angeles!

Yelp
I have stayed here a half dozen times or more and never knew they had a breakfast buffet. At check in they never say anything about it! There are no signs in the lobby about it! There is nothing mentioned about it in the in-room guide (accessible by QR code)! So I have been struggling dealing with the small bakery or the groceery store next door. No it's not free but I don't understand why they don't even mention it at check in. The elevator doesn't have a sign or ad for it, it's just listed in small print on the floor guide for floor 2. When I asked the front desk about it, they gave me a slip of paper with it mentioned, but they have never given me this paper in all my stays here! How is this even possible? Room is pretty good, location is OK for bus/metro and walkable to Union Station. However, I have 3 upcoming reservations for here which I just canceled. I'll probably come back at some point but time to explore some other properties - that have breakfast and let you know!

Angela A.

Yelp
Nice hotel with clean rooms. Air conditioning doesn't work well, so I don't recommend staying here during a heat wave. On-site restaurant for breakfast was not good. Pre-packaged danishes, rice, fish and hotel-style scrambled eggs. The hotel cafe was small and quaint with choices of breads, coffee and juice. The hotel also has a self-serve convenience-store area with snacks, drinks and a few drug store items.

Rose F.

Yelp
The Miyako has a new look on the exterior of the building. The management and Board of Directors approved an art piece to honor and welcome Shohei Ohtani, who joined the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2024 season. Artist and famed muralist, Robert Vargas, created an iconic painting that is larger than life in many ways. The hotel is located in Little Tokyo area of Los Angeles (near 1st and Central Streets). Tourists from all over the world travel and stay at this hotel. The amenities include a restaurant, cocktail lounge, fitness/work-out gym, and business center equipped with desktop computers. Conveniently located a few blocks away from the Metro Train Stop and Union Station, there are many restaurants and shops just a few steps away to make your visit memorable. The media broadcasted daily stories and updates and progress of this culturally significant project. I attended the unveiling, which was the day before the Opening Day game at Dodger Stadium. The mural is amazing in person compared to photos recently posted online. When in the Los Angeles area, come by for lunch or dinner, and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Yelp
This place has become our favorite place to stay while in dtla. The location is right by a subway station that you can transfer to a train to get to from the airport. The restaurants near by are great. If you don't mind a tad longer walk you can head to grand central market as well. Rooms are adequate and always clean. They have bidets in each room as well. Great place to stay and not break the bank while improving your food and drink options.

Yelp
We stayed at the Miyako Hotel over the Memorial Day holiday; conveniently located in the heart of Little Tokyo and just a few steps away from the Little Tokyo Mall, the hotel is a perfect place to stay when visit Los Angeles' Little Tokyo. The hotel lobby was fairly posh and modern, and boasts a connivence room accessible only to hotel patrons plus it also had the loveliest cafe: Okayama Kobo and Tamo Sushi-- a Japanese restaurant located on the 2nd floor. The rooms for was spacious, the beds are comfortable, the room had a mini-fridge and a cool Japanese-style toilet (trust me, it was awesome). The staff were nice enough, especially the cafe crew, they were super sweet. We had a great time visiting Little Tokyo and staying at the Miyako Hotel was a great choice.

Mike L.

Yelp
My wife stayed here for a business trip, the client paid for it so I can't comment on the pricing, but I really enjoyed our stay there. Miyako Hotel is in the heart of Little Tokyo, within a stone's throw of the historic Little Tokyo Mall and within walking distance to different shops and places in Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Downtown LA. The room was clean, we stayed there almost a week and had them service the room once including changing the towels and bed sheets. One of their elevators was unavailable, probably related to them replacing the carpet on the 5th Floor (not the floor we were staying on). Their lobby was clean and had comfortable looking seating although I have not not been lounging in lobbies since COVID. We tried the coffee shop and bakery in the lobby and it was pretty tasty and felt pretty good to support a local business.

Yelp
Beautiful boutique hotel. Loved our stay here. We were treated so well by all the staff. Room was great. Will stay here again.

Laurra H.

Yelp
Great service surrounded by ramen restaurants. Must card to go up elevators. Nice security feature. Room: i got 2 bedroom with queen sized beds. Comes with refrigerator, mini coffee pot, ice bucket. Parking: $35/day? Can go in and out all you want. Valet only. If that bothers you 100 feet away there are 2 public parking lots. Amenities: office has two standing computers for you to use, free wifi, free gym to work off those ramens. Gotta show vaccinated card for gym. Comes down to location location location. There are hotels in los angeles with free parking and $50 cheaper but you have to have a car to go get food/ coffee/ buy water. After taxes and fees almost $190/night. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and its LA in a touristy area.

A Foodie F.

Yelp
So quiet and clean and safe, with a really delicious bakery downstairs, right in the heart of Little Tokyo with convenient valet. I will definitely stay again.

Estie S.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I love how close it is to Japan town (Tokyo Mall) and the service and people here are friendly! Theres a cute japanese bakery/cafe on the lobby floor, 24 hour snacks and food store, and on the 2nd floor they have an awesome bar lounge with fun live karaoke with incredible service from the all the staffs! It was the best hotel I ever stayed at and Im really thankful my bf booked this place for us while visiting LA.

Shawn F.

Yelp
Good- wonderful location close to all things Little Tokyo. Wonderful food and shops nearby, and historic landmarks. Very safe and walkable area, which can be difficult to come by in downtown LA. Bad- heat was not well maintained as it has an old system and WiFi was in and off (not great for a work trip).

Alex E.

Yelp
Favorite hotel in DTLA! It's very very clean and also in a perfect location. I only wish that they would bring back the complimentary house slippers. We always looked forward to them.

Sam W.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Miyako! The rooms were super clean, complimentary slippers and the bathrooms were so nice! Love the traditional Japanese style toilets. The only thing was the customer service at the front desk Wasn't the friendliest, maybe we caught them at an off day.

Daniel W.

Yelp
Cleanliness: 5/5 The place is spotless, a stark contrast to the increasing levels of grunge commonplace in Downtown LA. Location: 5/5 Situated in the heart of Little Tokyo, restaurants and shopping abound nearby. A metro station is going up a block down, but the hotel is far enough away from busy streets that it's quiet at night. The LA Convention Center and Koreatown are just a short Uber ride away. Room: 4/5 The rooms here are a bit on the small side, as is typical for LA. The amenities are quite reasonable, and things generally seem to work, but there's nothing particularly special about the rooms themselves, other than the Japanese toilets. Service: 4/5 The staff were efficient and welcoming for the most part. Unfortunately, the desk staff didn't let guests know they needed to scan their room card to get up to their floor, and only provided one card per room by default. Easy room for improvement there. Value: 4/5 I'd have expected to pay more, given the location, but a lot of that value seems to be accomplished by not doing anything particularly special, just doing the basics well and having a good location. As others have noted, parking is a bit expensive here, but on the other hand, that means if you're not coming with a car, you're not subsidizing others who are. Seems fair enough. Overall: 5/5. Certainly one of the better places I've stayed in LA overall. While there are nicer places to stay, to be sure, you'll find they're overall more expensive.

Yelp
Miyako Hotel has been such a delight to stay at. It is located right next Japantown, LA and is of walking distance (1-2 minutes walk). Parking was tough since it was New Years Eve and everyone has arrived earlier, but there is a driveway near the lobby. The interior was very clean and wonderfully designed. Staff was just as lovely as the atmosphere; very polite and helpful. Our stay was unfortunately too short to enjoy more of what Miyako and the whole LA area had to offer. I look forward to returning one day.

Joel M.

Yelp
Perfect location for visiting Little Tokyo/Arts District, DTLA, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Clean with Japanese aesthetic update to an older hotel. The upper floor Premium rooms facing North have a beautiful view of the mountains and even a little peak of the Hollywood sign. The Okayama Kobo bakery in the lobby is not to be missed for buns and a latte. Reasonably priced for a DTLA hotel and Valet parking was significantly less than other hotels in the area. Highly recommend.

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Perfect location right next to the Japanese Village and everything awesome in Little Tokyo and DTLA. We stayed two nights for a quick trip to visit Little Tokyo and The Broad museum. Took the Metrolink train down there, hotel is an easy walk from Union Station. Ollie at the front desk was so cool! He helped us get a new room our first night. He speaks fluent Japanese too which was impressive since he's not Japanese and says he learned in school and traveling. Elevators quick and work well. Our first room was kinda run down and I thought the bidet was broken (turns out you have to be sitting on it for it to work, lol) The second room was a lot nicer. Both rooms were very clean. The second room had a weird film on the windows so you couldn't see out but at least it opened a bit. I probably should give 4 stars because the first rooms and some things run down but I just can't because I love the location and vibe too much! Love the cafe there too, great sea salt latte's and breads. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Dulce M.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. This place is overpriced. And they charged me an extra $300 on my card without my authorization. Because they went through my trash and found a pack of cigs and cigar trash. I did not smoke in the room but yet they sent me pictures of the trash can saying it was prohibited to smoke. I filed a claim but they stood by they decision. I wish I would have smoked and stank up the room so that would really cost you $300. Worst hotel in downtown.

Ryan G.

Yelp
I attended a wedding in the Arts District and booked a room at the Miyako even though I live only 30 minutes away in Orange County. I definitely had a great experience with my stay. I checked in an hour early due to the wedding's start time, and they were very accommodating with my request. The valet parking was $36 a night which to be fair is not a terrible price for Downtown Los Angeles. The parking staff was also very fast and friendly as well. The room was extremely clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect. I woke up the next morning, and took a stroll down Little Tokyo. A familiar sight for me, but still very cool to visit the area in the early hours. I had brunch with family members the next morning, and the café that is in the Miyako is extremely convenient and reasonably priced. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the Miyako is a great place to stay!

Jennifer J.

Yelp
This is one of the best hotels to stay at because it is "JAPAN CLEAN" and service is top notch here. The bathrooms are so nice because you have a bidet and a Japanese style Toto bathtub. Unfortunately, we got a room with a dinky tub. (Minus a star) Ugh... PRO -Best location ever. You are in the heart of Little Tokyo and pretty much don't need to drive your car anywhere. All you have to do is walk outside and you have so many food options and places to shop. -The rooms are CLEAN, a.k.a. Japan clean for those who know what I'm talking about. Ha! :) The hotel is also clean. -Hotel stuff and security or extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. -They have security in the front lobby to keep the riffraff out. -Valet parkkng: $36 per night with in/out access. Definitely worth it and highly recommend it so you don't have to worry about finding any street parking or walking far. It was super easy, safe and convenient for us. -They have a really cool bar and karaoke on the second floor. The bartenders are awesome and make the best cocktails. Closed Sundays. -There is a cute new café in the lobby that serves coffee drinks. They are still new/just opened so food isn't available yet. CONS -Our room was small compared to what we're usually given here, but that is downtown LA for you. I didn't like how we were given a handicap room because they had that weird handicap chair inside the bathroom. We also didn't get the larger Japanese bathrm tub!! :((( We didn't bother mentioning it to the front desk because we didn't feel like changing rooms since we arrived late that evening.

Hickman B.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Miyako! I had reservations at first about the location downtown, but instead, found it to be a very nice spot. Several dinners to choose from and a good place to walking around. The hotel is modern and clean, and the service was exceptional. What more can you ask for? I will definitely stay there again.

Kris M.

Yelp
This hotel was very clean, and the staff was always friendly! Loved the bidet toilets so much. They also give you 2 complimentary waters each day. The best part is housekeeping comes in daily to freshen up your room. I have missed that since the whole hotel industry stopped doing daily housekeeping since 2020! Great location next to Little Tokyo. The beds are small & not very comfortable and the pillows are toddler sized. That would be my biggest complaint if I had to nit pick. We would stay here again! Overall I would give 4.5 stars.

Megan G.

Yelp
You get a lot of value out of the Miyako Hotel: clean, quiet, great location to enjoy the sights and sounds of Little Tokyo and DTLA. If you want a great place to stay while exploring the many attractions of Los Angeles, you can't beat this place. Also the coffee and breakfast pastries were an added bonus.

Erik M.

Yelp
Perfect spot to be in when you're in LA. Center of the city. Also, the hotel itself is very cozy despite the weekend I was at only one elevator was working but I can't fault that, it's stoopid to leave a bad review for something petty. The room was very comfortable, nice, slept well and the interior was well designed. I enjoyed staying there and looking forward to another visit.

Mito I.

Yelp
Quick Summary: - Located in the heart of Little Tokyo - Convenient with the annual anime convention - There is a short cut route to the Jungle store from the hotel - Clean and comfortable room - Awesome wifi service - The website says "complimentary" water bottles, but they charge when checking out We booked for three days for the anime convention a few months back. I recalled that this is also one of the one-way bus stops to the convention center, so this was another reason why we booked this. The staff were friendly and also quite used to the anime atmosphere, so regardless of having a classy lobby and mood, they have greeted us with kind smiles as we walked out decked in anime merchandise and gear. The room is set in a natural color themed room with colors of brown and tan. It was very calming and made me pretty comfortable for the three days. The staff informed us that there is a restaurant on the second floor, and we checked it out but didn't go in. (maybe next time?) The temperature was adjustable and the bed was cool and just the right firmness. Sleep came in easily, so I had a pleasant sleep for the whole stay. I also loved how it was splat in the middle of Little Tokyo, so if I was hungry, I could take the elevator, walk down Little Tokyo Plaza and buy some food at NIjiya Market, or sit and eat at the Okonomiyaki store (or ramen or udon or bento...) and return back up to the hotel and rest up for the next day. It was very convenient and a blessing after the days at the convention. The only reason why I am docking off a star is because of the misleading information on the website. On the site, it mentioned complimentary water bottles, so we assumed these were going to be free. However, on the day of checkout, they asked us how many bottles we took and mentioned there was a price. That was slightly disappointing, and it would have been helpful, if there was a price card somewhere near the water bottles.

Yelp
I love to stay at the Miyako Hotel when going to the East West Theatre, Little Tokyo or the Japanese American Museum. Very comfortable, clean hotel. Little breakfast-lunch cafe on-site is perfect for that bite to start the day.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Great location in Little Tokyo, and clean spacious rooms as well. It's right next to all of the action and a well priced and nicely maintained hotel, so I can't think of any reason not to stay!

Kevin M.

Yelp
I stayed here when I had to go to a wedding a few blocks down and I was blown away on how a place with this much class exists in LA. You are in the Heart of Little Tokyo and you have so much to window shop, enjoy and can Uber pretty much anywhere from there. Maybe I was lucky on that stay or maybe the 2nd time the same year I wanted to spend my birthday weekend cause I loved my experience. The place is clean and to all the crybaby's about the parking situation. It is LA, get over yourself. Go somewhere else so I can have parking. p.s. first time using a Japanese toilet, who ever sets it higher than one, you are something else.

Dominic J.

Yelp
i will only stay here for every trip to dtla from now on, great location to metro, food, shops; clean room and super friendly people

Mark N.

Yelp
An unexpected surprise hotel located in Downtown Los Angeles' Little Tokyo district - of all the times I visited the area, I never realized that it existed. I was in the area for an event and the hotel was recommended. I will definitely utilize the Miyako Hotel again. Miyako is an American style/standard business hotel in terms of size, amenities (coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board) with Japanese service, hospitality, and amenities. A Japanese style bidet is part of the toilet and the restaurant serves Japanese cuisine and adult beverages. Plus * Location - located in the middle of downtown Los Angeles' Little Tokyo district - in the middle of everything and able to walk the area. Close to downtown Los Angeles. * Gym - the layout is a bit small and tight, but it has all the equipment needed to workout. Dumbbells from 5~50 lbs, adjusting bench, weight machine, 2x threadmills, 2x elliptical, 1x bike, 1x recumbent bike, etc. * Breakfast - I had vouchers for the breakfast in the morning and was pleasantly surprised at the selection. A mix of traditional Japanese (rice, miso soup, tsukemono, natto, nishime, etc.) and American favorites (bread, yogurt, bacon, sausage, etc.) Minus * None for the stay If ever in need of an affordable, functional, and centrally located hotel in downtown Los Angeles, consider the Miyako Hotel.

Yelp
If you've been to the one in Torrance, this one will shock you. Dated, and just overall a complete opposite of the Hybrid building. Parking is valet only.

Kirk M.

Yelp
Ordered a king size bed and they gave me double beds - what a joke - parking was a nightmare as well - of course when I booked they said parking is no problem

James S.

Yelp
First time and last time staying here. 5 of us were on a business trip and booked 3 rooms here. Because our names were not on our issued corporate cards they would not accept it as payment, even though we showed proof of our employment. I spoke to the manager and she wasn't helpful at all and pretty much didn't care. I ended up having to use a personal credit card for all the rooms. Not cool. The rooms were clean, a little worn but ok. The a/c Didn't work in any of our three rooms so it got stuffy and warm during the day. There are a ton of great Japanese restaurants close to the hotel and lots to see and do. The coffee cafe in the hotel had great friendly service and the coffee and pastries were good. They get 4 stars.

Julie C.

Yelp
I'm really big about staying at nice hotels and must say this one is one of my favorite hotels this far... but if you are touring LA this place is safe and all about location location. It's in the heart of Little Tokyo, 5 min away from the Art District, Olvera Street, and Chinatown and 15 min away from Hollywood. The hotel is very clean and is in a very safe area. They have a water softener and I'm in love with the shower. I couldn't stop touching my hair cuz it was so damn soft and on point lol.. the pricing was very reasonable. Considering they are open during COVID19, their valet parking is closed but the have a public parking next door where you can park your car overnight and it will be ok. Also the elevator doors remain open at all times and can only be operated with a key fob.

Molly M.

Yelp
This is the worst experience with a hotel I have EVER had. Actually, worst experience with any customer service in general. And that is saying something considering that right before this I dealt with another hotel having bedbug stains, which is why I came here in the first place. The heater took an hour to get a little warm. It turned on and off every half hour and made an extremely loud JARRING sound that made me jump. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep. After trying for 2 hours, I called the front to tell them about this and the man said the heater does that in all of the rooms. It was too late for me to try to go anywhere else, and I had already dealt with issues with the other hotel so I just kept trying to sleep, which I finally did for about 2 hours before the alarm clock went off at 6 AM, that I DID NOT SET. LIKE WHAT???? I called the front to tell them what a horrible experience I had and all they offered to do was cancel the next night that I had booked. I called Priceline, which I had booked them through, and they said they talked to the hotel management and there was nothing they could do because the hotel did not want to refund me my $200. There was absolutely no reason I should have had to pay for that horrifying experience, and they did absolutely nothing. Clearly this is a regular occurrence and they don't care. All I can hope now is that I can help others avoid the same awful fate. Also, their positive Yelp and Google reviews are CLEARLY fake. Like even if none of that happened, it was tiny and rundown and overpriced and their raving reviews are completely uncalled for.

I like this hotel. My room was very clean and quiet. The room was very modern. The led light fixtures (desk and headboard) were nice. The AC and WiFi worked. The shower had adequate pressure and water temperature was fine. My bed was very good and comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located to the Japanese Village Plaza. Customer service was friendly and efficient. However, there was no free breakfast. I could connect to their WiFi network with my iPhone, but not my iPad. The room needs more lighting.

Yelp
Clean, smells terrific, and wonderful. In addition to being super-nice, and in a great location, they throw in free breakfast at their awesome bakery, and self-parking. Absolutely perfect if you're looking to spend time in Little Tokyo, and its a quick Uber to downtown. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've stayed here a couple of times now while visiting family in L.A. It's not a super fancy hotel but it's clean and in the heart of downtown Little Tokyo where you can find yummy food and explore neat items at gift shops. Think it was roughly $200/night for 2 double beds when I last stayed there around Christmas time. They have those Bidet toilet seats that can warm and clean your butt but I never tried it lol. The valet guys are nice and they have a café and other amenities. I recommend trying Marugame Monzo across the street (delicious sea urchin udon).

Yelp
I'm not gonna lie, if all you're wanting is to only be in Little Tokyo then this is an ideal location. I checked in super late so after going across the street for some yummy yum yum yum yummy ramen I went straight to bed. I wake up in the morning & I find MOLD on my pillows!!I talked to their acting manager Kyoko about the issue and all I got was an apology. I showed her a video of the pillows & she goes, "Why did you take a video of the water?" First off, who cares about the water & second I was doing so to show it was the Miyako hotel! She tells me her housekeeping told her those pillows weren't like that prior to check in so she won't do anything about it. She legit said that, she won't do anything I even asked if that's what she meant and she confirmed she would not do anything about it. What's funny is that Kyoko was SO DIFFERENT/NICE to the white guests. With me Kyoko was rude, abrupt & condescending. She actually talked down to me! Like I was some bum on the side of the road begging for change. It was humilating. I ended up checking out & going to another hotel. I truly believe had I have been a white guest she would've treated me so different. I mean, I saw her treat white guests differently, in a nice way! Oh and to add insult to injury they charged my card twice! Over 600 bucks was charged on my card & I was only there for one night!! Da faq?!

Yelp
Unfortunately, I would recommend that you do not stay here. The customer service at the level of management is atrocious - except for with Kyoto and a few other staff. I was intruded upon by their housekeeping staff while I was resting in the room. I was not fully clothed when their staff knocked on the door. I responded and said I was busy - repeatedly. They came in anyway and while I was on the bed, they proceeded to talk to me despite the fact that I was in the bed and not full clothed. They rushed to say they needed to finish cleaning. This was already a MAJOR concern. This has never, in my entire life, ever happened at a hotel. I spoke with management about this. I respect everyone's labor but you must respect my privacy and humanity as well. Instead of addressing the violation or even asking if I was okay, Mari, the assistant manager placed the blame on me and suggested that we could leave - despite the fact that I have already paid for three days. This could have easily been remedied, but management was insulting, condescending, and provided a poor response. Mari suggested that I needed to have locked the door. A lackluster response but also, do not blame me for this incident. She never apologized. I asked repeatedly for the general manager's information. Mari, the assistant manager, refused to provide us with the information. Initially, she informed us that the GM would have no authority over the concern because this was operations not finance. Then she insisted that the GM would not be available until Sunday, which then changed to Monday afternoon. It should not be that difficult to get support or even an apology. Again - never once did Mari apologize for the challenging situation let alone the intrusion. After we questioned Mari's approach, she attempted to placate us by offering minimal concessions. I insisted that we still needed to talk to the general manager. Mari was still reluctant to provide this info. When we finally spoke to the GM, he explained that they do not comp rooms, but offered his apology. Fine. I still believe that deserve so much more than a belated apology for the extreme inconvenience and intrusion. And no one deserves to experience what I did here. Not a person. For the record, we really wanted to like this place but the failure of management to even acknowledge their customer's basic needs and privacy ruined the entire experience. Stay somewhere else where you actually matter. We will never be back. And will have to consider heightening this concern to corporate office. It was such a ridiculous, unnecessary experience. Customer dollars matter here way more than the customer. Clearly.

Yelp
Great staff, amenities and location. Hotel is walking distance to Little Tokyo near restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. Front desk staff was courteous during the check in. After our day at Universal Studio, we had a good rest in the room with clean bed. I highly recommend the "Park & Breakfast" offer by the hotel which included self parking and continental breakfast voucher redeemable at the bakery on 1st floor. The bread at the Okayama Kobo Bakery and cafe was amazing. This hotel makes everything so welcoming and relaxing during my trip near downtown Los Angeles.

Yelp
The hotel is very convenient and close to Little Tokyo. The safety feature of swiping your card in the elevator and only being able to get off on your floor was nice. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to check out downtown and be close to Union Station. Overall, the staff we very helpful and the Aveda products made me feel like I was being pampered. I'd stay again.

Yelp
There are plenty of better options nearby. This hotel is overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are hideous. There's not much going on in terms of interior design. The worst part of staying here is the terrible costumer service. They act annoyed if you make simple requests. Ask for extra towels and they treat you like a criminal. They also charge a 200 dollar incident fee which is insane compared to other hotels which charge 100 at most. I'm only staying here as a last option. Kawada has smaller rooms, but the price is much more reasonable and they're staff is much friendlier. Omni right up the street is another good option. There's also a ton of noise from the street. This is fairly close to homeless camps, so the sounds of random homeless people yelling makes it difficult to sleep. Also, you have to bring your own soap, because they only provide low-quality liquid soap. I would not recommend staying here.

Yelp
I booked this hotel for 3 days and had to leave after the first night because there are bed bugs. I should have known since the furniture was stained and dirty. I informed the hotel staff and they were nonchalant about it. I requested a full refund for the inconvenience but haven't heard a word from anyone. This place is really a 2 star hotel so beware.

Yelp
What a wonderful place in a great location. Wonderful hospitality. Sparkling clean, large rooms. Kind staff. The restaurant on the 2d floor served me the freshest sashimi I ever had in my life. The little bakery on the ground floor has pastries and breads to die for. I come here to stay for business reasons, but always feel completely refreshed and as if I've been on vacation because of their great 100% hospitality. Did I mention it's half a block from the Little Tokyo Village, so you can take a little walk through that interest area and feel quite safe. Also within half a block are branches of Chase, Citibank and Wells Fargo. The Japanese American Museum is also within a half block. What a place! I love it. I want to live there. One more thing - great prices. One star less for their merciless, draconian cancellation policy.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at Miyako Hotel. Location wise it was perfect, with immediate access to all of Little Tokyo (daikokuya and mille crepe are must visits). Our room was clean and elegant and the staff was friendly, and the cafe's food was very tasty. I'll definitely stay here again next time I come to LA! Also, if you're a fan of anime and manga, be sure to check out Jungle in the mall right around the corner. I haven't seen anything like it outside of Japan.

Yelp
I stayed here for the Los Angeles Marathon only for 1 night. There were numerous food, shops, and restaurant options all within walking distance including the very popular Daikokuya which is just across the street. The hotel looked really modern from both the outside and inside. The check-in process was quick and friendly. They have staff that are multilingual and can speak Japanese. That definitely helps since they are located in Little Tokyo. The room was clean and came with some amenities that you don't normally find in a US hotel. They had slippers, an emergency flashlight next to the door, and the fancy toilet has a built in bidet. The bed was clean and really comfortable. I had no trouble falling asleep. The bathroom had clean towels and the shower had good water pressure. They provide Aveda products for shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. It was a short walk over to Union Station to catch the bus ride over to the starting line at Dodger Stadium. This was a good place to stay for the marathon. You can take the Metro rail from Santa Monica back into Downtown LA when you're done with the race. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

Yelp
It's a nice place to stay. Very clean and neat. The rooms are big and there's many restaurants close by. They also have deliver room service from Momma's and pappa's pizza restaurant. We ordered and it was delicious.
