Chill Middle Eastern eatery with a patio offering falafel, shawarma, kofta & merguez, plus juices.
"Mizlala’s Sycamore Ave. space is the third location in this casual Mediterranean spot’s growing grilled meat empire. As far as the menu goes, it’s similar to their West Adams location, which is to say, it’s filled with delicious, simple plates like chicken shawarma or schnitzel, falafel, and lamb kefta that all cost around $15. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but if you’re particularly low on time, there’s a self-ordering kiosk so you can be in and out in under five minutes. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Located on the increasingly exciting Sycamore Ave. in Hollywood, The Hideout is a new cocktail/wine bar and an ideal spot to meet a friend when you have no idea how long you want to hang out with them. Maybe it ends up being one quick round and a socially distant wave goodbye. Maybe you both go in on a bottle of biodynamic rosé together and swap stories all night about how your partner’s natural breathing pattern sometimes makes you want to leave them in the dark of the night. Either way, The Hideout has you covered. There’s also a tiny snack section if you get hungry, and we recommend the $24 charcuterie that comes with two different cheeses, salami, duck, pâté, and assorted pickled vegetables." - Brant Cox
