Where To Eat & Drink On Your Napa Road Trip

"The English muffin from Model Bakery - in all its golden, buttery glory - is essentially Napa’s equivalent of the Idyllwild dog mayor - a local celebrity. Head to this spot in the Oxbow Public Market to get them with butter or jam, or, if you’re hungrier, in sandwich form (we love the one with sausage, jalapeño jack, and roasted red pepper aioli). The original Model Bakery up in St. Helena is also open." - julia chen 1

"Okay, we know it's random, but Model makes the best English muffins (yes, they're that good). Oversized and layered with cornmeal, they're insanely light and often-copied. Model has been an institution in the area for almost 100 years, which means you can also trust them for great bread if you're putting together a picnic with other items from Oxbow. They also have a location in St. Helena."

Model Bakery in Napa was the perfect way to start the day—every bite and sip felt intentional and full of comfort. The white mocha was smooth and rich, not too sweet, just right. The cinnamon roll was everything a cinnamon roll should be—gooey, soft, and soul-soothing. And the morning bun? Absolute magic. Buttery layers with a hint of citrus and caramelized edges that made it unforgettable. This isn’t just breakfast—it’s an experience. If you’re someone who believes in savoring the little things and living life to the fullest, this place delivers that joy in every bite

Google
The model bakery is lauded by Oprah for the English muffins. She's not wrong. The original breakfast is simple and so satisfying. Scrambled eggs ham and cheese on a perfect muffin bun. We also had the mushroom lovers which was so umami and flavourable.

Google
This place is so cute and warm. The pastries are delicious and perfectly made BUT the English muffin sandwiches are absolutely delicious and so incredible tasty! I was in Napa for 3 days. Model bakery was 5 minutes from my hotel and I was there every morning to eat breakfast and have my coffee. Love this place!!!

Google
This bakery is right next to the Oxbow Public Market. Went in to grab a pastry and ended up getting a cheese danish. Couldn’t leave without getting a cold brew so ended up ordering one. You have to wait outside while they make your drink and they’ll call your name once ready. The cold brew went well with the cheese danish which was also delicious. They had other breakfast items and plenty of other pastries along with bread. Definitely recommend checking out!

Best English muffins you ever had. Great variety of artisanal breads, scrumptious pastries. Good coffee and fresh breakfast sandwiches. Fast, friendly and professional service, there is always a line out of the door , but it moves fast. Plenty of outdoor seating. It is very popular for a reason. This truly is a model bakery, do not miss!

Google
The famous English muffin was the best!!! This English muffin is unlike the package one you can purchased at a grocery store. I heard about this delicious muffin from some strangers who absolutely adore the place. The entire staff were pleasant and made the experience pleasurable. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather eating on picnic tables that were cleaned and maintained. I just saw that there is now a location located in Walnut Creek . Try a slice of pizza which is just yummy to the tummy

Google
Of course try some English muffins. They do sell out so a weekday before noon and you will be fine. They have fresh bread and pastries all are high quality but you do pay for it. I would avoid the chorizo breakfast sandwich unless you get extra spread, it's a bit dry, but everything else is pretty much on point. The iced coffee lids leak a little so be warned. Outdoor seating only. Parking can be hard to find.

Google
Great bakery at the Oxbow Market. The breakfast muffins on the English muffins are phenomenal. But don’t sleep on the almond croissant!

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 100 stars! After seeing this place on my social media I know I had to visit it. It's a small shop with outdoor seating. We were helped quickly and ordered coffees, English muffin, and breakfast wrap. All items were amazing but the star of the show was the English muffin with raspberry jam! It was so amazing that we had to come back the next day, Don't miss it!

Yelp
We love their cookies, pastries and english muffins, soups! Sourdough baguette burnt crust twice tho we never double check our bagged baguettes because this is such a high tier bakery we never had to We are regulars bread ingredients are not so expensive you cannot throw out burnt baguettes before it reaches customers
google avatar

Yelp
Didn't know they had matcha here! What a pleasant surprise! I ordered a matcha + almond milk + honey - came out pretty good. I am also a fan of the banana bread - this is excellent and a MUST try. I also love their seasonal pumpkin bread, but the banana bread takes the cake by far!

Yelp
I ordered Model Bakery through delivery, I imagine it might be better fresh. I ordered the egg sandwich with sausage, and while it was good, it felt a bit on the heavy side and very greasy. The English muffin, which they're known for, was solid but didn't live up to the hype. The green juice was fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. Definitely worth trying if you're curious!

Yelp
Happy Dance !!! Y'all are closer to us now !!! Outstanding!!! We are big fans of Model Bakery & the #1 absolutely the best English muffins ever ! The breads , pastries & sandwiches , coffee are absolutely fantastic. We placed an online order for p/u in Walnut Creek & literally 17 minutes versus an hour plus to get these wonderful English muffins ever ! When we use to go to the Oxbow Market location we would make sure we pick up goodies at Model Bakery . Then Covid happen & we were placing orders to be shipped to my daughter & to us as well . My daughters were visiting & we took them to the Oxbow Market location & very year since then we ship or pick up . The WC location is fairly new & we are beyond estatic that y'all are so much closer !!! Heck Yay!!! This place is spotless & immaculately clean & updated from the ones in the Sonoma area. We were greeted by a young lady who was delightfully cheery & friendly this beautiful early morning visit . We've been to different bakeries all over the USA early in the morning & they look like they needed a cup of coffee & were grumpy pants . As we were leaving the lady delivering our take out breakfast sandwich , politely Thanked us with a smile ! What a great way to start off the morning w/ a happy crew! We will be back for sure . We had to pick some up for my daughter she requested b/c we're going out there to visit .

Yelp
We came in on a Monday around 11:00am. We ordered the original breakfast sandwich. After we ordered we waited and waited. They never brought our sandwich out. We had to go in to ask for it. The sandwich was fantastic!-stuffed with egg, cheese and ham! Our friends got one of the bear claws and declared it - the BEST! Definitely a great bakery and we need to make it a go to every time we in Napa!!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here while wine tasting in the area. The reviews stated their brick oven made English muffins were popular. We shared a toasted English muffin with a homemade raspberry jelly. The English muffin was very soft, airy and had a buttery taste to it. I also tried an almond croissant with just the right amount of almond filling . It did not disappoint. It was very soft and fresh. The bakery was full when we arrived but we received our order fairly quickly.

Yelp
Too bad there isn't a Model Bakery in Sacramento. When it's a special occasion, we make the long drive to Napa and pick up some of their English Muffins. If you haven't tried their English muffins, I highly recommend you do! It's very hard to explain how good they are. It's definitely not like the common grocery bought kind. These are freshly made and very light. On this particular trip, we made it here around 7:15a. There was no wait, and we were able to order our 6 pack of English muffins. Did we just order one 6 pack? Driving almost 2 hours here, of course not! We ordered a lot! Haha. Anyways, the bakery itself is small. There's no inside seating. If you want inside seating, the Model Bakery in Saint Helena has that. Other things I recommend trying is their breakfast sandwich. When around the downtown Napa area looking for a quick breakfast, stop by The Model Bakery!

Yelp
Would highly recommend this spot for english muffins!! Be prepared of a wait if you're going on a weekend - it gets quite busy. The avocado toast and breakfast burrito were only okay.
google avatar

Yelp
One thing about this place is it's consistent! Years later I still love this place! My go to is the veggie breakfast sandwich, and the chocolate chip cookie with walnuts. So dang good!

Yelp
Came here on our first stop during our day trip to Napa. This bakery is world famous and within reason. They make THE BEST English muffins I've ever tasted. It is definitely worth a stop. The line went pretty quickly and they had a lot of great items to choose from the menu. I recommend their traditional egg sandwich with their homemade bagels! And definitely take some home. They have a lovely and roomy space with seating and tables and chairs with shade for sitting and enjoying your meal! It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Napa However do note that there isn't much to see or walk around over there. They do have this nice artisan shopping center next door that's nice to walk into and explore, you can find a lot of great souvenirs there (albeit super pricy!). But other then that there isn't much to do in that area. I wouldn't come here specifically for the pastries, but definitely this place you need to try these bagels!! That's a must!!!

Yelp
Let me start by saying, English muffins are one of my favorite breads and when we originally were planning our Napa daytrip, this wasn't even one of the scheduled stops. Thanks to ChatGPT for recommending this spot because it was the perfect start to the day! There are a few locations near Napa county, but we decided to visit the downtown Napa location because it required the smallest detour. It's located near Oxbow Public Market but not attached to the main building (it's off to the side) and has a tiny parking lot. When we arrived, the line wasn't too long but it did grow as we were waiting for our food. It was super hard just to pick one thing because we didn't start to overstuff ourselves, but we ordered the Veggie Breakfast sandwich which comes with a fried egg, hash browns, avocado, tomatoes on their famous English muffin. The wait was a bit long, I think around 20 mins to get our food but when it came out, it was one of the most beautiful breakfast sandwiches ever. I wish I was able to get my own because it was that delicious and I'm still dreaming of my next visit. If you are in the area and need something to eat, this is definitely the place to go. There are so many items I wanted to try, even just a simple toasted English muffin. Will 10000% be back again if I'm ever in the area!

Yelp
I had seen them building one of these Bakeries in East Bay in Wc. I had a foodie friend give me the heads up about how lucky we are to have one of these in our neighborhood in the near future. I had taken a few family out of town visitors to Oxbow and we ran into this location. My foodie friend had told me that their English Muffins are their trademark baked goodie. I had ordered a Curtado espresso and one of their E Muffins with jam and butter. I had a bite of one of their cookies and it was really good. The English Muffin was so good and the jam ( apricot) was really good as well. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area or I will highly anticipate the opening of the Wc location. Btw- the Pies and other baked goods looked really good too.
google avatar

Yelp
Was in Napa for the weekend and a friend asked us to bring back some English Muffins, so naturally I had to try. I normally don't eat them, but this buttered English muffin with the strawberry jam & sausage patty was amazing. When it's toasted it's still as soft as a toasted croissant. If you like English muffins it's a must try!!! They have a lot of other baked goods as well. I also tried an oatmeal raisin cookie, that was pretty good as well. Outdoor seating only!!
google avatar

Kathleen Y.

Yelp
The English muffins here are out of this world! Came here for a quick breakfast and coffee pick-me-up before doing my BLS/ACLS renewal in the area, and wow, was I pleasantly surprised at how delicious my breakfast sandwich was! I worked in Napa for 6+ years and failed to try them out until recently. If I could grab this sandwich every morning, I definitely would! Model is usually pretty busy with locals dropping in for fresh baked bread and sweet pastries. The line was out the door the morning I visited, and understandably so. However, the line moved pretty fast, and they have a good system to get your order out to you rather quickly. I love their outdoor seating area. It's a great place to sit and people watch while you enjoy your food. I definitely recommend trying them out!
google avatar

Yelp
Model bakery still delivers. Every time. Every item is so good. Thrilled that there are packets of Cholula now to spice up your sandos. Special shoutout to the white chocolate hazelnut cookie for being the chewiest, dreamiest texture and a unique flavor combo!
google avatar

Darren M.

Yelp
Absolutely the best English muffin I have ever had. It's not typically something I would seek out, but I am obsessed. Everything about it from the crunch to the flavor was spot on. We ordered a single English muffin with butter and jam, "the original" breakfast sandwich, and a bearclaw. The only reason I dropped from a 5 to a 4 star review is because the original just tasted like an McMuffin from McDonald's. There wasn't really anything special about it to warrant the $13 price tag. I would steer clear of this one and just order 4 muffins with butter and jam next time. We liked the English muffins so much that we bought a 6 pack bag to take home with us.
google avatar

Sha G.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good breakfast sandwich, check out Model Bakery. They are known for English muffins. You can request a different type of bread for your breakfast sandwich if you would like. There are several options for breakfast, including pastries, muffins, and cookies. The sandwiches take a few minutes to prepare. Everything is made to order. There are tables outside to sit and wait patiently until your order number is called. Once you get your sandwich, get ready to dive into a tasty bite.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
The best breakfast sandwich, especially the sausage one. A must stop if you are in the area. The English muffins are so fluffy and so good!! They take online ordering which I highly recommend as they get super busy.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Come early! There is only outdoor communal sitting with 2 very long picnic tables and a few smaller ones. Must have the Toasted English muffin with butter and jam. Definitely try "the original" and the sausage sandwich . There is a plethora of pastries and on the other side by the coffee bar there are cakes, cold sandwiches, fruit, and tarts. The service is quick and efficient! We ordered a latte, cappuccino, the original, the sausage sandwich, apple pastry, chocolate chip cookie, and the English muffin with butter and strawberry jam. This time around they gave us smuckers strawberry jam packets. It was a bit disappointing since they usually serve homemade jam which was super delicious!
google avatar

Carla F.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to get a random recommendation for this place while trying some wine in a tasting room in Napa. They said you have to try their English muffins - they are incredible. I like English muffins but don't particularly seek them out - well I was so glad we did! We arrived early on a Sunday and there was a small line already (a good sign). We got a plain English muffin which we topped with butter and strawberry jam and the original breakfast sandwich which comes on an English muffin. Both were great but the star of the show was the plain English muffin. I would skip their coffee - try a coffee drink or grab coffee elsewhere. Otherwise it's a must in Napa!

Crystal V.

Yelp
I beat the crowd and ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich, hash brown and an avocado toast to go. With the amount of people rolling in, I was expecting the food to be good. However, my sandwich came out cold, my hash brown was cold as well and super dry like cardboard, the avocado toast was the only edible thing, probably because it was fine to eat cold. I took my order to go because I was headed to the hospital, otherwise I would've returned my food to the kitchen.
google avatar

Carol C.

Yelp
If you visit Napa, you need to stop here! On our annual girl's trip, this is the daily breakfast stop. The BFF gets the original and I switch around between the sausage, original and have gotten the BLT and subbed the house English muffin (extra toasted). The chocolate RAD cookie is another fav of mine. I got a few to take home. It's very chocolatey - it's like having a cookie and a piece of dark chocolate rolled in one. Don't be discouraged by the long lines, especially on the weekend - it's worth it! If you want to take home 6 pack(s) of English muffins, save room in your luggage and order in advance. They do run out early on the weekends. Regardless of how busy they are, everyone is helpful and all smiles.
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
This bakery is more than a bakery. It's specialty is their "English muffin". What a hugeeeee difference from the packaged stuff you buy when you shop at a store. Get a sandwich made with it and it's an experience! That cookie is their homemade concoction and it was unbelievable!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The English muffins are as advertised. Delicious! Go on a weekday if you don't like waiting in lines.
google avatar

Jared S.

Yelp
Model Bakery... these will be the best English muffins you've ever had. GUARANTEED! They've even been featured on Food Network! NOBODY should be giving Model less than five stars!! Period. End of discussion!! Model is located off 1st and McKinstry in the Downtown Napa area. The bakery is adjacent to the incredible Oxbow Market. Model does have a parking lot, but the lot is small and there's typically little to no availability. I'd recommend parking on the street or in the "Oxbow Lot." Or even better, walking (if you're a tourist and lodging Downtown). Moreover, I hadn't had Model in YEARS. I know, very sad and silly of me. However, my wife and I decided to trek up to Wine Country this past weekend for some tastings and delicious food! So Saturday morning when it came time for breakfast ideas, we both clamored for Model! I arrived at 9:45am Saturday morning (Feb. 3, aka Post-Groundhog Day). There was a line out the door! I guess I didn't realize that the San Francisco Giants were having a Fan Festival that same day in Downtown Napa across the street! That's what I get for being a (now former) Oakland A's fan. Every other time I had been to Model it had been busy, but never THIS crowded. But as I mentioned before, the reason for the crowd made sense! I waited in line for about 15 minutes and it moved relatively quickly. Once at the front of the line I decided to grab a half dozen English muffins (minimum order amount) and their Veggie breakfast sandwich. This comes with a fried egg, hash browns, avocado, tomato, ketchup, and mayo on... you guessed it, their infamous English muffins! After ordering I waited about 10 minutes for my Veggie breakfast sandwich to be made. Due to the crowd that was there for the Giants, I waited outside and they brought the sandwich out to me. I then hopped in my car and drove back to our hotel (I definitely could've walked, but my wife and I had wine tasting to get to)! Upon arriving back to our hotel I took my first bite... HEAVEN. Even BETTER than I had remembered!!! These English muffins are INSANELY delicious! Like a symphony of flavor! Buttery, soft, flakey... there's nothing else like them! These aren't your boring, store-bought English muffins... these things are saucer sized! Even plain, just add some jam or some butter on top... GAME OVER. My wife and I were sad when our breakfast was finished! As others have mentioned, you need these English muffins in your life! There's a reason why people get these FedEx'ed to them across the country. So next time you're in Wine Country come grab some HEAVEN and take it with you around Oxbow Market. Then go glab a glass of wine (or two...or three) and enjoy your time in Napa (or the surrounding area)!! Trust me. I wouldn't steer you wrong. MODEL = "GOAT" ENGLISH MUFFINS.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
You wait in line for what is said to be Oprah's favorite english muffin. You get a breakfast sandwich which says "ok this is a breakfast sandwich" but that english muffin is like no other! It cant decide what it wants to be when it grows up: a bun? a donut? bread? crumpet? I don't know! I just know that original breakfast sandwich is the thing you want to get. Skip your hotel breakfast...come here.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
Every time we come to model bakery, we stock up on so many English muffins. I packed my suitcase with four of the 6 packs. Yes that means I left half my bag open just to bring the deliciousness home. They also have amazing breakfast burritos, and croissants and desserts and coffee. It's got a nice clean ambience as well and the staff is nice. Not overly nice but friendly.
google avatar

Ro N.

Yelp
Can't believe we haven't tried this place yet! We've passed by it so many times. The muffin bread is delicious, and to my surprise, I actually preferred the vegetarian breakfast sandwich over the ham and egg one. We also got some assorted pastries (bear claw, croissant, cranberry raisin scone, custard danish) qnd bread.
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
Avocado toast was really fresh and I liked the added flavor with the herbs. Convenient set up where you order your food and they bring it out. We didn't run into a line since we were early and plenty of outdoor seating. Free parking at the Oxbow Public Market lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Model Bakery was highly recommended by many people, and I'm glad I had the chance to visit. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 12, and while it wasn't too crowded, the bakery is small, so you might have to wait outside for your number to be called. The service was quick, though, which was a plus. My boyfriend ordered "The Original," and I tried "The Sausage"--both were packed with flavor. The highlight was definitely the English Muffin, which was soft and moist, far from being dry. We also ordered an iced mocha and a black coffee. While the drinks were nothing extraordinary, they were satisfying and did the job.
google avatar

Kat L.

Yelp
A must try if you're ever in Napa CA. This english muffin is crispy and buttery on the top and fluffy on the inside. The smells is so mouth watering and honestly it is delicious when hot I wish to have been here when the baker started baking early in the morning. The smell of fresh baked bread is so enticing and especially butter bread.. mmmmmmm!!! I recommend you to try. It is in Opera's Favorite Things list.

Yelp
SO disappointed. I waited for this place to open, and once it did I waited for the perfect time to try their famous English Muffins. MEH, just underwhelming. I purchased a dozen (what am I going to do with them, now?) as well as a cranberry loaf cake, to bring to my book group. Once I realized I did not like their English Muffins (they are greasy, as if they had been fried, and even toasted, their were greasy. I held out higher hopes for the cranberry loaf, because it looked beautiful, but the taste was mediocre at best. I guess I am spoiled after eating the English Muffins at the Sideboard in Lafayette and Danville. Now THOSE are amazing! To add insult to injury, it was hard work to be able to purchase from Model Bakery. They do not answer their phones; they do not answer their e-mails, even after the manager of their Napa store put me in touch with the Walnut Creek store. You cannot order a day before, and you cannot specify or choose a time to pick up your order. Seriously? A dozen English Muffins and a very small loaf cake cost $38, which I would have happily spent had they been delicious, but they were not delicious. They weren't even good. SO disappointed. Oprah, I don't know what you see in them, but you ought to head on over to the Sideboard to taste one of their English Muffins.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
We came here in the early afternoon, and had some bakery items and a ginger chai. Everything was good - obviously fresh and of high quality. Plenty of parking was available on the street. It really wasn't busy when we came, but I've heard and read it's much busier in the mornings and then I could see parking being hard to find as they don't seem to have their own parking lot? They were out of the supposedly famous english muffins by the time we got there. No problem - plenty of other tasty choices. Pricing was fair for the area and the quality of the products. Employees were friendly. We'll be back!
google avatar

Dorothy M.

Yelp
This place is a must try if you're in the area or willing to take the drive. Make sure you already know what you want. They like to move the line quickly. We had breaky sandos, common roll, and coffee. Everyone loved their food!! Check them out
google avatar

Alejandra D.

Yelp
Tbh I've really only had the breakfast sandwiches at the St. Helena location. I won't get into the rock solid scone I had over there. The girl who helped us was friendly and welcomed our questions. We came towards the end of the day so I was not expecting to find much variety but I was so happy to see they still had tarts! -Dark chocolate peanut caramel Tart -Apple cranberry Tart -chocolate chip cookie Everything was delicious. The tarts look small but they were the perfect size. Inside was quite small but there was seating outside. I look forward to trying their other sweet items.
google avatar

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
We were super excited to try Oprah's fav English muffins but it sadly fell short of the hype. The English muffin was burnt and really crispy on the outside. It came with a choice of strawberry or blackberry jam- which turned out to be smuckers. The blueberry scone was mid and tasted like Starbucks.
google avatar

Marlee B.

Yelp
English muffin! Almond cookie! Breakfast wrap! This is located at the Oxbow. Made a quick pitstop here on a girls day to grab some pastries and breakfast wrap. Two favorites are the chorizo and the other being the Farmers (veggie). Make sure to grab a bag of English muffins to go!
google avatar

January C.

Yelp
Found this spot on tik tok and saw it was a must go. This place did not disappoint we got the English muffin sausage egg and cheese and a croissant bacon egg and cheese sandwich. This is a great first stop on a day out in Napa to keep you full and ready for adventures.
google avatar

Tamara M.

Yelp
I had to try this bakery. I got up early and there was already a line just as they opened. But it moved quickly. I ordered the English muffin, which is Oprah's favorite. I don't like English muffins, but it was super delicious. I ordered it toasted. It melted in my mouth. It tasted like a croissant mixed with baguette perhaps definitely didn't taste like an English muffin, but it was delicious. I didn't use the butter or the jam. It taste perfect without anything. I really enjoyed sitting outside and eating on the benches.

Yelp
Friendly staff, regular epi wheat bread is only available after 2pm ( better than Acme bread imo). Reasonable prices

Yelp
I don't always love what Oprah loves but when it comes to The Model Bakery, I am joining her love and exclaim over this place, its people, its amazing flavors & textures, and the creativity that oozes out of every crook & cranny. We were in Napa for Bottle Rock and decided to join the comparatively small line of only 12-14 people one morning while walking around the Oxbow Market area. We both decided on The Original - Scrambled Eggs, Canadian Bacon, Mild Cheddar Cheese on a Model Bakery Hand-Griddled English Muffin. We were blown away by how just their take on English muffins (which we heard are their specialty) makes this ordinary-sounding breakfast sandwich worth every penny of the $12.50! Still talking about it to this day and it's been a couple of weeks. I wanted to go back and try their morning glory muffin along with the scones that looked absolutely spectacular but we never made it back - we will in the future. Stand in line! People watch! And make sure you thank every staff member for being so dedicated to their cause.

Yelp
Average food, descent service, and an old school ambiance is the perfect way to describe Model Bakery at the OxBow in Napa. I ordered the Croissantwich, which says it comes with Applewood smoked bacon, eggs and cheddar cheese. For $12, it was an average breakfast sandwich. It didn't taste like applewood bacon, and the sandwich itself was very dry. I believe Model Bakery is living off of the hype that Oprah Winfrey provided. A lot of overpriced pastries, but you're definitely not missing out on anything.
google avatar

Polina L.

Yelp
Not a bad bakery with mid-range prices, fresh pastries, and a variety of drinks. They will bring you your food, which is nice. On the downside: * you can only sit outside (no places indoor); * small selection of sandwiches without bacon.

M L.

Yelp
Went here for lunch on a sunny December day and ordered the Cubano and the chicken panini. I'm posting a photo of the panini because it's not really a panini and wanted y'all to know. It's still quite a good sandwich just don't go there looking for a compressed sandwich with nice toasty bread and grill marks.

Yelp
Have been coming here for many years. Would definitely recommend the lemon bar, but today I tried their chocolate bread pudding muffin and I would highly recommend that as well. After 10sec in the microwave, it gave it a perfectly soft and chocolaty gooey center. The perfect pair to ang coffee or tea.

Yelp
We went to Napa for a couples trip from Thursday to Sunday and had sandwiches from Model Bakery every morning! Friday morning the guys went and brought back a 6 pack of English muffins, original sandwiches, and regular coffee. Saturday morning I grabbed the same order and Sunday morning another person went to grab it. We all had a great experience ordering/receiving the food, and everything was still hot and fresh when it was eaten. This is a small shop and we had to wait outside for our food but it wasn't a problem as there's plenty of space and seating. If visiting three times in three days doesn't speak to how great it is, I don't know what would! We highly recommend.

Yelp
Such a hyped place to visit. Although the English muffins are great, it was my first time trying English muffins... so I have nothing to compare it to. We will visit again.

Yelp
We had to stop at Model bakery during our trip to Napa. We came around brunch time, and there was already a line outside the store. The wait to order was around 20 minutes and another 10 for our food so not bad. The store is quite small, and there is not much space inside. Most people wait outside for their order and try to find seating. It is outdoor seating, first come first serve. You may be standing a while before you can claim a table. The employees are nice and took our order quickly. I got the croissantwich ($12), which was a solid break fast sandwich. It wasn't totally amazing but did its job and was enjoyable. My boyfriend got the original ($11.50) breakfast sandwich, and he enjoyed it as well. It was served on their famous english muffin which was indeed great. We also got the model wrap ($14.50) to go for a snack later, and that was really good. The best item we ordered and a great snack after getting tipsy from the wine tours. The cinnamon roll was alright, a little too firm for my liking. The vanilla latte was good, pretty standard. Overall, this bakery is practically a landmark in Napa. Very popular, and everyone that comes up here goes. Everything was satisfactory! We'd come back again to try the english muffin on its own. I don't think we tasted its full potential with the sandwich. It's really nothing special, but definitely give this place a try.
