The Best Korean Restaurants In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Everything coming out of the kitchen at this busy Lynnwood restaurant is a multi-stage Sizzle Fest with sauce glazes you could wax a sports car with. Make sure kimchi pancakes hit your table with their delicately crispy edges, along with the tteok-bokki, where rice cakes and silky noodles are a power couple absorbing all that subtly spicy tomato sauce. Modoo is a great place for a birthday dinner, but any night that involves their tasty entrees is cause for singing." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, carlo mantuano, gabe guarente

Modoo Restaurant - Review - Lynnwood - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Tucked into a Lynnwood strip mall are homestyle Korean dishes well worth the trip up I-5. On weekends, Modoo Restaurant's buzzing dining room is packed with families and couples sharing large, steaming hot plates from a menu that resembles those "choose your fighter" video game screens. Everything coming out of the kitchen is a multi-stage Sizzle Fest with sauce glazes you could wax a sports car with. Make sure kimchi pancakes hit your table with their delicately crispy edges, along with the tteok-bokki, where rice cakes and silky noodles are a power couple absorbing all that subtly spicy tomato sauce. This is a great place for a birthday dinner, particularly if you nab a table in the back room. But any night that involves Modoo’s tasty entrees is cause for celebration." - Gabe Guarente

The Best Asian Noodles in Seattle

"Modoo Banjeom in Lynnwood (with a second location in Bothell) is a noodle house that offers a variety of Korean-Chinese specialties. Silky, chewy, wheat noodles feature in a few versions of jjamppong, with the classic seafood version sporting a slightly spicy and smoky broth from gochugaru chili powder. Also popular is jajangmyeon, in which the noodles are topped with stir-fried pork and fermented black bean sauce. This is also a place to try yangjangpi as a shared starter, a refreshing platter of chewy potato starch noodles, seafood, and vegetables that get mixed with a spicy mustard sauce." - Jay Friedman

Where to Get Knockout Korean Food in the Seattle Area

"Modoo is a popular Lynnwood destination for Korean food with a homey feeling and friendly service. The seafood pancake is thick and yet crispy, an excellent choice as a starter. Popular dishes here include any of the kalbijjim (short rib stew) options, cold pork trotter (served with spicy peanut mustard sauce), and army stew (a mixed meat hot pot with kimchi and vegetables), but don’t overlook the jjusami: stir-fried seasoned webfoot octopus, pork belly, and vegetables. Leave a little on the plate for your server to take back to the kitchen to incorporate into a nori-topped fried rice." - Jay Friedman, Eater Staff

This is a local Korean spot in Lynnwood. We tried the bossam (steamed pork) - I really liked how they bring out the meat and you cook it at your table. The pork was sliced thickly and it tasted great with the fresh garlic and bean paste. Also tried the galbi tang. The portion size was good - there were 3 large pieces of galbi in the soup. I really liked the rice here. While it’s the classic Korean purple and white rice, it was cooked really well. It had a nice, chewy texture to it. I also liked the banchan here too - pretty standard, but it tasted fresh and you can also for refills. *update - would also recommend the beef galbi here. The galbi was amazing!! Would recommend making a trip out here for the food!

A Hidden Gem of True Korean Comfort It’s not every day I give out a perfect five stars, but Modoo Restaurant earns it with quiet confidence and genuine craftsmanship. This is the kind of place that reminds you why Korean cuisine resonates so deeply—soulful, aromatic, and comforting to the very last bite. Ambiance – 5/5 Warm and inviting, Modoo captures the essence of a true neighborhood Korean restaurant. The space feels intimate without being cramped, and the hum of conversation pairs perfectly with the sizzle and aroma from the kitchen. Authenticity – 5/5 Every dish reflects thoughtful execution and traditional Korean roots. From the perfectly seasoned soups to the sizzling platters, each bite honors the depth and nuance of Korean home cooking. Flavor – 5/5 Each plate arrived piping hot and beautifully balanced—rich in flavor yet never overly salty. The dishes had that signature Korean aroma that’s hard to replicate: a delicate balance of spice, umami, and warmth that lingers pleasantly. Service – 5/5 Service here is top-notch—attentive, welcoming, and genuine. The staff seemed to take pride in ensuring every guest felt looked after, enhancing the entire dining experience. Cost – 5/5 Considering the generous portions and quality of food, Modoo offers incredible value. Every dish felt thoughtfully priced, making this one of those rare finds where you leave full, happy, and impressed. Final Thoughts: Modoo Restaurant stands out as one of the most authentic Korean dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Everything—from the piping-hot dishes to the heartfelt service—spoke of care and quality. A must-visit for anyone craving honest, flavorful Korean cuisine.

So happy we stumbled upon Moodoo after a brew at Peace of Mind brewery next door. We were served tea immediately as we sat down which we really enjoyed. After figuring out the ordering screen at the table we ordered two dishes and some rice balls. The dishes came quickly along with sides we didn't expect (we were rookies here) including more rice. Both of the dishes we ordered were delicious and large in size. The sides were all cold which surprised us a little, but again rookies. The tea kept on coming and the service was very friendly. All around a great experience.

Google
Highly recommend this place! There so much variety in their Korean food and it was all delicious! This place is pretty busy and often has a wait on the weekends, so you may want to get there early. My favorite item was the pork bulgogi. Some of the best I’ve had. Their side dishes were also well-made and balanced the entrees nicely. The kimchi pancake is LARGE. Like the size of a medium pizza. We also really enjoyed the ordering experience. Each table has a tablet that you order from. Staff is constantly bringing out food and refilling beverages, etc.

Google
One of my favorite restaurants! I come here about 3–4 times a month, and the food has always been really good. The place is usually busy, which shows how popular it is. Definitely worth coming back again.

Google
Food never disappoints here. The galbi jjim is excellent and full of meat. The seafood pancake is also fresh and crispy but not overly oily. The soft tofu soup really satisfies and spicy jokbal is cooked to perfection. The portions are huge for the size and if you only have a party of 2, expect to bring home left overs if you order 2 meats. The waitlist can get long on weekends. They have a giant TV that plays kpop music on repeat as a vibe - not sure how I feel about that. Otherwise it’s a solid restaurant worth driving over to from Seattle or Bellevue downtown.

Google
One of the best authentic Korean restaurants in the greater Seattle area. One of my family favorites in which we have frequented numerous times and the food has never disappointed. Fridays and Saturdays are busy with a longer wait but definitely worth it. Very nice presentation and attention to detail with delicious banchan dishes. I would personally recommend the spicy tofu soup and seafood bibimbap. :)

Google
The takeout I ordered was beef and tofu soup. The tofu was very soft and silky, the broth had just the right amount of spice, and everything was packed neatly in a clean container. The flavors were rich and comforting, and I enjoyed it so much that I’d say this restaurant is definitely in my personal Top 3 for Korean food. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Yelp
Never been to a Korean BBQ place where you dont cook your own meat. This spot had a long line and I totally understand why. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the dishes came out in quicker succession than expected. The pork belly was perfectly crisped and tender at the same time. Savory galbi, loved the toasted rice in the dolsot bibimbap, and the veggie pancake was light. Casual ambiance, suitable for families, date night, dinner with friends, and any other time you're hungry. Also kinda liked I didn't smell like cooked meat when we left.

Yelp
I took my friend here for her birthday brunch last month on a Sunday. We met there right after the restaurant opened at 11am and were able to get a table easily. You order from a tablet at your table. The place is pretty roomy and spacious. There were K-pop videos playing on a large screen. We ordered the Japchae to start which are glass noodles with vegetables and beef. It was tasty but I got only one small piece of beef. For $17, I expected more. I ordered the Grilled Mackerel that comes with Banchan (assorted appetizers/little sides) and rice. It was fried perfectly. Definitely a winning dish. It was a large fish so I took some home. My friend ordered the Soft Tofu Stew (spicy) with Beef and she liked it. It was a generous dish and she took some home. Staff were super friendly and very efficient. The vibe here is upbeat and relaxed. Overall, I had a great experience and my friend enjoyed her birthday brunch. I will be back to try more dishes in the future!

Yelp
Once you ger seated, you order your food through an ipad. Simple and easy. Price will be a little more expensive but great portion size to share with friends and family. The tteokbokki was huge! Honestly one of the biggest tteokbokki appetizers I've ever been served. Definitely go for the version with cheese. It usually comes with glass noodles sitting at the bottom, which adds a really nice texture and makes the dish feel even more satisfying. Highly recommend this dish if you love tteokbokki with a twist! The spicy pork bulgogi here is absolutely fantastic. The meat is tender, perfectly marinated, and has just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Each bite has a rich depth of flavor, and the portion size is generous. Paired with purple rice and six side dishes. The Korean grilled mackerel was decent, and it was a good portion size and the fish was cooked well, with a nice crispy skin. However, the flavor was a bit too fishy for my taste, even with the seasoning. It's a solid option if you really enjoy strong seafood flavors, but it wasn't my favorite dish on the menu. Remember spines and bones are still attached so be careful when eating it.

Yelp
Nice variety of Korean dishes on their menu and each order can be customizable as well from spice level to the type of protein. Their tofu soup was perfect for a cold, rainy day. I think spice is slightly lower than expected. As someone who has a low spice tolerance I think I could've gone for a regular! Their jjusami was the perfect shareable size for 4 people. We even took home leftovers because there was so much. Service was attentive. Frequently coming by to refill hot tea and water along with making sure everything tasted ok.

Yelp
I live in Federal way (where I would argue has a pretty competitive korean food scene to lynnwood) but I think Modoo is my favorite korean restaurant to date. Had been hearing about it for sometime and finally got to go, the hype was real for me! It hit all the marks for me in terms of a cozy, wooden interior + clean space + ample customers, and most importantly, really delicious traditional food! We did go during off peak hours so I'm sure the wait gets long but thankfully we got seated right away for an early dinner. Gamja tang was so good, I'd get it again but now I wanna try all the other dishes first. The side dishes were all flavorful and complemented each other well. Can't wait to make the trek to Modoo again!

Yelp
We came on Friday around 4:15 PM, just after it opened at 4, so there was no line and we were able to park right in front of the store. We ordered using a tablet, and the food came out quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken wings, Bossam, and Seol-Long-Tang were all absolutely delicious! The restaurant was spacious and clean, with some private rooms available. I know they usually have long lines during peak dinner hours, so I was glad we got to enjoy our meal while it was still quiet. Overall, great food and great value!

Yelp
I got to revisit Modoo this past weekend and I was reminded just how good the food was here. It is definitely the best Korean restaurant in the area. The place is always packed with people for a reason and I love that it feels like a neighborhood gem. They have an electronic ordering system for each table, so you can just place your order right when you sit down. I got to try the Jjusami with cheese fried rice, mixed soondubu, galbitang, and seafood pancake which was plenty of food to feed 4. The jjusami was so flavorful and pairs perfectly with rice. It's $50, but is definitely meant to be shared between at least 3 people. Their seafood pancake is so perfectly crispy. I'd definitely get it everytime I come back. They also give out free barely tea, and the service is attentive enough to refill it throughout the meal. I still do think the restaurant as a whole is a little pricey, but I'll definitely continue to visit.

Yelp
This is one of my go to spots when I am craving Korean food. The service is always top-notch. The ambience is not as bright but has a bunch of tables and it's very spacious. They recently added a tablet to each table so that the customers can place their own orders through the app. The app, itself is a bit confusing if you have never used it before at Modoo. Once you placed your order through the app, a waiter will come and bring the Banchans and drinks, etc. I love the banchans that they provide here. It all tastes fresh and made in house. We ordered appetizers to start. We ordered the seafood pancake, vegetable pancake, and one order of fried dumplings. All the appetizers came out hot and crispy. I would highly recommend these pancakes to share with the table. For entrées, we opted out to ordering our own. I ordered the sondobu tofu soup with beef (mild) and short ribs to share. The entrées come with purple rice. My favorite is the sondobu tofu because it's so flavorful and delicious. The short ribs are really good as well and flavorful.

Yelp
My favorite Korean restaurant in Lynwood area. A must go whenever we go to the premium outlets. Everything is so authentic and the portions are big. My family always leave with extremely satisfying bellies!

Yelp
I have heard of Modoo in Lynnwood for a long time. It is one of the OG Korean places that are frequented by Koreans and East Asians alike. Arriving at about 7:30, I learned the hard way that there is always a wait -- so hungry... They are sooooo popular. Luckily, staying in the waiting area and not giving up helped. Other parties on the waitlist did not return, so the wait reduced from an estimate of 45 min to an hour down to 30 min. Quite reasonable. On the day I went, I heard more Mandarin and Cantonese than Korean spoken in the restaurant. Towards the back, they have a semi-private area to handle a large party. Food is ordered via a tablet. Service and food were swift once we had a table. They refilled water and banchan expeditiously. The server team worked very well collaborating across tables. I was plenty impressed watching their dynamic and gave positive feedback to the manager. Other than the table and the ordering tablet being a bit sticky, it was an excellent meal with fair prices and good service. The Food: LA Kalbi, $32 - 5 Stars This is hubby's favorite Korean meat dish. Theirs is served sizzling on a hot platter. The pieces are meaty and generous for the price. He was hungry and polished off all the food. Chicken Wings, 6 pc, $10 - 4.5 Stars I wasn't planning to order wings, but when I saw they are charging $10 for six pieces. I was like - sign me up! Their "spicy" is the typical yangnyeom flavor - sweet and spicy. Excellent wings and well flavored. Seafood Pancake, $22 - 4.5 Stars Their version is a little uglier than others, not quite rounded. I rather like the imperfect look to show it was hand made to order. I also prefer extra crispy and brown toasty edges. Theirs fit the bill. Packed with scallions, squid, and shrimps, and more, this was a satisfying haemul pajeon. Soft Tofu Stew with Seafood, $17 - 4 Stars Soft pillowy tofu and plenty of seafood are delivered simmering, bubbling in broth. My odd complaint - there wasn't that much tofu in this bowl. With so much broth and plenty of other food ordered, I took most of this home and made two more meals by adding soft tofu. Still a winner. Banchan, $0, refillable - 5 Stars For the true Korean food eaters, banchan makes or breaks a meal. Side dishes are the unspoken queen of the meal offering varying flavors to complement the hot bubbling soups or sizzling meats. They offer six varieties - spinach, radish, potato salad, kimchi, fish cakes, and acorn jelly (a rare offering in restaurants but common in households). They were all well prepared and delicious. Yum.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. One of the best Korean food we have tried. Expect wait time. We waited around 30 mins to be seated. Once seated they are pretty fast in getting the food over to you. We got their Tteokbokki and Seafood Hotpot. Both the dishes were very good with good portion size. The highlight of this restaurant is their friendly staff and great service. The place is usually crowded mainly due to the good food. Overall definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in the area and we will definitely visit again.

Yelp
I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here. Standouts include the seafood pancake, army stew, and octopus stir fry. The pancake is stuffed full with filling and crispy + delicious dipping sauce, the army stew gave us enough leftovers for 2 days, and the octopus is special bc they use whole tiny octopus. The banchan spread is also solid. Service is good despite it always being busy. My favorite Korean spot in the Seattle area

Yelp
Was this delicious? Absolutely. Was it pricey? Also yes. Speed and service? Great. We ordered the Kalbi jjim which was $75, and added on the cheese & rice (+$6) as well. It was accompanied by a variety of side dishes. The quality of the food was amazing. The kalbi meat fell off the bone. The sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, loaded with a number of veggies like sweet potato, squash, mushrooms, and some ddeokboki. For the price, I'll admit I assumed the portion size would be double. But the quality is undisputed. After finishing the meat and veggies, they use the sauce to stir in the rice and top it with cheese. The cheese + rice was 100% worth the add on. My only (small) gripe is that I wish the side dishes were delivered before the main dish so we could enjoy them while we waited. We arrived on Friday night around 7:30pm. Our table was ready by around 8pm with 2 steaming cups of corn silk tea and a sippy cup of water for our baby. We ordered on the tablet ordering system on the table, and food arrived at 8:20pm. The staff was extremely efficient and quick to respond when we called them via tablet. When I asked why the Kalbi jjim was so expensive, they shared that the dish uses an expensive cut of meat and is originally a "fancy" dish in Korea. I'm excited to come back to try another dish next time!

Yelp
Foods were amazing! We ordered Jjusami with cheese topping (extra $3) and added cheese fried rice (+$6) after finishing our Jjusami. I can confidently say this place wins first place among all the Korean restaurants nearby! Highly recommend! Just a heads-up--there might be a long wait during peak hours. You'll need to go to the restaurant to put your name on the waitlist, so make sure to come early. The servers were super kind and helpful, always there when we needed something.

Yelp
Modoo is a popular Korean spot located in Lynwood with a large shared parking lot, which is always a plus. I went for dinner on a Friday night and waited about ~20 ish minutes for a table. They only have tables for 4, so it isn't any faster of a wait even if you have a small party. Pricing wise, it's a little steep, but standard for Korean food, though I heard from a friend that even just a year ago the prices were a lot lower. You order everything via an iPad and you can even request side refills and extra napkins through it, though they do have plenty of staff walking around and happy to help. Spicy Kalbi Jjim w/ Cheese (4.25/5): Be warned, this will drop you an eye popping $75 and will feed 2 people. Cheese is an extra $3, which is a little steep, but a must-have for this dish though I would have liked even more of it. Overall, I was really impressed with the flavor of the sauce, definitely one of my favorites. The meat could definitely be a bit more tender, which is why the score isn't higher. Vegetables were all a bit too firm and needed to be cooked just tad more.

Daniel H.

Yelp
My wife and I were craving authentic Korean food and from what I read online, this is the place to go. We went a bit crazy and ordered the Spicy Fried Chicken Wings, Soft Tofu Soup, Stone Pot Bibimbap, Kimchi Pancake, Beef Bulgogi, and Jjusami (we ended up with tons of leftovers..) The service was great, but the food was just OK. The only items we felt we would really order again were the chicken wings and tofu soup; everything else was good but nothing special. The bibimbap and kimchi pancake were a bit bland, definitely lacking in flavor until they were drenched in Gochujang. The Jjusami was good, but pretty monotonic in flavor. The Bulgogi was good but the beef was a bit tough. Honestly, if it weren't for the prices being so steep (especially for a place that's out in the suburbs), I would probably give another star, but these prices felt like they warranted much better quality than what we got. Next time we'll stick to Kimchi House in Ballard which is closer, more affordable, and tastier.

Yelp
My friends and I went here yesterday around 6:30, and fortunately, there was no wait, so we could sit right away. We ordered the gopchang hot pot, and I absolutely loved it. The portion was generous, perfect for three people to share. There was also a good amount of gopchang, and it wasn't too salty or bland; it was just right. We added udon, which was fabulous and paired perfectly with the gopchang hot pot. I'd say this restaurant never disappoints. I've tried the Gamja hot pot and bossam here before, and they were both excellent. The ambiance was clean, and I loved the music they played! it wasn't too loud and was just right:) The restroom was also very clean. The service was great as well. They were friendly and attentive! The service was great, the food was fabulous, and the ambiance was good. I'll definitely come back to try other items!

Yelp
Was driving down from Anacortes after whale watching and was unsure of what to eat. Saw this restaurant on Yelp and was very unsure at first, but I cannot believe how amazing this place is. Visiting from Southern California I didn't think this restaurant would live up to the expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Food came out quickly and steaming hot. Everything was delicious. The wings were exceptional. My favorite was the spicy beef soup. Service here is amazing all of their employees are extremely tentative. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. It is busy, but every area is fully staffed. Way better than the typically ayce Korean bbq. The quality of each dish is prepared to perfection. Please give this location a try it will not disappoint.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Thanks to Yelp, we got to experience this place. First of all, this restaurant is so clean and high tech! You can do all your ordering through their tablet at each table. We were even able to request more napkins through the tablet. Bathroom was even crazy clean with no clutter (which I expected from your typical korean restaurant). We ordered the 6 piece chicken wings, japchae & beef bulgogi. Banchan came with everything of course. Banchan was on the simple side, nothing really stood out. But the japchae was amazing and tasted so fresh. The wings could have been more crispier, but flavor was amazing! Slighty spicy and sweet. The bulgogi was a decent amount with jalapenos! How unique and tasted amazing. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
Almost didn't want to post this review to try and gatekeep this place because it's just THAT good. Best Korean restaurant in the area, no question about it. If you come on a Friday for dinner or a weekend, expect to wait a while but it's totally worth it! Servers are super quick and efficient, always excellent service. We always order seafood pancake, which is massive, and tofu stew. Both dishes accompanied by banchan were more than enough for 2 people. The space inside is large and inviting. Parking is in the lot outside, which is shared with other businesses in the plaza.

Yelp
The sauce in the galbijim is really good, a bit pricy but I really like this place. I would love to give a detailed analysis of the seolleongtang but unfortunately I date a terr orrist who turned our soup black with pepper.

Yelp
Wow,it's more than expectation! We waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. No ore rooms at the waiting room. We ordered marinated pork Kalbi, pork jokbal, and seafood pancake.crispy, mild along with side dipping sauce and rice. Also satisfied with quick and timely services!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place since FOREVER and finally got the chance to do so on a Saturday for lunch. When we arrived, we were 7th on the waitlist and ultimately ended up waiting around 30 minutes or so before getting seated at our table. Keep in mind they close the waitlist early to make sure they can close for lunch in time. We ordered the jjusami (pork belly and octopus), fried chicken (spicy and original), tteokkbokki with ramen, and bossam to split amongst 5 people. This ended up being so much food but we were able to take some leftovers home. All of it was absolutely fantastic and delicious - my favorite dish was definitely the jjusami as the sauce was so savory sweet and the pork was so yummy. There were also plenty of veggies in it too! The bossam was my next favorite, as the pork was so tender and juicy and the cabbage wrap was fantastic with all the additions. The tteokkbokki was exactly as expected, and the chicken was just decent too. I liked the spicy one, but not the original as much. I'd definitely recommend the jjusami and bossam if you come here! The banchan were all also really good. Be prepared for a wait, but the food is so delicious!

Yelp
I've been coming here several times already. Went on a Friday around 5, and it was easy to get a table for two. I love their Jjusami and soft tofu stew. Never goes wrong with those, both are so tasty! The side dishes are also great. The service is great and very attentive. Kalbi Jim is okay. Tasty, but I wish it was softer as it's a bit hard to chew and cut with a spoon and fork. I prefer the version at Daeho. They've also nearly doubled the price from last year, but still a great place overall.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dining experience at Modoo - food was authentic, staff was nice, and the seating (we got the table with partitions) was very comfy. We ordered the tofu stew, oxtail soup, and fried dumplings, and every dish was spot on. The oxtail soup was my favorite -- hearty, comforting, and full of tender meat. The broth was simmered for hours, which is incredibly satisfying. It's not too flavorful so they it also comes with salt and pepper for those who prefers a stronger taste. The tofu stew with seafood was rich and flavorful, packed with plenty of ingredients, while the tofu was soft. We also ordered fried dumplings, which were slightly underwhelming but not bad as an appetizer to start off our meal. Overall, I loved the food and the dining experience, it's definitely one of the more authentic Korean spots in PNW.

Yelp
There were 3 of us and we ordered 2 dishes: * Jjusami: Both the octopus and pork belly were well-cooked. They put a lot of bean-sprouts, more than I like just because they make the sauce a little bland * Gopchang Hotpot: The beef intestine wasn't stinky like we thought. Broth was flavorful. Both sound expensive but the portions were actually huge. I didn't have either of the dish before and enjoyed them a lot. I just wish they were a little bit more spicy but I understand not everyone can eat like me :D. Service was attentive and banchan selection was also great.

Yelp
Worth driving over an hour to eat here! Wonderful and flavorful Korean dishes served here. Our group of four tried three of the dishes. My favorite was the beef short ribs served like a roast with super tender and juicy meat and a deep rich spicy sweet flavored sauce. Comes with pumpkin, baked potatoes, and carrot slices. Also had a steamed/boiled pork served in thin slices that you eat as cabbage wraps and an octopus and spicy pork dish. Modern interior, this place was busy! We called ahead and got a reservation and despite being busy the service was good. Portion size is huge, we ordered way too much food but brought it home to eat later. Well worth the trip!

Yelp
I came here out of Friday night at Peak dinner time 630 pm, but there was plenty of seating and I was able to get a table of four right away. Employees were really friendly and kind and constantly checked in on us and I think that ordering the combo was perfect, we got to try the spicy jjamppong, and I would recommend the jjajang platter over the classic bowl because I feel like the seafood enhances the sauce. Everything was seasoned really well, and there was plenty of parking in front, it was just a little hard to go in the entrance because it has a small turning point but other than that, I would come again!

Yelp
At last, finally made it to this place. It's a bit farther up in Lynnwood so don't really get to get around this area, but many people rave about this place and there were lots of people waiting around for a table so it confirms that it must be good! You order from an ipad thing, I would order less than you expect because all the side dishes and purple rice can fill you up. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Yelp
One of the best Korean restaurants in the Seattle area! Be prepared for a long wait, we came on a Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm and waited for at least 40 minutes before being seated. If you come to the restaurant any later than that, you will likely arrive too late. They closed the waitlist soon after we put our names down. We got the Modoo Bossam and kimchi pancake. This was soooo much food for two people, the bossam itself was way bigger than it looked in the menu photo. Everything tasted amazing and I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Modoo is easily my favorite Korean spot in the area. I usually get the mackerel and soondubu combo, and it never disappoints--the stew is rich and comforting, and the mackerel is always perfectly cooked. The banchan are super tasty and a great addition to the meal. The service is friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean, and the food always hits the spot. If you're craving Korean food, this is the place to go!

Yelp
amazing!! this is such a great spot for groups!! the portions are huge here, i definitely recommend coming in groups of 4 or more. the modoo bossam is big enough for 3-4 people to eat (we had so many leftover for party of 2) and tteokbokki is the best i've had in washington state! i really liked the convenience of ordering on ipad and requesting for staff on there. the staff was fast and efficient.. great service on sat 6/29/25 lunch.

Yelp
A top tier korean restaurant! The food portions are huge so beware of that when ordering. The seafood pancake was really crispy and the jokbal was extremely well cooked. There was plenty of tasty bonchon too -- I really liked their tiny fish one. The pork belly was probably the most underwhelming one, but I think the simplicity and execution deserves merit. I thought the service was friendly and efficient. They also have plenty of seating inside and weren't that packed when I went in the afternoon.

Yelp
In short Huge menu, exceptionally good ingredients, a little more expensive than some spots as a result, huge dining room and STILL always a line out the door. In long This isn't the most sumptuous stretch of 99, but the affordable real estate has drawn in tons of great restaurants in between all the car dealerships and strip malls. You can barely see Modoo until you're practically on top of it, but that's not to say it's tough to find. There's just a bunch of landscaping out front blocking the sign. You could be forgiven for not realizing how great a restaurant there is in a building like this. It's one of those tilt-up office-park-type things that looks like they built it as inexpensively as possible. It's nice as soon as you're inside, though. Big bustling dining room with more rooms off to the side. Tons of booths, tons of tables, tons of families, tons of people overall. You check in on a kiosk and it texts you when you're on deck for the next table, then they call you and guide you back. We were extraordinarily lucky to wait only 10 minutes at 1:30 in the afternoon. At least 5 more parties came in after us. The menu isn't the longest ever, but there are several dozen choices, many of which you can order with different proteins or starches. No kbbq or kfc, no sullungtang, but otherwise you have pretty much everything you want to eat at a Korean place. Every ingredient and technique is taken to the absolute top tier in every dish we tried, so you can definitely splurge on a fancier, pricier meal here, especially if everybody wants to try lots of things. And you definitely have to share here. The tables are extra wide to make room for all the plates. Family style all the way. Banchan Nice mix of fairly conventional and even seemingly somewhat Americanized dishes along with some interesting and funky flavors. 100 year wine Worth repeats, reasonably priced, delicious and funky. Chicken wings Ordered spicy, next time I'm asking if they can go spicier. Absolutely delicious. We started to say they were worth the visit all on their own, and somebody at the next table said literally the same thing at the same time. Soft tofu soup Probably as good as any I've had anywhere. We ordered a mix of beef, kimchi, and seafood, and the brininess of the seafood might be better left out next time. Comes out at a roaring boil, after your server already dropped off a raw egg that you add right away. Fun! Jjusami $44 for multiple servings worth of food. Thinly-sliced pork belly, no excess of fat, thankfully. Nice chewy squid ("webfoot octopus"). Awesome huge flavors. They will turn the extra broth into fried rice if you like. Seafood pancake I haven't tried every single one of these in town, but I dunno how you could make a better one. Beautifully tender octopus, tons of other sea proteins, all sparkling fresh and flavorful. They have a huge staff here, I think 4 people visited just our table with all the different dishes and orders. Everything comes out when it's ready, so they just keep hitting you with food. Every single ingredient we tasted seemed like they were getting the best of everything--never even the slightest hint of off flavor or unwelcome chewiness or anything. Generous portions, all cooked exactly to temp and seasoned with great balance and explosive flavors. This kind of caring attention to detail costs a little more than many of the more-informal spots around town. It's so, so worth it. And this has to be one of the most-packed restaurants I've seen in a while, aside from maybe a place across the street from a big event or something like that. There's a reason there's always a line out the door. You gotta check it out.

Yelp
We have been here several times. We try to come at odd hours to avoid the lines. Like 4-5pm on Friday. The food is always good and the service is very good. If you like Korean food give it a try. I loved their spicy wings. A good mixture of a little sweet and spicy.

Yelp
We came here got in right at opening on Saturday to not have to wait. For four people, we ordered the spicy beef kalbijjim and jjusami. We added the cheese to our kalbijjim but not our jjusami. Modoo was our go to for spicy kalbijjim before Daeho from SF opened in Bellevue and after coming back to try it here I definitely prefer Daeho's better even though this one is cheaper. Some differences when compared to Daeho is that there's giant shiitake mushrooms in it and at Daeho you can add vegetables and glass noodles. Nevertheless, the kalbijjim is still decent. Jjusami was pretty good but a bit salty. In hindsight I wouldn't order these two dishes together again because their flavor profile is very similar. I also should have mixed in the bean sprouts up top because they're not flavored. I enjoyed the texture of the squid in this dish and wouldn't mind eating this dish again. The Banchan as always is spot on and the servers are constantly doing rounds to check up on you. If I had to guess, we were asked if everything was all right at least 15 times at minimum during our meal Leftovers the next day still tasted great. Overall a good experience and still a solid option for Korean comfort food in Lynnwood

Yelp
I had a great meal here! We ordered the spicy stir fried pork belly and octopus mild (5/5 would get again), beef soondubu (4/5 quite nice and flavorful with really silky soft tofu) and their seafood pancake (5/5 would get again, perfectly crispy and not soggy). Service was friendly. Great for big groups - quite busy even at 2pm!

Yelp
Mmm mmm good! Loved everything we tried. We had takeout so I can't comment on service or ambiance. The standout dish is definitely kimchi soup. The veggie pancake was huge and crispy, it's like a whole pizza! Beef bulgogi was juicy and flavorful. I found it interesting that it's served with forbidden rice and not white. I wonder if there's an option to substitute for those who prefer white rice? Prices are comparable to other Korean places. Portions make up for the price. I would definitely want to try more dishes here :)

Yelp
I came here with a couple friends for a late dinner at 8pm, and we waited a few minutes before getting seated. They had complimentary hot tea which I really enjoyed, and the menu was quite extensive. Even though it was late at night, the restaurant was still pretty busy with other diners. My friends and I shared the army stew and a plate of pork belly. I thought they had huge portions for reasonable prices. This was my first time eating army stew. I definitely would not be able to finish the army stew by myself, but I think I could finish it with one other person and the option to bring back any leftovers. I loved the mushrooms and tteokbokki in the army stew, and it was the perfect dinner for a chilly night. The pork belly was so yummy, and I appreciated how juicy and flavorful the meat was. The banchan had a nice variety of different flavors and textures of food, which I enjoyed. The service was great, and they were able to help us out with the flame underneath the army stew when the stove wasn't lighting up. I had a great experience at Modoo, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
- Great food and service - We came here with our friends around 11 am and got a seat right away. The restaurant was around 65% full when we came, and there were people waiting in the lobby around 11:30 am. They set the table as soon as we sat down, and hot barley tea was served promptly. I really like the design of the double sided menu since it's simple yet straightforward without too much stress on the brain. They also have their 10 (most popular) dishes with pictures that we appreciate. We ordered up ordering A2 japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), M5 Modoo Bossam (house special boiled pork belly), and S7 Gamja hotpot (spicy pork backbone soup with potato). Our order comes with 4 bowls of rice, so I guess both M5 and S7 are considered large dishes, which is meant for 2 people each. The side dishes came quickly and they were delicious. I enjoyed the acorn jelly, which is a less common side dish to find in the Korean restaurants that I visit more frequently in Bellevue. The kimchi, on the other hand, was just okay in my opinion. The M5 Modoo Bossam came first and it was delicious. The jalapeno and garlic definitely makes the taste more complex, and for once I was enjoying the ssamjang as well. I usually skip those but I think the wrap tastes better with it. The thing is though, they didn't give us enough napa cabbage to make the wraps, so that was a shame. The pork bellies don't taste that good by themselves when compared to kbbq pork belly, but I think adding them in the soup might be a good idea. A2 japchae was good as well, but it's really a safe dish that can't go wrong even in the comfort of your home when you cook it yourself (unless your soy sauce is expired???). S7 Gamja hotpot was huge, and it's on par with other Korean restaurants. I ate the meat and potato without the soup, and I think there is not much taste for the potato given it's a huge cut. So make sure to scoop some soup and eat your potato with it. Overall I enjoyed the dining experience, and the service was good that our tea were refilled 3 times. I think their employee to customer ratio is higher than most places, so it was easy for us to wave someone down to get anything we need. Oh, and I think they spent more money on the bathroom. There was even a makeup station with mouth wash, and the sinks look fancy. We didn't end up finishing everything, so we grabbed leftover home. The total comes to around $32/person after tip, which is reasonable given most Korean restaurants charge $25 or so for a one person soup, plus we also ordered the japchae. When we stepped out around noon on Saturday, there were around 20 people waiting in the lobby. I'd recommend coming early or else you'd get stuck in the line.

Yelp
Modoo was a place whenever I crave for Korean. I visited at least 10times last year. But this visit has been a while since last. Rice was mushy and tteokbokki looked kind of old. It was just not what I used to get. Service was still good though.

Yelp
Easy 5/5. Ambience is warm and homey, and we felt well taken care of by the attentive staff. We were a little bit unsure of what to order but our server kindly recommended a few dishes that were all incredibly delicious! The galbijjim was a warm and comforting mix of sweet/spicy flavor, and the meat was super tender. The jokbal was seasoned tastefully and goes great with the sauces and a side of lettuce wrap (+$3). Seafood pancake had a nice crisp and was chock full of squid, green onions, and other veggies.

Yelp
It gets crazy busy here at dinner so prepare for a minimum 1 hour wait. The hotpot entrees are massive, one order is easily enough for 4 people. Be warned, if the menu indicates spicy, it is spicy! They come out boiling hot perfect. Banchan ~ fresh and good enough selection. Service was attentive and quick on the refills. Standard Korean beer & Makgeolli ~ pricey but a must with Korean food. No need to wear your Sunday best if you come peak dining ~ your clothes & breath will come out smelling like gochujang ;)

Yelp
Modoo has always been one of my favorite Korean restaurants since I moved to WA. We always visit this spot whenever we're in Lynwood. The ambiance is great, and they offer a variety of seating options. The food is excellent; we ordered Kalbi-Tang, La Kalbi, and seafood Bean Paste stew, they were absolutely delicious. Additionally, the service is top-notch. Everyone is amazing. Aaron, our server, did a fantastic job--very kind, patient, and responsive!

Yelp
It's everyone favorite Korean restaurant for a reason. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. My personal favorite is seafood pancake, bossam, and jjusami(make sure to add cheesy fried rice at the end). Their meats are tenders, spice level is balanced, and presentation is great. I just wish they had better banchan, although their fresh house made kimchee is the best I've had compared to any other restaurant. Service is friendly which is uncommon for most Korean restaurants. But expect some wait time during dinner, even on a week day. It is always crowded and loud despite the decent size.

Yelp
I came in later at night and this place was packed! I had requested to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. I was quickly seated. I tried the spicy pork. It was very flavorful and not very spicy in my opinion. Nonetheless it was tasty. I'd def recommend checking this place out at least once. Very friendly staff as well. Also I loved the complimentary herb infused hot water.

Yelp
What we ordered: Jjusami + Cheese Fried Rice, Modoo Bossam, & Kalbi-tang. There are so many delicious shareable dishes! My friend recommended we get the Jjusami which was stir fried octopus, pork belly, and vegetables in this slightly spicy but sweet sauce. We also added on the cheese fried rice for the end! The Modoo Bossam is boiled pork belly which was so tender. You have to make a little wrap for yourself with all the ingredients they provide, it's a party in your mouth. The soup was a nice palette cleanser in between everything we were eating. There was a wait, but the place was spacious. Surprisingly not bad of a wait on Friday evening the day we went, it wasn't long until we were sat down.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday for an early lunch. We randomly found this place on Google and was going to be in the area so we decided to check it out, given its high reviews. We thought the restaurant looked promising when we went in, as there was a wait and the tables were full. We ordered the 12 piece chicken wings with half original and half spicy and a beef tofu stew. We liked that they gave purple rice. The tofu stew came out first and we were excited but then disappointed. There wasn't too much filling inside and it wasn't very hot, so the egg that we put in when they first brought it out didn't actually cook. The chicken came out and we were excited but then the pieces felt so small and we were even more disappointed as they didn't taste like Korean fried chicken. The "spicy" sauce wasn't spicy and it tasted like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce. The original didn't have much flavor either. Everything was digital as every table had a tablet to order from. There wasn't much service, probably because they were so busy, but we didn't realize the button to ask for more side dishes and get more tea/water was all on the tablet either - it would have been nice if the servers proactively asked if we needed something more. We didn't feel great later on that day and considering it was the only thing we ate, we're not sure if maybe something in the food wasn't the cleanest or what went wrong. We wanted to like this place and are sad it turned out completely different.
