Came here for the mochi beignets and was disappointed. They didn’t have any flavor and couldn’t taste the matcha. The mango mochi was better and the strawberry matcha latte had good matcha flavor without being too overpowering. They also had a mango matcha latte but that wasn’t as good as the strawberry matcha latte. They don’t have much seating inside so if you come at a popular time, you might have a hard time finding a seat.

Google
I’d love to give more stars, but 5 is all they allow. Amazing customer service, delicious mochi snacks and an overall great vibe! The mochi beignets are incredible with delicious dipping sauces. We had yuzu and strawberry. The mango mochi was out of this world delicious, but I must say the customer service was extraordinary and unbeatable! Cannot wait to go back and try their other amazing menu items!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! We stopped by Pink Gorilla Games next door and needed a bite to eat after. We strolled in not knowing what to expect and we found a fantastic little Cafe with some of the best food we've had combined with amazing customer service! We ordered some Matcha along with a couple of sandwiches including tomato bisque with grilled cheese. Some of the best I've had. If you're visiting Vegas, please take the short trip off the strip and visit Moignet for a great meal experience!

Google
I finally came to try the moignets here, and wow it was fantastic. I got the yuzu dipping sauce as well. Eat it there cuz it's warm and fresh - I took it home and ate some later on, but it wasn't as good cuz the mochi hardened. I also got the mango mochi - MUST get! I got it without the cream and it was amazing. I also got the fruit sando with tangerines, and maybe cuz I went right when it opened, the bread was hard/not fresh. I recommend going when they open since it gets packed, and if you want that fruit sando, maybe ask if it's fresh or not.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Delicious Mango Mochi! Tried the mango mochi and it was so yummy! The soft, chewy Japanese mochi on the outside and the sweet, juicy mango on the inside made the perfect combo. Light, fresh, and not too sweet—just right! I loved it so much, I’m bringing some home to share with my mom. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tasty treat that’s a little different. You won’t regret it! 🥭🍡

Google
Quality seemingly franchise Japanese dessert cafe! We had the yuzu cheesecake & Mont Blanc (Sakura flavor) with iced roasted green tea. Order at front and they bring orders out to your chosen table. Service was good 😊 Self-serve water. 2 Clean restrooms. We also got to sample their famous Moigents (Mochi + Beigents).

Google
It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a light meal. The service is excellent. The café offers ample seating both indoors and outdoors. We sampled the moignet with chocolate syrup, the fruit (strawberry) sandwich, and the Jokoy's (egg) sandwich. We had a great experience and will certainly return when we are in the area.

Yelp
Out of towner Met up with some local friends and family. Order at the window then find a table to sit and eat. And when you are finished you clear your own dishes. The Moignets are soooo good. Yes this is the name of the Restaurant. Its their signature dish and If like mochi/ mochi donuts then Moignets will not disappoint! Its a beignets filled with mochi. It comes dusted w powdered sugar and is accompanied w 3 dipping sauces. Chocolate, lemon and strawberry. The Japanese style Sandos were all good. I selected the Pork Belly Sando. It arrived on the fluffiest and thick Bread. The pork belly had a great char surrounded by a nicely cooked egg, sun dried tomato and some Japanese mayo! Others ordered the curry sando, tomato bisque w grilled cheese / on the fluffy soft bread . I did not try these but my guests loved them. At the end, we shared a strawberry sando, which is common in Japan. Fresh strawberries and cream in between two soft pieces of bread!! This is a small place and a great place to meet friends and have a lighter breakfast. Very cool vibe here. I highly recommend Moignets!

Yelp
This spot is cute, we walked by a few times and decide to come back to try it. I ordered earl grey milk tea which I think comes w/ a nice & light taste; however, if you like strong tea flavor, this isn't for you. Staff were nice and friendly.

Yelp
What a cute cafe!!! I'm a loyalist to Suzuya! I loved everything from their original place and I was ecstatic to see what this place was about! I came here for breakfast and got the jokoy sandwich. It was quickly made and ready to go when I ordered it. It was HUGE! It was an egg omelet with their delicious homemade bread! (Their homemade bread is my favorite) The sandwich was topped off with ketchup and mayo! This part - I do have to say was a bit too much. I honestly wanted it to be spread evenly throughout. I didn't except a pile of it on top but it look good for presentation. The egg was perfectly cooked. I added ham on mine but to the side. It all tasted delicious, just messy with the ketchup and mayo on top! I also for the banana foster mochi which was amazing!!!! I could eat plenty of these! Mochi was fresh! I didn't think it would taste good with banana foster but I kept open mind since I love both! Great combination! Now I now I should have tried the beignets but it's alot for the morning! I have to come back and try again! Service was great! Staff were nice and quick! Ambiance- very chill! I like the covered outdoor patio. What happened to the pick up sandwich area??? I wish that was available...I like having ready sandwiches to go like suzuya!

Yelp
Have you ever heard of a mochi beignet? Omg, this dessert is incredible! A friend recommended it to me and told me to check out Moignet. So, I made my way back to Chinatown, and the place was buzzing with activity. I waited about 15 minutes--not too bad--and the menu had plenty of tempting options, but I was there for one thing: the moignets! These warm, fluffy beignets came with my choice of dipping sauce, and each bite was absolute perfection with the chewy mochi inside. The contrast of crispy on the outside and soft, chewy goodness on the inside was just chef's kiss. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
Very tasty dessert cafe. This is a Japanese cafe that offers quick bites to eat. This places used to be called Suzuya. We tried the moignets, strawberry crepe, Grilled cheese, and macaroons. The moignet is essentially a green tea beignet with mochi filling. The strawberry crepe was so good. Not overly sweets it has cream, powdered sugar, and strawberry. The grilled cheese was good. The tomato soup was very lagre portion and not too heavy of tomato flavor. The yuzu lemonade is tasty. The yuzu green tea was tasty. A little on the sweet side so I watered it down with water. The macarons were all good. They were baked to perfection.

Yelp
We came here just to try the green tea moignets and it was so worth it. It was made fresh to order and took 15 minutes. Eat it while it's warm! We ordered 6 for $9 and I ate 4 by myself! Such a cool combo of a traditional beignets on the outside and mochi on the inside. It was fluffy like a pillow top. We bought all 3 dipping sauces for $5. The yuzu cream was the best with a tangy taste. Strawberry cream was sour like Yakult. The Choco hazelnut cream would go well with churros not moignets. We also got the banana cream crepe and strawberry banana crepe for $8 each. Those came out first in 10 minutes. We skipped out on hot sandos and drinks because we were on our way to breakfast. It's an open kitchen in the back and you could see them making the desserts. The decor is very earthy minimalistic and had tables inside and an outdoor patio.

Yelp
Social media marketing strikes again. The super fresh beignets were extremely tasty and we got the flight of dipping sauces and they were a great compliment as well. The chocolate and strawberry were my favorite. I also highly recommend the mocha latte. It was really good and had a very unique flavor. The service was very friendly and we love the outside patio too. We can't wait to go back. See you soon.

Yelp
We love Japanese food. Even went to Japan and savored their culinary creations. But we never thought that Japan excelled in desserts. Until now. Walking into Moignet, we were happy to see such beautiful desserts. Japanese culinary creations satisfy and feed the stomach, but they also please the eyes. There's beauty in everything. We were wondering why the name sound so French. It turns out it's a play of Mochi and Beignet. What this bakery has done is to create a beautiful combination --- beignet on the outside, mochi in the inside --- served with three different sauces: lemon, chocolate and strawberry. Because we were sitting with someone who is friends with the proprietor, we were able to taste various delights, some of which were garnished with edible flowers. We loved that the desserts were not overly sweet. But that's not all --- they have a wonderful selection of breakfasts and lunches. We were eyeing the orders that came by. Most definitely would want to try their truffle French toast, croque Madame, pork belly and egg, and more!

Yelp
Moignet, formerly Suzuya, is a cozy spot tucked into a corner of the mall. The sandos were perfectly crunchy and delicious, and the moignets were amazing when served hot (we've had them as takeout before, which wasn't quite the same, but still tasty). The vibe here is definitely different from the Suzuya location in the southwest. It feels more lively, likely due to its proximity to the Strip, which makes sense. However, there are fewer pastry options at this location, which was a bit of a letdown. Our server was really friendly (I believe she's the owner?). We were disappointed to learn that they no longer have the doggy menu with treats and pup cups. When we mentioned it, the owner kindly offered to make a little pup cup for our dog, which was a nice touch.

Yelp
We stopped by to try 6 Moignet after seeing their advertisement during a previous visit to a different food spot. There was a bit of a line, and it was busy, but the workers moved through customers quickly. While we didn't dine in, the option is available. The inside is nice, but it can get a little crowded feeling if the line is long and people are waiting for their orders. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our order, and we also grabbed the Yuzu Lemonade, which was super refreshing. The Moignet had a soft, mochi-like texture inside, and the matcha powder on the outside was delicious. I'd recommend eating it there for the best flavor. By the time we got home, we needed to give it a quick reheat. Definitely worth trying!

Yelp
Cute cafe on the corner with delicately made pastries, special sandos, and hand crafted drinks. The interior is so nice and even their water station container is cool in a water drop shape. Service was pretty quick and just take our number to our table. They also sell small cakes that are fluffy and light and "not too sweet" you know who you are, that we buy for birthdays and baby showers. Once it gets hotter, we'll be able to enjoy a cute breakfast in their shaded patio. They used to have a dog food item too so hope they bring that back for our lil Coco. Food: - Jokoys Sando - delicious egg breakfast sandwich with ketchup and cheese, def add ham or bacon to make it more filling - Moignet - perfect two-bite sized mochi beignets that comes in 6 or 12 pieces with 3 different dipping sauces - Banana foster mochi - I love anything with mochi so this was a yummy breakfast fruit pairing - Mochi Mont Blanc - luxurious chocolate light pastry with mochi that I looooved but for the price can only buy occasionally - Dubai Chocolate - thick pistachio chocolate bar which was so heavenly, it's in our fridge as we slowly savor each piece - Little pastries like fruit tart and cream puff are an absolute must try just for fun since they're so cute Drink: Any latte is good here and they do the barista latte heart with a heart on our mug - Matcha green tea iced with oat milk - THIS WAS AMAZING ABSOLUTELY MUST ORDER!!!

Yelp
Been a fan of Suzuya since their original location in the Southwest. Spacious location where Half-Bird was. Favorites for me are the BALT Crepe, Yuzu Panna Cotta, Mango Mochi and the Moignet s dusted with matcha powdered sugar. Service was quick and attentive, price point for items is justified. Great place for a quick bite and conveniently located in Chinatown. BALT Crepe was tasty as always, and every table had an order of moignets so that's a sign to try them if you haven't already!
google avatar

Yelp
Suzuya is now renamed to Moignet:A Social Cafe. Same food and service The mochi beignet is still a hit or miss for me. It's either really light and chewy or over cooked to where it is hard. They need to stay consistent.

Yelp
My family and I came here on New Year's Eve to try their Moignets. We ordered a dozen, half green tea and half original. When we got our order, it looked like it was all original. There was no green tea powder in sight so one of the of staff members brought it back to fix it. However, the staff member in the back just added more powdered sugar. When they brought it back to us, they said it was green tea... We all took a bite and it was nothing like the photos on Yelp or on their IG. Inside was pure white mochi and the batter of the beignet was also white and original. There was no green tea flavor at all. A few minutes later, an older lady came by and gave us green tea power to sprinkle it on. I mean it gave it that green tea flavor, but we were hoping to try the actual green tea Moignets. That was definitely a bummer. We didn't want to complain, and just kept with it. The Moignets that we had were okay. It tasted like a powdered sugar donut with a soft chewy mochi in the middle. Overall, I think the least they could have done was make a fresh batch of matcha Moignets for us.
google avatar

Janet T.

Yelp
I saw them advertise the matcha beignets on tik tok and instagram, which made me want to stop by when I was in town. We also got the sando to share and a side of hojicha latte. I will say they do a really good job advertising because the matcha beignets were just okay. It has a mochi texture in the middle and a thick donut outer layer. If the outer layer wasn't so thick, id come back for more. It tasted like a Chinese donut with a mochi center. The egg sandwich we ordered was pretty good. The texture of the bread was soft yet crispy and the eggs were fluffy. It didn't have any amazing condiments in it but it was well made. The hojicha latte was the best! The tea was brewed to perfection and sweetened with the right amount of sweetness. I'd definitely come back for the tea! It was nice trying this spot. If there was a line, I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes. But to each their own!

Yelp
I was so excited when I heard Suzuya opened in Chinatown, joining all the other popular bakeries, especially since it's much more convenient for me to swing by after work. I came in on a Friday afternoon, and thankfully, parking was easy, which is rare for this plaza. The interior is cute, and I'd been seeing the Moignet all over TikTok and Instagram, so I was eager to try it. Upon entering, there was no greeting or acknowledgment from the staff at all. The place was almost empty (only a couple of other people seated), yet the staff was too busy chatting behind the counter to simply say hi. No one was even standing by the register to readily answer any questions. Customer service was definitely lacking. I ordered the Yuzu Lemonade, 6 Moignets, Yuzu Panna Cotta, and Strawberry Crepe Cake. I love yuzu, but the lemonade was a letdown--it tasted like the La Croix version of lemonade, with just the thought of yuzu if you're imaginative enough. The biggest disappointment, though, was the Moignet and crepe cake. First off, I was extremely unhappy with finding the powdered sugar all over my fabric car seats falling out from the bottom of the box. Trying to dust it off only made matters worse as it just smeared into the fabric and I had to vacuum it out instead. I'm disappointed they find it acceptable to put something with powdered sugar in a folded up box that has openings at the bottom without parchment paper or anything to prevent that from happening. To make matters worse--the Moignet was overhyped. Seeing it all over social media and actually trying it, it did not live up to the hype at all. As for the crepe cake... the name is very misleading. When you think of a crepe cake, you expect layers and layers of crepes, right? Instead, this is literally a ROLLED up crepe, which was not what I imagined. I've included a picture for reference. On top of that, it was dry and lacked decent flavor, which made it a letdown overall. With such careless service and mediocrity, I'll be sticking to the original Suzuya on Buffalo. It's worth the extra drive for a much better experience.

Yelp
Excellent pot of tea. Japanese bakery and cute. Small portions. Croquette madam is not French and Japanese for example.

Yelp
This was a quaint cafe in the heart of Vegas Chinatown. Inside the cafe it had a very calm energy and a place where you are able to work or study. The service was pretty good; the staff was nice, but the moignets did take a bit to finish. Although, the moignets were worth the wait! The fluffy exterior felt like a cloud and had a hint of matcha flavor. The inside had chewy, soft mochi which added texture. The pastry was also not too sweet and had the right amount of sweetness. This was a great spin off the traditional beignets and I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Such a gem amongst the rise of Vegas Asian cafes! I've always loved going to Suzuya on S Buffalo but I'm so glad they opened one in the heart of Chinatown. My favorite at Suzuya will always be their matcha lattes. This time I tried their Croque Madame and it was soooo good & fulfilling! It came out hot & fresh & toasty The workers were so sweet & dressed cutely for the Halloween season. I like that they have comfy booths and it's nice & open, perfect for studying or working. My favorite part was that their booth windows open up & it created a nice breeze through the cafe, it felt like I was at home in Hawai'i lol. I'll be back!!!

Yelp
Mochi beignets were so darn delicious I would eat a whole order by myself. Must get! It's so soft & fluffy. The golden kiwi mochi was good. Kiwi was sweet, the outer mochi part was chewy & soft. I'd skip the fruit tarts. But it looked really cute & aesthetically nice which was why I got it. The cookie tart was a very buttery shortbread. It's alright not $5 worth getting though. Service was really good. A cute little dessert shop. I'd definitely come back just for the mochi beignets
google avatar

Leah C.

Yelp
We've been seeing the hype about the Green Tea Mochi Beignets so we had to try some! They were warm, and delicious. I didn't get much of the green tea flavor, but the yuzu dip definitely added another layer of flavor to the overall beignet. We ordered the 6 pieces, and the assortment of fruit tarts- strawberry, blueberry, orange, and pineapple. All delicious! The staff was very busy in the back, and the kitchen looked much bigger than the actual indoor dining area. It's January so it's still cold; it would've been nice to sit outside but there weren't any heaters, so we took it to go. I'd like to come back and dine in next time! The lady at the register was real nice and thanked us for the wait. Definitely check out this spot for a quick bite, or afternoon brunch with friends. Happy Eats

Yelp
A lovely cafe with fresh and delicious food and drinks. The cafe itself is cute, quaint, and cozy, and reminds me of the cafes I've been to in Japan. The service is good, and the prices are affordable. We ordered: - Mochi beignet (set of 6): so yummy, especially when paired with strawberry cream. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and not too sweet either. - Cherry blossom tea (in a pot): aromatic and soothing, with a lightly herbal taste. - White mushroom crepe: very flavorful, with lots of different textures. - Toasted PB&J sandwich w/ strawberry jam: the bread was nicely toasted, and slightly buttery. The jam was a bit on the sweet side for me, but it still satisfied my sandwich craving. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in Vegas!

Yelp
A very cute coffee shop place that has cute booths for seating with tables around. They're know for their mochi beignets and they did not disappoint. The manager gave a free sample of the moignet which came with matcha powder and powder sugar. It was so warm and chewing, with the right amount of crunch. They are on the small side which is fine but they do get messy from all the powder. I tried the 3 sauces that they had to offer which are yuzu cream, chocolate, and strawberry. The strawberry one was my favorite out of the 3 and paired well with the moignet. Definitely coming back to try the honey toast.
google avatar

Morris C.

Yelp
This place is under new ownership, and my experience this time was even better than my first visit. The food came out much faster, though that might be because I ordered the Moignet and two drinks. The matcha drink tasted authentic, but the strawberry refresher was just average to me. I also appreciated the outdoor seating, which was perfect for a March day in Las Vegas.

Yelp
This is inexpensive place for having breakfast or lunch ! Tea quality is amazing and affordable! Desserts are fantastic! Can't escape ! People who work here are so polite! Definitely visit more often !!!!

Yelp
We stopped here for a light breakfast before our drive home from Vegas. It's a small spot but was already packed with customers lining up on Sunday morning. The workers were sweet and friendly. We ordered the ham and cheese crepe and the curry cheese sando. While the portions were small, the flavors were rich, and we stayed full for the four-hour drive without feeling stuffed or uncomfortable.

Yelp
Cute little bakery in Chinatown, located to the very right of the plaza. I saw a few videos on IG and wanted to try their matcha moignets (mochi & beignets). I like that it was made to order so it was warm and fresh when we got ours. The dough was soft, fluffy, and a little chewy from the mochi. The matcha flavor is quite light but still there; I tasted the powdered sugar more. I thought the fruit tart was pricy but my friend did say it was really good. The owner is very sweet and personally went up to apologize to us that they didn't have a smaller box for the fruit tart which was no worries lol. Def try it out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Annie B.

Yelp
Ordered the beignet with mochi in the middle. Didn't get any dipping sauce. Came with lots of powder sugar with matcha powder. It was hot and fresh and worth it. The mochi in the middle was gooey. Would come again for it!

Yelp
Moignet, formerly Suzuya, is a nice experience. The cafe is cozy and inviting, with a warm atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The lady who took my order was incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding such a personal touch to the experience. I tried their signature moignets, and they were fantastic--fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. For takeout, I got the honey toast, which was delicious but a bit too sweet for my personal taste. The hot Earl Gray tea was a highlight for me--soothing, aromatic, and exactly what I was hoping for. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
I went around 4pm on a weekday. Got the 12 moignets for togo. The tablet prompted tip. I asked the cashier if I should get the dipping sauces, and she said they were optional. I ended up getting all 3 for $5. Waited about 5-10 minutes for them. They were pretty good. The powdered sugars made a bit of a mess when I ate them but whatever. Small, cozy cafe. Will be back but I would be more of an in-and-out togo customer. To me, they close too early but I think their target customers are the morning/brunch crowd.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute new cafe in Chinatown! The aesthetic inside made me feel like I was in Korea again. Parking is always difficult in this plaza so I parked across the street. Service was fast and workers even came to grab my trash and empty plates after eating. Prices are a little steep but quality in food is there. I loved the Golden Kiwi Mochi which was $4.50. A little small but so tasty. The fresh and cold of the fruit paired with the soft mochi texture was heaven. I wish I could only buy one moignet instead of 6 since I was full, but it was definitely worth it. It was served hot and the mochi inside melted in my mouth.
google avatar

Nette B.

Yelp
Stopped by since this location is closer to my home. I wanted a dessert that had Mochi in it. I walked in and I stood there for a bit until someone asked to take my order. There were a few people behind the counter but no one said hi. Even the Japanese female worker on the floor just kept saying something to the workers instead. Finally someone asked to take my order. I had the Ichigo Daifuku similar to the one I had at the other location. $7.50 for this dessert is not worth it. The brown paper bag also didn't have their seal on it compared to the other location which mind you the service was so much better. Also, the strawberry was on top instead of inside. Overall, with the negative experience, I'd go to the Buffalo location instead. Service is so much better.

Yelp
My husband and I finally had a chance to try out Suzuya Cafe's new location on Spring Mountain! We stopped by on a Thursday around 5:00 P.M., before the café closed! There were plenty of parking spots available at the time. There is table seating outside and inside the café! There are several booths, too, but all of the booths were in use when we visited. The majority of the cakes were all gone at the time. There were plenty of macarons left over, though! Looking over their menu, Suzuya Café offers a variety of sandwiches, desserts, and drinks! We had to try out their Moignets, though! It's matcha beignets with mochi filling. There is also matcha powered sugar on-top! We ended up placing our order for the following 1 Shoyu Caramel Macaron 1 Iced Green Tea An order of the 6 Moignets After placing the order, for inside the restaurant, we sat down at a table in front of the register. We noticed several other customers place an order to go after us. Waiting about 15 minutes, all of their orders came up before ours, including another customer who ordered Moignets as well. The team had forgotten our order and apologized to us. The Mochi Beignets were really good, though! The Moignets were fried perfectly! The powdered sugar on top wasn't too sweet either! The mochi was scrumptious! The iced green tea was yummy! I enjoyed the shoyu caramel macaron, too! It tasted similar to a sea salt caramel! I'm glad that we got to try out their beignets! It wasn't too expensive for the order, approximately $17.00. Maybe next time, we'll try out their sandos.

Yelp
The cutest cafe ever! This has been on my list forever, and I'm super happy I came to visit. I forgot to take a picture, but I got their mochi beignets, and I still think about them weeks later. The yuzu cream is actually AMAZING and I highly highly suggest trying it. Im a big matcha and hojicha snob, but this place really impressed me. I've had both lattes and think they are one of the best in vegas. So excited to come back and try more options!

Yelp
Such a cute cafe! My friends and I stopped by to try the moignet. Light and not too heavy. Super unique as I haven't had this combination before. It wasn't too sweet. Friendly staff. Would love to come back and try their other desserts!

Yelp
This place truly has a lot to offer when it comes to desserts. The variety is impressive, with everything from cakes and pastries to cookies and other sweet treats that are absolutely delicious. Whether you have a sweet tooth or just want a little something after a meal, the dessert options here are top-notch. The quality is clear, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making these desserts enjoyable. However, I do have one suggestion that I think would improve the overall experience--offering freshly made lunch options. While the convenience of the pre-made, refrigerated lunch items is understandable, it would be so much better to have freshly prepared meals as an option. There's something about a hot, made-to-order meal that makes a place feel more inviting and personal. The pre-packaged items just don't have the same appeal, and it feels like the focus is mostly on desserts, leaving the lunch options feeling a bit secondary. If they could incorporate some freshly made sandwiches, salads, or even a daily special, it would take this place to a whole new level. Having lunch that's made on the spot would complement their amazing desserts and make it a place where you could come for a full meal, not just a snack or treat. Overall, I think it has a lot of potential, but adding freshly prepared lunch items would really enhance the experience for customers looking for more than just dessert.

Yelp
Suzuya Cafe is a must try spot for their world famous moignets (mochi beignets)!!! They have two locations in Vegas and this one is located in Chinatown. There is a parking lot with a decent amount of spots. Inside, they have a good amount of seating with about 5-6 tables. They have a variety of goodies to get such as cakes, macaroons, Japanese sandos, crepes, coffee, lattes, and more! Since we already ate lunch before coming here, we opted to try their world famous moignets. They were so fluffy and chewy with the right amount of crunch and paired perfectly with the sauce options you can choose from. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area. All the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come try out their glorious moignets for yourself!

Yelp
Yelp Review 2024 #78: I've been a fan of Suzuya since day 1 when their first location was still at Durango and Warm Springs then moved to Buffalo and Warm Springs. Then, they opened this tiny cafe in Chinatown that used to be a chicken restaurant. We came a few times during soft opening. I made the mistake of reading some of their Yelp reviews stating their moignets were burnt, their mochi pull is unsatisfactory compared to influencers. So, I leaned towards not getting them. There has always been lots of people when we come here. This cafe and their Buffalo location have lots of things that are different: Chinatown cafe is smaller and cramped (they also have outside seating with fans but it's still too hot in 100+ degree weather), they only have mini cakes, the strawberry on their ichigo daifuku is on top instead of inside the mochi, they don't do pre-orders (which I think is a better system. The Buffalo location sometimes take pre-orders for certain items, sometimes they don't and it's frustrating), and this location has moignets which you can't get at the Buffalo location. So, what's up with these controversial moignets? Moignets: "The first & original by Suzuya. Perfect blend of house-made mochi & beignet dough, fresh mochi filling and dusted with matcha powdered sugar." Mochi + beignet = Moignet (mon-yay). I'm sorry to those that had burnt ones. Ours were perfect. If you want a nice mochi pull, you have to do your pull while they're still hot (duh?!) but do brown non-influencer people really care about that? I don't, I just want something that tastes good. Comparing these to Cafe du Monde beignets? Come on! I've been to CdM several times - that's not a real flex and an unfair basis for comparison (LOL). Snaps to Suzuya for being innovative. The moignets we got were hot, nice, fluffy, soft, with soft mochi inside, topped with lots of powdered sugar with matcha. I was wearing black - I don't recommend it as I had to dust myself off. Not too sweet and a nice twist to a very basic beignet 4.5/5 White Mushroom Crepe: One of the many things Suzuya does well (actually, they do everything well) is their crepe. There's magic in their batter. Scrambled Egg Whites with Gruyere, Mozzarella and Romano Cheese, Shimeji Mushroom, Roasted Pepper, Lettuce and House-made Mayo, add ham because why not? Textures and flavors on point. 5/5 Morning Sando: Scrambled eggs with Gruyère/Mozzarella Cheese, Salt, Pepper with Ketchup and House-made Mayo, add ham. Their shokupan is just perfect. Buttery, light, soft, fluffy that when they toast it adds more depth to a product that's already fantastic. I cannot eat a ham and egg sandwich anywhere else! 5/5 Iced Matcha: I can always trust a Japanese establishment to make matcha drinks properly (duh?!). Starbucks' matcha is garbage but when you're desperate it'll do. The deep bright green hue and the taste of Suzuya's matcha is consistent. You can get it sweet or not sweet but even their sweet version isn't sweet which I like so you can really savor the flavor of matcha 5/5 Passion Fruit Iced Green Tea: Green tea with passionfruit without being tart. It has a nice sweetness to it. It's a refreshing drink. 5/5 Chocolate Cake: This is a staple for me. Every trip to Suzuya would not be complete without this cake. I hate chocolate cake because it's always too sweet but not this. This is the only chocolate cake I can eat because you taste chocolate and not just sugar. The sponge cake is fluffy and isn't dry. The frosting is soooo good. The crunchy chocolate toppings are great. 5/5 Ichigo Daifuku: Strawberry mochi with red bean filling. I mean mentioned previously that the Chinatown location has their strawberry (tanghulu) on top instead of stuffed inside the mochi which is actually better aesthetically but it makes it look smaller - you're getting the same amount of filling and mochi. The strawberry on top is smaller than the Buffalo location's version. This is a seasonal item 4.5/5 Mango Mochi: Half a slice of mango wrapped in mochi. Simple but delicious. Just fruit and mochi, no fluff. Also a seasonal item 5/5 But what Suzuya does that's consistent are: the excellent service and the delicious drinks, cakes, cream puffs, mochi, sandos, and crepes...and having us leave $100+ poorer every trip. Everyone at this location was nice, friendly and attentive. They checked on us from time to time and made sure we got everything we needed in less than 5 minutes! Our food came out quick. They held our desserts in boxes for us until we were ready to leave. I will forever be a fan of Suzuya. They've been around for over 10 years and hopefully another 10+ more.

Yelp
Cute and cozy cafe, I been to Suzuya southwest but decided to check this one out too. Found out they make these adorable desserts here that were almost too cute to eat. One was coffee flavored and one tasted like tiramisu. Both very good. The service was very good they made recommendations, were attentive and friendly. Definitely going back to try more.

Yelp
Not sure how to rate this place because in the end we didn't get anything. Let me back up... my mother and I stopped by to get coffee after grabbing a sando from GYU+ (same ownership). I asked if they had almond milk but was told the only milk substitute they had was oat milk. I then tried to order a decaf oat milk latte for my mother, but was told they don't have decaf (only with their teas). Then I tried ordering a mocha with oat milk; however, I was told they can't do that because their mocha is premixed. At that point I thanked them and left. It's odd that a cafe in 2025 wouldn't have the options I asked for. Hopefully they change that in the future. The inside was cute and the pastries in the case looked good and they were very colorful. The cashier was also very friendly. Therefore, my review is based on this place not having items you can easily find in other cafes.

Yelp
Tried their new tea for 2 service. So lovely! The cafe is cute, the wall is so calming and the food- wow! We had their tea service and what a nice way to spend lunch with a friend You get your choice of teas, two macarons, a sweet rice dumpling filled with red bean, and a lucious 1/2 strawberry. They give you a half sando (1/4 of each of these) a ham and cucumber and a tuna salad. Finally you get a beautiful choice of mini cake from their cake display, we chose strawberry shortcake. Gave the tea service a 4 star, cuz bestie...it would have been nice to have a bit more savory sando. The 1/4 of each sando wasn't quite enough, Granted I didn't eat the strawberry shortcake at the cafe, but I ended up ordering a classic egg sando, I just needed a bit more savory. Food and atmosphere were on spot.

Yelp
The food alone gives this place five stars, but the service was amazing. They were very punctual and kind. Very classy space and cute seating areas outside. Their hot sandwiches are very good and their desserts are even better! Highly recommend if you're in the area or not! It's great especially if you want a quick delicious bite to eat.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed at the new location...I've always gone to the first Suzuya and was excited to try after seeing influencers posting videos on Instagram. It's the soft opening right now and It has new items and we were especially excited about the "Moignets". We got the moignets quick but it took 10+ minutes for the drinks...we had to ask them about it and didn't get an update until we had to ask them AGAIN. They were apologetic and they wanted to make it up so their customer service was nice at least. What really disappointed me was the quality and taste of the moignets. They came out in drastic different sizes and looked BURNT...and then we spilt it and tried 3...there was barely any mochi at all mostly breading. It was 6 for $9 before tax. They need quality control and to treat ALL their customers fairly...not to look good with their influencers and serve these. I attached photos for reference of what we got and what it was "supposed" to look like. I really hope Suzuya steps it up as a Japanese bakery and fixes the quality of their goods by Grand opening.

Yelp
Been hearing good things and decided to finally stop by today! We tried their moignets, espresso, and a cappuccino. The dessert was fluffy and paired well with their strawberry cream and our coffee drinks. I personally liked the portion sizes as I could try many items without getting too full. They had many other fruit desserts as well that I can't wait to try next time we're back!

Yelp
I came with a friend on a Friday afternoon around 1pm. There's a good amount of people here at this time and the place has plenty of seating to accommodate. I've tried the other location (Suzuya Patisserie) several times, and their menus look similar with the exception of the moignets. We tried the moignets, hojicha latte, and curry sando with avocado. We shared 6 moignets for $9. I thought it was just okay. It was very dense and the top layer was kind of hard. I don't know why I was expecting moist and fluffy beignets... maybe because it's not really a beignet. The beignets at Cafe du Monde in NOLA will always be the best. Curry sando with avocado was good. It's on plain white toasted bread, but the flavor of the curry, eggs, and avocado was perfect. Hojicha latte was delicious, although a bit on the too sweet side, but maybe next time I'll just ask them if it's possible to adjust the sweetness level.

Yelp
I recently got into the whole sando thing. They are absolutely delicious. We decided to try this location because of the popularity on socials. It is a small cafe not very much seating and it get crowded fairly quickly. We decided to take ours Togo and waited to order. We browsed the grab and go options as Other locations also have and this one is more limited with not much to choose. Could be the time of day but it was fairly empty. I ordered the Suzuya Croque because I saw someone had it and it looked good. It is a little more on the pricey side. It is not a large sandwich and they will set you back about $10 or so dollars (not much but it's not a lot of product for the money you spend on it) the flavors were great needing a little salt but that's just personal preference. The toasted PBJ has little fuzzies on the bread like if the toast was laid on a towel and it just collected the little lint. Not major but maybe something to look at as a potential improvement. Overall 8/10 and would recommend to try it if in the China town area. Very aesthetically pleasing.

Yelp
This is a beautiful cafe, with a simple and clean aesthetic. We tried the mochi beignets and the sandos. I got the curry sando and added bacon. It was DELICIOUS. The quality of the bread was great, the egg was fluffy and the curry was such a nice touch. The bacon was thin and crispy. The Mochi beignets were just okay. I wouldn't get it again, the but the sandwich was 5/5.

Yelp
Matcha beignets were fresh, unique, and delicious! I've never had beignets made with mochi. It is a perfect combo of fluffy, light, airy, and chewy. I had the strawberry cream and yuzu sauces, which were great additions. The strawberry cream is like a fresh thinner cream sauce that isn't too sweet, and the yuzu is a thicker, citrusy lemon sauce that complemented the beignets well. I combined both sauces, and it made for a perfect combo. I also tried the kiwi crepe and banana foster mochi, and thought they were very solid as well. The customer service was amazing, as owner Freddie was welcoming, kind, and was gracious enough to explain each of the desserts in depth. The staff is incredibly nice as well. Would come here again, especially the beignets!
