"Unless you’re allergic to lime or mint or parties, it’s impossible not to have fun at Mojito. This bright Venezuelan spot in Maple Leaf is a great escape from the soggy outdoors mainly because of the delicious arepas, pastelitos, and braised meats. The mango dressing on the salads is great if you want something lighter, too. We once had our entire table ambushed with free tequila shots on arrival, so just be prepared." - aimee rizzo

You’re here for arepas, braised pork, tostones, seafood, and obviously mint, lime, and rum cocktails. If the owner gives your group a round of tequila shots, don’t ask questions. "While this Maple Leaf party restaurant specializes in multiple cuisines, the Caribbean stuff is where Mojito really excels. You’ll find a dependable cubano, with roasted pork so tender and tangy we’d spear a fork through all of the cheese and mustard to cop an exclusive bite. Vaca frita tastes excellent in the same mouthful as maduros. And guiso de pollo is more comforting than chicken noodle soup. "Eating at Mojito is like one big party that you will certainly want an e-vite for. The music’s loud, the owner will probably chat with you before comping your group a round of tequila shots, and everything from their pressed Cubano to tangy braised beef with maduros is really good.
