Monochrome Brewing

This is a nice big space with plenty of seating. The beers on tap are all good, much better than the old brewery that was here before. It’s easy to park outside and you can bring your own food in.

What an awesome location! The building is beautiful! Large, spacious beer hall. While we were there was a family celebrating a special occasion and still PLENTY of room for patrons. The bartender was personable and knowledgeable! So glad we stopped! Do yourself a favor and stop in! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

We were at a 50th birthday party here last night and it was a blast!!! The staff and the bartenders were so nice and so attentive. We had between 75-100 guests and they didn’t skip a beat. They also had a pop-up restaurant called Heffer BBQ and it was the BESTTT bbq we have ever eaten. Overall incredible experience here , 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Vibe, service, and music.. it can go bad bunny, it can go junior H… then One time I heard alternative. Quality design inside. Atmosphere is on point. Props to these guys and their work. Wish they had food.

Cool event bit overwhelming. Lacking character from my perspective. Good beer and drink. The bathroom situation should be addressed. 2 stalls for the whole place. There was a large event to be fair. Might check it out when there isn't such a large event going on.

Hit up Monochrome Brewing in Pilsen last Friday and had a blast. I tried a flight—Power of Contrast DIPA, El Venado Mexican lager, and Project Nova stout, plus a Lone Star from the taps. Each beer hit different: the stout was dessert-level, the lager crisp and light, IPA super juicy. Taproom’s spacious, dog-friendly, staff were chill. Real Pilsen gem—I’ll be back for sure!

Rolled through last weekend and copped a Pilsen Pils and their new Quazi New Zealand Pilsner—both brews were crisp and on point. Dropped about $14 for the pair, which ain't bad for quality craft beer. The vibe's chill with plenty of space to kick back, and the staff? Mad friendly. Plus, it's dog-friendly, so bring your pup along. Definitely my new go-to spot for a laid-back beer in the neighborhood.

Cute spot! Previous reviews said they had small offerings. Not anymore ! They now have excellent beer list! Speaking to the bartender, was told they had small list when opening due to Chicago beer laws. Now they have extensive list. They also have wine and cocktails. For suburbanites, there is plentiful street parking and around the corner. Pricing is very reasonable.

Luckily we found a nearby parking spot, which everyone knows could be tough in Chicago, haha. It's not super big, but has plenty of seating. The staff is friendly. It's always nice to be greeted when you walk in. The beer is decent, too.

I went back with a friend for a second visit and they are definitely way more settled in now. The place has a Mexican vibe/theme. The owners were both very nice. They have several beers on the menu now - mostly hazy IPA which is right up my alley! Good service, good beers! They also have Mexican cocktails, wine, mocktails, and other N.A. options. Very clean and spacious. Would recommend, will definitely return.

So happy to have Monochrome in the neighborhood!! We went last night for their public opening and the energy was amazing. Everyone seems super excited to have a brewery back in this space (used to be Lo Rez). The brewery is very spacious, allows dogs, and is great for kids. They have indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. Bring your own food, but they plan to have food trucks and pop ups. The beer menu was pretty good. A good variety of house beers, something for everyone - IPA, seltzers, stout. And they also had guest drafts from some pretty cool breweries. I liked their Epsicle Layers orange creamsicle beer and my husband liked the Tetrachromatic stout. You can get 6 ounce pours, which is really nice. Plenty of street parking, free wifi. What more can you ask for? We're very excited to visit throughout the summer!

Beers were amazing! People that worked there were super friendly, patient, and welcoming. They had darts which we had a blast playing and then watched some football on their enormous projector. I can't wait to go back!

I was sad when Lo Rez closed last year. Even if it wasn't my favorite brewery, it was still nice to have a South Side brewery, and I really liked the space, both indoor and the patio. Thankfully a new brewery has come in and is using the space again. It looks exactly the same as before (minus the logo being new). They only have 3 beers of their own on tap, which is admittedly low, but at least they have multiple guest taps and seltzers to fill out the beer list. Hopefully they continue to brew some more new beers as the months go on, if so I'll happily come over and check them out. Overall I'm just glad a new brewery came in and took advantage of the space.

Nice giant space. The brewery is newer and while the lineup of their beers was small, what I had was great and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable.
