Moro serves creative North African and Spanish dishes in a lively setting, perfect for sharing tasty tapas and cocktails with friends.
"Nothing says you’re ready for a bit of interpretative dance than a meal of things like grilled squid, lamb fattee (a delicious mound of rice, chickpeas, aubergine, and sauces), and a trifle to finish off. It’s a good thing you’re watching, rather than performing, said dance. Get all of this plus an excellent atmosphere at Moro, a North African-Spanish spot on Exmouth Market." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Moro was one of the first to make using seasonal produce a thing nearly 20 years back, and still today, their regularly changing menu will take you on a mini adventure, combining local meats—like roasted pork belly—with some of the great spices and flavours they encountered on their travels—like the corn migas and churrasco sauce. The Spanish/Moroccan restaurant is on Exmouth Market and feels like you’re at a sophisticated dinner party with your mates—the mates who can name a couple of regions in Italy where wine is grown. Come to Moro with those people. It’s perfect for a catch-up and a lively night out. " - sinead cranna, jake missing
"Full of customers and full of life, with service that is engaging and on-the-ball, Moro remains as popular as ever and is the perfect fit for the increasingly busy Exmouth Market. The Moorish menu is full of interesting, flavour-packed dishes, but the wood-roasted options are the ones to go for. The open kitchen adds to the atmosphere of the animated room, and their next-door tapas bar, Morito, is also worth visiting." - Michelin Inspector
"For mums who like big personalities Restaurants can sometimes reflect the personalities of their diners, or vice versa. People who like the idea of natural things gravitate towards natural wine bars. In big, red-tableclothed restaurants that have been serving the same thing for 15 years, you’ll find lots of people who have been eating and wearing the same thing for 15 years. These are gross generalisations of course, but, by and large, they sort of stand up. Moro is a restaurant with big, in your face North African flavours. They’re loud but they’re considered. If your mum’s the sort who’d polish off a bottle of red and speak a bit louder than she intends to, then this is your place." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"Moro is another permanent fixture restaurant in London. It’s been serving delicious Mediterranean-inspired food to Londoners for over 20 years, and it’s an ‘every life stage’ kind of restaurant. As in, people will come here for a first date and share some escabeche, then come for an anniversary and a whole chargrilled halibut. Before they know it, there’ll be a couple kids next to them shovelling chicken fatteh into their mouths." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Rianne Shlebak
