This is a great concept! Basically, you pay to pay to play with cats and kittens. If you fall in love, you can adopt one (they are all rescues furnished by local shelters). If you don't, then you've had a great time interacting with them. My daughter adores cats, but we don't want to own one right now, so this was a great way to let her interact with her furry friends. The cats ranged from playful to cuddly to (of course) stand-offish - so you got a good mix of feline companionship. I also met the owner, and he was very friendly and engaging (we talked about horror movies for about 20 minutes - making him awesome in my book). They also have struggled a lot between govt. bureaucracy and the pandemic, so I really admire their ability to get this place up and running!
But there was a bit of downside. First, it's quite an expensive endeavor. One hour for myself, my daughter, and my wife was $70.00. It's far more cost effective to get a daily or monthly pass if you are located close by. My hope is that once they are on solid footing, the hourly rate comes down a bit so it's more accessible. They are still working on getting the cafe fully operational, so it's a bit unfair to grade them on it yet. Ultimately, they hope to have a full coffee, alcohol, and panini biz up and running. But for now, it's only coffee drinks (and a pretty limited selection too). I'll definitely update this review the next time I go when everything is fully furnished.
