"I read that cat cafe and wine bar Mount Purrnon recently raised $25,500 on Kickstarter and that owner Kristin Cowan is in talks to find real estate near King Street in Old Town Alexandria. She hopes to outfit the space with a wine bar and a coffee bar stocked with pastries, with an adjoining room where visitors can commune with cats; Cowan said she loves Old Town's old feel and history and thought the punny name would tie into that small-town vibe.
