The 11 Best Restaurants in London Right Now | Bon Appétit

"A larger, more expansive package from a chef known for hearth-driven cooking and obsessive sourcing: more seats, grander grills and an adventurous ingredient-focused menu that invites sharing and discovery. House-made sobrasada from Mallorca, beef from heirloom dairy breeds aged on the hoof, and other lovingly sourced products spotlight the chef’s curiosity and joie de vivre—the kind of ambitious, well-resourced restaurant where the kitchen clearly enjoys experimenting and rewarding diners in equal measure." - ByAmiel Stanek

A Guide to Wood-Fired Cooking, London's Culinary Craze

"Mountain is the second restaurant by Tomos Parry, earning a Michelin Star like its predecessor, Brat. It continues the tradition of wood-fired cooking with a focus on high-quality produce cooked with minimal fuss." - Andrew Young

Are These London Restaurants Worth The Hype?

"The Verdict: Occasionally delicious, full of buzz, but it leaves you feeling a little meh. Mountain is Brat’s big Soho sibling and getting into this two-floored, Spanish-cum-Welsh, 100-cover behemoth is difficult because it was born into the world as The Place To Be—and normies and hot Irish normal people know it. Some of the food and open-fire cooking is very good, and sitting at the counter upstairs or down with some grilled langoustines and funky wine is the move. But anything bigger than that feels too busy, or tastes too familiar, to be truly special." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley

Where To Go If You Want To Run Into Paul Mescal

"Nearest Irish exit: Green Park (0.8km) It was a Saturday night in Soho. We were wearing gingham and had four more glasses of wine than intended, when we peered into the window of this dimly lit Spanish-Welsh restaurant where hot people order spider crab omelettes. And there he was, sitting next to A Guy From Stranger Things. For the first time since pretending to have a vested interest in a Tennessee Williams play, we saw Paul in a restaurant that serves £92 Friesian beef ribs. Fate is a beautiful thing. The two soon-to-be gladiators then stepped outside and shared a Marlboro while we internally screamed." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
