"A rare find of a Filipino coffee shop far from Queens, Williamsburg’s Mountain Province serves fair trade, single-origin coffee from the mountainous regions of the Philippines that you can enjoy in their space designed as an homage to the owner’s lola (grandmother). I like to pair a strong cup of coffee with ensaymada, a rich brioche bun stuffed with ube custard, blanketed by a layer of butter and sugar - especially since theirs are fresh and always retain their fluffiness. If you’re in the mood for more than a coffee and pastry merienda, Mountain Province also has paninis, picadillo buns, and some other lunch items." - paolo espanola

"We went to Mountain Province Espresso Bar. She wanted me to try this brioche they have. They had another eggy-type thing, which had grated cassava, coconut milk, and coconut cream as part of it, and a type of glaze that’s done by toasting condensed milk."

"Flavorful coffee beans from Cordilleras farmers in the Mountain Province of the Philippines are ground and served at this charming Filipino-inspired full-service coffee shop in East Williamsburg. Their small pastry case features well-executed homey recipes for popular Filipino treats like a soft ube ensaymada, a creamy, smooth caramelized cassava cake, and semisweet coconut bibingka. The servings are small in comparison to other Filipino shops’, meant to be little complements to their well-known taro and matcha lattes." - John Tsung, Liza de Guia

"There are more coffee shops in Williamsburg than there are Tuesday-Thursday parking spots, but this Filipino cafe is one of the few you should adjust your regular caffeine-and-pastry routine for. Get a cup of single-origin espresso produced in the Philippines, and an ensaymada. This fluffy brioche bun is filled with ube custard, then covered in butter and sugar. You might sugar-crash at 3pm like a kindergartener, but would that really be such a bad thing?" - Hannah Albertine

A welcoming and charming cafe with amazing coffee, and an expansive espresso + tea menu. The Taro latte is a must try when you want more than your usual coffee. The family run establishment *also* has delicious Filipino breakfast treats. My favorite is the pork longanissa! A bonus is being able to see them put everything together. Everything is delicious and made with love. My favorite morning spot in the neighborhood. Grab a book, and chill in the am at this spot.

I live in the neighborhood and this is my go to coffee shop. Very nice staff. In addition to great coffee they have delicious coconut cakes and taro muffins, which are more exciting than your typical coffee shop's croissants and scones.

Coffee's great, food is delicious hearty Filipino breakfast fare ie indulgent Tapsilog and Longsilog for days (don't panic vegans they do a beautiful elaborated avo toast), and for desserts they have the best ube ensaymada and cassava cake in New York, made in house!

Ranging menu options (both to drink and to eat) and excellent ceramics. The sunny wallpaper and varied music selections make the cafe a welcoming environment for working or reading.

I always get my lattes from here when I’m in the area. Get an ensaymada for snack or add some short ribs tapa, if you’re hungry.
