At 1130, I expected a huge crowd. Luckily, the crowd didn't hit until we were getting ready to leave.
The decor of this restaurant is super cute! It's not your average decor, you have to see it. I kind of want a plant wall in my house now.
We were greeted and seated promptly. At the first glance of the menu, I was NOT ready for a book! My goodness, there are SO many options, and it all sounded great. I think the menu was 5 or 6 pages? Breakfast, BBQ, and Filipino food.
The waitress recommended the brisket, which my friend got. I had a sample of it. Honestly, that was some of the best smoked brisket I'd ever had in my life! I kind of wished I had gone with the brisket platter I was considering. The issue we found with the brisket sandwhich is the bread was SO thick it was mostly bread. Very little meat on it.
I ordered the shrimp with bacon and grits that were absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite! The dish was so flavorful!
The patty melt was average, nothing spectacular.
The French fries seemed homemade they were pretty good.
My daughter got French toast but didn't want to eat it because she found hair in it:/ I didn't blame her.
The food took quite some time to get. The waitress did let us know they cooked everything from scratch. Maybe that is what the delay was.
The staff were friendly. There were a few girls that came by to make sure our drinks were topped off. Our waitress never really came back to check on us, though.
It is on the pricier side, but the portions are pretty huge.
Overall, I liked the ambiance and the food was great! I'll probably be back for more of that melt in your mouth brisket! It was so delicious! Just order it if you're thinking about it.
